Rose Aria

A blast of rose and green notes with galbanum as the main player dominates the opening. They describe the opening as a reminiscence of a fresh green apple and I can see why. Imagine a juicy Granny Smith without much sweetness. For me, it's the image of a young rosebud, full of vitality, fighting its way to emerge from the green stem. After 15-20 min, it starts to dry down to a fully bloomed rose, the scent is now softer and more rounded and the sharp edges of the green notes are smoothed out. After a few hours, if you smell closely, the scent became a bit powdery and there may be a hint of the dry notes of saffron and sandalwood lurking in the background, but these notes never dominate the scent. While the sillage is there (not monstrous though), for an extrait, the longevity is very disappointing on my skin. Overall, this is a truly unisex scent because of all the green notes toning down the jammy sweet rose. I really like it for its uniqueness but the poor longevity on me makes me want to contemplate a bit more if the FB is worth the retail price

I really don't think this is as weird or unwearable as people seem to think it is, I generally take comments like that to mean 'unique' or perhaps 'uncommon'. However I totally agree that it's similar to Experimentus Crucis. It's a green rose for sure, a touch sweet, fresh-out-of-the-garden style and on initial spray I just assumed it had a bit of patchouli (which it might), but maybe it's a combo of the other green notes. I like it quite a lot, I used to wear FM Une Rose and I've always been curious about whether other rose scents would grab me like that one did. This one is a delight, but it will take a few more tests before I make a final decision.

This should be named Musk Aria. Musky Amber, Rosey, LEATHERY. Leather is not listed as a note but I'm getting leather at the top. My first thought was POAL with a little leather. I will be doing a side by side later on to see just how close they are but right now I'm just enjoying it unfold. I get no spice. As it wears it is heavy on the musk, more musk than rose. Very nice quality but that musk takes over and is too much like other heavy musk fragrances I haven - Guerlain Musc Noble, Hermetica Amberbee EDIT: On me, this is better than POAL. This just keep developing in to a full on beauty.

This is fresh, sweet rose in Your garden, not rose oil or rose soap type of scent. At first a little bit leans toward honey scent, hours latter becomes spicier, but that real rose is there all along. Brilliant!

Its strong yet not offensive presence create a lot of interest around these perfumes

The only type of rose fragrance I like and can wear is the fresh-cut rose, in it's pure format sometimes called a figurative fragrance. Imagine walking in a rose garden during spring, and biting a fresh green apple, this is the vibe of this fragrance. It's a very positive fragrance that can uplift your mood. This perfume is minimalistic like several others from this brand. Not too much to say about it, it reminds you of a fresh rose garden or a fresh bouquet of roses. It's a combination of rose and fresh green notes. The green notes are very similar to the green apple, and it looks like the first bite of a juicy fresh green apple. To me, fresh rose, in its pure format, has a smell from heaven. In most rose fragrances, perfumers add some extra notes to make a fragrance, but actually mess up and fail. Fresh Cut Rose, by itself, is the best perfume, and some brands like Cartier, in Pure Rose, or Francis Kukdijian, in A la Rose, try to be committed to the beauty of a fresh-cut rose. Too expensive for what it offers. 7/10

This is an attic rose musk with a slice of orange. It's interesting and I like it but I'm having a hard time figuring out where, when and why I would wear this. And this leads me to conclude: This is a personal use fragrance. For those moments where you are enjoying your own company. And this is not a good or bad thing; just my opinion of Rose Aria's place in your perfume wardrobe. It's sweet, yep. And musky. Yep yep. And something citrus. Sample this and share with readers where you see yourself using it.

I’m a big fan of Heeley fragrances and keen to try Rose Aria. This starts as a gentle sweet rose scent, surprisingly subtle, then changes to a warmer musky powdery skin scent, I found longevity good on my skin. I love that Heeley fragrances smell natural and never synthetic - and this achieves a soft and natural rose aroma. It’s not a heavy or overpowering oriental rose. To me its a romantic, subtly sexy fragrance.

The fragrance opens with a dusty attic-like scent of dried rose petals which eventually transforms into a mild sweetness of rose jam. It's a natural rose aroma that's not too complicated. There's a slight bitterness to it that reminds me of Rose Oud by Yves Rocher. Overall, it's an elegant, chic, and stylish fragrance that's perfect for a mature woman. It's more suited for fall/winter.

Leathery, saffron-y rose. Essentially the natural slightly green, bright Heeley rose accord enveloped by a very certain type of saffrony leather that has been shown again and again in many formulations like Memo French Leather, Dusita Montri, or FM Rose & Cuir to blend very coherently and smoothly into a musky floral envelope. That being said I unfortunately don't enjoy that slightly rubbery almost tart type of saffron-like leather, so this is immediately not something made for me to enjoy. Make sure to sample before you buy unless you are absolutely certain you can handle prominent leather notes.

I was trying to figure out why this was familiar and where from. I just tried them side by side and sure enough: this is a musky, greener version of ELDO's Experimentum Crucis. I mean, I don't mind Rose Aria but it's much harsher for sure and it's not going to appeal to everyone, especially for guys I think the ELDO is a lot more accessible, thanks to the woods being more present. It's a shame because I like the use of galbanum here but it throws off the composition a lot to my nose. I will say it lasts a good while longer (2-3 hours longer) then the ELDO on my skin but all in all, I prefer reapplying. Still, I don't think Rose Aria is bad but it's just hard to find a time and place to use it; it's too harsh to use at the office and too "weird" to use on a date.

One can make beautiful rose scents and uninteresting ones. With Chloé Roses, and Bois 1920 Rosa di Filare resemblances, this is just boring.
