a stunning red corset ouhh she’s SKINNY !! Idk when will I ever lose in the lottery of blind buys because literally everything I own is a blind buy and I enjoy them all very much, and ofc I have zero regrets in spending a good amount of money in them. I mainly got this because in the EDT version, people voted it as a similar fragrance to PDM Safanad and I just love how all the notes sound like in Safanad, especially as a slave for orange blossoms 🍊 I. LOVE. ORANGE. BLOSSOMS. 😡 A lot of people said the EDT was better the EDP smelled more rum-y-vanilla-cream no ginger and stuff but sorry i beg to differ. Whatever everyone was describing in the EDT is exactly what I’m smelling in this EDP version 😭 all the reckless “orange toilet cleaner, bug spray” comments. IT’S ALL IN HERE [EDP]. Classique EDP 2017 starts off superrr ✨z e s t y💃 and gingery. Surprisingly, it doesn’t quickly develop to its deeper and richer notes, instead, it savors every fizz and bubbles from the refreshing, tangy, and citrusy champagne with ginger ale (LOOVEEEESSS ITTTTT it’s very refreshing!) 15 mins in and it develops into a dark rum with flat syrupy cola that reminds me of anise, root beer, play-doh, cherry syrup, and almond. It’s an inception of my fave notes 🧚 the vanilla totally plays in and gives it a non-gourmand creaminess and ofc you gotta love how tonka bean is a no-brainer partner for vanilla as it gives it a “frosted” feel to it. Most people claimed this had rose, boudoir vibes, makeup powder, moulin rouge but I’ll say it again i. beg. to. disagree. She’s not as sexy-skank as most people described her to be. 🤷 She’s just a simple woman who wants to be treated seriously in her suit and tie, she has a masculine edge but she still has that subtle femininity that makes her sweet but mysterious. She’s giving “Ma’am, I respect your intimidating aura but I know you have a soft side and I adore it.” Idk what vibe y’all get from this but all our noses work differently so ymmv but yeah i don’t get boudoir, powder, soapy, lace corset, red lip? no. earrings? no. high heels? no. handbag? nooooo. stan clc Oh and no rose petals from her. To my nose she’s a bright, fizzy, bubbly, citrusy, cinnamon-infused champagne that slowly develops into a sweet rum with vanilla cream soda-esque root beer and finishes off as a dusty almond, cooled anise bread like a biscotti or something, and licorice-smelling play doh (the cinnamon is still really present, not to mention it’s present in all its stages but it gets softer) Weirdly enough, after blind buying this, i was trying to find bottles of dior addict 2002 and YSL Manifesto which are discontinued and overpriced in the grey market but to my surprise, i read in the reviews of dior addict that it smells super cinnamon-y, overdosed on orange blossom, and has an almondy vanilla dry down + a lot of them said it reminds them of ck obsession. For reference I have the men’s version but isn’t far from the og women’s. Wellll... i totally got the ck obsession vibe from Classique EDP as it instantly reminded me of its obnoxious cinnamon smell lol and oh...please don’t hate me for this it also reminded me of Joop! Homme (viciously over hated and doesn’t deserve it). It makes sense that some people think Classique EDP reminds them of Dior Addict bc of its similar cinnamony orange and spiced vanilla scent that is reminiscent of ck obsession. + Dior addict and YSL Manifesto are interchangeable dupes of both perfumes. Thank goodness for that, I don’t have to spend another fortune for a blind-bought bottle of perfume. I’m glad that Classique is enough to quench that thirst for a Dior addict +YSL manifesto DNA. Man I guess I’m lucky with my blind buys. The world loves me 😍 or I’m just delusional but whatever. Love classique !! Jean Paul Gaultier Classique 2017 was a serendipitous blind buy for me, marking my first foray into the world of Jean Paul Gaultier's perfumes. I bought it blind online. The bottle, a stunning embodiment of femininity and allure with its iconic body silhouette, was my first hint that I was in for a unique experience. I had always taken notice of these gorgeous bottles, so I decided to get one of my own. Upon first sniff, the perfume evoked a wave of nostalgia, transporting me back to the early 2000s. Memories of accompanying my mother to high-end stores, surrounded by the latest fashions, ambient lighting, and music, flooded my senses. It was like a portal to cherished, aspirational moments from my past. However, my initial spray was jarring. The dominant alcohol, possibly the rum note, was off-putting. It smelled like straight rubbing alcohol. As someone unaccustomed to boozy perfumes, this was a surprise. I sprayed the fragrance both on my skin and on my clothing. Unfortunately, the fragrance didn't linger on my clothing as expected, was quickly replaced by the mundane scent of my laundry detergent after just about 2 hours. But the true essence of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique 2017 revealed itself during the dry-down phase on my skin. It transformed into a magical concoction, interacting uniquely with my skin chemistry. The evolution of the scent was enchanting, with each sniff presenting a different facet of its complex personality. In its final stage, the perfume settled into a sweet, floral, warm spicy melody, tinged with vanilla and an indescribable luxuriousness. It was powdery but it wasn't the overpowering, dated powderiness one might expect. Instead, it was a refined, opulent powder, reminiscent of classic beauties like Marilyn Monroe or Dita Von Teese. The fragrance is dynamic, exuding sexiness without being one-dimensional. Creating an almost ethereal cloud, the perfume's magic lies in its subtlety when smelled up close, yet its presence is undeniable, enveloping you in a glamorous, rich aura. The lasting power is impressive, maintaining its enchanting scent for hours. Jean Paul Gaultier Classique 2017 is a fragrance that defies easy description. It's a scent that needs to be experienced on the skin, as a test strip doesn't do justice to its transformative and captivating qualities. For those willing to embark on a unique olfactory journey, this perfume promises a luxurious, memorable experience. It is dynamic and delicious. I will be purchasing it again.

