This perfume was a delightful surprise find for me I loved the bottle and I loved the scent at first sniff I think with just one wearing that I can say this will become the scent of this summer for me . It is a cool refreshing scent it has a calming motivating aspect to it is a minimalist fragrance of simplicity but it is not boring it has a multifaceted movement about it .It calls me on a visceral level as if it would journey along side me and it would bring out the best in me but at all levels a quiet cool energising walk in early morning a busy elegant graceful day a calm relaxing creative evening The fragrance is very subtle becomes a part of you while wearing it no-one noticed I was wearing it today until they hugged me and then they commented they loved it but I was aware of it all day The ingredients are quality and the price is worth it I found the jasmine and LOTV dominated during the day and then musk in the evening It lasted well I can still smell it as a skin scent and I have been wearing it for 10 hours now .It is so popular among my friends they have all been borrowing it .My daughter has been wearing it to work . When I bought it, it came in a 100ml and a 30 ml pack .I gave the thirty ml to one of my friends who loved it so much and she couldn't afford a bottle she was so happy she cried

In my own preference I love it. Is very fresh and slightly fruity, this Is what my personal nose perceives. At first I smell something citrusy and now I know that is from the bergamot that is not listed here. I feel that it has a similarity (not comparable) to Omnia Coral of Bvlgari on it’s aroma but is not Identical neither is similar, is just what my nose perceives. (I don’t say is a dupe or that have the same dna, is was the first thing that came to my mind when I smelled it; about 3 minutes of being on my skin) I also find it some similarity to Burberry Touch because of the pepper, but Jason Wu is more light and less complex than that one, and here I feel is more light and simple. But this fragrance starts off a bit strong, later in it diminishes in strength and becomes more accentuated on the skin. Like “skin, but better”. At first the pepper is quite noticeable, but after a few minutes the fig and florals softens the pepper note. It feels just a bit powdery or soapy and in my skin sits very clean, fruity and floral. For me is perfect for spring and summer.

I blind purchased this bottle at a deep discount from JCPenney Beauty. It honestly appeared slept on, and I wish now that I’d purchased more than one bottle. I was leaving a review for Gucci Memoire, which is supposed to invoke memories, and admitted that although great, it’s not nostalgic for me. In fact, the scent that gives me inexplicable nostalgia is Jason Wu EDP. Not that I even knew about this scent or could have worn it back then, but something about it brings me back to circa 2009, living in Portland and working as a fashion intern and for Nordstrom. I saw a comparison to Burberry Touch, which was a popular scent sold back then, and also comparison to Aerin Lauder scents, which were also a mainstay during that time. It has almost a lemongrass vibe (which I know isn’t a listed note). Link pepper, peony, and fig are always hits for me. The longevity is good. If I spray before work, I can still smell it toward the end of the day. Projection is moderate unless you spray too much.

This is such a lovely fragrance! If you're a fan of jasmine, this smells amazing and just intoxicating! Very long lasting for a floral fragrance and has a similar vibe to Chloe EDP, like a cousin almost with the powdery laundry detergent feel. Lasting power is great for a floral, it lasts quite well on clothes and lingers. Reminds me of my childhood, growing up smelling my neighbors jasmine growing on the wall which is the exact description that inspired Mr. Jason Wu to create this fragrance, reminding him of the jasmine he smelled growing up in Taiwan.

Just like the bottle, the scent is simple, clean and elegant. Very understated, yet beautiful. I immediately get the jasmine from opening to the ending, peony dancing in and out. The pink pepper is really just enough to keep it from being too soft, giving it a kind of fresh, soapy element. It's an extremely familiar scent, though I don't know where I've experienced it before... maybe from an actual soap or deodorant? Except this is more round than sharp and leaves kind of an elegant breeze behind. It's Avon's Haiku with more jasmine. Love it.

