One Man Show

Well dang! I must say, after having been (COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY LET DOWN) by my recent purchases of some classic mens fragrances, and their rediculously bad reformulations of fragrances such as Ralph Lauren's Polo, Tuscany per Uomo and Dior Fahrenheit for example, this bottle of Bogart's One Man Show is a freakin' AWESOME change of pace!! Also, although its possible that since my bottle is brand new and hasnt macerated, I definately would NOT consider this a "Chypre" or even a "Green fragrance" bc I get absolutely NO PINE NEEDLES, but I would definately call this an "Oriental Spicey aromatic/Fougere fragrance". One Man Show has this MOUTH-WATERING, fresh, spicey, clean, semi-sweet, "spiced spearmint" like opening which is probably provided by the Basil/Cardamom combo, and is just SUPER appealing and addictive! Oh man! I'm wearing this right now for the very first time, and I just hope that the"maceration process" doesn't change this opening much bc its so damn GORGEOUS! And to think that I got both the 3.4 oz bottle of fragrance along with the 6 oz body spray for just $20! Freakin' CRA CRA! I also have Bogart Pour Homme which I really like and didnt think could be surpassed by this house, but this is pretty dang close to at-least being tied with Bogart Pour Homme! Also, I know this is considered a "classic dna", but I dont recall another fragrance that smells quite like this one does which imo makes this pretty "unique". It's especially that "sweet/spearmint like "Basil/spiciness" in the opening thats doin' it for me. Now I must say that the performance isn't as great as I thought it would be because the strong opening fades within 20 -30 mins and seems weak once it reaches the mid, BUT again, my bottle is brand spankin' new, so Im pretty sure that after it "macerates" a bit, it'll open up and be just fine, which actually happens quite a bit with new bottles of perfume. Also, yeah, if ya were to put this juice in a "niche brand's bottle", along with a few performance and oil quality tweaks, NOBODY would bat an eye and this would probably be a "hype beast" in the fragcom! Take a look at Naxos by Xerjoff which smells a lot like Bogart Pour Homme for example, its a "niche dna". 8 outta 10 (SUPER AFFORDABLE) fragrance in my opinion and even better once the performance imrpoves. Hits way, WAY above its price point.. TOTAL SCORE!!😊 And thanks to whomever took the time to read my thoughts on Bogart's One Man Show! Stellar frag! -----------------UPDATE------------------- Well, It's been well over a month, and YES, The performance has improved some. I do have to "over-spray" just a little bit to get this frag to perform during a full work shift probably bc of the mandatory reformulation (OakMoss), but with One Man Show being as affordable as it is, I ain't complaining. I also really enjoy wearing this scent whenever I have something to do in the early a.m. bc it's NOT offensive and the ultra clean, pleasant spicey-soapiness seems pleasant, inviting and inoffensive. This scent is AWESOME! -------edit 2‐------- After a couple more months of maturing, One Man Show really does last a lomg time (especially on clothes where its noticable for days). Its also bocome a bit more potent, and so imma need to bump this thing up from an 8 to a 9 outta 10. It's pretty addictive, so appealing and almost "Yummy Soapiness " if that makes any sense? Pertty sexy/masculine stuff! Lol

One Man Show was released in 1980. My bottle is from 2003. just purchased December 2025 This is just a masterpiece in all honesty. Hall of Fame, take this one to the bank. I think personally, this is one of the finest, manliest and most uncompromising classic colognes all time. Its not only amazing, its affordable and is still available at a great price with the same level of performance it always had (unlike many other reformulated classics of its era). This is one of the manliest fragrances ever made. Its old school certified, its genre is chypre fougere barbershop and its absolutely eighties, commanding and masculine. Its a lot like Polo (Ralph Lauren OG green 1978) and Quorum (Antonio Puig) from the same era but the difference lies in its less foresty feel and its fearless tenacity. Theres maybe a touch more citrus and a smokier depth, a little more powdery, less leather and patchouli and less fougere earthiness. its so very close to Polo and Quorum ....a few little differences but not too much, maybe a bit sweeter, more barbershop and its definitely less complex. One Man Show is clean yet grimy, earthy, raw, rugged, outdoors, dirty and pretty loud. This is an expression of its times, a mans man scent, bombastic, confident and doesn't suffer fools gladly. Its still bang strong in the modern era. The kind of man juice scent that was massive in the eighties and personally i still love these eighties strength chypre/fougere classics. I sure couldn't wear them daily or even every week though...... and summer is just a no go, this is for winter and autumn. Mens colognes of the 21st century just don't smell like this anymore, and men just don't smell like this anymore, which is why i love to wear classic fougere chypres like this every few weeks. Like playing a classic Hendrix album at full volume and pissing the neighbours off, its a wonderful treat every now and then.....filthy loud, nasty, dirty yet smooth, rich with harmony, tightly rhythmic, glidingly structured by genius and unquestionably a masterpiece. Pine, patchouli, dusky leather, persistent animalic castoreum, floral/geranium, set off with a light touch of spice and smokiness, fresh, foresty, green yet plenty deep, a typically fierce chypre with hefty sillage, projection and longevity but way darker and deeper than most. Basenotes are beautifully addicting, smoky patchouli and just delectable. I adore the drydown on this....a classic gentleman chopping wood in the woods scent. You can't get a better old school classic for this price, you just can't..... and you won't find many better expressions of traditional masculinity either. Possibly the definitive most masculine Chypre Fougere of all time, minimum it achieves a place on the podium next to Polo and Antaeus. Hall of Fame for me and its still selling for around 20-25 bucks maximum, 15 if you shop around. So if you're looking for an affordable classically old school scent that still performs as well as it ever did for a mans man type of guy, what are you waiting for?

