Jasmin de Toscane

A really fresh, bright and uplifting light jasmine. I bought it in Paris and on first full wearing today in the UK, my partner called it "fresh, green shoots" and I totally agree. When I saw there was freesia it made a lot of sense, as the opening is very white floral leaning green (e.g. freesia/lily of the valley vibes), dewy spring like and natural. The jasmine kicks in but it retains the light, photorealistic sense of the opening. There is a general non--descript fruity vibe which rounds out the florals. Longevity and sillage are pretty good, and it doesn't smell like anything else I own. Fantastic for spring and early summer.

Testing my sample; this is a lovely realistic jasmine, leans sweet and bright despite the briskness of the fragrance's opening. Warms up a bit on the skin, but it feels like you're wearing a small cloud of jasmine. Warm and hot weather is best for scents like this. I'd definitely get a full bottle of this.

Fresh floral fragrance, realistic white flowers. It reminds me of my stephanotis in bloom. It’s heady, citrusy and petitgrain adds something slightly green. Amber envelops the jasmine, and it’s not a heavy masculine amber, it’s bright and feminine. I don’t get any hazelnut, only white flowers and citrus.

Non-indolic, realistic, stunning jasmine. If you like white florals, this is a must try.

At first it was an unremarkable jasmine, nice but weak, just a slightly pleasant skin scent, then it went through a middle phase I didn't care for, possibly the non-sweet hazelnut which can be a challenging note, and when that faded I thought that was the end, but then later when my skin warmed up in the afternoon it suddenly came roaring back as indolic as Boclet Cocaine, creating a scent bubble of heavy, fleshy white florals. I never got the grape soda effect others have mentioned, although I do get that from some other jasmine fragrances.

This one reminds me of lots of tuberose-centered fragrances. I thought it would smell like jasmine shrubs that grow in Tuscany (if you love that smell too try Mugler’s Alien or Korres’ Cashmere Kumquat). Turns out jasminum sambac ‘Grand duke of Tuscany’ has nothing to do with those. It’s an Arabian jasmine variety, very sweet and opulent smelling. Too sweet for me, with grape juice undertones. Well made, just not for me.

First Spray Impressions: Hmm - right after spraying the jasmine stands out but there is something else that just smells animalic and is somewhat offensive. But then, after a little time, the offensive fragrance gives way to more jasmine, then softens into a sweet white floral, somewhat creamy and very approachable. For me, however, this is a pass.

This smells very 1980s vintage women's perfume. Smells like strong Jasmine and a ton of sugar. Very strong and projects. I don't dislike but can't wear this.

Freesia, grapefruit, and petitgrain create an almost bitter, grape soda accord - a sweet, juicy, and penetrating artificial grape smell. The jasmine absolutes follow and amplify it. This is the sweet, concentrated jasmine sambac, jasmine grandiflorum, and jasmine sambac triple flower absolute. Even the green aspects are represented. It does come off a bit artificial smelling though. It lasts very long as this laser beam jasmine concentrate. I don't like some synthetic aspect that periodically crawls in, it turns me off. And still no basenotes. The next day it's still an overly sweet jasmine laser beam.

Beautiful photorealistic jasmine forward scent. You definitely must enjoy jasmine to like this but this is not the indolic kind of jasmine. It has great performance, strong for the first 3-4 hours then settles closer to the skin. It’s a very pretty scent that I kept getting whiffs of as I went about my day. One man even told me I smelled great. I bet this is going to smell even better come summer time. There is a sweetness about this fragrance but it’s not overly sweet. The sweetness is coming from citrus and it has just the right amount that keeps the fragrance feeling uplifting and youthful. I blind bought it and I think it’s a safe BB for a jasmine lover who’s not looking for something indolic. I don’t get much nuttiness from this but I’ve only worn it a few times. Mostly it is jasmine, more jasmine and sweet citrus elements.

Extremely strong, natural & photorealistic Jasmine scent. If you like florals in general there is plenty of magic here. Three-dimensional and showcasing all the facets of the flower - sweet, fruity, green & musky with subtle indolic nuances without getting too dirty. Punchy at the start then as it settles more of a honeyed sweetness comes through. Elegant, modern take on Jasmine than can be appreciated by anyone who enjoys floral fragrances.

I enjoyed spraying this on every morning of the past year, 2023. It smells beauiful and seems to be made of high quality fresh florals. It was not noticeable to others unless they came close to me in an embrace and they liked the smell and told me so. It has a full bouquet - starting in a burst and drying down to a warm, complex smell. Highly recommend!

It's alright! Will probably return. I like how the jasmine smells in here, but it's smothered in sugar. It's wayyy too sweet, like sickly sweet. Opening blast gives off cough syrup. Why's it so hard to find a white floral that's neither bone-dry chalky powder nor grape soda diabetic beast...need something in between lol.

I think what others are describing as "animalic" is the hazelnut. It's not sweet here, kind of more on the savory side, and when combined with the indolic depth of the jasmine, can read as "offensive" (not to me lol). It's not the wholly pretty, sparkling chilly jasmine you'd expect, and I'd venture to guess that's it.

This is lovely if you love jasmin. It’s modern and natural smelling and very long lasting. I highly recommend it if you love jasmin. It reminds me of Chloe edp for the vibe. Like if Chloe was more Jasmin based and niche.

Jasmine has a very critical place in my heart and for me, the jasmines here are too postmodern. Using all that jasmine and ingredient to create a lively bubble gum scent... Idk. If I were a jasmine, I'd be pissed.

I am still testing it but I was expecting something different from the notes, something more nutty. I can smell mostly jasmine. I did not compare it side by side but I get the new J'adore L'Or vibe.

Reminds me of Air Freshener which makes sense because of the prominent Jasmine notes.

Hmm...slowly coming around to it. Maybe not a return? Might be nice to layer with...

Not even close to L'Interdit. Sweer jasmin with amberwood. Pass.
