Classique Eau de Parfum Airlines

I wanted this blue beauty for such a long time, and, finally it's mine! This cobolt blue dressed perfume fits my wardrobe perfectly, and it smells heavenly on my skin, it's like a blueprint of my much beloved alcohol free Classique Summer Fragrance from 1999, witch is not listed her on Fragrantica yet, pitty, it's also such a wonderful scent. And, yes, I think I can "fly without wings" with this intocicating perfume, even though it's not a lightweighter, but rather heavy and dark, perfect for automn, and winter, and also for summer and springtime; the ginger comes first, and than the vanilla and amber, and tonka, flowers, and sunshine, and I enjoy dreaming of fitting that little s.. blue dress :o)) And PS, yes, it's written in the bottom: Classique Pin Up Eau de Parfume.

In the beginning there is a weird note on my skin, hard to describe, borderline something green. I was surprised orange blossom is not listed because I get a lot of orange blossom as well in the beginning instead of rose. After a few minutes though, it transforms into the most beautiful sweet and powdery vanilla, and stays like that for a very long time, very unique. Love it.

This fragrance has become addictive, sweet creamy and sensual with a brightness. Vibes like my favs Killian love and libre le parfum.

The notes are totally wrong. It's just the Classique Pin Up juice in a different bottle. It has it written on the bottom of my bottle. There's no rum in this and I don't pick up any rose either but it might be there as it's in the og Classique and this, to my nose, shares a lot of the same DNA. Read through the reviews for Pin Up if you want to get a lot of opinions on this one as this page hasn't got many. I'd not used this in ages but I've got about 15ml left out of a 50ml that my mam gave me. After getting obsessed with Love Don't Be Shy recently and seeing Pin Up was supposed to be similar I was super excited to use it again. Especially seeing it had marshmallow in it. I've always thought this smelled quite similar to the original but with something sort of strange and "off" about it. Not off as in turned, just off as in not quite right. Anyway, after trying it again today I do think it's a tiny bit like Love but WAY less sweet and more soapy. Some people might prefer that as Love can be too sick and sugary. I prefer Love though as I adore super sweet perfumes. This is a more "perfumey" version of Love. It's got a strange, sharp opening but there's a nice bit of ginger. Once it dries down a bit there's still a very animalic funky smell but I don't mind that. I find LDBS to have a similar animalic accord from the musk and civet. Then it's mainly soapy orange blossom with a touch of sweetness. There's a creamy, slightly powdery vibe. It's a nice perfume, I really like it, and there's a reason I used so much of the bottle I've got when I only about 7 perfumes but it's not in any way a dupe for Love. If you're thinking of buying it as a cheaper alternative to Love though you'll need very disappointed. There's barely any marshmallow or vanilla. You're better off by miles getting something like the Dossier version of LDBS or some other clone company. I've got a couple of clones of Love and a travel size of the real one and I actually prefer one of my clones as the marshmallow is much more prominent and it's a lot stronger. This is closer to the original Classique than Love but if you're not buying it as a dupe and just as it's own stand alone then it's definitely a really good fragrance. (edited to add that REALLY far into the dry down you do get whiffs of it that resemble Love but still not as sweet and by that time it's faded to mostly a skin scent anyway). Although it's closer to the og Classique than Love it is still different enough from Classique to be noticeable. The reason I've got it is because my mam likes Classique and got this as a gift and didn't like it. She actually thought it was a cheap knock off until I told her it was a flanker and offered her it back but she didn't want it. The actual cheap knock off that she also gave me, it's on my list of perfumes I own, smells much more like the og than this does. Performance wise it's OK, not quite as strong as I like my perfumes to be but definitely not bad. I haven't oversprayed like I usually would owing to the fact I haven't got loads left and I can smell it on myself nearly an hour later. I imagine other people would be able to smell it even better. If I sprayed my usual amount it'd probably project how I want it to.

Testing some of my older scents, or scents I don't use as much anymore, today. Crazy that nine people voted no for it smelling like the cabaret flanker when it's literally the same perfume 😂 anyway, my bottle of this is super dark orange now and a lovely, strong, musky*, orange blossom, animalic, amber floral with a lovely kick of ginger. I'm so mad I didn't realise what it was til I hardly had any left. I'd have kept it for as long as possible. I do see the resemblance to LDBS more now but not Oriana. That's too fresh and citrusy. I'm cherishing the last ten ml or so I have left. It's a beautiful scent. *Musk isn't listed but I can really smell it
