Classique EDT: I've always thought of this as a 'sex-in-a-bottle' perfume, eversince I first smelled it in my late teens (I'm 26 now), no other perfume I've tried could make me feel as sexy and as womanly. I told myself back then that this was going to be the scent I lose my virginity to, my honeymoon scent. To me it smells of seduction and romance in the most dramatic sense, rose petals over satin sheets, lace lingerie and garters (with matching heels ofcourse), a roaring fire-place, lovers cuddling and drinking champagne, a strand of pearls adorning her neck (and tomato red liptick stains adorning his ;), a syrupy laugh as she coyly teases him into submission...oh Classique, brimming with romance, confidence and passion, all dolled up in its womanly decadence! So I died inside when I saw a bottle of it proudly displayed on my fiancee's mom vanity table. Luckily, it's not a fragrance she wears regularly, so my fiancee did not notice that I was wearing a fragrance his mom owns while we were dating, au contraire, I received compliments, sighs of pleasure and he even buried his nose into my neck to breathe it all in. Still, I felt uncomfortable wearing it after seeing his mom's bottle, so I replaced my EDT with the EDP version (they are only slightly similar, and the EDT is definitely the bolder, spicier one). Back to reviewing the EDT, this heady, distinctive scent is just almost too delicious for words; it's sweet, spicy, deep, warm and powdery, a 'curves in all the right places' floriental scent (yeah, yeah, like the kitschy bottle lol)...something in the scent is quite reminiscent of beauty products you find on a woman's vanity table, like lipstick, body powder and lotion, but what I mainly get are notes of orange blossom, rose, anise and vanilla floating on a cloud of amber. The ginger contributes to the overall heat factor of the scent, but rather than standing out and becoming a biting presence, it blends itself seamlessly among the other notes, adding richness and warmth. It's a classic for the sensual and the provocative, an ageless scent for the uber-feminine. Just don't let the strong opening put you off, and for the love of all things fragrant, NEVER ever use this as a casual scent. You need to be dolled up to wear Classique, it requires perfect hair, a made up face and heels...so it's really best saved for the evenings, special events, or on those days you need an extra boost of confidence. Sillage and longevity is amazing, 10 hours on me and it's the kind of scent that could fill a room, so please spray with caution. I myself prefer using this with a light hand so that the scent gracefully emanates from my warm skin with its erotic creamy-spicy-sweetness (no more than 2-3 sprays on me, and a couple sprays sprayed on my clothes the night before), the last thing I'd want to do is assault the noses of anyone who comes within 10 feet of me. Seriously, when oversprayed, this can actually smell bad! Not only cloying, but bad in the sense that you end up smelling dated, vulgar, obnoxious and fake, like an out-of-work aging actress who piles on too much make up and dresses inappropriately. All in all, I love this stuff, truly one of a kind. EDIT: Oh TO HELL WITH IT, I NEED this ONE in my collection!! I'm sticking with the EDT! The EDP is lovely, but the EDT? Out of this world fabulous.

