Santana Bay

For me,the best recent release by Bogart,it has all what a new scent by them should be,freshness,sweetness,something old school and something newer;with this few usual notes you would say"bah,it is the run of the mill kinda fragrance found on the market for cheap",but,surprise,it is a gentle breeze passing of clean sheets,it is the sweet caress a blow of Spring wind brings to you,it is manly under all the gentleness.Some guy said it remembers a much simpler and maybe updated version of the mythical Background by Jil Sander,and i agree 100%.I suggest to try it with all my passion.

One of the best Bogart scents i've smelled. This juice hits hard! Fresh but dense, powerful, amazing performance, great price. There's a lot to love in it. Very masculine modern scent: sometimes these two concepts are not very correspondent, but Santana Bay pulls it off. I'd say this is a must-have in the "cheapie" category. It's an all-seasons wear too, so versatile. Grab it.

La Nuit de l’Homme, made for warmer days : less spicy, powdery. Still has the lovely Cardamom Lavender duo mixed with some soapy/laundry sheets aspects. Slightly spicy, powdery, spicy and fruity, plus never smells synthetic, even in the opening. Great creation

This is way too nice to be Discontinued! Fantastic fragrance, projects and has longevity. So happy to have it in my collection.

Longtime fan of the Jacques Bogart house of colognes here. Since there’s no full review with details here I thought to put some words here. With this stuff I am conflicted so it’s a love/hate thing for me and this bottle. Some random tough guy sent me some love letters in my DM’s here on Fragrantica because he took offence on one of my other reviews. Because of his low IQ level he couldn’t understand that a person can think a cologne smells decent, but then see other problems with a scent and give it an up and down review, apparently I’m bi-polar because I’m not black or white with my reviews. You’d think his mother made the bottle with how much he was defending the juice. It’s okay my guy, were allowed to have different opinions in life. To me this is a grey situation where there’s good’s and bad’s with this bottle. First things first the presentation and sprayer are top notch. The sprayer puts out a lot of juice upon spray and I like that. The opening doesn’t really display the notes in the pyramid like it should. I don’t really get the pineapple, but I do get citrus. I would say that the main stars in this juice are the labdanum, lavender, and vanilla. I payed $40 bucks off of Fragrantica and in my opinion this isn’t worth the scratch that I paid, but being a fan of the JB house I’ll follow them to ends of the earth with their releases. Where this stuff shines is in the dry down, and if I’m being honest here the dry down saved me from giving this bottle a shitty review. I’ve smelled this dry down smell somewhere before and it took me a bit to figure it out while going through my collection, but I figured it out. Hugo Boss Bottled Night/Hugo Boss Bottled, without the cinnamon aspect, and folks, this is a really good thing. It’s not a complete dupe, but the similarities in the dry down are astonishing in my books. Anyway, sorry for the novel but to me this is a decent release from the Bogart house, even if it’s a like and not a love. It won’t have the powerhouse performance some of the other bottles will have, but if you’re looking for something not as intrusive as their other stuff, and you’re a collector like me, then this stuff might be for you. This is definitely a summer scent, and I get between 3-5 hours while wearing this cologne. If I’m being honest it’s a refreshing departure from the JB house and a decent attempt for their entry the modern era colognes. For $40 bucks though I can get One Man Show Oud edition and Bogart that will last me all day with just 3 sprays. First impressions- Felt like I overpaid, but then didn’t feel so bad once the dry down took effect. Longevity- 3-5 hours Silage- In close Versatility- Decent Season-Summer Day or Night- Day Compliments- 2 unsolicited compliments Value- Not as good as other Jacques Bogart scents Repeat purchase- No, it’s a like not a love Personal rating- 7/10

I was able to find a French seller who had Santana Bay available and would ship to the USA. The key players here are lavender, vanilla and cardamom I'd say. It's a moderately sweet, soft, easy to wear type of scent. I don't pick out pineapple in this like I do in Story Green but perhaps it's contributing to the sweetness. I was hoping it would somehow have an aquatic feel to it by the presentation but it does not. Longevity is average, projection is avg/soft. I like One Man Show Emerald but this, along with Silver Scent Midnight, are fairly boring newer offerings from Bogart. I hope they get back on track and release some more bold, daring, interesting scents again soon.

Very nice. Beats many much more expensive scents. Blind buy was for me, with re-purchase in the future. Get it, you won't regret it. Maybe because of the smokey vetiver, but I even get a slight hint of sweet tobacco. Anyways, much love for me.

In read in the german equivalent of fragrantica (parfumo), that this one smells like the discontinued la nuit frozen cologne. is that true? i was a sucker for frozen la nuit lol.

Does anyone have a full or partial bottle they want to sell or trade for? I'd love even to try a decant of someone is willing to sell one!

Very decent clone of LNDLH Frozen Cologne. It pales in direct comparision, but with current price of Frozen it's great alternative.

The notes look boring. Let's hope I'm wrong and it's another "H" bomb diamond from Bogart!
