Prends-Moi (Take Me)

Prendi-moi starts off w/ the smell of raspberry lip-gloss. I am seeing a woman in my mind's eye that has very glossy red lips. As the fragrance develops it becomes brighter, I sense aldehydes, tart bergamot and a soft pink pepper. Rose shines, it is a red rose, first a bud, then a full flower. Dusting chocolate and especially my favorite spice of all in perfume cardamom blankets the rose and she becomes almost edible. Tuberose mingles w/ the red rose and spices, and they do a swirling dance, round and round in circles and create a dizzying effect. I'm sure the perfumer here wanted to create the feeling of loves first blush and has succeeded quite nicely. The woman's cosmetics effect in Prendi-moi is done quite brilliantly, this perfume does smell like lipstick but there is more to it than that. It smells of the heat coming off of a woman. The smell of her dusting powder, her lipstick fills the air. This perfume captures the smell of a woman falling in love. Dizzy, cautious, blushing, daring, to dare. Gently pulsing, flushing warmth like the flow of blood to the heart. Very Beautiful. Oh, and also full bottle worthy. My favorite of the line. Edit: Prends-moi is not an overtly sexual perfume. It is much more ladylike but w/ a budding sensuality underneath. This is just such a pretty and ladylike perfume.

Oooohh, I love it. LOVE IT!! Prends-Moi pushes all the right olfactory buttons for me as a fragrance I might wear every single day. Every evening? Definitely not. To begin with, Take Me is not provocative despite what the suggestive back against the wall name might lead you to believe. There's no challenge or dare-to-wear vibe. It may present as an invitation, but the invite isn't carnal, it's a cuddle on a big comfy couch. Prends-Moi is subtle, and rather comforting to me. It is also, quite lovely. The opening is raspberry with a little spice thrown in. Don't worry, it's not too much. It's pepper and a tiny bit of unlisted cinnamon. Bergamot usually grabs my attention as a top note, but not in the opening here. The middle is laced with lipstick without trying too hard. It's not the lipstick of Frederic Malle or of Chanel's Misia. Violet is replaced here making the lipstick wonderfully soft and creamy from the tuberose and a gentle red rose. The base is surprisingly and persistently warm with far more amber than cacao to my nose, and to my liking. Noteworthy Notes lipstick-- a matte (not satiny in feel) floral--a soft creamy tuberose and an equally soft rose warm and comfortable not even remotely wanton...an absolute keeper nonetheless <3

This is a poofy, magenta, satin-wrapped, heart-shaped box of chocolates in an old Hollywood movie. The chocolates are all filled with different fruit-flavored cremes and cordials, and maybe a couple are half-bitten, with waxy lipstick left around the bite. Prends-Moi is the olfactory equivalent of mid-century orchestral easy listening vinyls. I recall the cover art of Mantovani's Continental Encores, with a luxurious housewife reaching her arm to the wealthy husband who comes through the door of their red-and-pink velvet filled home. Surely she wore this to tempt him back from his work! Perhaps she has novelty fruity desserts waiting in the kitchen. My one complaint would be that the sillage settles, after a couple hours, into a slightly sour and powdery "tropical" note that strongly reminds me of those gel air fresheners that twist open, but it retains the original impression on the skin. This is unavoidable enough for me to never FS it. The magenta satin impression is gradually taken over by coral organza.

I’m normally a white floral girl, or if there’s something interesting to note or unique I’ll try it. On paper, this perfume is a no-no. Too many spices, and never had lipstick perfume before. I got a sample of each isabey as I love gardenia and fleur nocturne. I fell in love with this and bought a barely used unloved blind buy off eBay. It’s now one of my daily go to fragrances and will be replaced when I use it all. It’s overtaken mfk a La rose. For me it’s ever so slightly fruity but barely, the spices temper the fruit but are blended so well as to not be spicy, and the lipstick is main feature..roses are mostly present too but not sickly like Stella. I agree, this is not sensual or sultry. It’s elegant fresh and energetic but so feminine. Sometime I blend it with Sana jardin REvolution de fleur to soften and add floral. I think this is one of my top 5 perfumes of all time. I love it.