Definitely a must have or must experience even if you only test sample it. This is a classic and iconic women's fragrance. It's a powdery floral and soft amber musk fragrance. Not as fruity or 'gourmand' or vanilla as some say it is. The bottle is itself so iconic it ought to be in a museum. Classique is a beautiful perfume. Starts with a puff of powder. Pink powder. The rose and iris flower combo is soft and delicate. It has a talc powder effect but not old lady ish to my nose. Instead I get the impression this is a young woman who enjoys being retro fabulous and loves vintage powdery florals like Chanel 5 or Arpege. Thihnk of Dita von Teese. She'd totally wear this fragrance. The woman in this fragrance wears pink and baby blue silky smooth nighties. She likes to dress up for bed! Sexy lingerie. She seduces with her feminine allure. She sprays the fragrance not only on herself - neck, breasts, but on the pillows and sheets. It is a boudoir scent for sex! My boyfriend loves it on me and it is the only fragrance he can identify just by smell on me. He has a hard time with the others cuz I keep changing them up all the time. The florals in this scent are so lovely. Iris is the dominant note. There is a very soft white floral note (the tuberose) but it's not like other tuberoses that are bigger and creamier. Just a wisp of tuberose and mostly iris and rose. I don't get the top notes of citrus. I smell something warm and spicy which I'm guessing is the cinnamon notes. There is also ginger. There is a warmth to this fragrance that matches up with warm human female skin. It's smooth and easy to wear, easy on the nose. It's not strong at all. For anyone to smell it on you they have to be in bed next to you real close. The musk is there in the dry down as is the amber. But I don't get much vanilla. It's just a dash. The dry down is a warm soft musk. This smells much better on a clean freshly showered female body. The longer it wears on you, (and it is long lasting) the more you pick up on different notes that just pop up all of a sudden - plum, anise (spice) seem to emerge sometimes. There is a trace of soft ylang ylang. Something vaguely purple (orchid and plum maybe). This is just such a beauty. It's still selling after all these years (early 90? 1991? 1993)? the bottle with the cone shaped breasts and torso is supposed to have been inspired by Madonna in her Blonde Ambition Tour in the early 90s when she wore the cone shaped bra top. This is ultra feminine, classy, and seductive, sensual. If you like Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir this is in that same kind of style but more powdery and more feminine (Boudoir can lean unisex). Classique sells in any drugstore or JPG online store.

This was a lesson for me in how tastes can change over time! I first sampled the Classique EDP at least 12-13 years ago, this is back when it was the “lacy lingerie bottle” and very widely available including at places like Sephora. (Not that it’s not still available now, it just seems to have a more limited distribution compared to Gaultier’s more recent and hyped-up releases like Divine.) I remember at the time being drawn to the cool bottle, but the scent felt too powdery and mature for me so I moved on. I got to revisit this fragrance, this time in the EDT formulation, when a sample was included with a recent JPG order (blind buy of Scandal le Parfum...don’t judge me!). Well, apparently my tastes have changed over 10+ years because I do love this now! It is definitely powdery, but I don’t mind that now. It smells like a nice dusting powder, and it definitely has a vintage classy pin-up vibe to it. It smells like a nice soap on me, in fact it opens very soapy on my skin and then dries down to a soft, powdery, creamy vanilla with some florals. The “soapy” quality sticks around. Even though this was first released in 1993, it doesn’t feel strongly dated or “of that era” to me. It really is “classique”! I’d consider this more for everyday casual wear, it’s been an easy reach for me because of the soapy quality. You could definitely “dress it up” for an evening but I have other fragrances I prefer for going out. Definitely signature scent worthy. Oh, and the EDT has pretty standard performance for an EDT, 4-5 hours before I feel the need to reapply.

Classique smells like a fantasy of what a vintage perfume could smell like. It was created in 1993 and was very popular for many years at its time, but the imagine it conjures is not one of the 90s, but of old-timey boudoirs in muted shades of pink and peach velvet, of powder puffs and silky dressing gowns. This has a retro vibe without any of the bitter and dusty notes that you find in real older fragrances, it's way sweeter and spiked with fruity notes. The opening emphasizes the orange blossom note and can be a little soapy at times. But as it dries down, Classique warms up on the skin so beautifully. On the one hand it's cosmetic-like and cleanly floral, but on the other hand it smells sultry, sexy and a little lived in. Maybe like you just took a long bath with a fine orange blossom soap, put on vanilla scented body powder and then just fell asleep for an hour on your bed beneath the open window on a warm day. This is definitely a perfume that gets better the longer it stays on the skin. The drydown is a mixture of powder, vanilla, sweet skin-like musk, ambery warmth and a tinge of orange blossom, plum and spices. Ultra feminine. I also like many of Classique's flankers, and they all have their DNA from this stunning original EDT (that performs like an EDP). It's not as widely used as it once was, so this is the perfect time to rediscover this beauty that lives up to its name now.

