Classique Pin Up

Beautiful, Sweet, citrusy, bright, floral, radiant, fresh, powdery, fluffy, warm, uplifting, softly warm spicy, rich, intoxicating, feminine, classy, elegant, polished, chic, sensual, seductive, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, divine, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, intriguing, inviting, cozy, comforting I’ve been wanting this one for quite a while, and finally snagged a bottle! I’m definitely not disappointed, it’s pretty much what I had been hoping for based off reading the notes and description. I was nervous that I wouldn’t get much marshmallow, but to my delight it’s very prominent on me. On me this opens with bright and fresh citron, warm spicy ginger, sweet and citrusy floral orange blossom, and sweet, fluffy, and powdery marshmallow. As it dries down the citron becomes softer and less sharp, the orange blossom and marshmallow stay prominent, and the sensual, powdery, and cozy vanilla and golden warmth of amber become prominent. Overall, I get a beautiful, classy, smooth, and seductive citrusy and floral vanilla marshmallow that’s warmed with golden amber. I do think this is similar to Kilian LDBS. This is a bit more citrusy, with warm spicy ginger, and has the JPG Classique DNA, but otherwise I do get the sweet and floral orange blossom and marshmallow that are prominent in LDBS. I get a slight similarity to Kilian Princess because of the ginger and marshmallow combo. However, Princess is much more delicate, lacks the orange blossom and citron, and has a beautiful matcha tea note. I also think it’s similar to Oriana, except this has a lot more depth with its ambery vanilla base. I’m a fan of JPG fragrances, and own a few others as well... the original Classique (lace corset bottle), Classique X, La Belle, and La Belle Flower Edition, all of which I enjoy very much. I also want to mention how gorgeous these bottles are. I love how Classique Pin Up has the glittery pink/rose gold corset or dress. It’s so sparkly and glamorous. This definitely feels feminine to me, and like it would work for women of any age. I think this actually works well year round because it’s sweet and warm enough for colder weather, yet not too sweet or cloying for warmer weather. It’s a great fragrance for pretty much any occasion too. I get excellent performance with Classique Pin Up. The longevity is really impressive, it lasts the entire day on me, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is great, it radiates out a few feet from me. I also don’t need to apply much for this effect, so I do consider this to be a good value. The only downside is that this was a limited edition fragrance which is now discontinued. Unfortunately, it’s not super easy to find now, but it’s worth it if you can find it for a decent price. I was really nervous about purchasing Pin Up due to the mixed reviews, but I found a 100ml tester for 40 euros and I couldn't pass this stunning bottle up. I already own Wonder Woman Eau Fraiche and Essence de Parfum and I love both despite not really being a sweet fragrance fan. JPG has converted me! Pin Up sits squarely between the two and will be an amazing transitioning scent for autumn and early spring. This is a sweet orange blossom bomb! The opening is not sharp or screechy to my nose, but because of the citron and ginger, the opening is a bit bright and green—assertive but not aggressive. The rest is orange blossom-scented marshmallows that melt a bit over time and go from fluffy to gooey. Even 10 hours later I catch wiffs of vanilla and soft orange blossom. It's lovely. Longevity is fantastic and this fragrance projects quite well. I'm so pleasantly surprised and really glad I decided to pick this up. She's a gem for those who love sweet orange blossom perfumes.

This is lovely. It opens a bit strange and funky (“perfumy”), but 15 min later this smells like Oriana by PDM. Fruity colorful mini marshmallows. Out of the scents I know, I’d say this is closest to Oriana. Also similar to LDBS, but this has a spicy fruity marshmallow vibe where LDBS is more vanilla. I started down a JPG blind buying rabbit hole after falling in love with Scandal by Night, which I expected to hate, and instantly became one of my top 5 favorites ever. This flanker is my 2nd fav JPG so far. I don’t normally like a lot of modern sweet candy gourmands because they smell extremely fake and cloying on my skin, but this and the other JPGs I’ve tried seem to turn into magic on my skin, especially when I’m a bit dirtier and due for a shower. Never had scents work so well with my chemistry. Now I guess I need to fill my vanity with torso and leg bottles!