This perfume is pleasant and uplifting. On me; this scent is fresh, floral and almost citrus like.The pepper is barely there, and theres a slight sharpness to this. It's a light scent but the projection is excellent. This is one of the few freshies that don't turn into a peppery mess on my skin.

Gorgeous bottle. Such a green white floral. The fig and pink pepper register to my nose as green grass or peppery green leaves. Beautifully blended, and I love the musky dry-down. Not at all what I would expect for something categorized as a white floral.

I first encountered Jason Wu passing the fragrances, making my way through to Aesop when the shop assistant pulled me aside to promote the new fragrance. The story behind it is beautiful: jasmine from his childhood in Taiwan. The bottle being sensual and feminine but simple reflects his own clothing line and who it caters to i.e. refined sophisticated woman. The part where she talked about the velvety matte packaging of the box representing the warmth of his mother's hug completely lost me, but I'm sure his mother was a very supportive person and a big influence in his work. I happily accepted the sample. Nothing really makes this fragrance stand out. It's the generic designer smell. The perfect gift of a fragrance if you don't know much about who you're buying it for. Of course, if you love it, there's no shame in that either. If you wore this in the office, I don't think your fragrance will offend anyone. Moderate sillage and longevity. The jasmine is not the star of the show but it's there and the musk is heavy, as far as my skin chemistry is concerned, perhaps a bit too much for the muggy summer weather.

Summer and warm spring days. Perfect for the office or any place where you wouldn’t want to offend. Silage is as light as it gets with a surprisingly moderate to long longevity. Very light, fresh floral. Top: Fig with a touch of pink pepper that keeps it grounded from being a sweet accord. Heart: Floral Peony and some fresh Lily-of-the-valley, I can’t detect any jasmine. Base: The base seems to only serve for longevity purposes, light wood and I guess some musk will appear later on but I have to directly smell my wrist to notice anything different. Overall: This is a fresh peony fragrance that would be perfect for anyone that dislikes musk. 3/5 Similar perfumes of lesser quality have a tendency to go soapy or powder after the first hour. This is not a complement getter because this isn’t a perfume designed to be that noticeable, it’s plain, inoffensive, pleasant, and fine. This is a good neutral perfume, which means it’s not that much fun to buy or wear. And that’s okay, because we need those, but I was expecting more.

Yes, I too saw this at Marshall's, 30 ml for $17 and couldn't resist trying it. The bottle is beautiful! Very elegant, modern and feminine. The scent is quite lovely and I agree with all posters below who experience a light, fresh, elegant white floral. I also pick up a beautiful peony with a touch of green tea at the opening. I will wear this in spring and summer for sure. Of fragrances in my collection, this most reminds me of Gucci Bamboo - a very wearable and mass-appealing white floral that isn't heavy and thick. (And for the record, I love heavy white florals, even more so than the lighter ones like this!) I know my teenage daughter will like this too. For my money, this is a nice bottle for a lovely, can't-go-wrong floral. If all this sounds boring to you, then you will probably be bored with it! But if light, fresh, tea, jasmine, peony and springtime sound good to you, then I think it's definitely worth seeking it out!

This perfume has a strong Aerin lauder stamp, it is pretty, classy, but I find it hard to describe as it is overall without much personality...pretty? Yes, the floral notes are smooth and soft, the fig gives a bit of a bite, but it is short lived..the drydown is almost a bit sweet. it has a bit of Ralph Lauren Woman...in truth it has a lot in common with lots of pretty florals out there...longevity isn't great, and there is no development really in that scent...it isn't sharp, and rather timeless..I don't think anybody could dislike it, but if you like scents with punch, this might be too quiet for you...it kind of is for my taste..I know Wu wasn't looking for a powerhouse scent...it isn't, it is delicate, and shy, but well done..still what is the point of making such a quiet perfume I wonder ?! I will wear it more, might grow on me !!

