Le Flocon de Johann K

My favorite from the collection, Le Flocon de Johann K, is like a translucent scent, aquatic without leaning on cucumber and fresh like the water from the stream you'll find on a mountain hike. To me, it was really reminiscent of that time I was going to Italy by train; we were late, and it was a night train. It was pretty terrible; we couldn't shower, and the air was moist and warm inside the train. At one point we stop in a train station, and we are informed that we can get out for a few minutes. It was like 6AM in november, and when I got off the train, we were in Switzerland, at the foot of a mountain, and I breathed the most beautiful air I'd ever experienced. Cold, fresh, translucent, pure, and with no unwanted odors. Le flocon is that breath to me. I could not describe cyclamen for the life of me, but I see why it would be useful here; it is kind of aquatic and clean. The mimosa, which would not be the flower I'd expected here, is just perfect; it makes for a perfume that screams fresh and ozonic without being too metallic or synthetic (in the feeling, not in the notes). The mint is more like minty notes, nothing sharp; it's a feeling that keeps the perfume fresh even after the opening. The drydown is a beautiful white musk and yellow flower that smells so good. It does not last forever, but I guess no fragrance of that sort does. I wear it to sleep or on spring days when it's still cold in the morning but the days are already sunny and warm. An absolute pleasure. I will get a full bottle. Also the comment behind is right, and I would not have been able to put it to words like that, but it as an iris-violet quality, which is probably why Le flocon spoke to my heart like that. And last but not least, I've met Isabelle Larignon during the Paris perfume week and she's so nice, also if you speak french she participated in a few podcasts and she has many interesting things to say about her work and how she became a perfumer.

Le Flocon is incredibly artistic and one of the most beautiful fragrances I have ever experienced. It opens piercing cold: an aldehydic and angelic floral quality yet simultaneously watery and aquatic and icy. Despite no iris listed- cylcamen, mimosa absolute, and narcissus conspire to create a phantom iris-violet accord that is convincing. The drydown settles into oakmoss, narcissus, mimosa, and white musk. It leans slightly femme but transcends gender. It evokes frozen beauty, there is something other-wordly and ethereal about it. The longevity and projection are somewhat fleeting, but transience in this case to give rise to appreciation of the beauty held within. Larignon deserves recognition for this scent. Many white musks attempt something this ethereal and beautiful, but this is flawlessly executed. Masterpiece if you are looking for a white musk fragrance. This smells exactly like my beloved grandma's kitchen. What the heck! I suddenly remembered the hum of the fridge and the ticking of the clock. Maybe it was some cleaner she consistently used? Indeed, how did her kitchen always smell like this? I love it for that alone, makes me feel close to her. I realize that makes my review entirely unhelpful for others, as it's highly personal. But I hope you too find a fragrance that smells like a beloved. I can't even describe the notes. I don't think it smells aquatic (doesn't smell like other aquatic fragrances), or ozonic, or floral. At first blast I get anise that fades, and slight mint. I don't know what cyclamen smells like, but I don't get floral. I tried it because someone said it smells like shampoo. Maybe.

I love this, and it was surprising. I've only smelled something remotely similar in both perfume and life twice. Once was from a sample from a small independent Australian brand that sadly didn't last a year, and the other is... hospitals. The latter sounds unpleasant, but I swear I love hospitals. The former was a brand that had two fragrances. One that smelled like my grandfather's hair care company's factory. Where they'd put all the raw ingredients and cosmetic ingredients etc. It was a weeeeird smell. One that smelt like this... a hot water in a plastic cup, sun roasted golden mimosa and just a weird chemical scent that worms its way through the entire wear.

This is super fresh. The minute you spray it is like a slap in the face with mint, it’s pretty sharp but only lasts a minute or so. Quick dry down of mimosa and aquatic notes before the whole scent vanishes like a fart in wind in about 10 minutes 🙁. I love the scent but performance is dismal.