Very sweet and powdery, ambery orange blossom with anis. This smells like makeup/cosmetics – super powdery, and slightly oily like vintage lipsticks. Ultra feminine and sensual. I like the balance of vintage and modern elements here. It’s got a vintage vibe, but it’s still fairly “easy” for modern noses to smell. I read somewhere that this is one of Dita Von Teese’s favorite perfumes, and now I always think of her when smelling this. I hate all JPG bottles, because I find them very gaudy, but I’ve always liked Classique’s. I think it’s quite elegant, and it matches the scent inside. Longevity and projection are good. As someone into heavier scents, this would be a daytime scent for me, but if you enjoy lighter, brighter scents, this could be a wonderful evening/special occasion perfume. Just make sure you love powder, because this has got a lot of it. I tend to dislike overly sweet fragrances and orange blossom, but this perfume is lovely. It's one of those I wouldn’t mind receiving as a gift, but I might not buy it for myself, since I have other scents I wish to purchase first. I don’t know, we’ll see – I do really, really enjoy this. I might not need a full bottle, but I’d love to own at least a sample or a mini (I’ve been stealing spritzes from my mom’s sample vial).

Re-wearing this perfectly beautiful fragrance after an absence of a couple of years. God I've missed her ! As good now as it ever was. The classic iconic pink bottle is like an old friend. Well the glass is clear but the liquid makes it look pink although the vintage is more a burgundy-reddish color. The perfume starts off powdery, like talc powder in pink in a burlesque showgirl dressing room. Smells of Marilyn Monroe Jayne Mansfield, sexy classic Hollywood blondes with curves. It has a sweet powdery freshness with a hint of pear, plum, lots of iris and roses. The pink roses are paired up with vanilla and some ginger spices. The spices never get to be too much. There is a dry down of light amber and musk. Lasts for hours. This perfume's a confidence booster. It will get you noticed and get you places. Feminine, classy, sensual. Great with not just lingerie but a light spaghetti strap cocktail dress. It's for any season winter spring summer or fall, but seems too fancy for casual wear. Must be worn with fancy clothing or even lingerie.If you like vintages like Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood, Ombre Rose by Jean Charles Brosseau, Arpege by Lanvin, and Paris by Yves Saint Laurent, you'll really love this if you haven't already tried it.

Received this today, making me the proud owner of all three main flankers of classique. They definitely all have the same DNA, but there are also certain things that set them apart. To me, every offering smells amazing, and this is no exception. This is so good and again, as with the other perfumes, I could see why some people would say that they are dated, but I think they still smell modern enough to where they don’t smell like old lady. This one is a little bit more fruity, and not quite as powdery as the EDP, but still has those powdery undertones to it. I smell a lot of plum in this, as well as the ginger, vanilla, ylang ylang and powdery undertone from the iris and rose. Gaultier is very quickly becoming one of my favorite fragrance houses. The whole classique line is exceptional and the one scandal I own was very impressive to me as well. I could see a teacher, or a daycare worker, or somebody who is just generally warm, feminine, and good with children wearing this. It isn’t seductive, it’s not femme fatale, but it’s extremely feminine. Really love this one.

Since discovering this fragrance, I've never gone without it. I'm a guy who loves feminine perfumes because they really suit me. My mother used this perfume from the beginning, then she stopped, and now it's my signature scent. It's a perfume with a lot of personality and an interesting story. As someone who previously preferred gourmand perfumes, I thought it was unthinkable that I would ever change my mind, but this perfume was a turning point for my tastes and made me discover that I love floral and powdery perfumes. My first impression was that it smells like a doll; the femininity of this perfume is so multifaceted. It can feel strong and quite powdery at first, which gives the perfume a mystical feel, and then it transforms into something soapier with a rose scent and a lovely floral vanilla at the end, giving a feeling of a more tender and warm femininity. It's feminine, fierce, mysterious, and tender. I simply love it; I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't enjoy such powdery scents.

