Collection Homme/Atlas Cedar

I have this, but notice that it has no reviews at all. What! So, I'm kind of obliged to write one. I hadn't heard of it, and when I purchased it, it was from a sale table and I got it inexpensively. But as a sandalwood-based fragrance, I really enjoy it. It has great sillage and decent longevity, especially compared with Bvlgari Omnia (I hope I got that right, I'll check later). I notice that topnotes including rhubarb (really? oh) and melon are listed, which is interesting, I've certainly never picked up anything like that. (Then again, listed notes can be like that.) It's very spicy. In fact, I don't notice much progression in the notes, just that it becomes milder. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think of it more like wearing sandalwood oil, but the spice is redolent. Because it is strong, it's not subtle, but again, I like that. It's obviously intended for men, but I wear it when I'm in the mood, and sometimes I will layer it to wear a scent I feel is a bit too sweet. I love the name Atlas Cedar and I assumed there was cedarwood in it, although it smelled more sandalwoody/spicy so it's interesting to know there's no cedarwood in it! The citrus element makes sense (I'm thinking of a pomander, which is orange and cloves, and how they mingle in an evocative way. Not that it smells like a pomander, but I can see how the citrus is present.) Bottle design is OK, but the cap looks cheap (80s in a bad way). But I often leave the cap off fragrances for ease of use, and they are often plastic, the cap of my Obsession looks cheap to me and I remember I thought the cap for Opium looked similar. With the cap on, I'm not the biggest fan of the angles combined with the small font. Without the cap, the design somehow just looks kind of minimalist to me in a pleasing way. (Obviously no big deal, I'm just the only one saying anything here so I thought I would mention everything I could think of.) Note, the bottle design for Brousseau's female fragrances look gorgeous, there's a violet fume which sounds interesting.

Ok I am the second reviewer and the only one wearing today in the Fragrantica community, so I feel compelled to write something about it. I first tried the aftershave balm and I liked it, so I was hunting for a good deal online to get the EDT, so finally I did and yes is a different approach once you wear the cologne, this one somehow has a set of notes quite different, I am not a nose trained person but I think I'm getting the rhubarb note as a dominant note in the opening , and just because I noticed the same kind of smell in other cologne I have with such note, and I didn't even know how rhubarb smelled like, but I am guessing is that one 'cause is the most unknown to me. Anyhow I liked it overall, the sillage lasted on me for about 2 hrs, and now it is very closed to the skin, no compliments or comments so far, and I did sprayed it lavishly, so no problem with getting people annoyed with it. I can say is a good scent, but not my favorite form this designer, so far "Fruit the Bois" is the one. Ok after almost 5 hrs. of wearing it I got the first compliment, and I was actually asked to write it down, and I guess the sillage change after all these hrs been wearing it, and when my body temperature rose up while I was eating something that made me sweat a little;then the sillage spread, so I think this is a great frag for the warmer-hot Summer days.