As a teenager, back in the early 00’s I bought a Milton Lloyd dupe of Classique, not knowing at the time what it was a dupe of. I used to love the fragrance because it smelled so soapy but sweet as well. I bought another bottle of the dupe a few years ago which I wear from time to time and wanted to try the genuine Classique for comparison. I bought the EDT at first but had to sell it because the orange blossom smelled too animalic on me and turned a bit sour. A lot of orange blossom notes in perfumes do this on my skin at the moment, I can only assume it might be due to reformulation as JLo Glow now smells awful on me. I got a decant of the EDP from Scentaddict and it delivers the creamy, sweet soap vibe of the Milton Lloyd dupe but of course better blended and more long lasting. It works on my skin like how I wanted the EDT to. Despite the difference in notes to the EDT I don’t perceive a huge difference. some say the EDP smells like the original formula of the EDT, maybe that is what it is. It’s a bit of an acquired taste, my mum can’t stand it on me and it could be a little overwhelming if oversprayed. I think it’s appropriate for all occasions and seasons except high heat. I love the cheeky vintage imagery that they market this perfume with, and I love the story telling that Gaultier use as well with their perfumes. Their website is a joy for perfume lovers. I wish they’d bring MaDame back, it was so unusual, but I digress. This could easily be a signature, I can wear this when out on errands or for a date or night out. It is such a classic.

So I decided to re-do my review after wearing this one again. I love it now! But I do love the EdT just a teeny bit more (my preference is for powdery scents). It’s very similar to the EdT, but sweeter, rosier and less powdery/soapy. Mandarin orange and rum instead of orange blossom makes this one sweeter. Tonka bean makes it thicker and more suited for evenings or cooler weather, but the EdT is good for all year round, day to night, and feels ‘cleaner’ because of its powderiness and the sharp orange blossom note, EdP is more dense, more modern, but performance is the same, both EdP and EdT have moderate sillage and excellent longevity. People within arms length of you will notice your perfume and you will smell beautiful. EdP has a more glamorous/modern feel, and EdT is more classic/lady-like, but both are devastatingly sensuous in equal measure. I’m happy to have both! Update: I’ve been reaching for this a lot and I think I prefer it over the EdT now! It’s surprisingly versatile, and not too much for daytime or any occasion (sprayed conservatively). I don’t find it too sweet or too thick anymore, infact the orange note here is quite fresh and clean, abit soapy even, with all the other notes making the fragrance more complex and intricate. It has the perfect amount of sensuous vanillic sweetness and never gets cloying, I wore a few sprays on a warm summer night and it was wonderful, not too much, beautiful feminine sillage that gracefully lingers for several hours.

