L'Eau D'Issey Pure Petale de Nectar

In my opinion, L'Eau D'Issey Pure Petale de Nectar is the best flanker of the L’EAu d’Issey Pure line. I have or had other versions, but this Petale de Nectar truly smells like a nectar of roses and pear. It’s sweet without being tooth rotting sweet, rosy in a youthful way, warm and soft, fruity, juicy. It’s the most rich, deep and intense flanker of this line. More appropriate for cooler or spring/fall weather, since it’s so powerful and leaning more on the floral gourmand profile. The undeniable stars of the scent are rose and honey. If you like these two notes maxed out in your petfume, it’s practically impossible not to like L'Eau D'Issey Pure Petale de Nectar. Hope it never gets discontinued since it’s so affordable, good performer and kind of unique outside the Pure line. I am not really craving rose lately, but I absolutely adore this. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet rose scent!

People have been recommending the l'eau de Issey range of fragrances to me for a while. I only have a 1ml sample of this one but wow, this has some of my favourite notes, honey, pear, rose, it's almost edible, along with the saltiness from the ambergris. I always think that salt plus rose is reminiscent of peonies, another of my favourites! My understanding of this range is that it has an aquatic DNA and this one retains that with the salty note. It's not long lasting, but ok at 3 hours for an eau de toilette with decent projection initially. I'd definitely like to try more this range.

Disclaimer! The EDT and EDP are totally different. (I am in love with the EDT version, and totally hate the EDP) The EDT is Sweet woodiness, clean and cozy, romantic. I got compliments from male friends, they behaved like hummingbirds and wanted to be around perceiving the perfume. If you love wooden warm notes, this is an absolute that you should have on your list. A very defined and lovely fragrance. Regarding the EDP, all the notes are spoiled, painful to the nose and brain, incredibly disturbing.

I just stumbled across this at Nordstrom rack & decided to purchase based on the notes. I am really pleasantly surprised! Juicy fruity pear & honey with a woody base perfect for casual/day time wear. While there isn't a ton of sillage - I applied this scent before going to bed & definitely still smelled in on my skin & pj's in the morning. I think this would be perfect for a hot summer day. I am not big on sweet/fruity scents but find this to be really pleasant & easy to wear.

The honey, pear, rose combo is really addictive and feminine. It is a sweet fragrance but I prefer this EDT version to the EDP (Pure Nectar) which is denser and a bit too sweet for me. This lasts over 8 hours on my skin with arms length projection. It has a beautiful scent bubble. IMO, this has a smiliar vibe to Lancome Idol. Idol would be the younger, carefree sister and this would be the bolder older sister. I think it's worth giving a try.

I love this smell on a woman, I get a rich flowery but not rosey opening mixed with a pleasant fruit and honey smell. It's fairly lasting but the juiciness is gone pretty quickly. I get white flower notes a bit more than rose to be honest. The dry down has a pleasant soft woody note, but you have to get up close. Versatile enough, good for the office as well as informal occasions. Should work for spring, end of summer and early fall.

Beautiful, effervescent honey. It’s cosy and inviting. Exactly what I imagine Miss Honey from Matilda would wear. So uplifting, the kind of smell that makes me smile. It really comes to life on a warm day, but I still wear it on cold winter days to try to liven my world up. Instantly bought a back up and a bottle for my mother.

The scent is absolutely divine, sweet and indulgent, with beautiful notes of honey and ripe pear. It feels like summer in a bottle; bright, fresh and effortlessly clean. The sillage is quite intimate on my skin, it stays close rather than projecting, and I do find myself reaching for a refresh by the afternoon.

My first real perfume. As a noob, I think it smells fresh, floral, fruity, slightly aquatic, like a water flower, and a little woody. I have the EDT version. I am using it as my work perfume, and its perfect for that. It lasts really really long on clothes. Overall loved it.

Smells like stronger pear and honey combined with rose water, very fresh and beautiful scent. Suitable for warmer weather but might smell a bit too sharp and sour in colder weather. A safe blind buy if you like these notes. Doesn't seem to last very long.

This is my bedtime scent and I absolutely love it. I also wear it to the beach and my friends compliment it all the time. Longevity and sillage are moderate but more than enough for spring and summertime. It's clean, sweet but not overpowering, 8/10.

I love Petale de nectar! Light, peachy, youthful vibe, it's so easy to use everyday and gives you a bright mood. In my opinion the best Miyake flanker.

Brings back memories of wearing L’eau d’Issey back when I was in uni - a birthday gift from a friend.I used it all up within months. This has that same fresh aquatic smell, but with pear and honey on top. As it dries, the honey and Rose become more prominent, but it never quite loses that Leau d’Issey DNA. Lovely scent for spring to take you throughout the day and then maybe layer something a little spicier on for evening, After ten mins I can smell the woodiness of the base coming through, but the top and Rose are still there too. This is not a strong typical Rose, but the Rose adds a nice floral feel to the fruit. Sadly it doesn’t last long, although after 3 hours there’s still a sweet soft watery Rose scent but it’s a skin scent, my nose has to be almost touching to smell it.

Sad to report that this does not smell the same as Pure Nectar, which I was able to sample. The watery dewiness is really missing here, and instead smells more powdery, as if either the cashmere or possibly ambergris is dialed up. Still nice although a little generic. Edit: I realized I still have my sample of Pure Nectar, and I was able to do a side by side. The difference is still there, but it is admittedly VERY subtle. Probably unnoticeable to most! Still, this just does not do it for me the way Pure Nectar did. I gave it away.

It's honey floral and pear scent to me. The scent is quite sharp and strong sweet honey one. It's quite a unique scent. The longevity is forever! even being an EDT, it lasts all day for me living in hot and humid country. 2 spray is enough for this one I think, as I accidentally spray 4 times once in a rush when I first buy it and it's really strong and I get a bit headache from too much spray lol. Also this one smell exactly like L'Eau d'Issed Pure Nectar de Parfum, the EDP one.