Love at first sniff. First off, if you love Givenchy Amarige, you will love this I reckon. It is like it's little sister, sweet, fruity, very girly and classic. This will serve you on a date, at the office and on a night out. So inoffensive, a crowd pleaser. I sniff my wrist constantly when I wear it, it smells so good. I had gotten a sample in my Pafory subscription, bought a bottle straight away.

It smells very luxurious cosmetics, with tuberose, pepper, and amber. I don't know why the rating isn't so great. I guess it's very elegant, classy, and sexy. However, I think people who dislike the scents of cosmetic products could hate this.

This is so good!! I get a fruity, waxy lipstick, that is just slightly powdery. Cherry isn't listed, but I get cherry in this. I also get tonka/vanilla and something slightly boozy. There is a spicy aspect to this, from the cardamom that I find most noticeable in the far drydown. Generally, when I think of "lipstick" scents I think of the make-up powder, iris scents, but that's not what this is. This is much more of a waxy than powdery effect. It's very hard to describe and one you just have to try!

This is the ultimate naughty little sister fragrance. It evokes the scent memory of creeping into my older sisters bedroom as a kid and trying on all of her magical sticky lip glosses and balms. I can smell a faint and waxy cherry raspberry lipgloss and curious powdery aromas as I rummage through all her interesting cosmetics and sparkly things. This isn’t something I’d usually wear, but I’m glad to have a mini sample vial on hand in case I ever want to summon my inner wretchedness.

A barely audible whisper of scent. Smooth iris, velvety-warm sandalwood, raspberry far in the background...overall the notes do combine to create the impression of lipstick. Brand new lipstick in a magnetic case being twirled up from the tube. On my skin, Prends-Moi speaks in pastel purple, not red.

I ordered a 5 ml decant of this 2 years ago, I wan't sure about the hype surrounding it at that time. I'm glad I did. There are some really poetic reviews about it, but all I get is a lotion-y tuberose/rose/floral(?) with waxy undertone that may or may not be the lipstick note. Under it all is a creamy vanilla-ish sandalwood that sounds better than it is. I don't get any of those gorgeous top notes, no spice at all, no cacao. Maybe the cacao is the lotion-y vanillic sandalwood? Not even raspberry, which usually takes over my nose to the exclusion of all other notes. I do get something sharp in the mid, which may be the pink pepper, but I wouldn't swear to it. I'd suggest you test a few times before buying and definitely on skin, because this one settled into a ho hum for me. We need different reviewed experiences but those reviews mean nothing until you try it. Because your nose may violently disagree with mine.

Very baby powdery on first spray, and an image of diapers and changing tables, or nursing homes, springs into my mind. But this is uneasily paired with a citrusy element, which amplifies the sense of being in the halls of a nursing home, a clashing of industrial cleanser and vintage toiletries. Thankfully this off-putting combo evaporates quickly, and the fragrance settles into a faithful rendition of a matte lipstick in the tube with a deeper, richer, powder accord, more cocoa powder than baby-powder. As it dries down, a dry sweetness arises, slightly dusty and spicy. I don't ever really get the sour or fruity drydown that others have described; really the only fruitiness I get is the citrus in very first opening while it's still wet on the skin. All in all it's ok. Somehow the elements don't really cohere for my nose.

I don't like it at all. It's the first fragrance featuring tuberose that I've tried that pulls really indolic and borderline urinal. Maybe this is a combination of the tuberose and cardamom, which can sometimes turn BO-ish. Regardless, I don't get *any* lipstick from this. Maybe my bottle has gone bad...? Very very very unfortunate blind buy for me.

