I.Mirage 23

Starts off with a blast of bergamot, lemon, black currant, and rosemary which takes you through an Aventus DNA journey, but little by little this beauty morphs, into one of the most relaxing, tranquil floral chypre's I've yet to try. The immortelle is so brilliantly and enthusiastically done, that it is the star of the show here, and it should be ranked higher. This is an absolute mood lifter, very cheery and playful and would balance out my collection that mostly revolves around darker, and more enticing scents. I can see my self owning a bottle at one point. Enzo Galardi certainly knows how to blend well, and has definitely stirred my curiosity towards his other works. Not surprised as this is the same perfumer behind Bois 1920, another quality house. The overall scent is a cross of Aventus and Oud Immortelle.

People liken this to Aventus, whereas it’s actually closer to Bois 1920 Parana (which in itself is a deviation of the Aventus theme). Indeed both Bois and IO.KO are linked by the same perfumer. Both fragrances are very similar and both share an earthy patchouli backbone, but I prefer this one as the patchouli is slightly toned down. I get a slightly sharper opening with this one too, especially with the lemon and pepper. There’s a floral mid as others have mentioned although I can’t say I pick up much leather in the base. It’s not a clone but it is like a summer version of Aventus, with better performance. Although not groundbreaking, it’s a very nice, quality fragrance. The presentation is nice and the sprayer is excellent. Longevity is fairly decent with moderate projection.

A beautiful floral sister of Aventus, incredible floral and exotic chypre. It is ways better than most Aventus inspired or dare I say clone scents, and I.Mirage 23 is definitely not a clone, but a same genre scent with kind of a similar vibe, which goes to more floral and slightly soapy direction. Mirage 23 have very natural and realistic smelling notes, absolutely sublime citrus and florals. It is classy and luxurious fragrance with superb performance, with it you get a very Italian impression. I.Mirage 23 was one of the favorites from the line together with I.Egocentric and I.Patchouly, wish IO.KO line was a little less pricey, but the quality is superb.

Call it for what it is, a straight-up Creed Aventus clone. It has a bit more fruitiness (fruity batch for you batch-heads) and some floral elements and is very polished. I do personally prefer it over Aventus and of course, it is much cheaper. Scent: 9/10 Originality: 1/10 Affordability: 7/10

Different take on Aventus. Also, for this price point, I would expect better performance. Hard pass.
