Bel Ambre

Bel Ambre is a sweet amber scent with a nice powdery texture and leather undertone. It reminds me of scents like MFK Grand Soir and Amouage Material, but is more subtle and has a little more going on. BA is a sweet amber scent from initial spray, with some saltiness evident from the beginning, making for a well-rounded amber accord. The vanilla note is powdery and dry, the way I like it, melding with the amber from the beginning. There is an aromatic green undertone, a nice if subtle counterpoint to the amber. The powdery orris note follows after a little while, slightly earthy and rooty, the perfect accompaniment to the sweet amber. Iris is my favourite note, and its placement here is lovely, if a little subtle for my liking! The caraway adds sweet spice, marrying beautifully with the vanilla and iris in particular. Some vetiver adds dry woodiness here, subtle and seamless. It becomes softly musky as it dries down, the amber accord becoming increasingly leathery. It fades to a powdery, musky vanilla-amber skin scent with an aromatic herbal edge that feels masculine to me. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a unisex sweet amber scent, best worn in autumn/winter. Smooth and elegant throughout, BA is a subtle, inoffensive example of a sweet amber scent with some points of interest, notably the use of orris. It is very well-blended throughout, good-quality and immensely pleasant. 4/5.

Juniper berries introduce amber, spice, and musk with an aged old leather undertone that is kept young by the Vetiver. There's a rich booziness to it, too. I don't perceive much citrus although it must be there to balance out the denser notes. I want to say there's something like cumin in it due to the ever so slight funk that comes and goes, but that's more likely the effect of the caraway. I need more than a sample of this, and if you're a deep amber/musk/leather fan, you will, too.

I am a huge amber perfume fan. Most Amber perfumes typically stay sweet and heavy. I'm really enjoying this one because it's a light-hearted, powdery amber. The top notes are amazing when first sprayed..its like a symphony...so beautiful. When dry, orris keeps it powdery and base notes are present without hijacking the entire fragrance. Leather is not heavy by any means, so if you dont like leather in perfumes, dont let this note scare you off...its detectable, but soft.

I love Orris and here its mixed with soft, mild Amber. Beautiful. Sensual. Elegant. Mystic. Not a typical male scent. Not a typical female scent. A bit sweet, A bit skinclose, A bit teaseing and a bit ghostly dancing around you. Love Love Love Samplekit

Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised, this is an absolutely stunning amber perfume with delicate, mysterious powder notes. Can't get enough of this one. Warm and spicy scent, perfect for Autumn dates and winter walks. Beautiful amber!!

The pour homme version is great but in it's own way. I feel that this is slightly more airy and not quite as dense as the pour homme. I have both and don't think it would be a redundant purchase. Just my humble opinion...

It's Le Lion de Chanel shot with a tranquilizer gun and blinded with talc. Very, very strong...don't overspray. It's a bit powdery for me, but it is a very good amber. Super high quality and affordable.

Man on man this is good. One of the best sweet ambers I have ever experienced. Got a 200ml bottle for 55.00 and I stole it for that much. 10/10

A gorgeous rich amber sitting in the same lounge as Prada's Amber Intense pour homme, will be a lovely replacement when I run out of that.

Incredibly beautiful combination, warm amber with powdery iris nuances. Smells really good, but does not last much unfortunately.

Bel...profumo! Una base di ambra cruda,naturale e sottile accompagnata da pelle,orris e muschi puliti con un pizzico di pepe che si amalgama in modo saggio come una seconda pelle. The atmosphere is quiet, light, almost introverted, crossed by that note that recalls chamomile. Vivace solo in apertura con ginepro,cumino e un po di limone rende questo profumo unisex. Molto versatile non proietta troppo ma dura a lungo. Saggio ma non old-style lo trovo molto adatto di giorno grazie ai sentori freschi,puliti e soapness. Inoffensivo,buono per l'ufficio ma va bene in qualsiasi ambiente ad eccezione delle palestre... Non venderei uno dei miei reni per questo ma e' ben fatto,ha charme e se ti piace l'ambra vale la pena di essere provato...con sniffate lunghe e rilassate.

