Mandi Rhubi

A wonderful springtime scent. I adore rhubarb in general, I adore it here. You also have to love green apple and blackcurrant to wear this. If I had to describe this fragrance in one word: crisp. Crisp like biting into a green apple or breaking a rhubarb stem in two. Joyful, sweet, juicy, green. Really decent longevity and strength - more than I personally expect from a freshie. Milky Dragon is one of my favourite perfumes, but it still took me a while to decide between these two, and now that spring is back again... Sigh...

Sparkling, vibrant, joyful, perfect for sunny days. Made in the spirit of a cologne, it surprisingly has a very long lasting effect. Love the beautiful evolution and the intriguing green richness that forces me to smell it constantly. Another amazing creation by Isabelle..

this is a punch of raw rhubarb to the face, very green, organic, fresh, with a citrus package that comes behind and takes over the rhubarb, really nice freshie. over time the citruses get softer, sweeter and start blending in with the rhubarb, swapping back to a more green tone the citruses do slightly remind me of cleaning products, but the other notes dance around them and pull the fragrance away from that, it's mostly when I get a sniff that's mostly just the citruses that I get that vibe, and it does go away after a while on the dry down as the citruses start to fade, leaving just that rhubarb, greens and woody vetiver what's actually kind of shocking is how ultra realistic the rhubarb is, it reminds me of my grandma cutting up rhubarbs and preparing them for a rhubarb pie, it has that fresh, snappy, crunchy quality to it

This a really unique green citrus scent that opens with a strong rhubarb note and some powerful silage. The first half hour reminds me of sour candy with the sweetness dialed down - producing a green, aromatic citrus that's almost mouthwatering. Unfortunately this is pretty short lived, and by hour 3 it retreats to a light vetiver skin scent. By hour 4 it's gone completely. Need to see how this performs in summer before I make any more judgement.

I love milky dragon, so I was pleasantly surprised to receive a sample of this as an add on to a package. I didn’t look at the notes in advance, but boy did I gag when I smelled this! I clocked the rhubarb immediately. It’s very green and stemmy, super tart from the rhubarb, but it smells like rotten tomatoes to me for the most part. Like a tomato plant sitting out in the hot in a rhubarb patch. You can smell the dirt and all. Maybe to some that’s nice but for me it was weirdly unpleasant, and I usually like very realistic smells!

I can confidently say I'm now a huge fan of Isabelle Larignon. After previously sampling and loving Milky Dragon, I'm now similarly enamored with Mandi Rhubi. It channels familiar and fresh citric cologne scent profiles but twists the DNA very tastefully. The early trifecta of lemon, mandarin, and lime is so pleasant and effervescent. What follows is a more sour (not unpleasantly so) rhubarb which, paired with blackcurrant, forms a jammy sweetness. The supporting green and woodsy notes don't add too much depth at all. This is an airy fragrance for sure. Compare to: Delulu by Oddity, flu_oral by nomenclature.
