Jaguar For Men Oud

4.27 score for a $15 fragrance is pretty cool. This opens with a full cedar, an aromatic light barnyardy oud accord, and a bit of mentholation. Within a few minutes, a dry cinnamon (like the whole sticks you can buy) joins, along with a touch of varnish. At 40 minutes, a light but tarry leather joins a slight increase in sweetness and a pinch of patchouli. The mentholation has moved toward a peppermint note, but it is more perceived in a slight cooling of the eyes and skin than as a smell. That's a bit bold, since these notes don't generally play well together, but it works here. The oud is western style and blends nicely with the cedar, leather and patchouli. Along with Jaguar for Men and Prive, this is a good one, and well worth the price of admission. Edit: Have worn this several more times in the last several months. The "oud" is a cross between barnyard and doctor's office, which is the perfect balance for western ouds. The leather gains a light smokiness later in the wearing. This is really impressive, would probably be great for a date night, and is safe for the office. WADR to the prior reviewer, for something at this price level, 6 hours of performance is more than adequate, as you can spray another 5 cents worth to get another 6 hours. The value to price ratio of this is one of the best you will find anywhere. Certified hidden gem, even at three times the price.

This is far better than I expected for the price. I own Jaguar Red which is very nice but lacks any kind of staying power. You really have to over spray it and even then it doesn't last more than an hour on me. Jaguar Oud, however, is a beast. Long lasting with decent projection for a couple of hours. Initially I didn't pick up much of the notes, just a sweet Oud scent. The sprayer doesn't quite atomise the fragrance well enough. After putting some I to a pocket atomiser I was able to pick out more of the spices and it changed how I feel about it. This is gorgeous, manly and makes me think of some old school fragrances like CK Obsession for Men and even a little Aramis. It's strong and the Oud is undeniable, so if Oud isn't your thing then skip it. But if you like Oud, spices and earthy vibes then it's definitely worth trying. #997 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is for the EDP version, not the EDT. If I had tried this at the beginning of my fragrance journey I might not be here coming up on 1000 reviews, because if I had found something that smells this good and performed this well for $15 I might have just stopped there, called it good, and bought that BMW by broker kept nagging me to buy. This is a good scent if it were 5X the price. Western oud, a warm cedar note that doesn't smell like pencil shavings, just a hint of bergamot, synthetic of course as my runny nose is telling me (it stops in a few minutes), that unmistakable something you only get with papyrus. Can't possibly offend anyone in a close space, so office, casual, date nights. Moderate performance. You could sub this for Polo Oud (Also a mild oud scent). It's cheap and doesn't smell like it.

This is manly. Its sweet, woody, spicy / peppery scent. Very long-lasting. I sprayed it on my arm, took a shower, and used soap and a washcloth. I could still faintly smell it out of the shower. Love the bottle shape and cap, but one small issue with the cap. I thought my bottle was leaking around the sprayer but then discovered the collar came off and was stuck inside of the cap. I glued the collar over the sprayer and works great now. Probably just an issue for me and other bottles are fine. A great scent well worth the money. 8.5/10

Woody and Aromatic as advertised. Good bang for your buck here, I like this one very much, the Cedar note is very prominent to me, also Lavender, Cinnamon leaves, Vanilla and Labdanum. The Papyrus is there also, it's the same one from Bentley for Men Black... The cedar is also close to the one from Bentley for Men Absolute. These are all fragrances made by Lalique, same sourcing for the notes probably. Good stuff. One note to Fragrantica, this fragrance is from 2019, not 2021. I've got a 2019 bottle.

A beautiful, deep and not-so-sweet fragrance! For the price, I honestly didn't expect any cheers or ooohs. The fragrance is beautifully enveloping and intoxicating. My first thought... Polish Christmas, during which we cook a compote of dried fruits, apples, pears, smoked prunes. It's a very similar smell, a smell that floats in every kitchen this time of year :) Where do I see this smell? Autumn, winter or a romantic evening ;) Long lasting, up to 6h on my skin, much more longer on clothes.

This stuff is great. Spicy, woody vanilla. One of my favorites for cold weather, and it's dirt cheap. I almost (almost) wish this was a bit more expensive because I know some people will assume it smells cheap because of its low price, but it definitely doesn't. Projects well for the first hour and a half or so; longevity is solid. Recommended for anyone looking for something warm and balsamic to get you through the winter.

Smells like a cinnamon roll in a masculine type of way. It lasts forever, keeps you smelling yourself throughout the day, I can smell it on me just walking around in hot and cold weather. For the price point its a dam good fragrance, and in an era where scents tend to fade. This lasts way beyond my ten hour work day. The hype is worth it , and I see why its a favorite out of all the Jaguar scents.