Just as many may have grown tired of the same formulaic manner of writing about fragrance, I have grown tired of some of my own played out tropes. What more can I add to the discussion of One Man Show? There are nearly 300 reviews on Fragrantica, 67 on Basenotes, and 17 more on Parfumo at the time of this writing. It's hard not to assume that all bases have been covered. Yet, I am compelled to give my thoughts as I have a sense of duty, as it were. A duty to give my take, even as I often debate its relevance—my take, not One Man Show, that is a whole other fistful of pine needles. Pine needles, yes! One Man Show is the smell of pine needles...and man musk. One reviewed referred to One Man Show as "pleasantly green." It's "pleasantly green" like Schiaparelli Shocking is "pleasantly floral." Some mention urinal cakes, others mention root beer, still others mention fresh parsley. One person suggested it is the animus to Cacharel LouLou's anima. What is most fascinating is how varied the opinions truly are: from reverence to revulsion. Many have made clear that the vintage is richer and more full-bodied that more recent iteration, and I wholeheartedly agree. I had a newer bottle and it felt screechy, skeletal, and acrid. The vintage I now own has a sexy pith of pungency, a castoreum accord that newer versions lack, and just feels...seductive. A feral, masculine mischief of a scent. Sure, I could say it isn't quite as refined as my beloveds, Yatagan and Devin. But I just can't help getting past the idea that this is what Al Pacino as Detective Steve Burns smelled like in Cruisin', dancing in that Meatpacking District bar, sweat dripping off his chest, dampening his black tank as he huffs that amyl-saturated tee. Ok, I will leave it at that. At least it can't be said that I added nothing new to the discussion.

I just received this in the mail, and it smells awful. Almost like there's a sour/rotten undertone. I'll probably wait a while and test it again, but so far I don't like it at all. Maybe pine notes just aren't my thing. I was hoping for something green and animalic, but this isn't good. I don't smell any animalic notes at all. Also I'm not a big fan of the sprayer, it seems a little flimsy. Update: Ok so this seems actually wearable now. I've only worn it at home a couple times. Seems to last a long time. Still not my favorite scent, but it is quite pleasant now. For some reason I like the idea of spraying it on my bed/sheets. I still don't notice any animalic notes. Was hoping for something a little dirty, but it's still very masculine. Update 2: I've given up on this one. The smell is not bad, but something about it is so sharp and a bit bothersome after a while. I may still pull it out from time to time just to smell it, but I likely will not ever wear it. Update 3: This is one of the most confusing fragrances I own. I randomly decided to wear it to work for the first time, and it performed beautifully on my skin. I only used one spray and could smell it all day. I'm not sure what changed, but the scent is amazing now! It starts off so woody and clean, later it gets spicier and warm, and then later the leathery sweetness comes out. I was not expecting this at all. I guess it's important to do a proper wearing before deciding how you feel about a fragrance, because on paper/on my hand I was never really in love with this one before. But now I love it. It's so masculine and classic, but doesn't smell like an old man or anything. It seems great for cooler weather, I wouldn't wear this in the summertime. I'm tempted to look for a vintage version just to compare.

