Rende-Vous Nocturne Eau de Parfum

For me this was a blind buy and I am soooo happy I bought it! I enjoy the whole story behind it, the beautiful gardens and gothic bohemian style. Very dreamy and elegant. The packaging and bottle are gorgeously dark and romantic. The scent is neatly balanced, and lies within the gourmand and oriental domains. It opens sweet and powdery with ylang ylang, vanilla and marshmallow. A combination that reminds me of a bubblegum lip smacker. Then it is complimented by jasmin, patchouli and rose to add more depth and a more sophisticated feel. The scent stays close to the skin and will probably not offend anyone.

My ex gifted this to me. The opening is very, very heavy on an unpleasant herbal/cough syrupy ylang-ylang and candied citrus combo. As it settles down the uber-sweet synthetic citruses quickly disappear and it leaves a very sweet woody earthy base as the patchouli comes through and gives it an earthy edge. It works well with the now muted ylang ylang and rose. Without it I think this would be super generic, bland and too sweet - it's kind of balancing with a pole between old woman and young college girl. Weak sillage and longevity, but a good perfume to throw into your bag and re-apply throughout the day. However when I over spray I'm drowned by the ylang-ylang floral notes. The best thing about it is really the dry down. It's mature enough for me while also not giving grandma perfume and retaining a young woman profile. I'll finish the bottle as I don't have a spring summer perfume right now anyway but I probably wouldn't repurchase it, ever. Not sure what being gifted this by my ex says about me - unpleasant at the start and nice towards the end? Cannot decide between maturity and youth? Desperate to be taken seriously but too indulgent to lay off the lollipop?

Although this is a delicate perfume, I'd say it's leaning to a unisex one. It's cozy, sweet and tough at the same time. Don't be put off by the marshmallow note! This note blends very well with a nice, grown up and sophisticated result. There's nothing childish about this one!

Strong, heavy, eternal. After the second day on a jacket is super. :) Winter aroma.

I bought this one in a rush while being in Milano and tried to find a not too expensive perfume for travelling. Funny enough that this was with 50 Euro the cheapest. I was excited because it`s a gourmand scent. But I don`t sense any gourmand notes, to me it smells like a sweet, generic, old lady, floral scent. This does not work for me at all.
