JD Fidele Ambre

I won a sample, in a giveaway, a year ago on here. My husband keeps it in his gym bag. Well, the other day, he came home from the gym, and he smelled really good. I didn't recognize his cologne. He showed me the vial...it was Fidele Ambre!! He likes it too!! It's reminiscent of Polo Ralph Lauren, but it's more subdued. It's just perfect. I have to say it's my favorite fragrance on my husband. Yay!! And thank you Jeffrey Dame!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!!

I just got my sample today, that I won in the giveaway!! Yay!! I know it's for men, but I just had to sample it myself. I sprayed a bit on the top of my hand. Now that it has dried down, it's kind of giving me Ralph Lauren Polo vibes. It is much more dialed down than Polo though. I really like this, and I think it's going to smell great on my husband. A winning nod to the past in a modern way, which is true JD style. Although labeled for men, like most other Dame scents Fidele Ambre spans the spectrum and distantly echoes something my perfumista mom used to wear. Stays true through the drydown and remarkable longevity.

Really great masculine barbershop/fougere type of fragrance. I get aspects of Polo and Azzaro pour Homme in Fidele Ambre, however, it's not as strident, if that's the word to use. Seems very versatile as the sillage and projection are more modest. Would work in close confines because it is more reserved and for most occasions. Definitely would fit a suit and tie. Be aware, the civet note is quite prominent, at least initially. As I mentioned, the projection is modest however the longevity is phenomenal. I got a good 11 hours out of Fidele Ambre. Easily lasts through the work day. Jeffrey Dame has a real winner here along with Juste Filthy.
