L'Eau d'Issey Summer 2018

This is too floral to me. I really do like it but it seems so floral it takes something away from it and makes it less special. It is light and summery but not perfume-y enough for me.

I agree with one of the reviewers below about this fragrance being marine. To me, it’s not really special and definitely leans more masculine. On my skin, it sorta smells like a citrus white tea backwash (I know that’s weird but that’s what I get). I’ll continue to wear it around the house bc I want to know what it smells like mixed with a cucumber body lotion/butter (waiting to get that in the mail).

I’m such a creature of habit ...and as per usual I found a l’eau d’issey summer for super cheap- side note I buy local from one store only and then I have one store online I buy from- this came from my online site and was (in their words) 98% full it was a 100mls tester for $20.00 CANADIAN DOLLARS!!! I couldn’t past it up so onto my review. If there is one thing I’ve come to realize over the years since discovering Issey Miyake fragrances , it’s that ALL perfumes they come out with have the same base line to them and smell the same but different at the same time-if that makes any sense lol they all smell the same but each one must have a few extra notes to make it unique to all of the ones before it. And this is no exception. My first Issey summer was in 2013 and I find that one was more on the aquatic floral and this one is green and slightly citrusy. It is lovely and I plan to wear it a lot this spring and summer, it does almost come close to l’eau d’issey lotus which is my all time favourite fragrance and can’t find it anywhere so this helps lol

I wish I had paid attention to the nose behind it, it is like not very distinctive, and very ordinary, like some of Morillas creations can be...it smells nice, it has a breezy vibe but it is kind of vague !? A bit of floral, then citrus , then a note that kind of doesn't belong..not sure if it is the litchi...I don't get any wood, nor vanilla...it is mostly a clean floral, with a hint of fruits..I had expected more vanilla, all in whole, this is a let down...thank goodness I got it with a nice discount..furthermore it is very light and disappears fast...oh well. When you buy unsniiffed you take a chance !!

It's fresh and marine light, no fruit/tropical detected for me. It dries down to very softly masculine and not at all harsh. It's nice but nothing special

I am surprised to see that there are no floral notes in this composition. On me, it smelled like an aquatic white floral. Anyway, very nice fragrance.