I bought this original one in 1993 and since that I haven’t wanted to be without this in my collection. That was my signature scent for years, at least 7 years and I never got bored. I have owned MANY bottles. Now as I have this Collector 2017 edition I don’t love it as much as the original one back in the days. This is like watered down and more sweet. There is missing that intoxicating a little bit powdery feeling which I got from the og Classique. Actually when I bought it I didn’t know that the scent is not the same. So now I have og Classique parfum which has been macerated well many years and the scent is amazing and this Collector version as well. Since I felt in love with niche world I haven’t been wearing this so often and I wanted to have that original Classique. It has always the place in my heart and on the shelf. Since this scent is a legendary I just wanted to share history with this scent, I don’t think so many needs the scent it self analyzed. I give this 5/10, it’s still sexy and seductive, but it’s not deep and addictive like I wanted it to be and it’s a little bit cloying. Anyway it has a great projection, sillage and longevity. This is NOT the same as the original Eau de Parfum from the 90's. The notes may be the same, just with added Mandarin, but I assure you there is a difference. I sprayed this on one arm, and the original on the other, within seconds of each other. The original (well at least todays version of it) only lasted on my arm for about 2 hours, and then I could hardly smell it. This one lasted a full 10 hours and I could still smell it. Also, this is fresher and seems to have much less vanilla then the original. Although the Mandarin is a top note in this, I can still smell it in the base. AS I mentioned before, that the notes are roughly the same, but must be mixed at different strengths to the original. Some notes are toned down, whilst others are enhanced, with added Mandarin. Until we have actually tested these fragrances, we cannot assume that they are the same, as notes can be played around with, and enhanced, toned down etc. That is certainly the case here. Much stronger than todays version of the original, and very much different to it. Todays version of the original dried down on my skin to be a generic vanilla. This one is anything but a generic vanilla, and is much more interesting. I would suggest testing before you buy it.

This 2017 edition and the current one are all ABOUT the dry down! The first 20-30 mins are very heavy on the florals and to be honest...not my fav. The beginning of this fragrance is like a 90s version of Mugler Alien. Not a "bad" thing, but I am not a floral lover. Once this begins to soften, the magic begins. The warm and boozy vanilla comes in and the florals take a back seat. My aunt used to wear this years & years ago. She was a glamorous woman with big, teased hair, tons of makeup, false lashes, long nails, high heels and stirrup pants :) This fragrance somehow smelled even better with her cigarettes (and I hate smoking). As a guy I wear this, but I just make sure to apply it before an event or going out...so I get the amazing dry down. Very long lasting, but after 30 mins or so the nuclear strength and projection softens and I always get tons of compliments. Even guys ask me "what cologne are you wearing"? LOL If you only knew...ha ha ha

I bought this after years of adoration for JPG Classique edt. The edp seemed a bit more different so I became interested to try it out. I agree with earlier comments about it being not as sharp in comparison to the edt. On the first spray it did remind me of the sharp and soapy florals of the edt but it was only a fleeting moment. Instead the boozy and sweet notes of rum, vanilla and amber took over. The notes of rose in this one feels more like rosewater, which is not a bad thing to my taste. The whole compostion makes me think of a sweet vanilla dessert drenched in rum and rosewater. Sweet yet intriguing. It's very soft and warm. It feels also very seductive. I love Classique edt but I fully understand that its sharp floral notes can be a turn off for others. Therefore give this one a try if you did not enjoy Classique edt.

Glamour and boudoir. I find this perfume very sensual, sexual. Strong vanilla and sweet orange, and yes rum or something very intoxicating, addictive that makes you wobbly or confused with desire. It is deep, sultry and almost carnal. I also find it rather powdery. I agree with the opinion below, it's very cabaret, can-can dancer in burgundy red feathers, so yes a bit old school vibes but still modern. I totally see Betty Poop wearing this as well or a 2023 Marilyn Monroe or Rita Hayworth. It holds really well on the skin, eternally on clothes and IMO, I find it ideal for going out at night, in particular dating or clubbing. You will be noticed and remembered, surely a neck breaker. I'd wear it when it's hot and/or humid if I want to knock people out and make sure nobody comes to talk to me hahahaha

This fragrance is absolutely intoxicating. I definitely still smell the Classique DNA so the similarity is there, but this version is a teeny bit less powdery and fresh, and more sultry and daring. The rum note amps up the amber and vanilla to give the scent a gourmand feel. The dry down is sweet and yummy, a mouthwatering combination. Although this is an EDP I find the lasting power less than that of the EDT which is curious to me. This is easy to wear as long as you enjoy scents that are gourmand and sweet. I don't like this as much as the original but it's a gorgeous flanker that is great for when I want to mix things up. Edit: after wearing this scent for a couple days, I actually prefer this version over the original. The rum makes it so scrumptious and sweet, I can't stop smelling myself!!