I have absolutely no idea if this really is a new fragrance or if it is just a new package of the original edp - maybe someone can tell me? But I tried it on in the perfume shop today, as I went there for some face powder, and I just say, I absolutely LOVE it! It is Saturday today, and they have closed for the day, but on Monday I will have to go back and ask for a sample!! That’s the only thing I can do now, unfortunately, since I am quite poor right now. So I will just have to be patient - I will buy this, when I can!! So soft, warm, fresh, powdery and creamy - will be lovely even for summer, but then all year around! I personally don’t read this as a gourmand, but yet - it is so delicious I don’t need a cookie for my coffee. I just sit here in my favourite chair and sniff my arm, getting closer to my ideal weight..! 😊

Too bad I get easily noseblind with Pin Up because it's become a big favourite for me. My nose is far from trained so I cannot give a detailed review but to me Classique Pin Up is happy and bright citrus floating on something sweet and soft. I'm pretty useless at specifying different scents but I agree with perfume pyramid. Edit Interestingly I haven't bought or even wanted any new fragrances after getting Pin Up two months ago. It's that good. Light enough for office but never boring, feminine and "happy" but not in a juvenile or tacky way. It works great in somewhat humid Scandinavian summer but I don't think Pin Up is going to be too one dimensionable in colder seasons either. Ginger opening can be a bit much -it certainly is for me- but it dies down quickly and reveals the beautiful mid and base notes.

Smells completely different from the original Classique, which I own the edp and EDT and have tried most of the flankers. I’ve owned this one for a couple of years now. Used up 1 entire bottle, bought backups, also got the discontinued Cabaret flanker which is nearly identical with a bit more ginger. Could be it’s own scent. I’ve now tried all the top “marshmallow” scents and this is the best one. Just decluttered Sintra which was a failed blind buy, Pin Up is stronger, projects more, sweeter, longer lasting and half the price. Otherwise Sintra and Pin Up are 95% identical If you’re smelling this and it’s identical to the original Classique, you probably have a bad sample.

After I bought this at a duty free last year, I ignored it for a while since I was put off by the ginger citron opening notes. Fast forward to around this new year 2023, I realised it's prettiness and now incorporating it into my summer rotation perfumes. It's true you have to wait 1-3 minutes for the sharp citron to transform into the clean soapy sweetness of orange blossom with marshmallow. I can't really notice that it's marshmallow, only a hint of sweetness. The amber drydown is lovely too. It is long lasting but rather soft sillage. Perfect for summer and the office too. I also own Wonder Woman version but that is a bit cloying for summer and pin up is not.

Whoa. This is a gem for the price. The 2nd ever compliment I have ever gotten on a scent right when I entered the room (the person had to be at least 8 feet away). I’m an oversprayer, but I only sprayed 5 that day because I knew it was strong. I topped it off with 2 sprays of Sintra for a more green feel, but I feel that it’s stronger than Sintra. As for the scent, I am a neroli/marshmallow nut, so this is right up my alley. May be stronger than LDBSExtreme. I refuse to buy Oriana because of that scent & this one, not because it’s not beautiful, but because Oriana is weak comparatively.

I got an almost full 100 ml bottle for at steal so I had to try it. It’s not something I would usually go for but somehow I really love it. It’s sweet, fluffy orange blossom and vanilla with a touch of ginger. It’s girly, happy and uncomplicated without being immature or boring. It's one of my most complimented perfumes. My daughter thought I smelled of chewing gum - big sweet juicy pink bubblegum - but in a good way. It reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana pour femme with ginger instead of raspberry. If you like one - you will also like the other.

OMG 😳 you have try this in 65 degrees Fahrenheit weather to 70 degrees... It is so yummy and intoxicating! I layered this with Taylor Swift her namesake fragrance and it smells divine in this cool summer weather ❤️ If you wear this when the weather is hot and sultry it literally smells like fried sweet bread or fried donuts. For a similar fragrance that can be worn in the heat and smell as good as this smells in the cooler warmth, Bombshell Gold is the one to go to.

So, I was at the JPG counter the other day, and I asked the sales associate if I could smell this. She said she didn't have a tester of this, but this, "Cabaret", and the original "Classique" are all the same fragrance, just wearing different dresses, just like the Eau Fraîche line." (So she sprayed the original on a card and gave it to me.) Now, I find that a bit strange, seeing as how the note listing for each fragrance seems SO different. Can anyone verify this?

