Shouq

A smashingly brilliant creation by the luxury niche house of Jazeel , Shouq is tender like love, yearning like the strongest form of desire, ardent like passion, blissful like sudden happiness. A generous, flowery bouquet, highlighting a perfect contrast between Bulgarian rose and lily of the valley, revealing a romantically clean aroma to which the enveloping aura of amber, cypriol and mild spices responds. The fragrance is dazzling, voluptuous and vibrant. In the base, a perfect harmony between a soft europian style oud and dominant sandalwood hovers around the rich core of exquisite florals, the mysterious backdrop of amber and the oriental woody tones. Shouq is like a warm breeze blowing from the east across the Arabian sea, carrying the ultimate sentiments of pure love, masterfully translated in liquid form.

The most subtle oud(according to Mr. Alzaabi they used 4-5 y.o. Thai oud) I own but It's fine bc to me it's more a floral profile frag than anything else and in the floral fragrances realm it's really dope. Lasting power 8+ hrs with moderate sillage. There is not too much east nor west influence, it's in perfect harmony. Get doses of geranium, lily-of-the-valley, some earthy vetiver and musk in the base is quite distinct but the final result is appealing and balanced. Fun fact, the first time I saw the bottle I was thinking it looks like a sea and in one interview Mr. Alzaaabi said that the inspiration was actually an ocean view from his childhood period.

I saw all reviews below, its has the same soul of Alexandria II but shouq is more ambry & Floral, and the price is almost 50% less than Alexandria II , very beautiful scent I will repeat what Mr Zayas Said : its like a warm breeze blowing from the east across the Arabian sea, carrying the ultimate sentiments of pure love, masterfully translated in liquid form

Simply amazing. I definitely get the resemblance with Alexandria II but I feel like Shouq is perhaps a bit more wearable and versatile; longevity and overall performance is good, but it's not nuclear like A2.

Fresh soapy rose musky profile which has similar DNA to Alexandria II but not close in performance to the latter. For the price, has a place for its own and is office safe and quite pleasing. Unisex and all weather friendly. Shukran Habibi!
