L'Eau d'Issey Pivoine

Charming, aesthetic perfume. Much more than rich peonies, reflects its spirit also ... At first sniff the scent smells quite fruity, almost juicy. I found the aroma of raspberries very rosy and sweet. At the opening phase it is almost girly scent. The naive, dewy projection turns with the sandalwood: promotes sensuality and elegance. The fragrance become more decent but doesn't lose its freshness. If you like pure beauty of flowers, this could be good choice. Expect neat and sympatic perfume which subtly wins you over.

This is way too good! The longevity is crazy for such a delicate yet noticeable scent – this is eternal on clothes, especially for being an eau de toilette. Watery, flowery, sweet, blush/powder pink yummy concoction that is just perfect for spring and summer. It's so smooth and water-like, yet so heavy on the peony. It's like a satin pinky beige slip dress. Try this out if you want a gorgeous day scent for the hot weather with no musky surprises!

This is a lighter version of L'eau d'Issey with a very delicate fruity tone. Longevity is 6 hours or more, and just when you think it's gone, it somehow reinstates. My go to for spring.

this is so nice! definitely what i think of when i think of a pretty lady running errands in the late spring early summer. As soon as I sprayed this, it reminded me of something, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. At first I thought it was the Justin Bieber perfume, but after reading the notes and seeing what perfumes people said this reminded them of; none of which, was the one that I thought of...it dawned on me— this smells to me like a more aquatic version of Mon Paris by YSL. The original mon Paris just wasn’t doing enough for me. it wasn’t sweet enough the way i needed it to be and something about it just was too scratchy (maybe sourness from the raspberry) and floral. if I had bought the intense version first, then I would’ve never Decluttered. However, this strikes the balance of the freshness and tartness from the raspberry. it’s sweet but not cloying by any means. it’s a gorgeous watery raspberry and pear with a sprinkle of sugar at the end. this is of l’impertracie and mon paris had a baby 🫱🏻🫲🏿

I'm on a fence when it comes to this scent. When I first sprayed it, I didn't like it. The blend of notes was just too overwhelming. But the next day when the scent dried down, it was more digestible. How does it smell? Like a fresh, almost aquatic floral. It has a note that reminds me of a soft rose. It's sweetened by raspberry with sandalwood base. I can see how it can be enjoyed by people who like clean, light floral aesthetic. It'd be good for everyday wear and for the office. It's in the same ballpark as some other Eau d'Issey scents. The bottle with the wooden cap looks interesting. Overall, it's alright, but I wouldn't necessarily run to the store to get it. At the same time, I wouldn't be upset if someone gifted me this scent. I still prefer L'Eau d'Issey Rose & Rose from the recent flankers.

I agree its just a regular fruity floral clean daytime. BUT there is no scrachy migrain triggering white musk in it and the woody base is just an anchor that makes the fruity floral notes last in to the drydown. I am extremly sensitive to the generic base most designers seem to have. Mostly marked with a "cedar", various "woods" nonexistant "sandelwood" plus a white musk. Most of them go dusty, scrachy powdery and pencilshaving like on my skin and often on fabric too. And I HATE IT. And thats why I havent found a clean femenin daytime scent for me yet. So this new flancer is actualy exciting to me a d I might grab a bottle if I ever see it cheap.

This is criminally underrated! Fresh rose is my favorite interpretation of rose, so naturally, I'm drawn to this. Issey did a great job maintaining the crispness/cleanliness of the original scent while adding a fruity hue (raspberry: a note that compliments rose by default) and a beautiful fresh peony note. It's feels clean, almost like aromatherapy. The scent profile is very "overdone" but I must say the blending is really good on this fragrance in comparison to some of its competitors. She is simple (not boring) but charming, also the performance seems to be really good. I like to use this before to bed because it really relaxes me.

I smell two things- pear and peony. Feminine, light, a pink floral, it would be difficult to dislike it as this is crowd pleasing. It just lacks oompf and interest. This reminds me of Cerutti 1881 for her, not because they share similar notes, but because they put forward a similar simplistic but feminine vibe. I like it, might buy it as. WFH fragrance.

I can actually make out the peony, pear, and raspberry, which I can't usually do in Miyake scents. This is nice, sweet, and fresh. Like it but don't love it.

It smells like a cross between Mon Paris and Blooming Bouquet. Very nice effortless super feminine long lasting scent💕

I find this batch of Issey flankers to be the least special of this frag house, and this one the most boring of this line. It's a bit too sweet, and lacks the usual IM complexity. I guess you need to REALLY like peonies to fully appreciate it. I'm looking for something woody I can layer it with to build complexity and cut the sweetness, as I'm not getting any of the sandalwood listed. I guess it would be fine on it's own if you want something really feminine, clean and basic, but it's not for me. Surprised there's no jasmine listed - there's a sharp freshness reminiscent of jasmine.

I thought this would be a light, feminine leaning aquatic peony. Which, it mostly is. However, according to Issey Miyake's site it is contains cedarwood (essence) not sandalwood as Fragrantica's notes show. While it's not horribly strong, it lurks in the background as a husky musky note. Not the vibe I was looking for.