I love this! It’s such a beautiful marshmallow vanilla fragrance. Great for spring and summer. Definitely a daytime scent or a Netflix and chill cuddle fragrance. Very sweet and creamy, this is one of my favorites. I’ve heard people say this is like LDBS, about 70% is close. JPG knows how to do this Classique line each flanker being a slight different than the other within the notes. Longevity is pretty good and sillage is arms length. Highly recommended 9/10

@Bessthemess I advise to let the bottle sit for a while in your closet. That's what I did. After a few months, I revisit the perfume and the citron note is more tamed down and rounded, creating a more soapy effect. I also notice that this perfume is best in the heat, cold temperature makes it very close to the skin. Wear it in the summer!

This fragrance likes warmer weather. Now that it has warmed up outside and had some hot days, this fragrance has bloomed into this marshmallow sweet n spicy beauty that I can't get enough of!!! As it blends into my skin it is so much like Very Good Girl! And VGG is one of my faves ❤️. Too similar to it that I may not have to keep both.

Amazing fragrance! Spicy and luminous. Really glamorous. The vanilla is very soft and pleasant. The ginger steals the show here, followed by an uplifting amber. This is better than the original. Projects very well for an hour or so. The bottle is gorgeous! I recommend it to an old hollywood diva. Final note: 10/10

This is so gorgeous. I love it. On my skin, this is such a soft, marshmallow-y orange blossom. But still retains a freshness because of the citron. Not AS sweet as Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy, but it’s in a slightly fresher ballpark. It’s beautiful and feminine

Whenever I smell this fragrance I'm immediately transported to a Burlesque show. The happy feeling the marshmallow and vanilla makes me imagine of pink tassels flying around to a jazzy beat. The Ginger and amber of a slow and senual strip tease.

I love this fragrance. But what happened to Fragrantica???? I HATE the new layout!! Can’t find any other place to complain so I complain here right on the spot. Not fun anymore. At all. 😠😤🥺

I like It. It is something in between Love don't be shy and Oriana. Actually I even prefer It because is more affordable, but sadly It Is very hard to find It.

@bdragonfly12345, no they are not :) The Classique Eau de Toilette is different than the Cabaret and Pin-Up which are similar.

I got it at Christmas from The Bay for a very good price 100 ml for 60 CAD, I love it, my partner likes and it is seductive.

This is an office friendly and great JPG fragrance. I find the top, mid and dry down to be exactly how it is listed in the notes with Orange blossom to be the main player. The ginger in the opening dies down rather quickly. The Orange Blossom is watery like in Orange Blossom water that you find at middle eastern stores, it’s not a heavy thick Orange Blossom. I do get the marshmallow especially in the middle. Marshmallowish Vanilla and Orange Blossom dry down. Longevity isn’t terrible but it’s definitely not a power house like most JPG fragrances. Sometimes I don’t want a knock out fragrance and I reach for this. I recommend it for spring and summer as it’s not cloying. I don’t find any similarities to La Belle. This quickly turned into a love for me.

This is quite far from the original DNA which I found unexpected given the similarity of the bottles. This has a strong, grainy citrus opening. Grainy because it is more textured that a lemon or orange, it has this dark, juicier feel that is refreshing and unusual. Then, after the citrus burst has faded...in comes a bucket load of orange blossom. You may as well buy a bottle of orange blossom syrup and rub it on you. It is intense and very long lasting. I usually love orange blossom in perfume but this is extremely overpowering and sickly. I'm not sure if I enjoy this perfume or if I'm just bemused by it. It's definitely not an everyday scent, more of a once a year fragrance.

EDIT: Revisited today and tested it on skin. The opening is still 4711 original and then it goes to a skin scent that smells EXACTLY like the neroli/orangeblossem flavored breathfreshner sweets you can get in some parts of Ital,. Very nice, but not full bottle worthy. And it does not have the usual JPG killer silage and staying power. On paper this smells exactly like 4711 original cologne! I was disapointed, but 4711 OC dosen't last at all, I suspect JPG Pin up will last so maby that is a reason to buy it. For me it is way to much money to spend on a dupe for a colonge smell I can get for an apple and an egg if I want to.