Boozy, powdery sweet, wonderful scent. It smells like you are a pin up girl in the 50's, or a dancer at the Moulin Rouge (Gitchie, gitchie, ya-ya, da-da). Strong lasting, sexy and powerful scent who instantly makes you sultry, sensual, sexy. It's intense with the booziness of the Rum, the intensity of the Tonka Bean, Sandalwood and Amber. There's a powderyness to the blend that, I think, is comming from the Rum, Sandalwood and Vanilla. It's floral in a sexy and delicate way with this Orchid, Rose, Narcissus. And there's a fruity-juiciness with that mouth watering Sicilian Mandarin. It's giving French lofty diva vibes, 8.5/10 <3333

Classique EDP is so beautiful, warm and sweet but not cloying. It smells just like I pictured. If you love La Belle like me you will probably like this 🥰 It's a different profile and maybe less sweet than La Belle, but so so nice. It reminds me a little bit of Miss Dior EDP 2021 but less juicy/floral and no Iris. It also has whispers of TF Lost Cherry but no distinctive cherry note. You can find Classique at Macy's. I'm interested in trying the EDT sometime too. Eta: I realize the rose reminds me a bit of rosewater, which is a positive for me. Pretty!

I have the newer version, and what comes directly to my mind is Dior addict edp same vanilla tonka feeling to me . But in a way jonger version . I love Dior addict but sometimes it’s to sophisticated to me for al day use . I’m really like this perfume it strong enough for night and good for day as well . It’s my new signature sent for a wile before it was a signature sent of a old friend of mine I didn’t like the perfume that time ,I can really tel it’s chances again.it’s now made in France before in Barcelona.

Jean Paul Gaultier is one of those brands that you can't really go wrong with as far as I'm concerned. This was a blind by for me and I'm so happy with it. It's sweet vanilla against that beautiful rose, and then you add some spiced rum in there to shake things up. JPG does these gorgeous classical notes and combines them with something interesting and you never have anything else in your collection quite like it. Sexy, seductive, but in an empowering and affluent way. Love this one!

Oh my god ! I found another signature scent !!!! This juice is a holy grail ! It’s sophistication , class and ladylike femininity in a bottle ! It is classic but not dated , a timeless beauty! Classique Eau de Parfum smells to me like a marshmallow(even tho not listed) soaked in rosewater that is infused with rum and vanilla. A sweet, boozy sexy fragrance ! It’s soooo sexy and classy I really can’t get over it ! It’s definitely my signature and I can wear this at any occasion!

This is just the most gorgeous perfume, I hadn't worn it for a while as I was trying out other perfumes, went back to it today and wondered why I didn't just stick with this in the first place. A sexy fragrance with the most wonderful vanilla dry down. I won't be able to put this down again now Edit: months later I still cannot get enough! To me this fragrance is amazing! I love it! It’s not only Classique it’s also ICONique! It’s a little boozy, vanilla a little powdery but a lot sexy! I love it so much! Definitely would recommend and purchase again. It’s something that just makes me feel confident and powerful. It’s sexy it’s sophisticated it’s classy. It’s everything I want in a fragrance and more! Definitely in my top 10 fragrances of all time!

Gaultier EDP is currently, possibly my most long term signature scent. I wasn't sure of this reform for a long while and I alternate, still, between this and the older bottles, but overall I just love it all. Really old bottles have too much tonka, or it at least really amps up with age and makes me less keen. Honestly, I just feel really at home in my skin when I wear my Gaultier.

I am confused about this one. Can anyone tell me if this is a new version of the original edp or the same? I have been wearing the original edp with the lace for the last 7 years and to me this one smells a little different and sweeter at the base note. I do not hope that the one with the lace will be discontinued as it is my signature scent and I have to buy a lot of them now.

This one really takes me back. Back to the 90` s where I had my first Jean Paul Classique. Super sexy and feminine. Silage and longevity is amazing!!! The bottle itself is a masterpiece. Flowers, powder, tonka and vanilla. Jean Paul I adore you, you make memories fly in my mind and covers me in a scent thats really out there. You suit my personality. Stunning bottle !

Something citric and liqueur opens, giving way to an extremely floral and opulent heart sweetened with vanilla and amber. I find it simple and pleasant to use. The substantivity in my skin reaches the 8 hours with strong to moderate diffusion.

I bought a tester of this - only way I could find it. This is AMAZING. I will be rationing this fragrance. It's sexy, alluring, and absolutely gorgeous. I don't understand why it's discontinued. A beautiful fragrance from opening to dry down.

Wow! One spray is all you need! The boozy Sweetness lasts and lasts and lasts. Smells nothing like Classique. Love the bottle too. So happy I got this one. Great for a night out dancing, if we can ever do that again!

