How You Love

Honey sweet Jasmin in a composition more wonderful than I could imagine from the list of notes. Beeswax and Jasmin is dancing slowly on a green background which I can't really identify among the advertised notes. I can understand that some reviewers react on the very present beeswax note, but to my nose it works very well as long as you don't expect a classic Jasmin fragrance. I think grapefruit and cardamom is an important part of the magic behind getting Jasmin and beeswax to harmonize so well. In the dry down sandalwood and musky notes steps forward and the scent turns nicely woody-sweet, still with a touch of beeswax. With "How You Love" Dana El Masri has created a beautiful modern, but still somehow classical, scent. The feel of the song by Sade that was a source of inspiration is brilliantly caught by Dana.

I received a small sprayer of this as a free sample. I'm hooked by the harmonious progression of bright scents into a comforting dry down featuring the wonderful smelling beeswax note. Will probably buy a bottle from Dana El Masri's site (Jazmin Saraï). Even on a hot day, I like wearing it, though the beeswax could go full autumn/winter, too. It could be worn on many occasions and it's hard for me to pin it down to any one category of occasion except "smelling like me"-time. Is that being signature scent worthy?

How You Love is a swooner of a scent, the cardamom and grapefruit sing out first in a translucent perfect key before dipping into jasmine and rose and finally sinking into a gorgeous, rich beeswax, sandalwood and musk base. oh.my.gosh. dat beeswax. Its on my wish list for FB. Do listen to Sade's "Its Only Love That Gets You Through" while you first wear it as the perfumer suggests...just throw a few pillows down near by to catch you in case you pass out in a state of perfumed euphoria.

I would have never picked this perfume for myself, as I am not a fan of jasmine or honey. However, I received this as a free sample with another purchase, and it knocked me off my feet. This smells like nothing else out there, and is so worthy of being a signature scent. This perfume feels like it was inspired by the divine feminine. A knockout!

This smells like childhood innocence and butterflies -- it's the abstract smell of my cat --you know what I mean just like all that is good and innocent. It does not smell like Chasse Aux Papillons, but in terms of genre, I'd totally put them in that same sort of comforting nostalgia category.

i know many people swear by this, i really wanted to like it, but to me this is a classic example of citrus gone cleaning-detergent and idk if it's a specific combination of spices/sweets + citrus or just the type of citrus that's used, and i get more of a lemon than grapefruit.

How You Love is not for me I'm afraid. I'm getting very strong faecal aromas from this, presumably attributable to the beeswax. Scrub, scrub, scrub!

The beeswax and honey notes are present at first spray, but it dries down into a sour, almost cleaning product-like scent. Not for me

Blast of jasmines & weakened musk, & i can't smell the honey wax other than the combination of jasmines, musk, and citrus. However, at the background i can sense a bit of sandalwood, cardamom boost, and a slight of red roses. Kind of soft animalic, quite weak and requires a boost of applying. Not quite what i expected but i can't deny it's not a quality and good blend. As this is the kind of jasmine blend that i don't personally seek but i guess it works miracles for someone i know.

Mmm nice but thats about it. I love cardomom and its definitely one of the stars here along with the beeswax of course. I think there is just too much beeswax present for me. It smells too heavy and dampens the other notes. It sort of smells oily. I think if there had been more jasmin and rose than the icky beeswax then it would be a winner for me. Such a shame as I love my masalas so I had high hopes for it. Average sillage and decent longevity.

I adore this song. The scent was a bit too honey and cloying. Glad I got a small bottle.
