Im so pleased to have this. Based on the reviews here I confidently blind bought 2 big bottles (the last time I did that it was a complete fail though). I love it !! The reviews are accurate. First blast is a lovely sweetly grassy, green apple vibe. Then a pretty rosey, musky woods comes through. It truly is a 'green' expression of sweet, spicey, airy rose buds. I can imagine they are pink rose buds. A beautiful scent bubble envelopes for a couple of hours (10 sprays on skin and clothes). The bottle design is glorious. Its heavy and is a real tactile experience to hold and look upon. I interpret the white top to represent a closed poppy flower. The whole thing is a work of art. The mission statement by the designer/perfumers to execute 'weightless freshness' is a success. Its an absolute love for me.

Pleats Please L'Eau is sweet, green, cooling, fresh and long lasting. The pink pepper note is fleeting but refreshing. The white musk is very light, airy, fresh, not dusty at all. The roses smell naturally sweet and strong. Neroli adds a bitter green note to balance the natural floral sweetness . Patchouli is light , delicate and minty. Cedar is light, too, keeping the blend fresh and long lasting. With moderate projection, this perfume lasts easily 7 hours before settling down close to skin. Clean, sweet, ultra feminine, Pleats Please L''Eau is perfect for Spring and Summer days. Highly recommended if you like sweet flowers with fresh greenery.

Pure. Fresh. Clean Laundry. Light florals. Green. I am outside hanging my laundry out on the line. There is a light breeze and I can smell the fresh green aura of spring all around. My nose gets green tender wild roses delicately enhanced by the brightness of neroli. I adore how the pink pepper breaks up the two rose notes and as the sensuous Bulgarian rose is more developed and has a spiciness of its own. Finally my laundry is dry and the white musk leaves a delicious skin scent with slightly more spiciness from the cedar and grounded by the green patchouli. This is a fresh, light and easy day.

I had to come back here and do another review. This perfume is BEAUTIFUL. Every time I wear it I get compliments. When I first got it, it smelt very citrusy and peppery to me. It wasn't my fav but I thought it was interesting. After some time I smell more of the rose and some sweet, delicate feminine prettiness. The pepper has toned done. And now I'm panicking because it is unavailable on the sites I use to buy perfumes! I want another one!!!! This is a true gem of a fragrance!

This was a blind buy and I'm glad it was! Because if I'd smelt a sample I probably wouldn't have bought it. Not because it's terrible but because it's sooo different to any of the scents I usually gravitate towards. I LOVE IT!! It' so unique and is a bright, floral, spicy, sweet, burst of delight! It smells like what joy would smell like if it was converted into a fragrance! It's more commanding than delicate, but it's that long lasting and the projection is average.

A lovely green floral... Airy, not too dense, but with good performance. First I was kind of doubting my need for another "rose scent", as I already have so many different ones... But from the reviews this sounded more like a crisp light green botanical experience. Rose is there, but it's just like one of the flowers in the garden on a spring morning. Actually reminds me quite a lot of both the classic Coriandre and the modern Florabotanica.

Pleats Please L'Eau is my favourite green scent. On me, the rose is subtle, and the fresh greens and white florals predominate. I'm unable to wear many green and white floral scents. They go on too sharp and remain that way, even after drydown. But Pleats Please L'Eau stays fresh and gentle. My skin does best with spicy, warm scents, so I'm glad I have found a fresh one that works for me.

I love this fragrance. I don't detect any rose at all, but the description points out that green buds are used, before they open. I do detect a lily-of-the-valley note even though it is not listed as a note. Perhaps that is the Neroli. It is fresh and feminine, sweet but not powdery. I think it projects elegance. I would be happy to wear this out to dinner.

Love the rose in this one, it's super clean and easy to wear. Whenever I'm feeling indecisive, this one is so easy to just throw on. It projects decently well, and last decently long too, and it's an absolute steal if you can find it at Shopper's Drug Mart for CA$21.99 like I did.

I just received a 30 ml bottle. I must say its very much floral n beautiful, as time goes by it gets even better. Yes neroli lovers wud love this. I thought it has green notes also. Bt not really. Anyway longevity n silliage both r gud. I love the bottle also

This is an underrated scent, I think. It is a delicious green rose - sparkling and fresh. As soon as I put it on I felt delightful. I am getting a muguet-type vibe from the neroli-rose mix. Fits in well with Diorissimo I think (I can never spell that(.

A beautiful light fresh sweet garden fresh woody herby floral. Lovely roses, young and sweet yet green, and rich sweet herby earthy patchouli and wood. Very sophisticated and elegant. Gorgeous.

