Eau de Fath

This smells like a watered down version of the 1993 version of Fath de Fath, but unlike that scent this one smells very synthetic from beginning to end. It has a strange plastic note that is very jarring. I purchased it because the notes looked promising and I wanted to see what this brand did with Iris, especially since this house created Iris Gres, an icon by which all other iris fragrances are often compared. Apparently incomparable with this perfume, as I get zero iris here. Do yourself a favor, just stick with the '93 or earlier version (if you can find it). This is an unremarkable chemical mess that's not even worth the best offer price I paid. It is really that bad.

Sorry-this is not quite a review but I remembered an old Jaques Fath perfume called Canasta.It was given to my mum as a present ( some 40 years ago!), it was actually prefume ( not EDP).It came in a most beautiful small bottle in a round velvety box of burgundy colour.She hardly ever used it and it was always living in the same drawer.Few years back I discovered that my stupid brother threw it away ( influenced by his even mores stupd wife) in an effort to de-clutter my mums home.I would have loved to have it. Does anyone even remember it at all? I still remember the smell <3
