A Drop d'Issey

Almond milk and damask rose make a most beautiful opening note, creamy and floral. The rose is very delicate (so unlike the damask variety I am used to), and almond is neither bitter nor screechy, but flows beautifully, carrying rose petals on its gentle waves. Solar notes are fresh and playful, and give an immediate sensation of joy and contentment. The classic song "And I'm Feeling Good" would be most appropriate here. Lilac starts blooming under the sun, mauve and luscious, very well replicated, with its bitterness, taken away by the orange blossom and star anise. This is why I cannot call this lilac a photorealistic one, but still a very beautiful execution on the impressionist side. Jasmine is imperceptible to me; could be because I am better tuned for the compositions where it leads rather than plays a supportive role. The top and the heart blend beautifully together, shimmering as a gauze or chiffon-like fabric in mauve-pink with the golden sheen. It is light, exquisite and a very feminine creation. Projection is close to skin, almost intimate but with good depth and intensity. You will not have the fragrance trailing behind you or wrapping itself around the others, and this makes "A Drop d'Issey" a very versatile fragrance, perfectly wearable during all seasons, environments and occasions. What is more, it is not the type that is "age appropriate". The scent is both uplifting and comforting and will suit anyone who wants some of that. Drydown is mostly vanilla wresting over the downy musk with cedar adding just a touch of woody spice in the most subtle of ways. "A Drop d'Issey" could easily be an olfactory expression of a Pre-Raphaelite movement, like an 1880 "Wreath of Roses" by Marie Spartali Stillman or the 1908 "Soul of the Rose" also known as "My Sweet Rose" by John William Waterhouse.

this was a total blind buy for me as it was heavily reduced because of it discontinuing :( this entire scent profile isnt at all what i usually gravitate towards, hell even the packaging and bottle didnt overly appeal to me. id seen a few perfume tiktoks talking about it in a very poetic way and it garnered my attention from there. first impressions were mixed, i adored the smell. the soft lilac nuances, mixed with the creamy lactones was gorgeous - but i wasnt overly sure it matched my vibe in any way. i dont usually like almond notes in perfumes, but from what i understand is that lilacs have a slightly almond-like profile to them so this fragrance doesnt come off as too almond forward, thanks to the floral facets dancing around playfully throughout. but the smell intrigued me so much i had to continue playing with her.. next day i showered, moisturised and made sure i had skin clean of any other fragrance, and boom. i am in love. shes calming yet energising, nostalgic and yet new and playful. she smells like sunshine peeping through sheer curtains on a warm springs day, the window open allowing in the scent of fresh florals and sunny air. shes simple, yet strangely complex all at once. intriguing, yet not mysterious. i fear i may have to buy a few backup bottles to pray i never run out of this beauty. i cant believe shes being discontinued :( a real gem.

This. This is what they mean when they say “a perfume that smells like Nivea lotion” or “a perfume that smells like you’ve just taken a shower” or “a perfume that simply smells clean”. I have quite a few in that category (Noa, Pure Poison, True Love) and I love each of them, but this one is the epitome of stepping out of a steamy shower and slathering lotion on your body. This is calm and comforting but oh so elegant all at the same time. This is what your aunt’s guest bedroom smells like - yes, that rich aunt of yours who always wears white and is dressed like she’s ready to step out of the house anytime, the one who has fluffy towels and miniature lotions in her guest bathroom. You take an indulgent shower, using those fancy bath products you’d never have bought for yourself, and then when you lie down on those crisp white sheets, and look outside the window through sheer white gauzy curtains, you smile because life’s beautiful. You smell good, and you feel sorted. I know some people have an issue with the bottle and the atomiser but I actually love how this looks like a drop of water because it represents the scent itself so well! This is pristine and pretty. This is what I’d reach for on days when I actually don’t want to wear perfume. My fourth Issey Miyake, and a favourite after L’eau D’Issey Rose & Rose.

