Musc Couture

Just got my bottle today shipped from France from official website. US dealers still don't have this unfortunately so had to pay for shipping and customs ( hurts a little lol). On first spray I loved it. Very distinctive fruity musk. I can smell the banana, the cherry. The musk supposed to be in the dry down but you can smell it right away. Clean but fruity musk. To my nose is very pleasant. The banana note is very prominent for an hour or so until the orris in the base kicks in. I can smell the cherry as well, just a bit overpowered by the banana. Dry down is light, comfortable, vetiver and ambrette together give a little touch of green but all is grounded by the musk, vanilla and raspberry. Stays fruity till the end on my skin but more tonned down and subtle.To me is quite innovative and have not smelled anything like this in a while. Such a lovely fragrance. This is a fragrance that I can wear almost all year, just not in super hot sticky summer days.

Wearing it today and it's mesmerising. Pure joy for musky and fruity scents lovers. It's stripped of soapiness which I try to avoid in scents and heavy on soft fuzzy musk in the base that lasts for ages. Sillage here is very moderate and done in such way that you smell polite and refined at the same time. Longevity is very good. On clothes it can gently humm in the air around you for several days. The overall composition is very unique and leaning more girly, making it an outstanding present for ladies this holiday season, without breaking a bank. After my mini bottle is done I'm coming back for more.

The scent of a happy social butterfly. Beautiful, elegant, strong, clean but sensual, it leaves a trail of joy. The perfume to wear for parties, events or simply to get in a good mood. Very original and at the same time, quite familiar. A lovely creation

First of all, this is a very beautiful scent, starting with a fresh notes and giving some silk vibes, during the day, but it's also very synthetic. If you put it in a warm weather it may give you some plastic notes.

Musky and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. It’s a pretty fragrance.

Musc Couture is a very pleasant, less abrasive and more wearable F. Malle Acne Studios, in my opinion. The primary accord I get is fresh linen, fabric softener, dryer sheet clean. Yes, there is a very pleasant fruity accord from the cherry and red banana, but it is subtle and gracefully interwoven into the more dominant linen/laundry accord. For me, Musc Couture is more of a daytime only fragrance. Casual, for errands and social situations. I think it leans ever so slightly feminine, but that is debatable. It is the type of fragrance that will adjust and allow the wearer to guide the fragrance's persona. Performance is average ... not wonderful, and not horrible. The Ambertonic helps with this. After all, Jean-Cristophe has been nicknamed the "Ambroxan King" by his colleagues at IFF. Additionally, although Musc Couture does not smell anything like Chanel’s Jersey (which I love), I would wear this in the same situations. I really like Musc Couture. It is lovely. 4.2 from me

Surprisingly, despite a very appealing note pyramid, something feels a bit off... The banana and cherry come across as overly syrupy, almost pushed to the point where they blur into dense white florals. It ends up being too cloying for my taste, settling into something that reminds me of inexpensive wafers with a fruity filling. There’s a noticeable artificial edge, along with a strangely familiar undertone I can’t quite place, like a mixture of a couple of fragrances on a shirt you wore a few days. For me, Maitre Couturier Extrait D’atelier captures the scent of a tailor’s workshop perfectly - it’s my benchmark for that atmosphere. Those who enjoy sweet-musky compositions may well appreciate it.

Tried it at Esxence 2025 - AMAZING! Can’t wait to get it. However it comes out in September to masses, to professionals possibly a bit earlier. I am suffering to wait that long! But no doubt will be pre-ordering. It is an elegant interpretation of musc and powder - fresh, sharp, elegant. Could compare it to musc de Suoi by Van Cleef but with brighter accord of raspberry. Very elegant! I’d say - ditch your Chanels, once this one is out , it is a new modern take on classics. Edit 13!10/2025: got a bottle about a month ago (mid-September), and it feels quite soft to me now. I’d describe it as deeply, comfortably warm—less sweet than I initially expected. By association, it reminds me a little of Parfums de Marly Athalia or Safanad, but with less sweetness, perhaps leaning more in the direction of Valiant by Boadicea the Victorious. It’s a lovely, comforting scent—especially suited for colder months. Is it unique? Not particularly; perhaps the only distinctive touch is the red banana note in the pyramid, which gives it a slight mental twist (can I tell that this is a red banana if I haven’t known it’s there - probably not). Interestingly, when I tested it at the exhibition, I remember perceiving a crisper / almost aldehydic musk. Now that I own a full bottle, that musky sharpness feels softer and more subdued.

Jean-Christophe strikes again in his latest collaboration with Jacques Fath. This is the first fragrance after his trilogy of hazelnut themed fragrances which goes in a new direction and boy is it a good one! Musc Couture is a clean musk par-excellence where blending and elegance reach new, near unimaginable heights. Where this fragrance differentiates itself from others in the genre is how the melange of fruity notes is woven through the cleanness to keep things fresh and bright. Red banana, cherry and raspberry is what you're going to smell around the opening which creates a beautiful liqueur-like effect. It's not sweet in the typical way you'd expect from these notes, it's like someone used cherry fragranced fabric softener and you're sniffing crisp laundry as it comes out the dryer. The core arrangement of musks compliments this fruityness to perfection, nothing is overdone - it's not too powdery, creamy or sweet. It just smells clean, comforting and highly original. Brilliant work!

It smells nice, fruity and musky, with cleverly implanted vetiver in the base.There is something very familiar in this. Maybe I have a smell memory of something similar, because it smells like someone else's perfumed clothes, and it feels very out of place on myself. Maybe after wearing it more, it becomes more "me", but now it doesn't.

Reminds me of Women in Gold by Kilian & Oriana by PDM. They both have this effervescent sparkling quality. This leans more feminine in my opinion although that is subjective. If you love the above mentioned DNA you will definitely fall in love with this.

I love the sound of this so I pre-ordered it thinking it would be maybe a month or two until it’s release but website states it comes out in August/September... lol 🙃