Pleasant, cool mimosa, very dry and un-floral, the coolness fitting with the perfume's name The Snowflake . It's chilly-fresh in the nose too from mint, possibly Iso E Super and some cold, ozonic musks. Violet leaf isn’t listed but I wonder if its plasticky green qualities have been used in the cyclamen accord. Le Flocon is rather beautiful but mimosa is hard for me to wear. It leans mossier on skin as well as more synthetic though after 30 minutes it settles to simple mimosa with a frosty ozonic slant and a twist of lemon. Overall a beauty, just a shade too much white musk for me.

Review of “e Flocon de Johann K” by Isabelle Larignon I've been wearing e Flocon de Johann K on my skin for a while now, and the scent continues to surprise me. To my nose, it smells almost entirely of ozone — the same sharp, clean, almost metallic note you encounter in facial treatment clinics or near electric fences in the countryside. It's incredibly evocative and oddly nostalgic. What fascinates me the most is how pure and focused it is. I couldn’t detect much beyond the ozone note at first, but over time, a faint green nuance appears in the dry-down, giving it a slightly more natural, earthy feel. Still, the dominant impression remains: pure, clinical ozone. I had no idea such a precise, atmospheric scent could be captured in a perfume. It's clean, cool, and utterly unique. Not for everyone, but undeniably genius in its execution. I purchased the discovery kit with the three perfumes in 10ml format, and I truly enjoyed all three. However, I don’t think I would go for a full-size bottle of any of them

Le Flocon de Johann K is a brilliantly fresh and ozonic take on mimosa. It initially opens sharp and refreshing with citric notes, alongside intensely fresh ozonic and watery fantasy accords which accentuate this refreshing aspect of the scent. From here the star of the scent begins to shine - a heady dose of mimosa which is slightly green and powdery, offset by a subtle hint of mint. This minty mimosa mingles with the ozonic and watery notes for the duration of the scent’s life which makes for a fairly interesting composition. I must say the quality is decent, however I think you can only go so far in terms of quality when the bulk of the scent revolves around fantasy accords. This is a very pleasant fragrance which would do well in the summer but it’s not really for me.

fairy dusts twinkling in the air, soft gushes of waterfall flowing into the lily studded lake, and sparkling, flying dragonflies surrounding the atmosphere, their light reflecting off the water's surface. this is a secluded hideout where all the nymphs of the forest gather and sing their lullabies with accompanying harps and celestas. this is for those who dream to glow and be born with wings. le flocon de johann k by isabelle larignon is everything i wanted in every aquatic floral scent, specifically lilyphea by diptyque. this is the lost piece to my puzzle. it is incredibly atmospheric, aquatic and ozonic, evoking the feeling of being hit by breeze of cold lake air, accompanied with scent trails of succulent florals and mint. the scent doesn't leave you hanging, it balances itself with a.. lack of a better word fleshy accord that blends beautifully and gives the whole scent structure and body, and encases the celestial scent. first sniff, all i could ever think about were fairies bathing in a glowing lake at night. frosti by bjork in a bottle it is love at first sniff, one of the most beautiful fragrances i have ever, ever, ever, tried. as ethereal as this fragrance is, it is fleeting in terms of longevity. but honestly, who cares. not everything has to last, because sometimes transience give rise to appreciation of its beauty. this fragrance deserves a standing round of applause, bravo isabelle! edit: update, its been 5-6 months since ive smelled this. to my dismay, i hate this now because of the ozones. i don’t know why, but come spring i just gagged at the ozones... fuck..

Waw, it’s surprising I have nothing like this in my collection but i’m not sure I like it. For me it smell like cleaning product or some kind of fancy bubble Bath. But the most interesting part for me in this perfume is that I really get a tingly sensation in my nose, like the bite of cold during winter morning, I will wear it more, it’s really interesting from a perfume building standpoint, but not sure it fits my own vibe. I have a sample of the three first perfume from Isabelle Larignon and I was surprised that the three of them have more or less the same top note (bergamot, bucchu and cardamom) but the three of them are really different and convey a different mood. Here I definitely get clean (overclean) winter vibe