It can be included in the collection as it is a product of a well-known brand. yes it smells good. but there are many top class fragrances in oud fragrances. Get it if it's not expensive. 23/01/2023: It smells good but the bottle cap doesn't fit well. The cover is made of fragile plastic. The coating on the cap came off when perfume splashed on it. The spray collapses when you press it.

Techniclly this is a linear fragrance, since the heart section is more dominant so their is no real woody aronmtic effect, so it's predominatly woody oriental. The head notes more or less are just acting as modifier notes creating this oriental sweet soda like effect remineicent of creamy soda. Good masculine dry down, rather fond of this one.

No oud note listed, none detected. Not sure why they chose it for the name but I guess the notes come together to give easy and accessible re-creation of oud. I get woods, cinnamon, some vanilla, and this elegant kind of cream soda accord. Great for the cold and smells more expensive than it is. Performance is great too.

Aww wow, what a stunner. It's like cross between Givenchy Xeryus Rouge an a exotic creamy soda. That's a win as far as I'm concerned. The aromatics are subtle not that I care, it smells more like an oriental woody so it's like it just bypasses the aromatic opening, subtle at least anyhow which is good. Yeah I love it !

This is rock solid for the price. No oud here in spite of the name. Compares very well with Polo Supreme Oud and Gucci Intense Oud (no oud in these either). To me, Jaguar is a little sweeter with maybe a bit more cinnamon than the Polo or Gucci with similar longevity. Great for fall and winter.

A lovely woody and sweet perfume with some vanilla. Longevity and silage are both good. In fact, the silage off this is particularly nice. The dry down exudes a beautiful woody patchouli Jag Oud smells much more expensive than it is - it's great value too. It's a really nice perfume.

this is the best jaguar release, longevity is also good. but remember this is not for common people. especially for those of you who are not lovers of the smell of oud. I think if the appearance of this bottle is black maybe it would be more suitable, because this is a black scent.

This perfume is a revelation to me. One of the nicest smells I've smelled in my life. A quality and deep fragrance. I bought it for just 16 euros. All that remains to be seen is its performance. Well done jaguar, well done Lalique.

Jaguar For Men Oud is pretty decent and good for being a cheapie. There's vanilla in this but in the background. And the cinnamon and smokey amber leather. Smells more amberish than Oud It's amber woody aromatic.

For the price I couldn't resist. I previously owned one man show oud edition, I enjoyed it just wanted something a little bit more wearable and this fits the bill! Cozy oud - great for those brisk, windy days..

To add. If you want a woody, vanilla and cheap perfume with a good strength AND with a lovely silage....well.. here you are.

This is a gem. I think this is the best one from Jaguar. Get it. It is dirt cheap.

First Impressions: This is really nice. Thank God, I have been on a terrible run of blind buy fails until this! In short it smells very, very similar to Gucci Intense Oud - you will recognise this style at soon as you sniff it. It seems an extremely well constructed western oud accord that gradually peels away to show different facets - rich resinous guaiac, smooth vanilla, dry papyrus, spicy cinnamon. In the mid phase I was trying to work out if it had a fruity note, maybe cherry, but as others have said 'cream soda' is the closest descriptor for this phase. In the late dry down it turns into a lovely spicy amber with cinnamon, albeit as a skin scent. Oriental but wearable in the real world, without feeling like I'm in an Aladdin fancy dress costume. To echo others, the sprayer is absolute garbage and barely works, putting out tiny puffs whilst leaking down it's collar. The cap has also cracked - I compared it to my Jaguar For Men (the green one), and the sprayer & cap are totally different (well made) on that one. Back to the juice though - this is quality stuff from the Lalique group, and I'm kind of surprised it hasn't gained more hype. It's a bit of an endgame western oud for my collection. Now I'm wondering - is it too soon to feel nostalgic for the Oud flanker years of 2010-2015?!?

Had my eye on this for a while and wanted to try it. Its a gorgeous and simple balsamic oud, with depth and sweetness to fill it out. Lovely stuff. Blending and quality is much higher than the low price would suggest. Nothing original or groundbreaking as i own a ton of other Oud scents, but this one is pretty special. Its definitely an instant like and a less niche, more generic, crowd pleasing Oud than most. Considering the quality and low price, Jaguar Oud is probably an excellent Day 1 Lesson 1 intro starting point for newbies and rookies who want to explore the art of Arabian oud and niche scents.You can't go wrong with this really. I am going to hold onto it to see if it gets stronger, because at the moment (week 1, new) its weak in projection and sillage and the longevity is negligible. Its a beauty, but if it doesn't get stronger, its redundant in my collection and going back to sender soon. But...believe the hype...this is actually a very decent oud masculine scent, simple, clean and loveable. Recommended. 7/10....would be an 8 but performance lets the scent down

Cinnamon + Oud + Lavender bomb. Simple yet nice mature fragrance. 6-8 sprays: Strong sillage for the first 2 hours easily, duration: 12-20hr on clothes. It was too much (I got a mild headache after 1 hour). Next time I will go for only 3-4. Mine was bought on AMZ USA a few days ago... And it was powerful since the beginning. I think that with maceration time, this could be nuclear. Not a happy easy going perfume, as this a heavy combination of notes. I will use it on semi-formal occasions, or at only adults dinners with wifes, on cold weather. Yes is synthetic, yes is cheap, BUT I love it... It could pass for a designer fragrance easily (BUT NO, nothing near to Hugo Boss Absolute, sorry this goes into another very different way). For men over 35+.