EDIT: Update--I have no acquired a bittle of Versace L'Homme, and this--One Man Show--must have been what Versace was going for, and does it a bit better, actually. Original Post: I was prepared to hate it. Bought it just because of the name lol and because it was so cheap—figured it would be some 80s over-powering garbage that I at least needed to know what it smelled like, for “research.” But I now feel it actually is a sophisticated scent. Definitely mature, but nothing animalic or gross (thankfully not like Kouros, yuck!) Two sprays are enough though. It’s not like modern juicy fruity colognes. Think of a man in a dark gray flannel suit. Nicely polished brown leather Allan Edmunds. Gold watch. maybe a college professor, maybe a kindly, august insurance agent, bank manager. Maybe a dad who coaches his kids Pop Warner football, or even a guy that finally got his life together and is just beginning to make a little money for once. If you are practical in common things but still like the finer things, this could be for you. It’s cheap and reliable. Definitely good for cold weather. Definitely not good for hot or humid weather. Of all the notes listed above, accurate, but there is also a really nice, strong, black tea note to this on the dry down. The bottle is dated in design and cheap looking. No way around that, it looks cheap. But the good stuff inside is actually a pretty complex, deep, sophisticated scent. Also it has a beastly longevity without being obnoxious about projection. So I started my fragrance collecting "Journey" a little over two years ago. I first purchased Jacques Bogart One Man Show November 2024, my mind was BLOWN, and then left a review on Fragrantica on November 11, 2024 singing its praises. Well, Im happy to report that as of today, One Man Show is my very first "Empty" after having started my collection! WHOOT!! I know Im Corny for thinking this is even worth reporting on, but I feel its worth mentioning bc out of my 150+ bottle collection this has been so easy to use, and has been such a pleasure wearing. I LOVE the Basil note, mild soapiness and mild spices used here, as well as how distinctive this fragrance is. Makes me feel "Put Together", clean, have great tasts in fragrances and like I JUST KNOW I'M SMELLIN' FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!! lol. Ive also enjoyed (Once in a while) layering One Man Show with other Classic Men's fragrances such as Grey Flannel, One Man Show Oud Edition and other fragrances with Classic Soapy Vibes to make One Man Show even more soapy than what it already is, although I normally just rock this gem on its own. The performance is great (Must let it Maturate for 2 to 3 weeks to reach it's peak performance of 7 to 8 hours on skin). Although One Man Show is EXTREMELY inexpensive, It is just as much of a pleasure to wear as any high priced Designer or "Niche" fragrance. A 9 outta 10, classic men's fragrance and at the below $20 asking price (WITH MATCHING BODY-DEODERANT SPRAY?!!) It is just Crazy-Good and I very much highly recommend it, and ya know I have a back-up bottle!! Thanks to whomever took time to read my thoughts on this excellent, classico Men's Fragrance! WHOOT WHOOOT!!😉

So, although Im not big into mixing fragrances, I actually do have a layering combo recomendation for the fellas who love classic/soapy fragrances (or ladies if ya like soapy masculine scents). Try layering a spritz of Jaques Bogart's one man show with a spritz of Geoffrey Beene's Grey Flannel over it (sometimes 2.and 2 spritzes depending on occasion). Surprisingly, One man show shines through taking center stage, (BUT) Grey Flannel definately adds a bright, sharp-classic/floral soapiness. These two fragrances really do combine so nicely together and in my opinion compliment each-other PERFECTLY probably bc they share all the following notes : (Geranium, Bergamot, Sage, Vetiver, Rose, Tonka Bean, Cedar and OakMoss.) I feel that the Violet Leaf in Grey Flannel adds a "Sharpness" and the BEAUTIFUL, fresh/spicyness from One Man Show smells AMAZE-BALLZ together. As we all know, One Man Show is already a bit soapy, but a spritz or 2 of Grey Flannel takes the soapiness from 50 to 💯. Now, I LOVE both One Man Show and Grey Flannel on their own bc they make me feel so clean, dapper and just "well put-together", but combined these two just elevate each'other imo. I just started using this combo a couple days ago and have gotten quite a few compliments already. I honestly dont know if Ill go back to using these two on their own after discovering this combo bc I honestly do love it so much! If anyone gives this a try, please lemme know if ya like it as much as I do. Again, in the end the concoction still smells unmistakabley like One Man show, just even more "Classically Soapy" than it would on it's own.. Thanks for taking the time folks! Enjoy!!😉

Please pardon me for writing a second review, but I wanted to share my updated thoughts about this masterpiece. My last bottle I bought in 2016, and I just bought another this year, 2023, and they are subtly different. For one, the atomizer is different and much better on the new bottle. For two, this is undoubtedly a "comfort scent" for me. I often wear it to bed or when I am lounging around at home. I'm not trying to impress anybody. I just like it. My teenage daughter walked by and said, "You smell like apple pie", and that took me aback. She went on, "yeah, like cinnamon, clove, very apple pie." I hadn't really thought about it, but she's right. This newest batch still is One Man Show, just like the old bottle, but it does seem to be spicier, somewhat sweeter, but it is a subtle difference. The older bottle was much more dry by comparison. I find the newer bottle to be very nice indeed. One Man Show is, in my view, a total masterpiece. There's just nothing else even close to being like it. Plenty of people comment about how affordable it is, and that's true, but for what you get, it is astounding value. This fragrance develops and blooms in ways that so many fragrances ten times its price can't touch. I really need to go ahead and purchase another bottle of this formulation because it is that good. It is always going to be on my shelf.