Pleats Please is a really really nice fresh easy going scent. It's classic Issey Miyake mixed with lotus leaf, simple fresh and light. Soooo beautiful. This is a true love for me!

I am just so excited that i am doing this review even before my bottle arrived. 😂 I am going to have a Indian wedding and have been hunting for a special but economical wedding day frag for almost a year. It should suit my wedding theme as well as the hot weather in my country. Came across this scent on fragX and thought why not give it a try. Plus since I am going to drape a saree on that day, the name Pleats Please just reminded me of my saree pleats. Looking at the review here, it may be a winner for me. Still waiting for my frag to arrive, will update soon. 😊 EDIT + UPDATE: I have tried it for a couple of days. The scent isn't strong with monster sillage but it is a very calming fresh scent, perfectly suited for a humid day or evening. I get a good amount of florals and it is quite long lasting on skin and clothes. I also feel there's some aquatic notes here and to some extend this reminds me of CK Eternity Moment. Definitely office safe and i think it wouldn't irritates anyone especially since the scent sits close to skin. But it is also an easily forgetable scent as it doesn't bring anything special in it that makes me crave it. With that being said, this isn't a bad fragrance and could still be appealing to many ladies out there. I guess my hunt for a economical wedding fragrance would be still on-going then. 😁

This was a blind purchase for $20 at the drugstore.. Because of Coronavirus they don't want people opening packages to test. At any rate, I've never seen this one offered before so I took a gamble! First off, great package colours and bottle! It feels great in the hand and looks pretty cool. The sprayer gives a nice healthy pouf and felt quite luxe. I have to say that is one of the best feeling sprays I've felt yet.. As for smell, I hated the first few minutes. Ugh, what did I buy... but then I realised this is a simple fresh and light smell that is actually quite beautiful after it settles down. I usually dislike these types of rosey scents but I'm glad to have something lighter like this in my collection. I usually tend towards more deep evening/winter smells. 6h later its still lingering, but not in a "typical vanilla" way. I like it! Curious to see how it smells in warmer weather.

03. february 2014 Oh wow! This is very lovely one! I do like the "L ́elixir" edition, i like the EDP very much, but this "L ́eau" is something more advanced. It is like a spring in the bottle! Very fresh, but not zquatic or ozonic, it has a freshness of a young green grass, i don ́t know how they managed to do this. Yet it is also has that "body" of the previous editions. When i smelled it today i was intstantly transformed around 3 month forward, when there is no snow outside and temperature is around 10-15 ́C celsius degrees. It has a smell of the semi-early spring. And the colour of the flacon captures it perfectly. It is moderatly sweet, and when the opening is quite strong, the middle part is more softer and has a very lovely rose notes. Good sillage and good lasting power (around 5 hrs). I am defenitely getting this one!!!

Soapy and fresh, a scent that makes you feel good and put together, ready for the day. I got a 3.4 oz bottle two years ago and I initially put it into the “to sell” lot but I am glad its still with me today. If you like soapy scents, this is for you: it’s a beautiful old style (but not old) rose solid soap scent with neroli in it, it will definitely make you feel clean. I love the bottle that mimics the pleats on Miyake’s fabrics, it’s a unique design and a great addition to my perfume collection. I am planning to use it at the office but just 1-2 sprays, as it could get heavy, and it lasts long so I can relay on a good sillage throughout the day.

Definitely a summer fragrance that you spritz on generously to refresh and cool down. It's clean, green and has flowers. Although simple enough, I would NOT describe this perfume as generic. I happened upon it by chance about 4 years ago when it was being sold at an airport for very little. I am now on my second bottle because it's the kind of fragrance I keep in my bag on summer days spent running errands, going to the beach or simply having a picnic. Not super long-lasting, you will have to re-apply during the day. Note: I am generally not an Issey Miyaki fan - this is the only fragrance I own from this house.

Got this from the $19 rack at Shoppers Drug Mart because I heard it was a dupe for Ouai’s Melrose Place. I didn’t have high hopes, but for $19, what do I have to lose? This is far greener and fresher than Melrose Place, which makes it more of a summer scent than a spring scent. I’ve been gravitating towards this every day now that it’s above 25 degrees out. Super fresh and clean without being too astringent or aquatic. When I want it to lean more floral, I add a spritz of the Gisou hair perfume and it’s perfect :) Will be wearing with my knockoff Pleats Please skirts from Ali Express all summer long.

This is a very beautiful, fresh rose, a very realistic floral, like smelling fresh flowers in a wet garden- I'm usually not a fan of rose in perfumes, I find it old fashioned and too much (even though I know it's been everywhere in the last few years), but here it is just perfect, beautifully blended with the neroli and musk. It's a great alternative to citrus scents in summer, and lovely for day to day wear all year round. I don't detect any patchouli at all.