I enjoy this affordable fragrance. To me it smells like a sweeter version of Aerin Ikat Jasmine. Although I like to think I lived a past life in the Mediterranean region, I'm not very familiar with the scent of fig... I hope the fruity scent of this fragrance is a good approximation. But yes, this perfume has a very creamy, sweet floral accord to my nose. I get less of the other listed notes, such as musk, peony and lily-of-the-valley. I get zero red pepper. To me it's simply a lovely, slightly fruity Jasmine sambac. 🦋🧡🦋

This is a beautiful white floral and what you would expect from the description! However, it has something a little bit special - that pink pepper really comes through and sharpens the fragrance. It's still soft and creamy, as many white floral fragrances are, but that softness is cut a bit with the peppery goodness. So I would call this a white floral with some edge. Really lovely, as I typically like perfumes with something unique about them!

This is ridiculously cheap for what it is. TJMax had it for like $15. This is the same price as most body sprays. If you feel a little rebellious and want to stray (slightly) from typical department store glass pink bottles, try this one out. Fig, some green freshness and pepper make it a good starter to get into more nuance fragrances. You could easily layer if you wanted to lean more floral or fruity.

A nice white floral with a dash of pink pepper . Not to strong even if you happened to over spray. I found it on a great sale price , but don't feel it is worth a higher price tag . Reminds me a bit of Gucci Envy me. Silage and longevity slightly weak but overall not a bad scent for the right price.

Looove the packaging. Luxurious looking but the scent is just too much for me, almost alcoholic. Not sure if it’s worth the price since it kinda smells similar to your drugstore shelf cologne.

I bought a little bottle of this on ebay because the notes are so me, and also, I love the bottle. It makes me happy to look at it. And I did really like the scent, which is initially green tea-ish (it reminded me of Elie Tahari, which is excellent and can be had for cheap, check it out!). Then it quickly turns into a salty figginess soooort of like Thierry Mugler's Womanity ... but then it's gone, poof, just the faintest remnants of a muskiness. It's almost like that pencil-shaving smell I get with cedar notes sometimes. Maybe it's my scent-eating skin? Anyway, foiled again. It's so delicate, I may use it for a room spray.

I get a sharp pink pepper wrapped in Lilly. I get no jasmine at all. Just that sharp pink pepper smell. It does give a fresh and green scent. I can also see it being a slightly unisex fragrance. The scent itself doesn’t change much. It’s an ok perfume. I like white florals, but this isn’t something I would really reach for.

This fragrance smells like it has nothing but unripened green fruits, which is good but overly done, according to what I like. This frag is somewhat similar to Miu Miu original, though Miu Miu is softened with sweet fruits and some fresh florals.

The notes look amazing. This perfume is so light that I really can't smell it. Performs like a scented laundry detergent. If you are looking for a beautiful fig scent try Illusione for Her Bottega Veneta.

I love this light, figgy floral with a hint of tea -- it's kind like a modern figgy version of my beloved 90s freshies. Also, the bottle is lovely. I wish this lasted longer, it's just gone with the wind.

This fragrance, for me - was very strong and gave me a headache very quickly. I'm not an expert on notes but I know what I like and I did not like this fragrance. To me, it smelled EXACTLY like Raw Spirit Mystic Pearl - which I hated from first smell. I was very disappointed that Jason Wu's fragrance resembled this one so much! That's why I love my perfume subscription. I can try without the buy lol.

This one SHOULD be right up my alley, but it quickly turned into a scrubber. Something in it just doesn’t work for me, and I have no idea what it is. It was from a monthly subscription, and I’m putting it up for sale as soon as I can take a picture.

Had high hopes based on the notes, but this one didn't work on me. A little too sharp and musky. I love Jasmine Sambac and don't smell it at all in this.

At first spray, this reminded me a bit of a baby shampoo or something from childhood. It's elegant but definitely has a more mature vibe. Selling this one.