The opening is pretty nectar, just like a petal from a pear blossom then it dries down a very oriental floral with a creamy musk. The nectar note remains throughout and has a beautiful peppery sharpness. Good for spring. I like it. Oh and it has this papery note that honestly reminds me of the silver paper that you get in a box of Silk Cut cigarettes - not a bad smell just a papery newness that’s distinctive

Just reporting in to say this smells exactly like 'L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar' however it's much weaker. There is no distinction between the two except this one is poor in performance. I friggin ADORE the scent, it's a 15/10 for me...buuut I'll be sticking with the EDP :) Edit: I bite my own words😂, got the biggest bottle for a good price since I use the EDP like crazy! More Pure Nectarrrr MORE

This one was surprising on my skin. It smells like honeyed rose, with the rose note being more prominent than others. At first, I feared it will be too strong but after fifteen minutes it is much softer and smells deliciously with the pear note popping up. I reminds me a bit of a refreshing cocktail. It is a great value warm season scent that holds up for at least 4 hours.

the edt is sooo beautiful, smells like fresh white flowers on a spring day... i also pick up a bergamot note that gives a crisp feeling to it. i can’t really smell the honey, pear or rose but nonetheless it’s a very clean and intimate scent. the longevity and the sillage is not very good just like other issey miyake fragrances but enough for the warmer months.

This perfume smells like a hot spring day✨it's fuzzy warm honey and pear with rose make it the perfect blind buy. If you like these notes you must try it or buy it if you find it in a good price, I'm wearing it almost everyday and the longevity on clothes is crazy

At first when testing this out I thought that it was too strong for me but I was wrong. Pure Petale smells really good ... like honey, rose and pear. It projects but it doesn't last the entire day I would say roughly 4-5 hours.

Pear as top note is freshly sweet and then turns into honey with rose. It lasts very long even second day i can smell it also honey makes it very sticky which smells heavier. Generally, 5 our of 10

This is a perfect summer scent - refreshing, yet sweet.

I had to adjust my brain when I first sprayed this in order to enjoy it based on it’s own merits. I had expected, based on the similarity of the names and the notes listed, for this to smell just like Pure Nectar, just more floral. Spoiler alert: it does not. In a direct comparison, Pure Nectar has the pear and rose turned up to an 11 (not a bad thing, I LOVE Pure Nectar). It’s also more clearly reminiscent of the original L’eau D’Issey. Pure Petale starts off much fresher and drier, with its sweetness coming from the honey, not the pear. The rose is also noticeable from the start, but it’s a lightly powdery rose, rather than a jammy one like Pure Nectar. The dry down is a muted woody floral that’s pleasant, but not as beautiful as Pure Nectar.

I actually get white-ish flowers rather than rose, and a bit of honey. It smells fine, but doesn't smell modern.

I have made a point of this before with issey florale. That is, now while wearing Petale, i cant help but feel some Guerlain - Idylle. So, if you fancy Idylle with some aquatics - try Issey petale. Im just saying they smell faintly alike. The aquatics in IP has a monotone groan like metallic feel to me. But overall its nice, (when i ignore that addition) especially if you're an Issey fan and like a little variation to your issey. I could also smell a nice rose jam intermittently for a little while. Almost a touch Si intense. Fairly linear is IP, a little fruit still hiding and with that undercurrent cashmeran evident ..whooaaHH that can be love hate ! IP has got that typical - with something more or less - Issey smell. In the end, if you like that sort of aquatic with a flesh (yes flesh) and faint fruit twist...give it a go. Edit : Next day - definitely guerlain idylle relative. Petale is fainter, blurrier, any soft lily here is felt far away , probably due to the foamy aquatic note.

Totally did NOT smell as expected. What did I expect? Ralph by Ralph Lauren/Rosie Jane Laila/ shampoo vibes. Don’t laugh. I loooove me some Ralph/shampoo vibes. Those were literally the first perfumes I was attracted to in the early 90s. I adore the original Issey and it hold very fond memories as I bought it duty free at Heathrow in 99. It’s one of my favorites! I got an amazing deal on this and shrugged, why not? While the scents mentioned above are light and bright, this one is duskier and warmer. Warm! The honey for sure which I smell right off. I’m not a fan of literal interpretations of honey, preferring real photorealistic honey like those Lush honey soaps. Yum. The honey kinda dethrones the florals and pear. I may sell this. The bottle is frigging gorgeous!

During the summer this smells so nice and fresh, just a tad sweet, but in colder weather it's too sweet for me, but it's probably just me cause I don't enjoy sweet perfumes. I'll let it wait for better days in my perfume cabinet till april/may. By the way, I have no such issue with the original eau d'issey, it's pretty much the same all year round

Soapy woody sweet fresh Very different to my usual.. I am not obsessed with this yet..Will update later. But this will work beautifully in work formal settings where you don't want the perfume to make an announcement but quietly accompany you like hand in glove.

this is so clean , fresh , dewy but sweet honeyish at the same time , its warm and suitable for all seasons . for some reason when i wear this perfume i feel like a fancy corporate law girly in Japan in the 90s. i would say its a safe blind buy.

The heavy honey note reminds me of Scandal that I have already have 🙂. It’s cheaper but more “pungent” than Scandal. I don’t mind it. It doesn’t last too long unfortunately. I would rate it 6.5/10. Don’t know if I can smell the pear note tho.

selling a bottle of this for cheap as i havent used much and its just sitting on my shelf. (uk based) over half way full for £15, msg me!!x if you feel safer buying thru depop we can do that :P