This is a big love, and takes me back to being in middle school in early 90s San Francisco (back when it was still a little grungy and not all about .coms). I was visiting my cool aunts, who maybe don't fit the typical cool aunt stereotype because they were way cooler. My cool aunts are my mom's gay artist sister and her pompadoured partner who owned a chic hair salon and drove Porsche Carrera. This fragrance reminds me of hanging out in the salon, flipping through fashion magazines, listening to A Deeper Love (C+C Music Factory ft. Aretha Franklin), and breathing in the smell of fancy shampoo and hairspray. It is so cool girl, glam, indulgent and a little irreverent. Now just yesterday in my Can't Stop Loving You review, I said I'm not a big fan of orange blossom scents but this is obviously a major exception. This perfume is so complex, juicy and yet spicy aromatic, with soft musky florals and spiky florals alike. I don't think any other orange blossomed fragrance will ever come close for me.

Classique is a far heavier floral scent than Classique Eau de Parfum, released the year prior. Having loved the latter, I was eager to compare them side by side. As its spicy opening wears of I was enveloped in thick, heady jasmine and lily of the valley (where are these notes? I swear I smell them!). Warm and sensual, it’s an intoxicating concoction and a beautiful white floral that doesn't (thank heavens!) turn sickly on my skin. While so many brands go all out with the intensity of their florals (think Chanel's Gabrielle or even Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal EDP), Classique stays classy and doesn’t rely on cheap tricks. It is far less sweet, soapy and rosy than the EDP, although they are both beautiful in their own right. In short, Classique gives us pure petal, thick and delicious. Think: a garden at dusk, mother of the bride, a bouquet of fresh lilies, sensual silk negligée. It is all of those things, and a thousand more. Elegant, timeless . . . get in my handbag!

I'm on my 4th bottle. It is rare for me to buy same fragrance more than once. I tried other versions too but this is the one I keep coming back. I am lifelong Cavallier Belletrud fan and I had many of his creations. I think this is the most outstanding scent he ever created. Long lasting, well blended and complex. The formula is potent and I find that anything more than 2-3 sprays is overkill. I wouldn't call it true white floral scent due to variety of other notes. It's musky and powdery. Star anise and ginger adds exotic feel to it while bergamot with orange blossom keeps it from becoming too heavy. To me, it is evening fragrance. For daytime use it makes too much of the statement. It starts off really strong with vintage feel but over time it softens up and becomes feminine, warm and seductive. To smell the flower and plum notes you have to give it a bit time as top notes initially mask them.

God, one of my favorite perfumes I tried this year and it’s not because of the smell but how much the scent tells a story. To describe, this is what perfume normies would call a “grandma scent”, mainly because it leans too close to the vintage perfumery territory: it’s floral (a very strong orange blossom), powdery and soapy. But there is more, the scent is that of a “pretty woman”. The smell takes me back in time, as if I am reconnecting with the ghost of this perfume’s original owner (although it was not released that long ago). An insanely beautiful cabaret dancer, a vixen in 1950’s Côte d’Azur. A sweet, gentle woman with the warmest smile telling you all her glory days. You shuffle through her pictures to find a headshot in black and white of the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen. She still has them. In my mind, she is a sweeter younger sister of a woman who would wear Chanel Coco.

This is a lovely boudoir fragrance. It’s somehow modern while clearly informed by a vintage sensibility. It is feminine, sensual, sophisticated and long lasting. When I think of what ‘perfume’ smells like - I think of something like this - It’s quintessentially classic, exactly as described. I think this can be worn almost anywhere - but has a sensual aura that would lend well to a romantic rendezvous The EDT packs power and only grows sweeter, deeper and more pleasant throughout the day as the strong floral kick that the fragrance opens with subsides. It remains powdery, like the powder puff of a hollywood siren while she touches up her nose - refined and tasteful. I managed to get my hands on this at 40% off RRP, well worth the money for a gorgeous fragrance. If your personal icon is Dita Von Teese, or you love to do your makeup while wearing your Lacy lingerie - you will love this.