I was initially a bit confused whether this was a new perfume, so for all others who might be in doubt: this is JPG Classique edp in a different bottle. Love this perfume, the bottle looks great as well!

Incredibly pretty bottle and an amazing perfume!!!! I do smell the rum after 15 minutes of initial spray. First I smell the roses and white flowers, then it’s rum, then it is all vanilla..Super sexy.

For me same category as alien and black opium , going out fragrance. This fragrance smells seductive, something between alien and dior addict . Amber vanilla and Jasmin not one of the notes I know

If you layer this EdP with the EdT, it smells like the older formulation of Classique from 15+ years ago when it was richer and more complex. I have both and I prefer wearing them together.

The most beautiful bottle yet! I love the fragrance and was undecided on which bottle design to purchase. When this comes out in Australia I think it may be the one!

very pretty amber vanilla scent with a subtle booziness from the rum. slightly spicy at the top giving it the right kick. this is an easy reach for me.

Subtle, feminine, timeless, classy. Doesn't last too long, doesn't project too far, blends well with the skin - perfect for an intimate setting.

Sweet without being sickly. Slightly spicy and smooth. Timeless fragrance. I wear this when I want to feel like a proper grown up!

Opens with a lot of sandalwood and warm florals that I associate with classic perfumes! It reminds me of scents I grew up around, which were definitely formative.. I don't see this as smelling "old" at all! Only... Classique? On drydown, I get a lot of sandalwood made smoother by the vanilla and rum!~ the florals and mandarin are more understated and probably help keep this from being too overpowering.. It is a thick scent though! It gets smoother and sweeter as it goes ♡ Classique is a scent that begs for a classy style to match! Not necessarily vintage, but polished and adult... Finding out that Dita loves it makes perfect sense! I already had a soft spot for my bottle, but that adds to its charm~ Its a fall and winter scent through and through! A bit heavy for daytime, so its best suited for a night out~

This one is the only one I can find in Italy under Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Eau de Parfum, so I don't know whether this is a new perfume/flanker or the same one rebottled. I got a sample of this at Sephora Italy (it's so nice how you don't have to buy anything and you can just ask for a sample of something and they make you a free decant and they fill it up to the top). At first spray, in the shop, even my friend said whoa this is too strong. And she uses Alien... I suggest using a veeeeeeeeeery light hand of this as it is a sillage and projection bomb. I can sense the vanilla, and a sweeter, boozier drydown compared to Classique EDT. It has that same distinctive soapy floral vibe that EDT has, but this is sweeter and boozier. A very nice fragrance.

Powdery vanilla and orange blossom. Nice but not as special as it once was. There’s nothing bawdy about this scent, much to my chagrin. I miss the opening blast of hairspray and acetone that I loved so much in the original. I hate to be that person who endlessly laments the vicissitudes of reformulation but I will join the chorus...I prefer the 90’s version. If you want to smell sweet and powdery and “nice” give this a try. Look elsewhere for unique or challenging fragrances. I’m probably being much too hard on this beauty, but I know her from way back and she’s changed. Of the current versions, I prefer the EDT...it’s drier,crisper and spicier. All that being said, I always get compliments when I wear this. And...the bottle is adorable.

This is gorgeous and more similar to original classique I went through many bottles of in my youth than the current EDT. Rounder and less sharp than the edt The notes listed on offical website, basenotes, parfumo etc is: Top: mandarin Middle: orchid Base: vanilla There are obviously more notes than the ones above, it does have the classique dna, but it smells like a more modern and contemporary formulation. I just received my bottle and I will love wearing this, while not identical to the vintage it still feels like a blast from the past. The reformulated Classique unfortunately doesn't work for me, but this sure does!

This one is undeniably sexy and well done, but I could never quite warm up to it. Don’t get me wrong...the longevity is impressive and the sillage is strong, but I’ll always be a Classique EDT girl at heart. On my skin, it leans too sweet. The opening is quite bold, almost overwhelming, but it softens into something more subtle and sensual as it dries down. I’d absolutely compliment it on someone else, it’s just not my cup of tea. P.S. I read it’s a favourite of Dita Von Teese, and honestly, I wasn’t the least bit surprised! Ha.

