Silver Scent

I was first interested in sampling this fragrance when looking at the powerful longevity and sillage shown on fragrentica. For that price! I thought it was too good to be true. Also the ingredients looked very interesting, Litchi at base? had to check it out. This has definitely gone beyond my expectations. As most reviews here say, it smells like grape soda. I agree. A strong grape soda scent that, after 3 hours also introduces a nice woody background that gives the scent a bit more maturity, a bit more class, and a bit more depth. The scent starts out with a very powerful and one-dimensional smell of grape soda. I can't describe why it makes me feel this way, however it makes it smell a little immature. As explained above, that changes when the scent reaches the 3 hour mark. The grape soda smell however is always at the forefront. It lasted around 8 hours on me, 2 days on clothes. I sampled and bought this with a friend when we were just walking through the mall together. We both immediately got ourselves a bottle each. We are both in our early 20's. I would say this scent is made for a younger audience. Teenagers (perhaps not in school as projection is a bit much), and people in their early 20's. An older man could pull it off too. It's a fun fragrance and like I said above goes beyond expectations. To me, this is a top-tier niche fragrance in scent (it's original, special, great performance & sillage) but not in price. It is, in my opinion the best fragrance you can get below 100. It is unique so try before you buy, however if you envision the smell of grape soda in you're head, and you like the idea of it as a fragrance, then you are pretty much guaranteed to like Silverscent.

Silver Scent has an ultra-delicious and mega-powerful fragrance! Without a doubt, it is one of the special perfumes in my collection. It is strong from start to finish (although there is no end), with its bittersweet effect, which makes everyone ask: “what fragrance are you wearing?”. Its fragrance exudes, attracts, it makes you want to lick, it makes you smell yourself all the time, it's absolutely different and, at the same time, addictive. Some say the intriguing aroma comes from the mix of lemon and orange. Others say it smells like grapes. I can only remember that, when I met this perfume, the store saleswoman told me that she had undergone training for the launch and that it contained Calabrian orange. And that this note, along with the lychee note, generated the fabulous result of this fragrance. In fact, the fragrance combines notes of lemon and orange blossom, in addition to lavender, rosemary, nutmeg, coriander, wild geranium, and a touch of cardamom. Finally, it brings woods, vetiver, tonka bean, and lychee. After it started to become better known, Silver Scent came to be criticized a lot. For me, within what was proposed in 2006, when it was launched, it proved to be a marvel of the perfumery that, although it has a very synthetic aspect, exudes and lasts with perfection and ended up becoming very popular with the Brazilian male audience. I confess that its singular smell makes me selfish and, going back in time, I wish it had remained unknown and, consequently, less popular.

I own Silver Scent, and Silver Scent Deep. Somehow, the OG SS smells less vintage / more modern compared to SS Deep. To me, that’s interesting since SS was released way earlier (2006) before SS Deep (2014). I wrote a review for SS Deep before this because I bought Deep first before I bought SS. In comparison, both are sweet, but not that kind of gourmandish sweet, more to fruity fresh sweet. I feel SS Deep has a vintage nuance, while SS is interestingly still relevant to wear even now in 2024. That doesn’t necessarily means that SS Deep smells old and outdated, it’s that vintage feeling that might make it suits more to more mature men. I guess, that fact really suits the name, right? SS Deep is more suitable for those who want a similar scent like SS but with a twist that is more mature, deeper, more personality, & classier in some ways. And that what makes me think that the OG SS to me is easier to wear and more suitable to wear daily, while SS Deep is one to wear in the evening or more serious / professional situation. And I see a lot of you say that SS is just too sweet to wear in warmer weather. But I don’t know, I’ve tried it, and SS smells just fine in warmer weather. Indeed, it isn’t a typical fresh scent, but I do think it’s still safe to wear in summer. I really like this brand. I’m currently hunting some other releases of Bogart especially the Silver Scent line. Too bad they’re hard to find here in my country. Silver Scent 7.25/10 Silver Scent Deep 7.5/10

I walked out of Chemist Warehouse with Silver Scent on my hand, to check it with my skin chemistry, to meet my gf in the hair salon. I walked into a wall of compliments. Every woman in the salon was in awe. Walk out of the salon, a male stranger passes, walks back to me and taps me on the shoulder to ask what cologne I was wearing. That has never happened in my life. I intend to purchase the 200ml after my next pay period as well as the shave balm. Before smelling Silver Scent I would have thought I was outside of my mind to purchase a measly $30 fragrance. But I believe it is because I know my search for my perfect/signature scent is over. I will always have a few staples in the collection; Fahrenheit, Encre Noire, Dior Homme Intense for romantic evenings. But I can never see myself liking anything more, or feeling anything suits who I am better than Silver Scent. And I must say, it is a beautiful thing. This is the best fragrance I have EVER smelled. Breathtakingly beautiful and seductively powerful.

I enjoy the smell. Nothing fancy, but comforting. I got a compliment as soon as I stepped into work today, and I don’t get them often. Probably because I’m a “less is more” type of guy on the trigger these days. So regardless on whether or not Silver Scent has been reformulated, I can absolutely attest that it’s still a beast mode scent, as I can also smell it on myself pretty much all day as well, whereas most of the time nose blindness usually sets in if my skin hasn’t already eaten it up. Clean, sweet, grape soda vibe, as others have mentioned. I can also get small whiffs of teakwood poking through the fruit here and there. There’s a reason why this one spawned almost half a dozen flankers.....It’s a winner, and it’s the same type of humble Bogart DNA that their brand has built itself on for decades. One Man Show flanker fans should dip their toe into this line. It’s a fun freshy for any age group, and like most Bogart releases, it will only grow on you the more you wear it.