Ah, how times have changed! When my friends wore this, it was new, the latest modern with the now iconic and often copied feminine figurine bottle, softly sexy, sultry and oh so moreish. Now that I smell it again decades later, it remains all of the above but instead of new, it’s as its namesake, classic. I prefer the shower gel and silky body lotion to wearing the perfume to create a cosy sweet veil of orange blossom, vanilla, amber and spices that doesn’t overwhelm but I still would gladly walk through a couple of sprays of this if I had a bottle. It was a trailblazer when it was released and the scent of many a beautiful goth (non gender specific) in the late 90s/early 2000s London club scene. Yes I am delightfully middle aged now. New releases these days are way heavier on the sweet and less with the spices that warm them up - time to bring back some of the classics, I say!

I want to reach for this a lot, but as I have now acquired many, many perfumes in a rapid time frame, I try to choose all around from my range. Yet each time I look at this bottle and think, mmm... smells so delicious, like rich 1990s! My impressions are: rich; classy; rich-smelling; bold; sexy. It suits me so well (someone below said it is for a 90s woman who smokes to suppress her appetite, I cracked up laughing at that as this is totally me right now!). Comforting. And I can even wear it for bedtime. Or I’m thinking it might be a nice kick-ass gym scent, as I find the orange blossom (and ginger I guess) just so sensually, sensorily appealing to the very back of my nose. Love it! This is one of my "love" perfumes, and I quite like almost everything I have too, so this one’s Top. Retro; 90s vintage; rich bitch; classy; powerful; sensuous; JPG? Yes!!

After much trial and error I've finally found the one. I just adore this. I keep trying to wear other things, but everything pales into insignificance when compared to this beauty. Predominantly a softly sweet orange blossom with some gentle spices and a beautifully cosy ambery vanilla dry down. This fits me, not that I'm sexy at all, but I just find it very comfortable to wear and simply put, it feels right. I also have the EDP in the red corset which I love too, but not nearly so much as this. This has amazing longevity and is far and away my most complimented perfume - even receiving praise ("oh, you smell lovely!”) at the end of a long working day. You really could take away all of my other perfumes and leave me with this one forever as it just makes me so happy!

Bold. Sharp, oriental opening. I picture a burst of water from a sprinkler into a very sunny sky at the opening. Settles into a spicy, floral, powdery, slightly sweet, soapiness but not the creamy Dove type. This is Pears Transparent Soap or Imperial Leather. The soapiness is very prominent and stays the whole journey. This scent runs both cool and warm. Incredible longevity and silage. I imagine someone from the Moulin Rouge to the Great Gatsby to Madonna in JPG corset with pinstripe suit wearing this. Feminine yet strong. But it’s not vintage, it’s classic, the name is perfect for this. She’s heady, loose, wild, bare and dripping with sex appeal yet at the same time opulent, high class, buttoned up, formal, powerful and intriguing. Bold indeed. 🤍🖤🪻🛁🪭🎩

Scent of the day Jean Paul Gaultier classique EDT I don't know why whenever the weather is a bit gloomy, I reach for this one. I never liked EDT because EDT never lasts long and the projection isn't that good but idk how this performs even better than EDP! It's as good as a le parfum in my opinion. From the opening note I get ginger, a bit of cinnamon and white floral After 15 mins it becomes a fresh powdery floral. I've never been a freshie or a spicy note lover but this perfume is exceptional. This is the most interesting perfume in my collection, it's so unique! Like it has star anise Ginger and cinnamon in it. I felt like I was buying biriyani masala not a perfume 😂 but what inspired me was how spicy and feminine this perfume is!

I must comment on @fufuangeli who states she hates this frag because it reminds her of old people.. the logical deduction is that she hates "old people." Why? Does she not hope to live a long life? Does she hate her elderly relatives? I'm so sick of seeing this remark among frangelica comments! And, classique is a fragrance for ALL adult women IMHO. Also it puzzles me: in my part of the world I don't "smell" elderly people! Perhaps it's a cultural thing in some part of the world? (Unlikely) Classique is a gloriously lovely fragrance that I predict (original version) will take its place among the classics. The marvelous combination of notes... I doubt there's anyone who wouldn't find notes that please them. Well done!