I love everything about this lilac-almond concoction except for the bottle, which is awkward and unlovely, especially its alarmingly skinlike rubber atomizer-sprayer up top. But who cares about the lousy mechanics when the scent is this good? I should have discovered A Drop d'Issey years ago because it's right up my alley. Since childhood I have been an inveterate shameless lilac huffer and think nothing of burying my face in the blossoms and inhaling until I'm about to pass out. A Drop d'Issey is very lilac forward, even though it's not quite as photorealistic as the tragically discontinued French Lilac EDP by Pacifica (the body/hair mist remains available for now, at least). I'd say A Drop simulates the lilac note not as a soliflore but as part of a bouquet, along the same lines as the lilac in the original Estee Lauder Pleasures, only less crowded. The almond note imparts a bit of that expensive-body-lotion vibe, and no complaints there. Update: It surprises me that Pleasures doesn't appear on the list of similar perfumes. I suppose it's the dominant lilac note, but I find these frags extremely similar, especially on skin. I'd say A Drop d'Issey is creamier and has more lilac, but chances are that you'll like one if you like the other.

I wanted a unique perfume which does not smell like any roses or citruses or woody or spicy. An everyday wear. This fits the bill to a T. A true lilac scent. Upon initial spray on my wrist, I can smell lilac and almond notes and bit of the anise. Initial projection lasts on my skin for around half hour. Then comes the magical dry down which is amazing with lot of soapy notes coming in. That's kind of addictive and makes it a clean girl scent - powdery and creamy. Further dries down to musk and vanilla. Love that as well. However, does not project. I have to sniff my arm to be able to smell the perfume. Becomes a skin scent pretty soon. Got it at a huge discount so value for money. Lasts for 2-3 hours post which you need to respray. Spraying on clothes makes the scent last much longer...however the dry down is way toned down on clothes in my opinion. It's quite lilac forward on clothes. It's not screechy and attention grabbing. I love it as an everyday perfume.

it smells like a comforting hug in a beautiful meadow of flowers on a summer evening... i unfortunately don’t really smell the almond milk or any creaminess all i smell is beautiful florals specially the lilac. this is my first floral perfume that i bought myself and i blind bought it and it didn’t disappoint at all, i usually go for gourmand vanilla scents but this really is so pretty, light and fresh and perfect for spring and summer ♡ the longevity is also amazing for the price, 2 sprays in the morning and i can still smell it in the evening and the smell only gets better. i also ordered a sample of fraiche which was the one from this collection that i originally wanted because i am absolutely in love with aquatic and rain scents but lots of the reviews were saying they much prefer the original so i thought i’d try the original first. in conclusion i love this perfume so much, such a comforting summery scent and if ur a fan of florals u will love this ♡♡

I’m a sucker for Lilac, So of course this is a love for me. Such an alluring clean, Fresh and creamy scent. The Lilac here, Paired with Almond Milk, Solar notes, Star Anise etc. is genuinely unique, It really stands on its own. Great performance on my skin. The bottle is very well made, I wish it came with a display stand though. I’ve seen it may be getting discontinued? That doesn’t make much sense, It seems popular, And has only been out for a few years. The best stuff always gets the axe, It seems. Also, I agree with the review below, This smells nothing like Fancy, They aren’t even in the same league, And I own both. The closest to A Drop, Is Trussardi My Scent, Another beautiful Lilac dominant fragrance. Not dupes but similar in ways. I’ll probably add the Fraiche flanker from this line to my collection soon, It sounds lovely. To all who love or are curious about it, Grab this while it’s still available!

Absolutely stunning lilac fragrance. There is something so deeply comforting and nostalgic about this perfume. Soft and clean floral, this has quickly become my daily driver. I feel like it’s appropriate for so many different occasions and perfect for someone looking for a daily wear perfume. A Drop d’Issey upon first spray is creamy and floral, the unusual pairing of almond milk and lilac envelope the senses like a warm and clean linens dried in the sun. The lactonic almond does dissipate after a few minutes and almost turns into a cotton-ey, musky floral. I never stop smelling the lilac. The ambroxan and cedar base lend it a very subtle and spicy scent, barely perceptible in the silage but very, very close to the skin. Highly recommend! I found it at a very affordable price and this is a must have for any clean, floral fragrance lover.