Really soft, feminine delicate, clean and fresh, but short longevity. Wouldn't pay full price, but liked it enough to buy at a deep discount. Smells like young white roses on green stems arranged in a cut crystal vase on a glass table in the early summer sunshine. Effortlessly chic-- think white silk dress, coral necklace, sun hat, sunglasses, light tan colored sandals. Wonder how the elixir of this compares?

A triumph of rose and neroli on a bed of musk — the rose is soooo smooth! Pleats Please is a scent for modern romantics, reckless day-dreamers and blind optimists. This is an injection of joie de vivre and that's exactly what I need right now. •-•-•-•-• UPDATE: this is an EDT with the strength of an EDP! Sillage medium and longevity around 12 hours. Advice: do not overspray!

This is a very fresh, very beautiful and very feminine scent perfect for spring and summer. I'm not really into fresh, clean scents but this is one of the few I actually liked very much. My friend and sister loved it. I don't get the negativity here. This perfume is the perfect fresh scent for warm weather and I have gone through a lot of those. Definitely on my want list.

Wohoooww heavy lilly of the valley all the way! Is not even in the note pyramid, but that's what I felt straights when I sprayed it on. However later it tones down to something similar in sweetness, I'd say freesia with neroli. Not bad but too strange and sweet to even match that green color of the perfume. I was expecting something lightweight and fresh.

first spray is very soap-like, but the dry down of rose is really nice. scents are not unique, as it has a very "standard fragrance" type to it, but at a good price. would recommend to spray more if you want it to be longer lasting.

I love what the cedar note does for this composition. Personally, it's what sold it to me. Lasting power is surprisingly decent for something bearing the name "L'Eau". Really enjoying it so far, lovely everyday scent.

Wonderful warm and fresh, subtle and yum It's not a harsh cool frag, sad a pbout the longecpvity though... Will try again on its own, it may be fighting against the other scents I've fptried today

Angel Trumpet Flowers. Green leaves. Powdery soap. Mushrooms and woods. But on the skin? Add in lush berries and tropical sweet notes, and it's fairyland in a bottle.

Very inoffensive, flowers, green. Strangely, I don’t get the obvious rose. A bit of sweetness. It’s quite pretty. Would be especially lovely in the spring.

I have got both the red one and the violet one and love them equally..but strangely this doesn't work for me at all, I even have to puke when trying this

Love this one, I am on the 2nd bottle right now. Smells magical to me and a little bit to unisex side. One of my the most favorites!

A nice fresh and light neroli scent. No rose to my nose. Even Aurelien Guichard does not talk about rose in his interview about it!

The rose is definitely the star here and it's blended smoothly with the other florals and musk. These come out most on my skin. It's greener on the card versus skin. The rose on my skin is shockingly photorealistic (something I rarely say). It's floral and creamy while still being fresh and having a green quality. I don't pick up cedar much and the patchouli is minimal (these might come out as the scent progresses). I love that it isn't overwhelming. I think it will be an easy reach until I finish the bottle. I read a review that considered this fragrance as "reflective" and while it sounds unusual, I have to agree. There is something reflective about this fragrance. I prefer it on the card but it doesn't last long at all on the card where it projects and lasts well on skin though about an hour into wear it does become a bit soapy on skin and clothes. If it didn't become soapy, I would be more excited for this fragrance. Overall, if you like rose and are looking for something that is a creamy, floral, fresh, scent (that can veer soapy)- this might be a good fit. You can also pick it up for a great value but I would suggest sampling first.

This one was a gift from a friend as I said I was interested in pleats please EDP and I think they thought this might similar. I still didn't try the original EDP so I've no idea how it compares. I don't know about what's listed, but to me this smells like sweet pea stems with the flowers in the background, it's sweet but green and it's not entirely natural 😉. It's got a heavy dose of laundry musk and ambroxan, but thankfully it's not got that grainy texture, it's actually pretty smooth. I wear this to work and around the house, it's one that lasts a while on skin but weirdly fades quite quickly on clothes. It's a fresh clean inexpensive spring scent really. If you want to smell like you just showered, this is a good one. I wouldn't purchase another bottle but I've finished this one.

Regretful cheapy blind buy. I remember not loving this one years ago when it was in stores but thought I'd give it another go as I love most Issey Miyakes and my tastes have changed over the years. This is complete generic bla. It's fresh, but there's no rose or pepper? Very soft neroli and pachouli, and don't get any of the same DNA as the other Pleats Please offerings. The bottle I purchased might just be too old and lost it's magic (batch date is nearly 6 years old), but I have older perfumes than that which are still going strong. NO silage. It smells like something you'd buy at a discount pharmacy for a young girl. I'll never get through the 50ml bottle.