Since I love Jason Wu's designs and his attention to detail in his clothing lines, I was eager to try his new perfume. Wu's eponymous scent opens with warm sunny citruses and a bit of round fruitiness that I did not immediately pick out as fig, which is a good thing. Too much figginess can overwhelm a fragrance. Here, the fig note is blended well and imparts an overall juiciness and a little milkiness in the opening. The mid-phase of the fragrance is very floral jasmine sambac. I am used to a blend of different jasmines so this smells a bit more green than many jasmine fragrances but it is lovely and fresh. I can also smell the LOTV, lily of the valley, pretty early on, given some oomph by the peony. Sometimes peony can be too sharp for me, but it is nicely done here. The final drydown comes quickly- the development is fast with this fragrance, it's completed in an hour. The wood notes come more to the forefront in the drydown and you are left with white woods, LOTV and musk. The fragrance overall is light, a veil of fragrance, and this is purposeful, according to Mr. Wu and Mr. Voekl. It lasted about 5 hours on my skin. The new Jason Wu scent has a minimalist feel, a floral abstract minimalism is how I would describe it. I wish the initial phases of the fragrance lasted longer as these are my favorite parts. Since I have too many fragrances already I won't be buying this one now, but I think many people will like it.

Jason Wu's debut fragrance looked promising. The advert and bottle were both classy and minimalist, so I was expecting a floral scent to reflect this. Unfortunately, Jason Wu is an underwhelming fragrance. For the huge price tag, it is nothing special. It's just your average, run-of-the-mill clean, musky floral. I smell dominant notes of lily of the valley, peony, pink pepper and heavy white musk. It honestly smells like a fragrance you would find Clean or Philosophy producing but at a fraction of the cost. This fragrance is just one great, big flop. Jason Wu does have good lasting power, however, the projection is on the softer side. After only a few hours of wear, I had to press my nose to my wrist and breathe hot air onto my pulse point to detect anything. Not only does this fragrance need a stronger projection but it also needs more complexity. It's very bland and basic. The more I smell Jason Wu, the more it reminds me of a subdued, less sophisticated copy of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle EDT. Perhaps this popular Chanel fragrance was behind its inspiration, but as Coco Mademoiselle EDT can be found at discount retailers for less than a bottle of Jason Wu, I would stick to wearing the better of the two.

This is surprisingly a love for me! I walked into Saks, and only smelled it because of a particularly pushy saleswoman. It smelled good on the paper strip (like spiced peaches, as another reviewer said). I walked around the mall, and then went back to try it on. For a few minutes, I could not smell it at all!! Very strange.. Then; it seemed to get stronger, and I kept getting whiffs of something amazing. On my skin, it does not smell like spiced peaches. I'm not a fan of fresh scents, but this one is different. Someone compared it to B. Balenciago, which I can see. However; I didn't like that scent, and I do like this one. It does remind me of silk, and everything is well-done in it. I'm not sure I smell jasmine. Maybe peony? Anyway; you really have to try this one on your skin, because I have a feeling it's different on everyone. Also, I ordered mine from the Jason Wu website. They are selling the smaller size, and I got a better price due to a discount code and no sales tax charged for all states except one.

it's a very smooth floral, a white floral for sure. this is just me guessing before looking at the notes. it has an elegant classy quality to it. like the oils used are very clean and luxurious. its weird since on the paper tester it smells just smooth floral-y and slightly clean musk but on my skin it gets a bit peppery right when it's sprayed and then levels out to the floral musk scent. I think it's nice and very womanly. it's clean but it's not like clean in a "showered and clean" way but clean as in simple, concise, elegant clean 6.5/10 PS: if you like this pink peppery floral thing this perfume has going for it, you may enjoy Fantasia by Anna Sui, it's a much more juvenile fragrance something a teen to young adult would wear, but it has a dreamy, pillowy, softness to it. It's not a dupe, it's more of Jason Wu's younger more fond sister.