So pretty! This is a soft, powdery lilac that is very true to the scent of the flower. It is clean without being soapy. It is light and airy and uplifting. While some lilac fragrances evoke a dewy watery lilac, this one calls forth the drier, warmer aspect of the flower. The feeling I have is of standing next to a blooming lilac bush on sunny, slightly breezy day - the blossoms are very slightly past their peak, but still robust - and you are not putting your face right into the flowers, but letting the gentle breeze waft their scent to you as the air dances around your face. I do detect the almond note separately, but mainly if I put my nose right to my skin. It's not a primary influence overall, and I feel that the true function of the almond is to support the lilac-blossom realism and add some 3-dimensionality to it.

This is my dad's go-to fragrance brand. I trusted the quality enough for a Blind buy. This is a strong almond musk at first spray. Well, I smell the almond throughout & its not my favorite... it reminds me of oatmeal breakfasts from when I was poor lmao but soon the creamy notes come in & its a delicious experience, pastry-like. Feels like you took a long, hot shower in the spotless bath at your aunt's large apartment & used her expensive cream that one time she let you sleep over because as usual, you were late for your train. She wore a cream silk nightgown and shooed you away when her lover dropped by. You eavesdropped, fascinated, confused as to how one could laugh so loud but whisper softly.. you understand now though.. discreet sillage.. this is for the ones you love most. 8 hours on skin & 24h on clothes

Clean girl 🤍 Soft powdery almond with delicate lilac. Such a unique yet easy scent to wear, I enjoy this after a shower, on a hot day and for work because it's inoffensive. People may think they're smelling your body care products or laundry detergent. I've had compliments from three ladies on this, two from colleagues and one from a stranger in a supermarket who all said they like how clean and fresh I smell. I sprayed it on my top before going to work and I could still smell it on that top 2 days later so it definitely lasts on textiles. I'm on my second bottle of this and I've ordered a back up because I believe it's been discontinued unfortunately. This is what I wanted Byredo Blanche to be. In fact if Byredo bottled up this juice and slapped their name on it I'm sure it would be a bestseller

This is a true lilac indeed. Very lilac dominant but complex and nuanced. I must disagree with the white floral - it comes off way more as a yellow floral to me. Very solar, warm and comforting! Smells like 30 degree summer afternoon with a nice breeze. The almond milk notes start to show with the dry down, but it opens very strikingly floral and give off the vibe of a body lotion or body wash. It's clean smelling but not in an aquatic fresh sense. It feels like taking a nice shower after a day out at the beach in the summer, and you're all clean and moisturized but still a bit hot. The dry down is very interesting: it has a lingering spicy scent that stays in your nose after you breath out. I'm personally not a huge fan of ambroxan usually but the milkiness and spicy notes work very well.

Sadly, I don't get any lilac, or at least nothing resembling any lilac flowers I've ever encountered. It's very different from other Issey Miyakes - I think the only one I've smelt without the IM signature aquatic note. The creamy almond and solar notes are moreish, and it's well blended outside of the Star Anise - this note put me off at first as I've never been a fan, but this fluffy puppy has really seduced me over time. The more I wear it the more I like it. I love wearing it to bed and on a cooler day to the office. It's comforting and approachable but unique at the same time, it feels.... fluffy and soft, like a sophisticated cloud. It's got some edible notes but isn't particularly sweet doesn't read as gourmand. Sad it's discontinued as we are becoming fast friends!

I got this perfume as a gift a few years back for my mom because she has always loved lilacs; she would always go out and pick some fresh wild lilacs as soon as they started to bloom. It's so hard to find not only lilac-scented goods (perfume, candles, etc.), but lilac done WELL. I was so ecstatic when I found this. Now that I'm hearing it's being tragically discontinued, I decided to pick up a bottle for myself on clearance. While almond milk is definitely there, to me it is just in the background to give it a lactonic, creamy depth, but the lilac is most certainly the star of the show. I'm not generally a floral perfume lover (I tend to love vanillas, spices, aromatics, etc.) but this is done so beautifully and is balanced. BRING HER BACK!

