Oud Jumeira

I have worn this fragrance a few times now, and currently wearing it today in the office - it’s fantastic and well worth a try if you like Mason Crivelli’s Oud Maracuja. The performance, projection and sillage are all good and it doesn’t blast off my skin like a lot of MC fragrances do, so Oud Jumeira is a bit more wearable day to day and in places like the office where you need to be considerate of others. I don’t think I could wear OM to the office without being very conscious of how much I apply due to that projection. OM radiates more from my skin and lasts an hour or 2 longer, but that is the only noticeable positives against OJ. OJ’s opening is a little fruitier and the leather is a lot smoother in the dry down to my nose. If you like this DNA profile and want a more wearable fragrance then you should check this out. You can get 3x50ml bottles for around the same price of one bottle of OM, and in my opinion Oud Maracuja is 100% not worth 3 times as much as Oud Jumeira. You can also get a 10ml tester for £20, which I have but I’ll be upgrading to the full bottle once it’s finished.

This is such a better and more wearable version of OM. The fruity aspects shine more and the dry down is far less harsh and synthetic. With the price point you’d be mad not to at least try the sample/travel spray of this.

The top is synthetic not sure if that is supposed to be the plastic of the saffron. OM has the noticeable realistic fruit and a more rounded oud. I know the price difference is major but I would pay for OM. OJ becomes very generic in its oud smell. Probably a good starter point for someone with oud. Overall a bit functional for me.
