Cuir 1976

I gave it a Love, cause I don't just like it... But .... I will say I have no idea what this thing is doing in the first ten minutes of spraying it. To my nose I can't pick a single one scent out other than a bundled chemical mess that belong in a lab. My brain wants to try associate this to that and I'm like, "is that chestnut or wood polish ?" After it settles down things are logical again and it smells really good - I don't get any leather thou, it's mostly chestnut and a sweetness off my skin. Great for winter and fall, fur coat, snow , fireplace , Really nice.

Sampled this in a boutique before it goes on the shelves (I'm pally with the owner) totally not for me. Overpowering leather with a really synthetic, cloying sweet smell which I assume is the candied chestnuts, but I didn't get any chestnut, just sweet. To be fair though, I really don't like leather + sweet frags anyway, Tuscan Leather for example. Ain't for me but will be right up some people's alley for sure. I actually went in to see if she had French Oud but sadly she didn't. That's the one that intrigues me the most.