When used sparingly, Pleats Please L'Eau is simple yet pleasant and exceptionally long-lasting. Over-spraying really emphasizes the synthetic florals, and it becomes unwearable. Of the listed notes, I detect only rose and neroli. There's also some sweet pea, which is in the original Pleats Please but apparently not the L'Eau version. Edit: I first reviewed Pleats Please L'Eau in humid summer weather. Revisiting it on a dry, cold day, it's a completely different experience. The suffocating florals are now muted. The musk, cedar, and a hint of patchouli appear. This is a decent perfume - but better in the winter.

A fresh green rose. Pretty, but there's something in there I don't like and I'm not sure what it is. Maybe the cedar or the patchouli? Sadly I am returning my bottle. (Also would be disappointed with the longevity of this if I liked it more.) If I am wanting a fresh rose scent I'm more likely to go for a classic like Chloe which doesn't have that mystery note that I find unpleasant.

I honestly don’t feel any rose, neroli or pepper in it. I wonder why it doesn’t have an ‘apple’ note on the list, cause to me it smells pretty much like dkny apple or d&g imperatrice with some musk on top. It smells sort of synthetic and far from sophisticated. It is softer and more harmonious than the pink bottle though.

Ok, I received this as a gift and my first impression was not good. I can be iffy when it comes to rose scents at time because it reminded me of bathroom spray. However. After using it for a while I adjusted and now enjoy it. It's not something I would purchase but I will enjoy it while I have it.

Too aquatic and weak for me. I don’t get any rose at all, nor much spice. It’s fresh and green, but I know I won’t reach for it often. Disappointing sillage. However it won’t offend anyone so safe to wear anywhere. Surprised pear and apple notes aren’t mentioned as I seem to smell them.

This was my go-to perfume on the days I had classes during university when I did not put much thought into what I wore, mostly because I just wanted to finish it. I never smelled any rose in it and it was too grassy for my taste.

Pleats Please L'eau opens with a promising fresh, clean, and green rose note. However, it unfortunately veers too far into astringency, throwing off the delicate balance. The Neroli adds its usual bitterness without the charming citrus facets that could have made it beautiful. As a result, the fragrance develops into something reminiscent of cheap hairspray on the skin, leaving me disappointed, especially considering my hopes for an improved drydown. Unfortunately, the scent remains linear, lacking the anticipated soft, fluffy musk or clean woodsy base, maintaining the same astringent floral character throughout the wear. Clearly intended as a warm weather fragrance, Pleats Please L'eau does possess elements that could complement the heat, but the overall result falls short in terms of pleasantness. Issey Miyake has other warm weather, fresh fragrances, such as L'Eau d'Issey and A Scent by Issey Miyake, which outshine this one. Both of those fragrances have a more unisex appeal, while Pleats Please L'eau leans much more towards a feminine scent. In terms of performance, Pleats Please L'eau fares decently for a fresher scent. It manages to last around 4-6 hours on my skin with a light to moderate projection for most of the wear. However, it eventually becomes very soft and close to the skin during the last hour of wear. Regrettably, the overall packaging of Pleats Please L'eau leaves much to be desired. While the abstract geometric shape of the bottle and the pretty green juice are appealing, the rest of the design clashes and distracts from its potential. The pink writing, in particular, feels unpleasantly mismatched. The cap's contrasting shape, though perhaps intended for uniqueness, fails to achieve its purpose and gives off a cheap impression. On the upside, the bottle features a pretty good atomizer. For those on a budget, Pleats Please L'eau can be found at reasonable prices, especially for Canadians. The 50ml bottle is often available on the $20 discount shelf at Shopper's. Additionally, Fragrancenet still offers samples for sale if you wish to try it for yourself. However, with other superior options available within the Issey Miyake line, it may be wise to explore those first before committing to Pleats Please L'eau.

An anagram of petals please or preferably no more petals please because this one is just overpoweringly floral and green and linear. Summery yes, long lasting, annoyingly so. I did not enjoy this.Becomes a little bit cleaning productesque after a while on the skin.The bottle is sort of a cool multifaceted concept but unpleasant to handle, the cap looks weird on it and the overall effect is a bit naff. Dislike.

It is fresher and much better than the other perfumes from the Pleats Please collection, but still, quite strong floral and nose pinching. I think neroli note in perfumes is just not my thing. It's spicy, there's lots of pink pepper in it. I love it in perfumes, but in this one I really can't enjoy this neroli - pink pepper mix. Very storng and sharp, probably long lasting too.