It was the summer of 1997, I was 15, and a guy I had a crush on went on holiday to the US and brought me back One Man Show as a sign of his undying affection. It was the second perfume I loved, merely for the fact that it was given to me by an object of my affections at the time. He also had a bottle too, so at least we could smell the same while we pined over each other. It's a man's fragrance but it will always remind me of forbidden love and meaningful glances and love letters ferried secretly back and forth. (No texts or DMs or emails back then.) I remember this being very citrusy fresh and woody. The soundtrack to this fragrance would include What is Love by Haddaway, Be my lover by La Bouche, All that she wants by Ace of base and a little Queen of the Pack by Patra. The weather would be blazing hot, bright and cloudless with a slight breeze to cool off the fervor of puppy love. My house was broken into a few months after I received this and it was stolen. I was heartbroken. I could no longer smell like the apple of my eyes and my meager allowance didn't allow for perfume purchases. God I miss it. I see it everywhere in my country, for next to nothing too. I will probably end up getting this purely for nostalgic purposes to sniff once in while and be transported back to a time when I thought I would be forever young.

Man, this is some good stuff. Beautiful, super green chypre. Very well blended, so it doesn't smell as green as Drakkar Noire, for instance. It doesn't smell modern and up-to-date, but that's like complaining that the Mona Lisa doesn't look like a modern painting. This is a straight-up masterpiece fragrance from the house of Bogart, even in its current reformulation. The older version smells a little better, but not enough to actively seek it out. They're practically giving it away, so seek it out ASAP. Btw, the worthy flankers are Oud Edition and Gold Edition. Green Edition is not good and Ruby Edition is practically redundant with Gold Edition, but not quite as good. Oud Edition might be better than the OG but YMMV Update: This has become my daily cologne. I'm 42 for reference. After spending more time with the fragrance, I just love it more and more, even more than the Oud edition. The pine comes out immediately along with spices. I get cinnamon right off the bat. It dries down to a nice herbaceous woodiness. There’s noticeable leather in the drydown as well. This is a masculine cologne, devoid of the cotton candy sweetness that infects so many modern fragrances. 10/10 for me.

Nose Note #319 Man, oh man. What a beauty. My third entry into One Man Show line. Ruby Edition might be my favourite, but this is also a stunner. It has such potent presence - it's like THE thing you have been looking for in terms of a fragrance finally being strong enough. I'd say this could actually work in the summer, but in the cooler hours. This is in NO WAY synthetic or cheap or whatever. This is just pure greenness. This is like WWF of fragrances. All you need to know about this can be summarized in three words: green, bitter and strong. In all honesty, I don't understand why it hasn't yet got a second life of hype. I think some influencers should start a trend for the old fougieres. If Invictus is Justin Bieber, One Man Show is Mozart. I just can't stress enough of refreshing this is after 400+ fragrances... UPD after a year. Well, my initial excitement has worn off a bit, but I do agree that this is genuinely a good perfume. Now I have a good comparison to make. Imagine Paco Rabanne XS, but less like washine machine powder and more old school in the direction of Azzaro pour Homme. Almost nothing like Oscar la Renta Pour Lui 7.5/10

One Man Show precedes it's reputation as a fragrance with such substance and masculine backbone that the price to quality here isn't even funny. I bought a bottle for £13 + shipping and I'm pretty blown away by how wearable it is for something that's allegedly quite polarizing and retro, I was a little worried it would be a bit too funky or dry for me. And I can definitely see where it would divide buyers on the overall lack of gourmandy notes and the abundance of spices, aromatics and inclusion of animalic aromas. But I'm pleased to say that to my nose it's got a rugged nuance and different wearability that I liked about the classics - Zino, Drakkar Noir, Homme de Cafe, to name a few. To my nose, I get the green aromatics, sweet florals with a good amount of spiciness and this oddly alluring funky, balsamic muskiness on the drydown. It gives sort of a carnal attractiveness akin to the smell of skin, along with freshly ironed clothing. I really hope more people of my generation (Gen Z) start warming up to classics like this as well since the oldies are some of the best and most robust fragrances I own!