At one point I absolutely loved this fragrance... When I first tried it, I literally shrunk. I thought it was too mature for me. But the dry down... They dry down was just sublime! Fast forward to 2024....has this been reformulated? Or am I just unrealistic in my expectations when it comes to fragrances? Is my memory incorrect? I remember this one being a statement maker... Very recognizable. When I tried it a year ago, I didn't get that same feeling. Maybe I'm over exposed... Maybe I'm thinking too much into it and I've lost my innocence of my younger years. When I didn't dissect everything about a fragrance like I do all too often now. I simply just applied and enjoyed. Lord, help me to get back to this place.

Iris-vanilla-amber-musk is the main line in this scent. However it is hard to describe in details, it is so multifaceted - shimmers and changes on the skin with other notes. In character it reminds me of luxurious, maybe even oldfashioned soap in the best way. It is a boudoir scent, not only because of the powdery notes that are also present. It is a scents for corsets and stockngs, for a seductress. It is seriously sensual with a strong aura and it is just perfect the way it is. It also smells divine during wear. I more than like it, even without my corset on :) It creates a scented bubble but without excess. It lasts all day through the night and lingers till the morning. Spectacular scent.

A must-have since my teen years. Subtle but attention-grabbing, it's the smell of a luxurious soap. Powdery, floral, spicy, with a real kick of ginger, it's substantial but inoffensive. Other JPGs smell cheap and trampy to me, but this one is sophisticated and fun. The TV ads tell you everything: it's vintage, timeless sex in a bottle. It's tastefully kitsch. I quickly go blind to this scent, but I've been wearing it religiously and it's a second skin to me. Classique gets compliments from everyone - it's noticeable and projects well. Price-wise, I can't complain, I haven't paid more than £60 for a 100ml bottle in years. I will always keep a bottle of this on my shelf.

One of my favourite fragrances ever!! It is so feminine, grown woman and sexy It is very powdery and is very multi faceted, also quite savory, unique and interesting. It remindes me of a burlesque dancer and I love the advert for this fragrance. The bottle is stunning. The performance is amazing, longevity and sillage. It has a very vintage feel but done in a modern way. It is so well blended and well made and definitely very interesting and complex were you can smell different things at different times in your day. The fragrance is constantly morphing to my brain and nose. It’s a fragrance that tells a story for sure. I love everything about it!!!

This is such a fantastic Orange Blossom. Because of the softest green, almost leafy tinge I get from Classique, this perfume always reminds me of walking by a Central Florida orange grove back in the late '80s/early '90s before development and disease took such a massive toll on their prevalence. It may be a minute facet, but I swear that little smidge of green is a difference maker. My Wife wore this a few days before I gave her Libre Le Parfum for Christmas, and as a partner I absolutely prefer Classique. My Wife's 2018 bottle may not be up to vintage aficionados' standards, but I think it matches up nicely with the fragrance, itself.

Honestly, i don't have this perfume, and i won't buy it, i just got a very old bottle, almost empty from when we emptied my dear Grandma's house, and i just cherish it. It smells just like her, feminine, sweet, vintage. It's this kind of scent that reminds you of a very specific memory, and i can remember me and her picking up raspberries from her garden and smelling her delicate perfume as she was next to me. I miss her, but this fragrance reminds me of her, and the almost empty bottle will stay like this a very long time, i don't want to use it. I just wanted to say it's a good memory.

All time favourite, top 5. What I love about this perfume is the quality. It is so well made and put together, the notes blend so well. You can look at the notes and think yep I can smell that. It’s got so much depth, only a woman of substance and warmth could wear this. This is hyper feminine but womanly, it embodies goddess, the divine feminine... The notes that stand out to me are orange blossom (not in a sickly way), a rosey pear, plum, vanillary ginger, amber. And I can smell caramel, butter scotch. Almost like a powdery ambery candied apple, but soft and warm...and deep.