Oh, no. I was totally expecting to like this scent based off of the notes! But this is probably one of the most unappealing fragrances I've sampled in a while. It literally starts off smelling like...COUGH SYRUP! The really nasty fruity-flavoured ones grandma used to force you to drink. Oh, and it stays smelling like that! I thought I would like this because it has a lot of notes I gravitate towards. I ended up liking Fleur Nocturne instead, whoddathunk. Try before you buy. I have no idea why this perfume smells like Nyquil, but it does.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer: it’s a very safe scentand nothing sexy about it. I expected a waxy lipstick with carnal tuberose, something where FM’s Lipstick Rose+ Carnal Flower would make love (on a bridge, if that’s what in description to the fragrance suggested). Instead, after an initial expectation of “deep red” scent matching the gorgeous bottle colour I got a vague red pepper notes with probably some flower green tea infusion, with a light shadow of powder, and all of that lingering towards flowery generic within 5-10 minutes. I did not feel cacao at all, but maybe it’s just me. I generally love Isabey fragrances and in love with 2 of them, and I praise the brand for the depth and sensuality of those. However , sadly for me PM is just another nice office scent, safe like Chanel Mademoiselle eau Tendre , which I could have purchased for a third of PM’s price. Shame I dashed into buying a FB. So I called Isabey in Paris to return the bottle, after sampling the 2 ml decant, stating the reasons why it was not what I had expected from the brand. The marketing assistant was quite unaware how to deal with the unopened returns (and I would understand why, as all their previous releases were quite special). IMHO this particular one could be compared to Bulgari with its collection (Mon Jasmine, or Tuberose) office-appropriate and inoffensive ,pleasant , but for me it’s not a niche house worthy.

It might be my nose today, but this is extremely light on my skin. It’s a very pretty, light, fruity, fresh, floral and that’s about it. I don’t get lipstick or cacao or anything much. Maybe I’ve tried too many things and gone nose blind but I can smell the other fragrance’s on my skin easily. So, do with that what you will. Now that I’ve spilled a rather large amount of my sample on myself I get a tiny pinch of lipstick purred into the air. Still zero cacao. This fragrance is so darn pretty and fresh like the flawless cheek of a beautiful young woman but it’s toooooo soft. Speak up Isabey! You’re far too pretty to be this shy. You cost too much. I don’t get a come hither vibe from this. It’s more of a youthful, spring-like, innocence of youth. Perfect and unblemished, blush of a chaste and perfect face. She flits through the air unburdened by a guilty conscience with gossamer, delicate, fragile petals of a perfect pink rose and raspberry juice.

Well, I was expecting more of a powdery lipsticky scent a la Lipstick Rose but this fragrance is dominated by fruity tuberose from start to finish. At the base it is softened by iris and violet (the lipstick accord I guess) but tuberose is the main player here. It starts slightly peppery and fruity almost shampoo like (I mean that in the best way possible-not bubblegummy or old fashioned but clean and feminine) the base is all mellow and dreamy, powdery and creamy rather than waxy. Rose and cacao are a mere whisper because you never really lose the white floral seductrice out of sight. I'm a tuberose freak so I naturally liked it a lot. I should also mention that I'm wearing it on my skin and have not tried it on blotter (perhaps it would read differently on paper).

This is an odd one. I don't know what to.make of it yet. It does smell like it would head into a creamy lipstick direction, but it never really does. I also sense something a bit dirty, akin the slight animalic facet of honey, and then comes some other odd note in all this confusion like cacao. To be honest, if I didn't look up the notes, I wouldn't have guessed it is cacao but now I definitely feel a hint of it. There is also a slight soapiness involved, barely detectable. I can't make my mind up to whether this is an interesting combination or just a big mess. I guess time will tell, I will either end up loving it or shrugging in confusion.

I have a sample. I can’t feel any raspberry (very happy about that), it’s creamy-tuberose-slightly peppery. Some cocoa in the background. I am not a tuberose fan but I like it sometimes in another type of perfumes, more white floral, for me it needs something cold to balance it. Here the combo with pepper makes it “sweet” somehow, and too “extra” for me, it’s not quite my cup of tea. It’s elegant and sensual, I can picture a woman like Gabrielle Solis (Desperate Housewives) wearing it.

Prends-moi doesn’t smell like lipstick to me, more like old fashioned deodorant. It has a nostalgic quality in that sense, I agree that it’s a bit like Secret deodorant, and once the opening notes dissipate it starts smelling like 90s hair spray, maybe Elnett. There’s a slightly dissonant greenness here, I’m not sure whether it’s the bergamot, which steers it away from the realm of makeup scents. An interesting one, but certainly not something I’d like to wear.

this smelled much different than i expected on me this is a fruity floral vanilla with orange, lots of juicy pear, & a trace of coconut no cosmetic note or lipstick for me all of the isabey samples i purchased have excellent longevity & either medium or strong projection