This reminds me of Chanel Gabrielle in that it's not bad at all, but it feels somehow incomplete, as if it's the beginnings of a promising scent, but there need to be a few more notes added to bring it to full fruition. Gabrielle smells like that, too; the start of a fragrance, but the structure is never fully realized. I will say the dry down of Jason Wu is better to me than Gabrielle (which ends on the 'thin' side) and ends up being a touch sweeter and more interesting. I think if the fig and jasmine were more prominent than the peony and pink pepper, then this would come across better to my nose, but I will say that it's not offensive, pretty in a vague way and quite office appropriate. Maybe an EDP version will feature the fig more strongly and change the overall feel of the fragrance.

I went to Ross today and saw the name Jason Wu, so I blind bought (after checking the notes/reviews here) and I am not mad at it. It’s like a more aquatic version of DS & Durga Debaser. It has the peppery note and I can smell the green fig, but it is overall very bright, green and spring. What a find! I got it for about $15. It’s a Frank Voelkl, and I’m a collector. It isn’t a linear fragrance, and dries down to a lovely light, airy fragrance while keeping the spicy pink pepper edge. Get it if you can find it at a discount store.

This fragrance was launched at Saks in 2017 and the 3 oz. eau de parfum spray retailed for $145. I have noticed it at ROSS and Marshall's in the $15-$20 range and just picked up a 1oz for $16.99. Parlux was (and still is) the manufacturer. At such an incredible price difference, has this been reformulated since 2017 to justify the sharp price decrease? If not, all the bottles found at discounters are an incredible deal.

beautiful bottle well constructed no wonder its made by an architect the linear aspects the addition of the round cap is just stunning i also love the perfume color i d just have this beauty for the bottle even if the juice wasn't that wow but i have a hunch it might smell beautiful as well !! thank you for this one of the very few beautiful bottles i ve seen lately !

Kind of a disappointment, honestly. It's a very modern mishmash that smells like most of the mass-market department store fragrances of the past few years. A bright, zingy, peony-and-jasmine-forward opening that dries down to light, aquatic nondescript florals with a touch of wood. All head and no heart. It's not offensive, but it's not remarkable or memorable either.

This was a blind buy, very cheap for a small bottle. Glad it was a small bottle because its very meh. Its light floral and I don't find it to be very different from thousands of others, lasting power is non existent on me. i will use it up, its a pleasant enough scents but if anyone wants a floral scent, there are better ones on the market

Check out Nordstrom Rack stores- I got Jason Wu perfumed body cream for 12$. It’s good to wear alone or layer it with any fragrance. My skin eats perfumes instantly, but today I actually could smell my perfume because it was layered on top of this body cream.

Not a review, but just an FYI. This is available for pre-order at Saks Fifth Avenue and the note listing, according to their website is jasmine sambac, pink pepper, fig, iris and woods. Sounds nice and the bottle is sleek looking too!

I really liked this on me. The pepper is still soft and blends well with the other tones. It is almost unisex or masculine on my skin, with zero fruitiness and almost a birch wood smell. But on my coworker it became Caress bar soap.

I actually really love this! Fresh classy floral without being old lady smelling. It does have a distinct pink pepper note, so if you don’t love pink pepper, you might not enjoy.

I judged this too soon, initially it was not projecting well but i must say it is one of the most beautiful perfumes ive owned. It's gorgeous and long lasting. I get Compliments.

I get pepper in the beginning, then a very green lily of valley followed by musk. Sadly, I do not perceive any fig. This smells a bit dated to me, I wouldn’t choose to wear it.

Best in the cooler, winter weather. In doesn't perform well in warmer weather. So do not let that deceive you it is a beautiful fragrance and long lasting.

Just tried a sample on a card. Light, floral, woody, slightly sweet, golden and a touch watery. My boyfriend says it smelled like spicy peaches.

This is a very pretty flowery fragrance but on me the pepper is overwhelming and takes too long to give way.

This is so underrated. Try to smell this if you are interested.