Do not blind buy. This is Lilac done right, "FINALLY"- we all say in unison. I was scouring the market for Lilac perfume for ages and this one is just IT. On the first spritz it smells exactly like Lilac, I would even say better than Lilac, because the flower in nature is kinda flat, lets be real, fresh Lilac is nice but flat. But here, the Lilac is supported with other white florals and it gains legs, it grows. It is so thought out, I feel like this is someones love child, like someone REALLY worked on this and knew, for whom this is. And thats what I want, I want to feel like I am buying someones art and this IS art. Its heavenly chic. Purple silk, pearls, clean skin, long hair, wicker basket for picnic, cycling throught countryside.

Do NOT buy this fragrance. Please. Save it ALL for me! This is simply gorgeous. There is nothing harsh about this. There it does not smell like licorice, in fact I had to really try hard to detect the star anise. It also smells nothing like dove soap. What it does smell like is lilacs and Almond milk. It is divine! It's balmy......solar and creamy. It smells to me of summer. I grew up in Atlantic Canada where Lilacs bloomed early in summer. This fragrance is so incredibly comforting and creamy. It's sillage is definitely an arms length and leaves a wonderful trail. It's not a complex scent.....so for those who like a fragrance that develops, this is fairly linear, but it doesn't NEED to be complex because it is just so beautiful.

I randomly tested this in Sephora some months ago, and damn did it bring memories back. I was transported back to my childhood backyard, with the sun shining through the leaves, the wind carrying the smell of lilacs to my nostrils. Didn't think a fragrance could catch the exact smell of this flower in such a photorealistic way. I planned on buying it next spring, but the announcement of it being discontinued brought the fear of missing out out of me. So I bought it at a more than reasonable price from a not so known retail shop, and I don't regret it a single bit. I can't smell any of the notes listed, my nose gets only the lilac, but I don't find it to be a problem. It's sooo long lasting and projecting really well.

For spring I wanted a lilac perfume as I think this flower to be the quintessential spring flower. I love en passant by Frederic Malle, a dewy rained on lilac, foto realistic and green (especially in the dry down). Drop d’issey is similar. It’s not green per se, and not as watery as en passant. It’s more creamy in the opening. The dry down is more soapy and body lotion like. It reminds me of gardenia by Chanel and I was surprised of the lack of a gardenia note. Overall a very safe and likable scent. Perfect for spring! And a very affordable alternative to en passant by Frederic Malle, an amazing lilac perfume retailing at about 250 euros. It definitely deserves more love! A hidden gem perfect for spring!

Lilac almond and star anise in the best way possible I really love those almond lilac violet iris purple flowers anise musky purple floral like fragrance ( such as Chloé Love ) And this thing in the air caught me hypnotized im shocked In the paper it smells like a jasminy warm lilac with a fresh spicy star anise makes it really uplifting and unique And the almond in the opening is making magic A powdery really baby powder like and cold refreshing floral fragrance with undertone of fresh anise that makes me say woowww everytime i take a sniff its just like getting hugged by the most warmhearted person in the world also i get somthing like a dry coconut similar to the coconut used in crystal noir versace

Very floral and surprisingly strong — one spray is enough for me. It smells like sunshine and blooming flowers, with a beautiful, rounded base. I get a slightly aquatic feeling, but it's subtle and never takes over. It evokes a sunny afternoon by a lake surrounded by blooming lilacs and lily-of-the-valley. Also, despite what many people say, I don't find the almond milk and creamy notes to be particularly dominant. They're definitely there, but more as a soft, comforting backdrop that supports the lilac, orange blossom, and the other floral notes rather than defining the fragrance. Really sad they are discontinuing it now that I found my spring and summer signature scent, I'm gonna buy another bottle.