The citrus and lavender opening gets quickly overtaken by the spicy cinnamon, then goes to a warm middle and a woody/vanilla drydown. I do register the jasmine and patchouli in the mix too. However, make no mistake -- there's no oud in here. It's not even listed in the notes and I'm not surprised. The woody accord definitely smells like cedar and it sort of coalesces with the other aromas in here to make something REMINISCENT of oud -- but it's not oud. And that's completely fine. Instead, it's a prototypical, conventional, classic warm woody scent that's great for cold weather, dates or formals. You'd be hard-pressed to find a cheapie that performs anywhere near this one. It's a GREAT deal for $20.

The sheen this thing gives on your skin the moment you spray it is borderline body oil levels. 😅 Finally got a friend's nearly used up bottle to test on me and it reminds me of a more masculine leaning version of an Abdulsamad Alqurashi perfume, Golden Tears. The biggest surprise for me is the patchouli's not a party pooper on this one. The only downside I see on this is it's a perfume that's a chameleon, even my friend commented it doesn't smell the same to him everytime he wears it. But since this is Alrehab levels cheap in my place, I might buy a full bottle if I like it. Will update on performance later.

This is my first Jaguar perfume that hasn't ended up with a broken cap (yet...) At this price point, there is obviously no real oud present but this fragrance does a good job of mimicking the oud note with what I would describe as an amber, spicy and woody accord. This is oud for beginners. Pungent enough to be noticed but sweetened enough by other notes to avoid oud's typical skanky tendencies. Performance is very good. Lasts all evening whenever I wear it at home and can still be smelt on clothes the next day. If you're on a tight budget and want to experience oud then this is a good call.

Budget 'oud' gem here. Leans on the unisex to masculine side. The reasons I didn't buy this is there's a crapton of oud perfume stores in my place and I only have to wait for a sale from those to get a better oud for a few more coins. That said, if Arabian Oud and their ilk aren't your neighbors, this is a good beginner 'oud' to start. Moderate sillage, 6 hours longevity. It's a welcome break from most vanilla ouds flooding the market because there's a menthol note in it that tames the sweetness.

I get leather, lots of cinnamon, some sweetness, but drys out to a woody, vanilla, leather fragrance for the most part. It combines to give a nice Oud smell in the air, I’m guessing that’s why they gave it the name. I also detect some boozy cherry note that’s not listed at all in the note breakdown. All in all the price point for this fragrance is great. The performance is good as well. Much more positives than negatives with this one.

Got this today. Ok....so....a mixture of notes....to "create" an oud smell....Yeah, ok, no matter. This actually smells very good! Nothing "complex" or "unique".......but for the price....it smells/acts in a good quality fragrance. Woody/patch/vanilla...drydown goes in the powdery direction..slightly. and maybe a "fougere-ish accord" in the background (?).

I yielded and bought one. It smells like a glorified cinnamon chewing gum at the moment with some woods thrown in. I do wonder if it will take some time to reach that wonderful scent that I got as a decant from my coworker which is less sweeter than this. It still lasts a long time and medium to strong projection.

Performance update on this: nearly 6 hours on my skin first 3 hours is explosive. Three sprays is a room filler. I can still smell it on my bed even if I can't smell it on my body. On my skin it's a cinnamon vanilla leather oud that isn't very sweet compared to some ouds that I've owned from Arab brands.

Even though something in it is sweet and vaguely reminds me of sassafras - unexpected but not a bad thing - being far subtler than Bogart's smoky sledgehammer OMS oud makes it so much more wearable (I have no other oud with which to compare). Strongly recommended.

Not bad for its price. The dry down is surprisingly animalic and dirty, which I honestly did not expect from a fragrance in this price range. It gives it some character and makes it more interesting than many other cheap oud fragrances.

Sweet vanilla cinnamon Wood. The ingredients replicate a oud like scent. Very pleasant, for the price someone could easily think this scent is from a niche brand. 9/10. Wearing this makes me happy. Lovely burgundy bottle.