It's like if you combine Rose & Rose, the Original EdT, and the Florale together, you get this one. I don't think it's for me. Too floral and too powdery. Not fruity at all. I can't smell the raspberry here. Try before you buy, but this one is nothing novel.

decent but nothing that really knocks my socks off. the trail of dewy fresh peonies on the outside can probably mask the fact that you’re dead on the inside. pleasant but superficial. yeah. 6/10

At first very weird and a bit poopy vibes, but after about 30 minutes nice floraly scent. If you like rose perfumes, you probably will like it, but I just don’t love rose perfumes.

floral bathtime with some raspberry sherbet on the side. i'm getting bath bomb notes. fizzy. too feminine for me but gorgeous and highly wearable. really nice

I thought I knew what peonies smell like, because they're my favorite flower and I had them at a previous house. So I was quite surprised when I tried this perfume, and it didn't even smell floral to me--I wasn't expecting the fruit notes at all. This is a bright, very sweet fruity perfume. I can't pick out pear or raspberry specifically in this. Instead, it comes across as Sweettarts or American Smarties candies. When it dries down, then it smells floral and quite subdued. Unfortunately, this fragrance feels juvenile and cheap to me, like a teenager's body mist. I like the original L'eau D'Issey a lot but can't find any hint of that fragrance in this one.

I have just received the samples of these 2 new launches, both pivoine and vetiver. I am so surprised, that I would never say these 2 come from this house, that had almost always good perfumes. I don ́t even know how to review them, maybe because I always associated IM with good, refined - fresh, but now I only smell cheap, syntethic, the shop on the corner fragrances. Pivoine - just a slightly floral regular edt and vetiverI could say is just the smell of a men aftershave :( Really dissapointed :|

Peony? Where? All I can smell is rose and it's sharp.. after two hours the dry down is giving a bit of raspberry and that's all... I expected more based on reviews here Edit: it starts with strong rose and later that awful smell fades and dry down is more acceptable but it can cause migraine. Longevity up to 7h which is great for toilette water.

It's sweet, but it quickly develops an artificial quality to it. It would not be out of place in bath and body works.

Sweet raspberry with a hint of floral scent , I'm not a big fan .

Received a sample of this perfume. It's very annoying, very cheap banal smelling rose. Something you'd get for 5 euros at some shady store. Had to wash my wrist a lot of times to get the horrible smell off as I made the mistake to test it on myself :D

I love that this manages to maintain something of the aquatic elements that make the original l'eau d'issey so irresistible to me, but in this it's massively toned down to a fresh and fruity skin scent, much more basic overall, with some added sweetness - provided by the raspberry note. Unlike the "Magnolia" variant, which I have to admit - I simply can't abide and absolutely cannot wear - this one definitely shares the original l'eau d'issey DNA (rather than only a hint of the PURE version, which is all I can get from the Magnolia release in regard to similarities ). This does have a little of the sweet woodiness in the "Rose On Rose" Issey, but I personally find that too strong, over-sweet and woody, lacking brightness and not aquatic, while this one simply smells like a softer, brighter, fresher, sweeter take on the original - with lots of tangy raspberries. This is a skin scent (even after 3-4 sprays) with gentle projection. The raspberry note really works surprisingly well with the crisp peony/rosiness and the freshness of the watery notes. A very nice one to reach for when the original EDT or EDP might be considered too much and you find yourself in the mood for something lighter - with a twist . Fruity, watery & fresh, tart & sweet. A light, chewy, fizzy raspberry pop. Not very lasting (better on fabric), but it's an easy wear. A keeper for me.

As one who’s not a fan of the original L’Eau D’Issey due to certain notes that induce headache and nausea, I was taking a big chance on blind buying this. I’m glad I did because this is way more my vibe. To me, it’s a woody, vintage-inspired, slightly incense-y floral. Almost has the vibes of a candle or soap, but not in a bad way if that makes sense. Evokes memories somehow. I wouldn’t call this scent entire modern, nor particularly youthful, though could be enjoyed by all ages.

This is a nice fresh fragrance with fruity and peony notes. It’s an easy reach for a day at work in nice weather and has a vibe of Armani prive pivoine suzhou however isn’t as intricate or special smelling. Would be an easy blind buy or gift for someone but not the most unique. As a side note I had issues with the cap of my bottle breaking and when I took it in store for a replacement they said it’s been happening loads with this one.

It barely stays within the Issey Miyake world, it doesn’t feel like their scent. One of the less fresh, less aquatic scents, and for me it's definitely too sweet. A strong floral opening, with a milder dry down, but still very floral. It’s missing the clean aura and airy signature the house is known for. I won't reach for this again, totally off-track for what I love about Issey.

borrowed my mom’s bottle today and all afternoon long I kept thinking that I know this scent ... it reminds me a lot of Stairways to Heaven from Jul&Mad. It’s kind of fizzy, like a soda, but with that very creamy finish. On my skin, at least.