this fragrance invokes the image of a darling angel resting upon a creamy lilac cloud. to my nose it has an interesting juxtaposition with the warmth from the solar notes plus the perceived coolness of the lilac. it's so comforting and spa-like, bringing me back to the times i've gotten massages while on vacation and left still smelling the essential oils they always use. it gives me the same feeling of stepping out of the shower and putting on an expensive lotion. i've never owned a perfume like this and something tells me i'll buy another one the moment i find it at burlington. it's truly an enchanting scent that soothes anyone that gets near you. such a shame it's being discontinued (◞‸◟,)

very confused as to why this has been discontinued and removed from websites when it’s possibly this brands most beautiful and successful fragrance. a drop d’issey is not only lilac-hearted and solar/warm but lays itself on a creamy and milky musk base, it’s exactly what it says in the original description and more. as someone who usually hates basic clean fragrances, this is elevated to the point that it’s complex but so utterly simple at the same time. i keep catching wafts of my own perfume and it’s just lovely! wearing a drop d’issey feels like being sat on the porch by a lilac bush on a warm spring afternoon with a cup of warm sweet almond milk and a rosewater pudding in your hand

How perfumes connect with our memory and knowledge of the world around us. That said, this perfume smells like the city of Buenos Aires in summer, when the Trees of Paradise are in bloom. I can't separate it from that. I love lilac and violet flowers in perfumes. Coincidentally, the flowers of this tree are small, fleshy, white and lilac in color. To me, this perfume smells like that, but especially like my city when it starts to get warm, when there are concerts, when it's not yet stiflingly hot. A beautiful fragrance, long-lasting, happy, fresh, slightly sweet from the flowers, creamy, and one that connects with the sun and the outdoors, because this tree also smells great at night.

This is such a beautiful, lovely and jouyful scent of authentic lilac. Hm, this creaminess ... I can smell a tiny little bit almond and anise in it, but whole is about nice lilac in variety colours :-) This is a spring in a bottle. Unfortunately, I find this parfume this year and now it is discontinued. I found a scent very close to Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste (I smell a lilac, but is not in it) but much more projection and sillage. This is like classic lilac soap, but smells divine :-) I understand it can be to much for person who do not like soapy scents, but in less amount it is very nice. My collegue complimented me every day we have meet. I have a half of a bottle for next spring.

This was a pleasant surprise! It’s a creamy white floral scent that leans clean and soft without being too soapy or sharp. It has a very “clean girl” vibe but with a more elegant, mature touch and reminds me of a gentle tuberose note. The floral character feels rounded and smooth, not overly loud, which makes it easy to wear day to day. The sillage and longevity are moderate, not a powerhouse, but consistent enough to leave a soft trace. It’s one of those perfumes that feels quietly confident: polished, fresh, and softly feminine. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a floral that feels wearable and a little bit grown-up without being overpowering.

Ohhhh wowwwww! Yesssssss! This, my friends, is the ONE for me! Was searching endlessly for a comforting, calming, ethereal, daily or bedtime wear, creamy, slightly powdery, goes well with Nivea cream/lotion, a clean type scent, but with an extra oomph to give it more character, unique, dreamy... and I’ve finally found her! And, lo and behold, to my utter shock and dismay, she has been discontinued. I cry from the depths of my soul over such a profound loss in the perfume world. In the meantime, I’m going to order a couple back-ups, and pray they bring her back. Or maybe it really is the end of the world.

I've reviewed this gorgeous perfume already, but I don't think my initial review reflects the deep, almost spiritual love I've developed for it. I know, I sound overwrought - but this scent is revelatory. Admittedly, on first use, I thought the lilac in this was a little much BUT on skin, it settles into the smoothest, most delicate violet and almond cream scent. It is warm, clean (but not "fresh"), nurturing, and maternal. I don't love this on clothes alone. It absolutely needs body heat and natural skin oils to bloom. This is my daily driver and lately when I wear something else, I miss this.

What a delightful fragrance! It’s simple, but truly special. It opens with a clean, sunny brightness , like warm daylight on your skin. Then it wraps you in soft vanilla, jasmine, ambroxan, and a gentle musk, creating a scent that’s cozy, uplifting, and easy to love. There’s something nostalgic about it it feels like comfort. I found it thanks to a recommendation in a forum here (thank you, whoever you are!) In its category a fresh, everyday fragrance with a modest price tag it’s an absolute winner! The bottle is lovely too ,round, minimalist and with a smooth, reliable spray. 1000/10

This is my favourite perfume ever I’m addicted. I love the unique and fun bottle shape, and I used to throw it in my bag with me everywhere. Only downside to that is that the squishy nozzle part doesn't stay clean bc of the rubber + purse dirt. I wish it lasted longer but maybe I become nose blind because I love it so much? I will literally spray this on before bed after a nice shower (and layer with the lotion) to fall asleep in the scent. Always get compliments, so clean and perfect. They stopped selling this irl if they discontinue it I will go mad.

