Ombre Rose Edition d'Exception Eau de Parfum

This one made me let go off my Teint de Neige EdT. While both are baby powder scents, Teint de Neige was so cloying that it would suffocate me if I sprayed more than three times. This on the other hand, is so easy to use and never feels cloying even if you put on more than ten sprays. It's such a versatile fragrance. A clean, soapy, creamy baby powder dream of a fragrance!

A mini journey into purity. A pure baby powder scent that embodies all pure emotions. Inoffensive. Iris, rose and musk are the most prominent notes. I was surprised that there was a honey note because I didn't feel any sweetness. Just powdery, soft, pleasing. Pretty good for daily use in women, has an aroma with a feeling of tenderness without exaggerating.

I was very excited about my recent blind-buy Ombre Rose EdP thinking that I could finally find my dreamy make-up perfume. First spray has made me feel very happy and nostalgic, because it was smelling excatly like a face cream or foundation (Tokalon) from 1980's. I have found this initial phase quite similar also with Donna Karan Cashmere Mist EdT. But then it has developed from floral into a muskier cloud, that I could hardly tolerate. Aldehydes also started to become clear. After an hour or more, musk has regressed and sandalwood has risen to the leading role. At this point, it was smelling very close to Guerlain Samsara surprisingly. I knew that my skin amped up musk and woods. So I tried it on fabrics, it remained more floral and sandalwood was more blended into composition. Best way to wear Ombre Rose is to keep it far from my face, otherwise it's suffocating for me even as a powder lover.