People saying this scent is similar to LDBS & Si Fiori are heartless! 💔 😂 Dang. Where is the vanilla and marshmallow and why is this such a screeching orange blossom?? This fragrance made me understand exactly what screechy in a fragrance smells like. This smells like orange blossom soaked in bleach. I'm super disappointed.

So pretty. So sweet. So fresh. So feminine. So sexy. One of the only fragrances I've found that has citron in it and it doesn't bother me. I don't reach for it much, because it can give me a bit of a headache. However, I'm glad to have this in my collection 🩷

Great longevity, sillage and projection without needing to overspray. Too bad I don't love this scent very much (I'd give it a 6/10). Much too clean and soapy smelling for me. But I don't hate it, so I intend to finish the bottle as possibly an office scent, and then never repurchase

A candied orange blossom that's somehow both powdery and syrupy. The opening reminds me strongly of cough syrup. Even as the fragrance mellows a bit, the prominent marshmallow note makes it remind me a lot more of LDBS than the original Classique.

I really wanted to like this. As a collector of many JPG fragrances and a lover of all of them, I was disappointed with pin-up. The orange blossom smells loud, screechy, cheap & dated! Bottle is fun & pretty. Sadly, it doesn't smell like it looks.

To me, this smells like a mix of montblanc signature and killian's love don't be shy. Too citrus and creamy on the start and becomes sweeter as time goes by, but the clean citrus never leaves. It ends up being a strange combination for my nose.

When I first put this on I didn’t like it. The longer it sat on my skin it got better. I’m not really a fan. The Orange Blossom is really over powering of all other notes.

A lighter, less smokier version of Memo Paris’ Sintra. Still a no from me... I’ll be sticking to PDM’s Safanad.

@lady_ireth264 I’m wondering if citron is the note that is putting me off of this! I bought it used and could smell a lovely scent in the same vein and LDBS and Oriana so I was super excited but when I sprayed it on myself, there was this strong, almost peppery note that overshadowed everything else. I didn’t give it much time to mellow because I was just testing it before a shower and bedtime so I’ll have to give it another chance!

This perfume is much more spicy than I expected, and it's not from the ginger. Surprisingly, it has the same spice DNA as La Belle. It's not as sweet as La Belle, but has respectable projection and longevity. It'll hold up during winter and fall. Day fragrance. The spice is prominent throughout the wear of this fragrance. I think if you'll like this scent if you liked La Belle.

I had a hard time with this one. The opening was not good. In fact it was kinda bad. The dry down was incredibly beautiful. The orange blossom, vanilla, and amber really come through in the dry down. But I couldn't get past the opening. Such a shame, I really wanted to make this work. Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 7/10 Overall Experience: 4/10

Blind bought this (hoping) it to be different from Classique EDT but it turns out it smells just like it. Just as horribly.

If 95% of the time Orange Blossom goes too soapy (& not in a good way) on you like it does on me this mix is really not for you. If Orange Blossom, Ginger & Citron are your notes than this is totally for you. If your here for the vanilla or marshmallow notes, keep walking! The bottle is adorable <3

I've had this for ages, the one in the blue dress which even though the notes on here are totally different it's just the Pin Up juice in a different bottle. I thought it was OK but hadn't used it for ages. I've got about 15ml left out of a 50ml bottle. Recently got obsessed with Love Don't Be Shy and seeing they were similar, and this actually has marshmallow in it, I got so excited. To me this had always just smelled like the original Classique but with a slight difference. Same DNA but something strange about it. It's one of the many Classique dupes or flankers my mam has passed onto me that her ex would buy her. He'd just buy any perfume in that shaped bottle but she only likes the og. She thought this was a cheap dupe too. When I told her it wasn't and offered to give it back she still said no. Well, I can see what people mean with the LDBS comparisons, to a degree but it's nowhere near as sweet. It's a more "perfumey" Love. I barely pick up any marshmallow at all. It's mainly soapy orange blossom and the funky animalic accord you get in LDBS. If you're thinking of getting it as a cheaper alternative to LDBS though, you'll be disappointed, it's much closer to the og Classique than Love. You'd be a million times better off buying something like the Dossier version or another clone company. I've got a couple of clones of Love that were £20 for 100ml and I actually prefer them to the og as the marshmallow is more prominent. It's nice though, I still like it, and it's in a similar vein to LDBS and some people would probably prefer it if Love is too sugary sweet. Maybe further into the dry down, (it's been about 45 minutes and the strange opening has faded) the marshmallow will start to show itself more. Performance is just okay for me, it's not as strong as I like perfumes to be but it's not bad. Edit yeah, way further into the dry down I'm getting whiffs that smell somewhat similar to Love but still nowhere near as sweet. I wouldn't have connected the two perfumes if I'd not seen it on here. They share a few similar notes but Love has a very distinctive sugary accord that's not present here. It feels like it comes close to smelling like it but leaves me craving the sweet marshmallow fluffy goodness. As it's own perfume though, it's definitely good and I wish I'd paid more attention to it when I still had a full bottle coz somehow I've nearly used it all without really noticing it's a really good flanker.