This perfume rocked my childhood and adolescence, and not only because my mother wore it but also because my father gifted it to me. Whether it's me, my sisters or my mother, we've all worn it at one time or another. A “classic” therefore... I'm quite surprised to see that it has so many notes, for me it's mainly a floral, vanillic, orange blossom, powdery and sweet scent. Nothing exceptional, it's true, very "classic", it's true, and yet well enough done for it to grab my attention. So classic in fact that it is - in my opinion - timeless. Plus, I really love the bottle ;)

This fragrance is super soapy in its opening notes. I don’t know if it’s just me but it’s very soapy. It smells like a very clean, sophisticated and expensive soap. As it develops, the soapy scent disappears and this fragrance transforms into a beautiful bouquet of florals. The florals remain prevalent during the duration of this perfume. When it dries down it gets woody and musky and I can still smell the beautiful floral notes. Classique is an absolutely beautiful aroma. It lasts for hours and hours and hours on end. It’s honestly yummy enough to wear in any season.

This perfume taught me how to appreciate soapy vintage style scents. At first I would bury my nose in my wrist and the smell was so sharp and dated at first, but since I have a free sample of this, I kept giving it a chance out of curiosity. To my surprise, I realized these kinds of scents are MAGIC when it comes to their scent bubbles. How this smells from a distance, not right up your nose, is sooo angelic, warm, sexy, and excludes goddess energy. It is truly hypotizing, and I see I have a newfound love for vintage style scents thanks to this.

Slowly becoming one of my favourite perfumes, makes me feel like a vintage beauty when I wear this. Powdery and floral, wish it lasted longer (I have the edt version). I’ve been wearing it indoors mostly but today tried it out and about and slightly disappointed it turned a little bit indolic which I’m realising most floral perfumes do. Still love the scent and will probably have it as my cosy at home scent. Huge fan of JPG and this is a love too. Not a safe blind buy, it’s worth trying it first.

A beautiful lapidated orange bloosom that doesn't appear imeddiately when you spray it! It takes about 10-15min to appear more specifically on me! A fine layer of ginger comes along and they work with the vanilla, beautifully (you can smell the vanilla in the very deep of the aroma in the whole life of the scent)! When the perfume is still a bit wet on my skin I remember of Fleurs D’Oranger by Serge Lutens and what a nostalgia! Moderate longevity and sillage! A beautiful masterpiece!

I love Classique, especially in spring time. You can smell the powder, vanilla, the Orange Blossom, something Woody and even a little aqua note. I understand people feeling like this is a vintage and mature scent. It's soft and deep. Honestly, I'm still head over heels with this scent, after so many years. So womanly. I assure you that if this perfume wasn't known, someone would've have made it and people would rave about it saying it's bold, seductive, warm and it would go viral.

This was my signature scent in high school and I was always complimented by older women who wore it in the 90's lol. Perfect powder puff in a pink boudoir. Like if you bottled the music video for Lucky by Britney Spears. This is my version of a "clean girl" scent, not simple by any means but a beautifully spiced bar of rosy soap, ideal post-shower spray on hair wash day. I wish JPG never reformulated because I feel like my favourite scent has died and gone to pink fluffy heaven :(

Started wearing this around 1997 and it became my signature for 20 years or so. After collecting other scents I found I had little time for it anymore. I sprayed myself with it this morning for the first time in forever, and I'm still in love with it. Its spicy soapy sweetness provides a comfort that other scents just cannot touch. Sure, it smells like an old lady's boudoir. It's dated and a little fusty yet still somehow timeless. I guess I'm always going to love Classique.