Rain! Petrichor! Ethereal! This perfume is one of the most emotionally complex I have ever laid my nose upon. The petrichor note for me is upfront and I am surprised this is not talked about as much! Imagery: ~A walk through a garden in the rain, your eyes are wet and everything looks blurry ~Wearing a white dress and floating down a river ~Dandelion seeds floating through the air It smells like what Arwen or Galadriel from Lord of the Rings may smell like. So unique, so fresh yet intense and an entirely one of a kind experience for me. Beautiful!

the duality of this fragrance is my favorite thing. sometimes it makes me feel like a dewdrop fairy or the princess of honeysuckle, other times it makes me feel very executive and aloof. it’s sweet and inviting at its core (the comparison to nivea lotion is definitely astute), but on the surface its sweetness is tinged with something green and slightly bitter. like a rainy bed of lilacs. this smells like a corporate secretary waking up from a dream about being a unicorn and promptly shrugging it off, trading a silk slip for a crisp pencil skirt.

WOW is this a stunning fragrance! If you are a lilac lover, you need this! This is springtime in a bottle. The almond milk adds a coziness to the florals and this is the first light, fresh fragrance I've ever had that LASTS and projects! I get full day wear of this on clothing and I brought it to my mom's for her to try and she sprayed it once across the room from me and I could smell it beautifully without it being offensive or too strong. I adore this scent and cannot wait to get more from this house.

Wore it throughout this year’s spring and summer. I loved it! It smells nice and warm, a little bit like sun on skin. The lilac is very light, so it doesn’t come across as a full-on floral scent at first. The vanilla was almost non-existent for me, but that’s not meant as a complaint. It could have better longevity: My boyfriend hates it, he says it smells like an old man’s locker room. So I only wore it when he wasn’t around. He couldn’t smell it on me or my clothes after a few hours.

This smells like a clean, musky, lilac infused almond milkshake. Pretty, slightly powdery, and milky - and really comforting. I'm enjoying this fragrance and will be using it a lot this spring. I think I might add it to my May perfume tray. I always associate lilacs with the month of May - because my grandmother had lilac bushes in her garden when I was young, and they always bloomed in May. This fragrance feels both nostalgic and very modern at the same time. I think I love this. :)

Such a masterpiece and super affordable! It's rare for a clean perfume to "wow" me like this. This has some addictive creaminess to it and when I see the notes, I think they make sense... It's almond-y and I can feel lilac, jasmine and anise come through. The dry down is also creamy and divine. Doesn't smell like a cleaning product, smells like clean SKIN. For me, this is the best you can get at the price. I am really surprised because L'Eau d'Issey didn't impress me at all.

Beautiful and delicate creamy lilac scent. As others already said, it definitely smells "body lotion-y" and soapy, a creamy soap that lathers so lushly. The lilac flower is a chunky one, almost inviting you to bite it, exuding its delicate fragrance under a warm sun. I really wanted to add it to my collection but it has a "mature" ring to it that I don't feel that much identified with as a 28 y/o. I do love it though. Ugh. It reminds me of Lilac path by Aerin.

A Drop d'Issey is perfection. Lilacs dripping in almond milk, it smells like a fancy lotion. There's a touch of anise in the mix, too. It's got a sunny feel, and an overall vibe that you're smelling your lilac flowers straight after a spring shower when the sun is peeking out, birds are chirping, and the day is young. Perfect for spring, but the fraiche version is better suited for warm summer. Fun bottle, too, just a pain to store as it doesn't stand upright.

It’s a creamy, milky, floral scent that somehow manages to also be fresh. For reasons unknown, it also reminds me of my favourite shower cream which is Palmolive’s Olive and Milk. It’s an elevated, clean scent, maybe somewhat motherly (maybe it’s just me as my mom loved wearing scents like this), and like some other reviewer said, it smells like what a hug would smell like. I think I will be repurchasing this for as long as I can get my hands on it!

