L'Eau Majeure d'Issey Shade of Sea

This is good stuff. Nothing ground brakeing but good. Let's get down to the business. Presentation: Presentation is typical for the Majeure D'issey -line. Heavy bottle with huge cap. Cap is solid and heavy but made from plastic. Bottle itself is very heavy class and feels great in the hand. If you have held even one bottle from the Majeure d'issey -line you know how this feels. Atomiser is above average. Scent: If you are looking for citrus heavy fragrance then this is not for you. If you are looking unique and new type of scent then this is not for you. If you are looking for mass appealing scent for the hot spring/summer days that will make you feel fresh and aquatic, then this is for you. This smell like casual beach dude hows not a teenager anymore. This really will take you to the sea and give you that beach feel. Like I said before the scent dna is not new and it has that Old School "vibe", but its not dated. At all. And yeah there is that ambroxan note which is great on this one but its nothing like in Sauvage. The scent is very hard to describe beacous its kinda like sea salty and ambroxany but still kinda fresh. It smells better that it sounds. Seasons: Hot spring and summer days. Where to use: In my opinion this scent is very versatile. Casual, work, school, beach and gym. For how: I dont find this unisex at all, so for a man. Years ~20+ -> Logevity: Again I think its above average. Pretty heavy projection for the first hour and desent projection about 3-4 hours. Skin scent after 8 hours but if you start to sweat it will start projecting again. So for this type of scent, its great. Price: This one can be found under 40 €/usd and i think maybe even closer to the 30 €/usd. Value for money in my opinion is 10/10. Overall rating: 8/10☀️

This is very pleasant! If u like a bergamot, it's very predominant here at 15mins after applying. Then on my skin, it becomes more fruity and tropical flowers that can be found in temples. (Frangipani I guess..?), at the same time salty. Wood notes are not as strong on my skin as on a paper. This gives me an association to warm, tropical beach environment's typical smell. Def a summer fragrance because this one needs tempature to shine! It lasts quite long but projection is just moderate. Safe but still has some personality.

Aegean sea, breeze, sun seagulls, sailing boats on turquoise waters ... whole in this bottle...

Summer in a bottle ,very good Issey Miyake!

When I first got my bottle I sprayed on my wrist and I immediately got a callback to l'Eau d'Issey Sport which is strange as what I get the most from it is grapefruit and leather non of which are present in this one but the resemblance was uncanny. Today I'm wearing it for the first time and the difference is night and day compared to what I got yesterday. Yes, there's some similarities or a familiar feel between the two but nothing more than that. With Shade of Sea there is some sweetness, there's also a coconut-y feel, like a suntan lotion vibe and since there is no coconut listed in the notes I'll assume it's because of the Frangipani (which I've never smelled before). I also get some orange, not bitter as listed in the notes just regular orange and a very nice salty note cause after all, it's a Majeure flanker so it does have the DNA. This is a gorgeous fragrance, I had little to no faith in it but went for it just because I love everything Issey Miyake does and it's a very nice surprise. I hope performance is good as I'd love to be able to smell like this for most of the day.