It feels like it's hugging your skin. Sweet but not gourmant, more powdery. Great white flowers and deep amber. The ginger and anise are just complementing the whole composition. You can smell vanilla, but it doesn't smell like pudding (which is great). It is mostly for autumn and winter evenings, but I use it almost every day, except for maybe very hot weather. Ideal for woman in her late 20s, 30s. Very sexy, but not obnoxious and overwhelming. Simply outstanding. 10/10

This one for me is all love and sometimes, all hate. It's an instant nostalgic flashback to my youthful aunt's boudoir, the 90s, and that fancy, sexy, glamorous smell. Makes me feel pretty, has me putting makeup on, and reaching for the black dress. But other times, the same nostalgic bang of flowers and spices makes me feel heavy on the granny smell. I'm wearing it fabulously tonight, but just two nights ago one single spritz brought on the worst migraines. Go figure...

This is the scent of a sexy adult woman's Warm skin. That's the main thing I associate this with. Elegant, comforting and simply charming. Some may find it too powdery or vintage.. also when i used to own it and wear it, sometimes the ginger/anice note (im not sure) felt more prominent and bothered me. I believe it depended on the temperature, or maybe my mood who knows. Now I'm simply over the very powdery scents, but this one remains a masterpiece in my eyes. Love

I was given this as a present and wore it on and off in my early 20s, but always felt it was too grown up for me. Now in middle age I find it suits me much better! A gorgeous and refined floriental, it's for a grown woman who knows who she is and what she wants. I love the ginger and mandarin orange opening, and the powdery floral dry down. The soapy start, which once bothered me, now feels seductive and glamorous. Perfume preferences really do evolve as we mature!

Another one of my all time favorites! This too is my comfort perfume and I always love wearing this when I'm not craving anything sweet. This is sexy, confident, strong, and definitely makes a statement. It is beautifully blended but the notes that stand out the most to me are the anise, orange, orchid, amber, vanilla and cinnamon. This is very warm spicy and powdery and always makes me feel elegant and upbeat. This is certainly a classic for a reason :)

Of all the perfume smells I pick up. This is the most distinctive one. Instantly I can tell it's a JPG classic. I first own a bottle in my early 20s. It was a really really big hit back in the 1990s. Over the years, majority of the perfume i been using always have a similarity of the notes used by JPG classic. I can say this perfume shaped my preference of perfume all these years. JPG classic is special to me and full of happy, fun memories.

One of my favorite scents of all time. I’ve been wearing her for decades at this point. If you don’t like powdery scents, I could see someone being a little overwhelmed, but I think the ginger, amber and bergamot notes balance it and make it a suuuuper nuanced scent. Also, anything with tuberose and vanilla is a win for me. The longer this sits, the more delicate and sweet it becomes. If I could marry a scent, it would be this one.

No matter how many niche fragrances I own and love, and how much I dislike the sickly sweet modern juices, there's something about JPG's Classique I'll always find delightful. It's a pure mixture of baby powder and rice powder, and it makes me feel like a 1950s girly suited and powdered ready to take over the world. It's a great vintage makeup scent. However, I'm not a fan of the bottle...

I love this fragrance so much it’s very nostalgic for me. I definitely smell the powder, vanilla and yellow florals the most. It’s more of a mature scent so if you’re looking for sweet and airy you’ve come to the wrong place. This scent reminds me of being in a beam of sunlight in summer after bathing and powdering- but it preforms best in cold weather, it’s a good warm pick me up.

Classique is such a gorgeous, warm, powdery, spicy feminine perfume. It feels very nostalgic to me, I think my Mum had a bottle when I was a teenager and back then I loved it as much as I do now. I really love how classy and sensual it is, such a sexy fragrance. The longevity is great, I can still smell it on me after 7hrs as can others and it has good sillage too.

I wore this in 2000. My ex-boyfriend loved it. He said he smelled like me because my smell faded on to him. It smells like brown sugar and vanilla. When we broke up I would purposely spray inside his car with it when he left his windows down so he would think of me. Looking back I do not regret it doing it because he would always call BUT I WOULD NEVER ANSWER. LOL