I enjoy Bogart's Signature so I got this one based on reviews. I grew fast to like One Man Show almost as much as Signature - it's a very nice scent, and amazing value/quality for the money. It finely rides the line between "old man cologne" and actually wearable stuff. Cold Spicy freshness, dry soapiness, aromatic Pines, some Greens, and a kick of Oakmoss with Leather/Woods if you stick your nose into it. Smells much more pleasant at a hands reach. I wouldn't call it a Chypre but more of a mix with Fougere. It's Masculine and Rugged, but not Macho. It's Refined, but not Old. It's not what I was lead to believe, but an actually nice fragrance to wear on most occasions. Men 30 and older. You can pull this off if you're younger, but you have to look the part. Ladies probably won't appreciate it in either categories, unless old-school men's fragrances get "cool" and rejuvenated again, like vynil. In the age of simplifying perfumes with just 3 notes, and clones of clones all around, the quality bouquet of masculine notes you get in Bogart Signature is a rarest treat of occasion.

Recently picked up a bottle of One Man Show (batchcode from 2023). It was a blind buy. I just had to get my nose on it. When I first tried it, I wasn't sure if I fully enjoyed it. After having it for a week, I'm addicted to the scent. It's very PINE in the opening! Very green, herbal and spicy. There's musk and leather notes shining through...dashes of an ashtray. It animalic. I own a vintage bottle of Polo Green, and One Man Show smells nothing like it to me (besides the pine). One Man Show is dirty...but a good dirty. It's unapologetically masculine. It's actually a fresh scent, which I believe can be worn year round! I was expecting it to be a winter only fragrance, so I was quite surprised. This 2023 bottle has above average projection and longevity, too. Perhaps, it will further improve upon sitting now, after I've used it several times. Even if it remains, it's an absolute steal for the $25 CAD that I paid. Doesn't smell cheap or synthetic. Smells niche. I will keep this in my lineup going forward!

This fragrance is one of my most beloved and nostalgic one that ever exists this thing is verry masculine and am loving it so much this is my signature one besides Dior Fahrenheit edt,this thing is woody ,citrusy ,green and chypre and classic it has an animalic note thats make it more stronger but they reformulated sadly but it still powerful i would personally ride a Shelby AC cobra 1967 this thing and applying this one on the street. The longevity and projection on this one hell yeah and also a powerhouse in its time of release in 80s my dad used to wear this one in the 90s when i wear this fragrance i am feeling my self as a masculine man in my personality nowadays genz and alpha hate the old fragrances they love the trendy stuff but for me am from gen z and still loving this sh**t even the price is amazing nowadays And also much better than newer and quote did say: (old is gold) Bottle design:.10/10 The Smell:.10/10 The longevity:9/10 The projection:.8.5/10 The price:.10/10 Overall:9.5/10

Jacques Bogart One Man Show EDT is a truly classic, masculine and ambitious scent. When I first spray it, I encounter an intense, green and sharp opening; it has a confident air that almost reflects the strong perfume style of the 80s. Green notes such as basil, artemisia and oakmoss that follow one after another give this perfume the feeling of a powerful walk in nature. Towards the middle notes, leather and woody tones add a solid depth to the perfume. At this point, the perfume takes on a heavy but timeless charm. The musk and amber in the base notes warm up the scent even more, making it more intense and lasting. One Man Show is definitely not a scent that every man can wear; it is ideal for those who are confident, have a distinct style and like to attract attention. For me, it is a perfume that I can use in special moments or when I want to make a bold impression. With its strong and lasting structure, it is a truly unforgettable signature scent.

Johnny Cash’s signiture scent. This stuff may not be the strongest or longest lasting fragrance from its era (in current form) but by all means still stands tall & proud alongside powerhouse legends such as Kouros, Anteus, Drakkar, & Lapidus alike. The scent of One Man Show alone has enough presence to the point where one could ask “Is more power really the answer here?” (not always and certainly not here). This is a masterpiece through and through. Overall what I get from One Man Show is a creamy pine shaving foam juxtaposed by a very skanky and musky leather (castoreum). Classic 70s green meets 80s powerhouse funk. Clean yet dirty. Serious yet sensual. This stuff lives up to its name. Buyer beware: this scent is the balls and will not appease to enjoyers of ‘bleu de candy de beta elixir’ or whatevathafuk is sold today. One spray on the wrong man will have him on his way to the ER in a stretcher. You have been warned. Enjoy responsibly!