Ooh I got tricked today. I was after the cabaret with ginger which I thought was this. But gosh what a great smell, musg have been the rum and vanilla and daffodil. This is nowhere near sugar town which is great, I got tonka with that warm rounded clean depth, the top end of this is fab, so different, it's not a freshie, but has cleanliness and deep rounded warmth, its warmed up a hit in the same way honey does, (not the same as scandal). I'll go finebthebginger scent I was actually looking for, but this was a nice surprise

I gifted this to my Mum and to see her smell this for the first time was a beautiful moment. Head back, eyes rolled and a larger than life smile. She was in love. This reminds her of her once beloved Revlon Love That Red that doesn't seem to exist anywhere in perfume form or have anything written about it. To me this is a softer more subdued version of the EDT. It's quite a warm boozy ambery floral, comforting and intimate. A like for me but an absolute love for Mum.

Classique edp is quite sharp and old fashioned in the beginning much like the edt. I’m not sure which I like more. There are similarities, but different enough to own both. I don’t get much rose and I wish there was more orchid, but the dry down is very nice. Something gives me the impression of honey. I am glad to have a travel size as Classique edp is getting harder to find and more expensive. It’s a shame that it’s discontinued because it is a classic.

Opens up with a strong, impactful and very in-your-face amber-ish vanilla and somewhat alcoholic scent. Then dries down into a more wearable floral. Very mature, sweet and intense but not a safe blind buy at all. That said it totally works for winter nighttime occasions and lasts a very long time.

Absolutely delicious, in the style of Dior - Poison Girl or Lancome - Hypnose. Truly mesmerizing. But the longevity and projection are the bad aspects for me. It projects for about an hour and then it's just an intimate scent. But you can still smell it the next day on clothes.

This is a nice, tame and feminine scent. I didn't feel any "scent bomb" here, although my bottle is old enough and has settled. Also doesn't last impressively long. Anyway, because it has been discontinued it will probably fall into obscurity.

Very classy perfume. The rose is definitely the star but without being overbearing. Kind of soapy, I would say, but not in an offputting way. This is a little too mature for my personal taste but would be beautiful on someone else.

You definitely get the Classique EDT dna upon first spray. Heavy white florals. Once it settles down you do get a warmer, richer vanilla base coming through. Better than the EDT, which I really dislike, but not at all the boozy, deep vanilla powerhouse I hoped it would be. Generic, “perfumey” floral with a vanilla base. Sillage and longevity are both moderate. You would need to reapply to make it through the workday. Underwhelming. I got this for Mother’s Day, and I already have it posted for sale. Not at all to my taste. Dior Addict has been my signature scent since 2009. This in no way, shape or form is reminiscent of Addict. I also disagree with the comment below, that if you like La Belle you may like this too. La Belle is all softness and sweet, gourmand with a vetiver base. This is sharp old school florals. La Belle is very much a modern scent, whereas this type of smack you in the face heavy floral definitely harkens to a bygone era. I do think Classique EDP is okay once you hit the mid and dry down. But Classique Essence de parfum and La Belle both blow this out of the water. I was quite underwhelmed by La Belle at first, as I don’t find it to be the powerhouse so many proclaim it to be; yet the scent itself is soft, pleasant and inoffensive. Classique EDP has the right formula to overwhelm those around you. Not a safe blind buy if you are looking for a deep boozy vanilla treat.

I bought it because of the bottle. I didn’t like it on the first spray, it reminded me of Chanel no. 5 red which I don’t like. But I gave it another try, I’m beginning to like it more. The chanel no5 vibe lasts about 30 mins max, after it smells like rum raisin ice cream with rose water. It’s not sweet and easy going like la belle. It’s more mysterious, sexy and deep. Like a badass sexy lady. I thought I don’t like it initially but now I think it does something to me. But I guess not for everyone. It’s more for evening and colder months.

I have this one and the Essence de Parfum, only JPG I tried except the Scandal and Scandal by night, which I find yummy but strong. Classique Essence de Parfum and Classique are not very similar but both unfortunately remind me of one thing only, toilet cleanser. Unfortunate blind buys. Apart from smelling like a public bathroom along a highway, there is something about this one. It is not me and I don't just mean because I don't like it so much but because it literally smells like a person I don't know. Even though I don't know her I have an oddly clear picture of her. She is a pretty girl or woman in the 90's, wearing a short stretchy velvet dress. She is loving but not at all sophisticated, living unglamorously in a tiny apartment and getting by maybe serving at a restaurant. A loyal unselfish friend, warm and lonely, romantic and longing for love but just meeting the wrong guys out partying at night. Well, I see her as clearly as if she were standing in front of me when I spray this perfume and close my eyes. What is that about? That and a public bathroom.