It's a YES for me! From beginning to end - I get marshmallow and orange blossom for the most part - and they are creating the most beautiful, marshmallow aroma. At some point this becomes fresher and lighter but it never fades or disappears in the marshmallow aspect. I love this, the star of the show is the sweet, and fluffy, and light marshmallow/orange blossom combo - and the marshmallow effect is not shy. In fact, I don't think I would wear this in extremely warm weather...I can see myself feeling like the marshmallow is going HI-YA in my face all day. To mention the notes that I actually do smell: there is the marshmallow, the orange blossom, white florals, a very slight citrus that is helping the marshmallow to shine, and in the top of the dry down - the vanilla and amber come in - simply beautiful. I never got any ginger from this. In the late dry down, this gets even more lighter and fresher for me.

The Citron and Ginger in the opening give major citronella/clean hippie vibes. I don't like the opening, but I don't dislike it either. It isn't until the way dry down that I get anything I could confuse with Oriana, but I'd have to be looking for it. If I passed someone on the street wearing this I wouldn't think they were wearing Oriana or LDBS, I would just think they have fabulous dryer sheets, lol. Otherwise the mid is a little grape-like and marshmallowy. I like it, and if you like Oriana or LDBS and want all the things similar you might like it, but it's not a dupe by any means. It's just not as sweet/powdery/edible smelling as Oriana and LDBS.

Testing some of my older scents, or scents I don't use as much anymore, today. Crazy that nine people voted no for it smelling like the airlines flanker when it's literally the same perfume 😂 anyway, my bottle of the blue one is super dark orange now and a lovely, strong, musky*,orange blossom, animalic, amber floral with a lovely kick off ginger. I'm so mad I didn't realise what it was til I hardly had any left. I'd have kept it for as long as possible. I didn't see the resemblance to LDBS but not Oriana. I'm cherishing the last ten ml or so I have left. It's beautiful. *Musk isn't listed but I really smell it.

This a big no for me. I wanted to love it, especially after reading it has marshmallow as a note but unfortunately this has finally made me realize that the Classique Pin Up line is migraine inducing. I guess it’s the florals that they use for that line. However I love Classique Essence and La Belle:) Such a shame about the pin ups though because I really love the bottles.

Upon spraying the smell of the ginger and citron is so strong that reminds me of cleaning products , after that it turns into the sweetness that`s resembling Oriana-marshmallow powder with orange blossom. It`s ok, it`s nothing wow, I`m still trying to get used to those very sinthethique smelling citrons and they even irritate my skin that`s how strong they are.

Georgous , girly , kinda playful . I totally get the marshmallow notes maybe at first but after the citrus take over , a little bit too much for my taste . It's a spring/summer scent for me . I really want to like it , it's almost perfect but there is this little something who doesn't work for me

Today i went to buy other perfume, this was on sale, at first i loved it, but then i realise, reminds me to one of my grannies perfume, so it was a BIG NO, still i like it, i dont find it awful at all, but it does have a old style on the middle notes.

This is an orange blossom bomb at first spray. If you’re middle eastern, this smells exactly like orange blossom water used in sweets. Once it settles, you get more of the vanilla and marshmallow. Lovely scent and VERY long lasting.

First impressions: This smells like those chewy ginger candies that are topped off with orange blossom water flavored caster sugar.
