Sooooo glad I blind bought this. Jackie is the love child of Chanel #5 and Estee Legacy and a dash of Rose Poudre for good measure. Exactly what I was hoping for. And at a bargain price! Sparkling aldehydes meet fine rose and iris dusting powder, creamy sweet ylang and soft almond vanilla heliotrope. If you love powder and aldehydes like I do and love fragrances like Estee Legacy, Chanel #5 and the Eau de premiere you will love Jackie. Sophisticated, sparkling, feminine and chic. Smells like it could be a Chanel #5 flanker. Huge 3.4 ounce bottle for around $50 after tax etc .. great price for a really versatile and lovely feminine fragrance. Soft sillage. Suitable for office etc. Edit: I tested this on my mom and she loved it. I think I will get her a bottle for Christmas. I you like hazy floral, aldehydic, musky florals this is a really pretty one. Innocent, soft. non offensive. Long lasting though. And the review below mine is right, no new horrid aroma chemicals like ambroxan.

I just recieved this: (From HSN) My first thoughts are that this is BEAUTIFUL! It's delicate and a bit sweet and powdery. The powdery aspect is so pretty. Not like makeup powder and not like baby powder either. Thank goodness! I'm picturing a bouquet of the most delicate flowers wrapped in a gauzey material. It's lovely!

Initial impression: I like this very much. It is definitely a classic-style fragrance, and a distant cousin of Ombre Rose. I would not recommend it to anyone who didn't have an appreciation for classic-style floral aldehydes. Thankfully, I'm not detecting any of the excesses typical of contemporary perfumes (like Ambroxan /Iso E/ethyl maltol overdoses.) Powdery iris and rose are strongest on me. The iris is not so much a woody/potato-y orris as an abstract iris "note", probably a mixture of ionones and irones. It's lasting well on me but is definitely a quieter fragrance. This could be an office fragrance for a floral aldehyde lover when her vintage #5 is just too much.

This is a very pretty, musky floral aldehyde, with the emphasis on the musk. It's a very light your skin but better kind of fragrance with low projection. I see it is compared to No. 5 edt., and I honestly don't get that. The only thing they have in common are both are designated floral aldehydes. This has more in common with EA's True Love and Love's Baby Soft as it has the same innocent soft vibe and the softness of baby powder though I don't find this heavy on the powder. - it's more musky than powdery. The musk in the base reminds me of the commercial musk used in a lot of fragrances on the market, like a Jovan Musk, for example. There is a big audience for this type of fragrance, either through not liking heavier fare or necessity, like being in an environment that frowns on fragrance. This is good for that, but I prefer something not so angelic. Fortunately, thanks to a friend giving me a sample, I was able to avoid wasting money on something I most likely would never wear. Edit - I think this was miscategorized. This is not a floral aldehyde but a musk perfume. It also performs excellently. Low projection but stays with you all day.

If you’re a vanilla sugar person you probably scrolled past this. Wise. If you’re a lover of the old empire of floral aldehydes this is your day! Smooth and sleek reminds me of the L aimant family. But modern. A true gift. It’s clean airy soapy ylang ylang rose but also light creamy. Some may find it sour, especially on opening. But it’s a bright fragrance. Not loud. Again a modern sensibility. Present it not loud. Kind like Jackie. Classy. It’s almost abstract. For the right person this is very safe blind buy. Very tame aldehydes but they are there.