Wearing this one today and it’s so lovely. It smells clean and soft but also creamy. It makes you smell like you just put on a beautiful smelling body lotion after stepping out of the shower, or like you put Nivea Crème on and sat out in the sun letting it warm up on your skin. It’s surprisingly strong too especially for a “soft and clean” fragrance. Perfect for when you just want to smell nice without doing too much. Sad it’s been discontinued!

Such a comforting yet elegant scent, opens up very bright and squeaky and then dries down to a creamy, floral scent. It smells so soft and clean - makes me feel like I just took a warm relaxing bath and applied lotion straight after. I could see this used for both day and night honestly, the lilac and solar notes are fresh like a spring day, but the almond milk is so relaxing I could also see myself wearing it in the evening to wind down.

so so so creamy and milky! it smells like getting out of the shower and putting on fancy lotion before getting under clean bedsheets on a summer evening. i think the almond and solar come out the strongest, with light florals on top and a little bit of musk in the background... everything comes together to smell fresh and warm at the same time. another issey miyake fragrance that i immediately love - don't regret blind buying at all!

This is warm, like basking in the sun at the start of spring (the air is still cool, so when the sun hits your skin it's appreciated, never unwanted). Lilac is the star here. Reminds me of a sunny morning walk past a garden with a blooming lilac tree, or lying on a blanket in the sun.. That last image is partially because of the bottle. She's also lying down... so carefree and sweet. I treasure this like I treasure Noa. 🪻🫧

I'm primarily getting the lilac and musk notes, which isn't a bad thing, although this is a little more full-bodied and less light than expected. It invokes an elegant, mature woman in her garden or having tea outdoors on a spring day. I'm in my 40s so feel I can pull this off, but I'm not sure if I would've felt as confident wearing it in my 20s. I do like it and it will be a welcome addition to my spring collection.

Wow! I did not know it was discontinued. What a shame! I found a bottle at Burlington yesterday. I had seen this one mentioned several times online and had read a few reviews on here in the past. I love the opening, there is something slightly animalic in the dry down, but overall a pretty, floral, fresh musk. I could see some seeing it as dated, but to me it’s nostalgic and somewhat unique for a clean musk.

Let me say this: no design perfume house does floral fragrance like Issey Miyake. I owned and tried a few perfume from this house and every time it blew my mind: florally fresh, clean, elegant and 'just-enough'. This fragrance is very well-balanced between floral and sweet. It's not gourmand sweet or fresh floral - it's sweet but clean floral. On days when I want to feel girly and laid-back, I'd wear this.

Blind bought it based on reviews. It was a success despite being afraid of the ambroxan note. It does indeed fall in the same category as Jlo Glow and Noa Cacharel while being totally different. This one is much more perfumey, floral in the opening. Very lilac forward, reminiscent of a lavender note but less masculine. As it settles and dries down it evolves creamier and sweeter. Overall this is a keeper.

i’ve been eyeing this perfume for 2 years and i’m very happy with my blind buy. the initial spray is a soft musk and vanilla. with florals developing over the course of 30 minutes starting with the rose and then into the creamy lilac. i can smell a faint sweet lactonic note developing as well and settling over, blending everything together. love this scent and i will be wearing it daily for spring

Spring in a bottle! Very fresh, really fotorealistic lilac scent. Opens heavy on the flower notes, dries down to a more creamy fragrance. But it is strong! By a name as “drop” you would expect a more dewy scent. It reminds me of the lilac scents my sister used to wear in the ‘80s, from Yves Rocher. But they were light and more watery, this fragrance is not modest or in the background at all

I, for some reason, never even considered this perfume up until 3 or 4 weeks ago when I asked a sales assistant to spray it on my wrist and (inevitably?) fell in love. It is the calmest lilac & almond water/milk smell ever. So soft, but it projects and lasts! A great combo, if you ask me. I saw it originally for $30... but had to settle with $100, which is still really good for this one.