It’s a one man show in a bottle. A vintage gem, overlooked and accessible—a fragrance that teaches you patience and rewards the wise. What opens bold, closes with class. What starts loud, causes some to close their ears. but the shouting is only for a moment. Then once the show binds attention, it whispers a memorable tale. Now That’s character. Strong enough to demand attention, yet patient enough to reveal depth. Those who rush miss the story. Those who linger? They discover elegance, subtlety, and that unmistakable signature only time can unveil. Some will hang around long enough to find out that maybe it was some of the best $15 bucks they have ever spent. Goes on screaming but it quickly turns into a moderate whisper that lingers in the shadows. Damn I should have saved that line for something niche. 🤣 But hey. That means it does the job . Right ?

Fresh, spicy and green. I love it.👌🏾 It almost feels like a green tea kind of scent. There's so many notes, but blended masterfully. I am using a perfume oil inspired version. I feel like this can be worn all seasons and by all genders of a slightly mature bracket. Still testing the scent. Will give my updates as I give it full wears. So far 9.6/10.👍🏾 Update: I still love it, only that I underestimated it's strength. This stuff is nuclear and it's just an EDT. Wow. Also, I think this shouldn't be worn in extremely hot climates because it has some heaviness with some animalic nuances coming from the castoreum accord. Not a safe blind buy. The juice is green from my perfume oil so I wouldn't recommend applying this scent directly on clothes, lest they leave stubborn green stains on them. Go easy on application otherwise you might get a cold like I did.

7.5/10 Don't Bogart that scent, my friend! After buying into some of the fragrance hype at my late-40's peril, I decided to try some tested and true historical scents. One Man Show enters the chat at $10. I like the simple, clean, non-saturated, non-sweet sensibility of it. It definitely has been an eye-opener that I didn't expect, and while the drydown (which happens after about an hour) stays close to the skin, it just smells like you're fresh and clean. Magnificent! It doesn't last long, but spray away. EDIT - if you really get to overspraying this scent, it opens up into something really nice that brings out some of the middle notes. It also hangs around for 7hrs or so. Whether fewer or more sprays, this a scent I'm really comfortable wearing anywhere and is in the same general sphere as many of the LV Imagination dupes that I've tried.

#793 in my "Tour de Fragrance" When I was still keeping EDTs on the shelf I had nearly every scent on the "Reminds me of" list. I never owned this one because when I smelled it I smelled Bogart "Pour Homme" and "Bogart" which I already owned. But I gave both of those away to a men's shelter last Christmas, missed them, and this scent combines the best of both. It's very much a scent of the 80's, but for me it's more than nostalgia. It's my love for herbal, green, woody chypres. Scents like this, Versace L'homme, Quorum, De La Renta Pour Lui, can certainly come off smelling like Pine Sol. I mop the kitchen floor with Pine Sol. But this isn't Pino Sylvestre pine heavy, though this is potent for an EDT. I've mostly walked away from all the EDTS, colognes and fraiche, but I just can't quit a few of them, and this is one of those.

This one is still a favourite even though the initial ‘beast-mode’ nuclear blast is relatively short-lived. After just a few hours it’s little more than a skin-scent with a sweet, clean dry-down. No problem though, I just reapply as needed. Piney, soapy, woody, barbershop, super-masculine greatness. Very green. It’s true that some urinal cakes are apparently modelled after this benchmark fragrance, but that needn’t put you off. I assure you OMS smells fantastic and there’s the added bonus that it will certainly mask the smell of piss if that’s an issue for you. To me OMS is best suited to daytime wear in spring, summer and maybe autumn. It’s too fresh and cool for a winter scent IMO. Definitely well worth its modest price. There’s truly nothing quite like it.

OMS grew on me only gradually. Back in the day, I did not particularly like it, but now I can say I understand it and really love and enjoy the thing. Only now I can understand and appreciate the clever and nuanced balancing of herbal/green/bitter/sweet elements that it represents and makes it stand out. Yes, particular notes can be detected but the final aroma works "as a whole". I also find it traditionally manly without "ifs and buts" in an era in which the overdoses of tenacious and clearly "artificial" aromachemicals and sweet elements make everything smell more or less the same and unisex. It performs very well, radiates adequately and is inexpensive (without being cheap). What is not to like in this combo?

At first I wasn't sure if I'd like this scent. It's clean and musky at the same time, and on first spray it felt a bit artificial, almost like a cheap cologne from a general purpose store. But as it set it turned into an amazing masculine classic scent, something that just screams "dad scent". It doesn't smell like jovan musk or english leather or British Sterling per se but it gives me the feeling that it'd be a top pick for fans of those scents. It's not too overpowering but definitely noticable and gives a nice citrusy, woody, floral scent that exudes confidence. It's a cool guy scent for guys that are cool without trying. I feel like I need to buy a motorcycle and grow a mustache now.