On the blotter this is a very present citrus-floral-amber with bergamot and what I thought was freesia and osmanthus, but is mysteriously labelled white flowers. It's a honking loud opening, interesting though. On skin it develops into a lovely, heady amber, reminding me of the Chanel Exclusifs floral chypres like 31 Rue Cambon . Smooth, thick, uniform, solid, hovering above my arm, though fuzzier and much less varnished than the Chanels. Sadly within the hour it gets very powdery — too much for me — and it becomes more of a powder–floral with the amber taking a step back. Still sophisticated and interesting but not my thing.

Aromatic leather amber. Fresh and spicy top mixed with some nondescript white florals, a modest powdery iris, and a soft ambery leather base. Has a bit of a rough texture from all the pepper, not quite completely blunted by the light sweetness. Moderately strong projection fades over 2-3hr, longevity 8-10hr.

This perfume is for amber lovers. It is warm, sensuel, powdery, 100% unisex... I can smell amber, iris, spices and a touch of leather. Perfect with cold days, in the middle of winter. The sillage and longevity are moderate with my skin. 6/10

This is a warm, introspective fragrance. Sweet, full-bodied amber with a helping of powdery orris and a hint of vetiver. Comforting, enveloping, second skin feel that exudes confidence.

Cinnamon, saffron, iris, orris, and junipers. It's a sweet iris blend with slight peppers. Quite interesting and sophisticated.

Supposedly Ambre driven All I get is a different take on Dior homme the original with less chocolate and more spices specifically black pepper Yes I received a compliment from my significant other which I rarely get but I felt the fragrance was ok I didn’t enjoy it TBH It seemed acceptable and bearable but if I had to choose a similar dna I would definitely go with the Dior homme iris line Twice as good as this one and costs almost the same Not a contender for my cupboard of honor just another scent to Try

An airy non-sweet amber, perfectly unisex, perhaps leaning slightly masculine. There’s a disturbing note in the very beginning- rubber? I’ve tried this a few times but I have found that it’s not my thing. I don’t see the Shalimar resemblens.

God this smells like cheap drugstore cologne in a very bad way ! 😤 I love amber and I never though amber could smell so not refined and not classy, that must have been quite a challenge to manage making amber smell so cheap !! How can a house like Fath sell this mediocre juice, not to mention non existent sillage and longevity !!! 😡

I've never been keen on amber,still I can't deny the excellence of this perfume; It smells very chic,high-class and well balanced. I immediately detect orris and leather, mixed with some lemon. Actually it smells a little like Kelly Caleche; but unlike kelly Caleche it doesn't have a cold nature;It's warm and welcoming and also provocative and of course has got loads of amber. I can imagine it on both men and women which proves its androgynous power. Highly recommended in cases you want to feel strong ,effective and influential.

Bel Ambre by Jacques Fath is a sophisticated duet of amber and leather, touched by sparkling citruses, creamy flowers and spices. This fragrance is warm, although it contains a note of coolness (due to juniper berries, citruses and amber itself). Its sweetness has the right grade, so it is unisex. This masterfully blended creation of Cécile Zarokian is absolutely worth a try, when you are an amber lover. And when you are not, there is a chance you‘ll become one after trying it. Il porte bien son nom il est très agréable, on sent bien le genévrier l ambre et l iris très doux le mélange donne l’impression qu’il y a de l’absinthe 8/10 en plus j’ai pris, ils sont vraiment raisonnables et les parfums Jacques fath sont très agréable à porter. Ce n’est pas comme toutes ces marques de niche qui copie sur d’autres Parfum2 créateur et qui vous vendent ça à 300 €, c’est du n’importe quoi.

I don't think anyone can say a bad thing about this perfume; a sweet(but not too sweet), vanillic, slightly powdery, amber with a touch of musk. Nice, but not outstanding in any way, apart from the fact that it's actually very well priced for the quality you're getting. Feminine leaning. Good longevity and projection.

This is a regal scent that reminds me of a luxury hotel in Las Vegas. Side notes: Preferably worn during the evening and for a formal event. Also... if you're still here with me at this point... this may be bottle worthy based off first impressions, but spending time with a fragrance first is always recommended.

A very smooth amber with a prominent dark purple orris note augmented with a bit of tangy citrus and vetiver. There's a slight herbal vibe from the caraway but it's very faint. Unisex. Quite inoffensive as far as ambers go.

To me this fragrance is a pure scent of a lipstick! Do I want to smell as a lipstick or cosmetic powder for those money- NO, thanks!