I bought this fragrance because I'd heard a lot of praise about how great value it is and the scent which allegedly mimics oud so well (since it doesn't contain actual oud). And I was quite surprised by it's staying power! It really does last a great amount and for only £15 I'm sure it's bound to please someone... but sadly the smell really isn't for me. To me, all I get is a very warm, powdery cinnamon with some sweetness. Think cinnamon gum or cinnamon Altoids. That's literally what this smells like to me... Even in the drydown. Granted I don't hate it, but I'm not someone who enjoys smelling like cinnamon gum. If you're a fan of that then this is a perfect bargain since I can still smell it strongly off my clothes a day after wearing it. Thumbs up for the performance though, £15 for 7+ hours is impressive!

It's not good. Does not smell good and comes in one of the cheapest bottles with a cheap atomizer. Cheap woody fragrance. All I get from this one is a dusty cedar/guaic wood scent. 2/5. Edit: The dry down is a little better so I'll say the drydown is a 3/5.

I find this one to have a bit sharp character compared to other ouds I have smelled, maybe it's the lavender. Either way not my favourite from Jaguar that is a pretty good cheapie brand.

nothing like obsession for men but it gets interesting using it as a base for encre noire . really brightens up the woods .

Here is a scond attempt at describing this scent, not necessarily a correction of what I said before, ...but rather further insight from another vantage point. Jaguar for Men Oud is a pleasant blend in the masculine oriental genre. The sweet, spicy, dry, and bitter components stays well-balanced, yet lively. Smelling it now, I find it to be an enjoyably mix of both vintageand contemporary trends. The three main elements of this fragrance can be summarized as • Amber (vanilla + labdanum) • Lightly smoked woods (guaiac, cedar, also papyrus) • Cinnamon leaf, ...so more like allspice than cinnamon bark. Yes, other notes, such as the lavender, may also be adding their nuances. And there might be some sense of synthetic oud deep in the woods, ...but if so, it is subtle. It seems "oud" is has become mostly a marketing concept in modern perfumery.

My first true ‘cheapie’ and probably my last. Firstly, my bottle came with the cap split right down the middle and I couldn’t repair it. The only bottle I now have without a cap, kind of annoying. Anyway, the scent: it’s just okay. I get mostly cinnamon leaf, guaiac wood and cedar. There’s this alcohol tinge to the fragrance that never really fully leaves. It’s weak juice too (for being an edp). I dont want to rag on this too much bc for $20 I guess it makes sense. A swing and miss for me and a good lesson learned that cheapies just might not be for me. All the best.

For the price ($40CAD at my local discount outlet), this smells absolutely phenomenal. Feels like it could be such a great, dumb/blind reach in the Autumn & Winter months. Yeah, there's no Oud in here & for that price, why would you expect there to be any? For that cost, it should feel like a total Craps shoot on a fragrance like this, but this stuff is absolutely amazing (again), especially when you consider the price point. I can't speak on longevity or sillage as it's Spring & I only tried this at my local the other day, but yeah, smells very nice.

Jaguar for Men Oud At the opening there is something bright and sharp, like pink pepper. Later it dries down to cinnamon (leaf?) and a lightly smoked woodiness. These wood notes likely include dry cedar and smoky guiacum, both listed, ...as well as an unlisted (but named) hint of synthetic oud. The spicy woody middle notes persist for a long time, ...while slowly, the subdued vanilla (and papyrus?) basenotes merge in.

There are some heavy hitters in the "Smells Like" section! With that being said, this smells great, but it doesn't have the same performance as those heavy hitters... so if you like stronger scents, then you should pass on this one. If you like lighter scents, however, this smells great! It's very similar to the now discontinued Polo Supreme Oud.

Although no oud can be smelled in this fragrance, which makes the name of this scent a bit misleading -- i quite enjoy this. It smells a bit like an extra spiced off brand coca cola, in a good way. Kind of like a melted cola slushie with extra cinnamon. It has linear progression with soft sillage. Excellent value for money and good year round.

The fragrance is really good and long lasting. Perfect woody, spicy perfume with a bargain price. The bottle is unfortunately cheap and nasty with coating going off and a similar problem with the sprayer collar mentioned below. Overall you can't expect much more for such a low price, but presentation really matters.

its a woody , balsamic fragrance , smells very masculine , absolute room filler and it lasts , great buy for cheap. reminds me alot of Boss Bottled Elixir by hugo boss but for a cheaper price , based on the notes i would haave thought it was gonna be more sweet but i guess its still good 7.5/10

This is the one Oud fragrance I actually get compliments from! This is a very pleasant and sweet type of oud with that dark edge that ouds normally have. If you want a safe beginner oud this is a good one to go for. The longevity is moderate and it projects nicely.

The best of the jaguar line, If the color of the bottle is black, maybe it's better, because the aroma that is produced is quite dark.
