Rose Interdite

First up: I don't like rose. Generally, it reminds me of bathroom freshener. I was more than ready to hate this. The reviews didn't give me any hope either, to be honest. I gave it a shot despite my bias. Its start was exactly as anticipated: a disgusting, artificial rose. A public bathroom where they just replaced their toilet freshener. Oof. However, a couple of minutes into it, it develops into a more realistic rose. I definitely pick up the scent of jasmine, which I absolutely adore. There's a fruitiness to it as well, that becomes a little more prominent over time. And paired with the musk, it's actually.... Remarkably pleasant?! Not groundbreaking by any means. But it has surprised me. Big time. Would I buy this? No. I like it, but I don't love it enough to finish an entire bottle. Particularly not at its price point. Has it changed my mind on rose as note in fragrance? Surprisingly, yes. I can see its potential now. So it's a win by my book.

I tested it yesterday and purchased a full bottle today, I was looking for something new for spring/summer browsing thru the fragrances and the shop assistant showed me these. I was deciding between this one and Jasmin Imperial, I liked them both and finally chose Rose Interdite. I will update once I test it properly but 1 spray of each on each hand lasted for hours so here's hope it will project nicely. I might still buy Jasmin as well 😊The packaging is really beautiful, a gold bottle lying on black velvet, in a black box with cut-out red flower, very luxurious looking. Edit: the silage and projection are really good, I got several compliments, and it's a very smooth rose with a hint of citrus and pepper, leans later to the sweeter side thanks to vanilla and sandalwood. Really happy with the scent.

Just a fruity rose with tons of jasmine on my skin. It's not bad by any mean, but it's nothing too surprising. Pretty good for the price ! Performance is excellent on my skin.

Terrible scary, agressive cheap and rude scent. It should be forbidden to produce thing like this. DIscusting