This was my dad's signature scent. He died when I was 3, so I never knew him very well I learned about this cologne when I got a bottle of it when I was 13, and inherited a bunch of my dad's old stuff. I wore it regularly throughout that summer Fast-forward 15 years, and I had just recently bought another bottle of it after recently taking up cologne collecting as a hobby. One whiff of it, and... Oh my God... Memories came zooming back into my psyche at 100mph, there's no way to describe how I felt after smelling this cologne for the first time in 15 years RIP Pop, I know I'll never be even a fraction of the man that you were, but I just hope that I can one day be a halfway decent son

Green, clean, soapy, herbal spices and a hint of something that feels refreshing both in the air and on my skin. One Man Show was ubiquitous throughout my youth. This and fragrances like this are what a lot of men used to wear, and they smelled good wearing them! The nice thing is that it still smells the way I remember it. A lot of iconic fragrances are currently a shadow of their former selves but Jacques Bogart has managed to keep this one very respectable. I will just add that castoreum is a love it or hate it kind of note. Some people find it utterly repulsive so I understand why it's disappeared in modern perfumery. Frankly, I can't get enough of the effect it creates here.

Persistence took more than 2 days for me. I squeezed 1 blow on the seat cushion. More than 2 days, its smell came to my nose at certain intervals and a smile formed on my face as I heard the smell. A fragrance of niche perfume quality. I have used many perfumes, none of them have affected as much as OMS. Jacques bogart oms is charismatic, gentleman, dignified and smells like royalty. A balanced, fresh fragrance with very rich notes. It can be used in 4 seasons. yes, it is a scent that is not very sweet, but the sweetness is only felt lightly at the bottom note, which is sufficient. My signature is my scent. Under 35 may not like it. I just fainted.

This is a 10/10 for me. My favorite colognes are Open, Quorum, Aramis, Jacomo de Jacomo etc.(I know, there's a theme here) One Man Show fits in perfectly with what I like. Green and spicy opening dries down to a wonderfully earthy, slightly smoky leather, that also retains some barbershop soapiness. I enjoy it in the heat of summer, through the winter. It is not an overwhelming powerhouse to me, though my bottle is new, not vintage. Scent stays present, but close to my skin after a couple of hours. Leave all those fancy schmancy niche frags at the door, One Man Show has stepped in and all eyes are on him. For well under 20 bucks no less.

My father had this fragrance in the distant eighties. I thought and think it was incredibly pleasant. The perfume has changed over the years. It is definitely not as persistent, less diffuse and, in my opinion, there is less violet in it. But despite the not very successful reformulations, this is a magnificent, ageless, classic fragrance! I wear it with pleasure sometimes. For me, it is more about an autumn rainy day. With the years, there are fewer and fewer similar fragrances. And One Man Show becomes rare and extraordinary, against the background of oversweetened perfumes and "freshies" smelling of sour sweat.

This is one of the classic aromatic 80's fragrances. So nice. Very aromatic and spicy, with citrus in the form of bergamot in the opening. Pine shines through, but the whole thing is such a complex mixture of smells, it's difficult to pick out anything in particular. Ends up being soapy and slightly dirty. A very intoxicating fragrance. Look for vintage variations, which are a little better. The new juice is good too, and can be had for around $15 for 100/ml. An absolute bargain in perfumery.

For men. Great stuff, nice soapy barbershop herbal spicy floral woody resinous leathery chypre with amazing performance only modern synthetics could provide. It can be harsh at the first spray, but this is one that you need to spray every often to get used to the beast, tame it if you will, before taking out for a walk. 3 sprays should be enough for a good while - they will last forever on your clothes. One on the chest, one on the back of the neck and one near the sack for good luck.

One Man Show, stunning 80s chypre and I love it, just wish it lasted longer, 10-12hrs on my skin, lasts days on clothing as well, which I love. Green, pine, mossy, leather, soapy, herbal, earthy, powdery, old school, work of art. I will never be without this juice, its part of me now and yes I have drank it once! I have tried similar frags from this genre, but for me this is the best there is, best there was and best there ever will be. Bogart Group criminally underrated.

Very masculine in the 1980 Vintage formulation. The notes inside are of great quality and my almost 24 yr old bottle has held up nicely. I put it on at 4pm and I can still smell it 16hrs later! All u can say is great quality and the base is when this fragrance really shines. The green animalic notes anchor the entire composition and I just can't see the current stuff holding up as well. There are just far too many roadblocks in the way. Long live Vintage formulations

I'm a freak, I like the opening but can't stand the dry down, the dry down is ambery spicy sweet something like red bubblegum which for me has no place in a green fragrance, if they substituted that the amber for tonka or iris this would be 10 times better, not overtly masculine the sweetness in the dry down kills it. I purchased two first formulation vintage bottles and I must say it's everything I've come to expect. This fragrance is tailor-made for bankers and office jockeys. It is civilized and it means business. It is mostly masculine but with a trace of feminine softness and spice, almost reminiscent of baby powder. It is great for closing a deal or making a presentation to a mixed audience. Careful, though. This one is dynamite and anything more than two sprays is bound to choke out the room. A dab'll do ya.

NOT like versace l'homme, versaces opening is citrusy and herbal but not in the funky way like one man show, its more astringent, and its dry down is dusty and dry with a prominent rose-cinnamon-leather combo with a dry vanilla whereas one man show is green and soapy with a dry coconut and slightly animalic leather. This is MUCH more like oscar de la renta pour lui, pur lui is its fresher cousin.

I'm a woman but i love this one. It's a strong chypre with a masculine twist. But i think most chypre are unisex because both man and woman have almost the same smell if it's labelled as a chypre. Longtivity and projection are above moderate at least at my skin. Big yes for me. Not as good as Bijan for men my absolute number 1 chypre but this comes second together with Elixer for women. 😊

A beast on me but a good one. fresh, pine and soapy with a spice/smoke. I got noticed by my father in law. Someone has been showering he said, so a good soapy/woody smell with smoke/spice on me. Go easy on the trigger with this one. Perfect for wintertime like now, in summer it can be a bit too much. long lasting with good sillage, for me a very nice scent and very cheap 9/10

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 021 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased May 2017 This one for sure blew my mind. Very animalic for me at the time but yet so much pine and greenery surrounding the aura. Not a pleaser, but it's sold to those who want to be pleased. I'll raise my hand there. Wore it a lot when I got it.

I like this one mostly because of its manly simplistic way of pulling off that 80s 70s masculine hair chested gold chain feel while keeping itself clean and casual. It makes u want to head out to a club and say Daddy is here!!!! Which is true because I just became a Dad for the first time a few weeks ago! Beautiful memories. Beautiful fragrance.

I remember my Mom bought this fragrance for my Dad and that's when I learned of this Fragrance, I've seen the box numerous times but never thought of buying it, but after I smelled it on my Dad, I was shocked at how good it smells, I didn't think I'd like it, I bought this twice and I think I'll buy it again in the future.. I just bought my third bottle today and it seems like I love it more than ever. The middle notes and base notes has the heavy notes, which may explain why it's long lasting. As it mellows down, I smell soap, kinda has that Deodorant Soap scent to it, which is great. I just sprayed a little on and I just can't stop sniffing... Smells Great 👍👍👍👍

Incredible masculine perfumery. It covers all bases: Scent, Sillage, Performance, Masculinity and Price. This is one of those rare instances where a fragrance from the 80s still smells and performs so good even after countless reformulations. Heck, they even kept the 1980s price tag. I love the house of Jacques Bogart.

In your face! Fresh pine, harsh leather and spicy carnation! I love this! It makes me feel strong and get things done. Also my gym-scent. If I am not in mood for workout I just spray this and five minutes later I can lift the world. I don ́t care if you don ́t like this. I DO, and this is a one man show!

One man show was one of my favorite chypre and green colognes l wore in the 80's in school, discos and partying. I got a new bottle two months ago. It transported me back to the happy days of the 80's as a student. This is reformulated and weaker now but l am glad l have it back. One of the best.

This thing is a beast. If you’re into perfumes. Get this. I smelt this in france and I know it’s difficult to test. It’s a beast. It’s just a beast and really masculine. It’s got a lot of energy. I like it more than quorum and stuff like that. It’s good. I wish I could smell signature as well.

An amazing deal for 12 €s shipped! It might not be as strong without real oakmoss but it is indeed impressive how Bogart still can make this to be so good for so little money for the end consumer. This I wrote before having tried vintage 85%-version. Which is much richer and with castoreum.

This is great. Old school scent. The opening is fresh, soapy, clean, and very pleasant. The drydown stays a nice fresh pine/spicy/woody/leather/floral smell but just a touch powdery. Longevity and sillage are very good. Really masculine too. I really like this.

I've got more than 50 fragrances now, some of them expensive or the best dupes of expensive fragrances. And One Man Show is for sure among my top 5! I reach for it more than my also old school Azarro. Manly, addictive, cheap, soapy and dirty at the same time.
