Gaultier 2

This is my first review and I don't have the most seasoned nose, but hopefully this helps someone else! This was a blind buy for me, and I LOVE it. It has quickly found its way into my signature collection. This fragrance is lusciously sweet. On me, I get a decent intensity of all the notes (vanilla, amber, musk), with musk front and center. After a few minutes, the warmth of the amber amps up a bit, and the vanilla keeps it creamy and sweet. Gaultier^2 lasts FOREVER on my skin (10+ hours, as many as 14). Initially (and for approx. 3-6 hours), the fragrance carries well. After 6 hours, it's closer to my skin, but can still be heard from a bit beyond armslength range. In the drydown, it is a boozy, sweet (but not sickeningly so) vanilla with a deep musk and a warm vanilla nipping at its heels. It could just be on my skin, but I definitely get a very faint leather-ish sort of smell, but it's off somewhere in the distance. I feel that "certain something" (the "leather-ish" smell) lends more depth to this fragrance. I also smell something fruity, and I agree that it could be orange or even orange blossom. On me, it almost smells like a frosted orange--but the orange is very light/barely there. In fact, even the amber smells slightly frosted on me. I don't recommend this as a blind buy, because I can see how someone may think this leans toward masculine, but I don't feel this is a masculine fragrance. It is unisex, and will smell differently on each person. I cannot wait to use this fragrance during the winter! It is sexy, sweet, warm, and decadent (in the best possible way). I am in love with Gaultier^2 (Gaultier squared), and would love to smell it on a man or woman. I cannot stop smelling myself when I wear this. I'm thinking of layering it, but I'm not sure what to pair it with just yet. It may be perfume faux pas, I'm not sure, but I'm thinking of layering it with another amber fragrance (Fantasy, maybe) to really kick up the amber. FYI: I'm a woman in my mid-20s, and I found this delight during the summer. I've worn it during the day with no problems, but if you want to be on the safe side, wear this at night (or duing a cooler season).

Simplicity at its Best... This beautiful concoction from the house of Gaultier is a simple rockstar – dichotomy, right..?? Simplicity in three notes - Amber, vanilla, and musk – and a rockstar fragrance with stellar performance..!! It has been months, maybe even a year, since I last wore Gaultier 2, but WOW – what a day this has been. While this fragrance may lean on the feminine side, it is a unique and beautiful scent that can be comfortably worn by both sexes and is a total compliment magnet. It is different and a “one of a kind” fragrance – step out of the comfort zone and dare to be different – you won’t be disappointed... Lucky for me, my bottle precedes any reformulation and is an original. That said, performance is great, lasting 8+ hours on me and even longer on clothing – all at greater than arm’s length projection. The DNA simplicity will work across seasons and to most events, but I do suggest to be “easy on the trigger” when wearing in close quarters. The projection is underrated. Also worth mentioning is the bottle design with glass on one side and magnetic metal on the other side – unique and well done, JPG. It is a pity this fragrance has been discontinued... Final tally for Gaultier 2 is 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. If you can put your hands on a bottle, and you are comfortable being different and wearing a fragrance that may lean in to the feminine side, I definitely recommend adding to your collection. (you may want to keep an eye on your bottle, though – especially if you have a girlfriend that likes to “find” fragrances in your stable..). Dear fragrance Friends, we got em! 😍 Yesterday i got my hands on 2 120 ml bottles and considering myself a happy person!!(pm for decants or purchase) Back to this gem. When you review this kind of gems you should keep in mind that They are really special, and Please dont forget this has only 3 ingridients! I really am struggling to find the right words but let me tell you this: sweet soapy clean (spicy) vibes in the opening, this stays about 1 hour, when it starts to dry down there is some Magic going on😊: warm cozy sensual and slightly erotic vibes due to the amber and musk. Of course the vanilla is constantly completing this gem and taking away some sharp edges. This stage really drives me nuts and brings me too much compliments !! Amber is guilty in this stage! It brings a unique vibe! After 4_5 hours it dries down more but it takes about 9 hours to develop into a skin scent, but only slowly! The last stage, kisses your skin with some sweet cozy and soapy vibes. Absolutely great performance 12h skin more on cl9thes. Sillage is excellent, the magical whifss pushes till 9 hours on my skin! Proud to say, one of the best perfumes (unisex) ever made, only one BIG problem, discontinued.... Like a beatifull movie where the bad guy wins....:(

To start the conversation, the name should be read "Gaultier Squared", not "Gaultier raised to the second power", as some pseudo-experts tried to invent here, in Brazil, translating as we say in mathematics. This was the information I received from a saleswoman when I met this perfume, and, in addition, in English it is also pronounced similarly, reinforcing the theory. This perfume was another attempt from Gaultier to play with sexuality and the mystery of a fragrance without a defined olfactory pyramid. Here, the three unique notes of amber, musk, and vanilla merge without determination of what would be the head, the heart, and the base. It is said that the intention was to mix the sensations of the female fragrance of “Classique” with the male of “Le Male”. In Gaultier2, the unisex fragrance turns into contact with the skin and its evolution is really unique for each person. On my skin, the first hours of evolution tend more to the exotic and feminine musk aroma and then become more neutral and creamy, thanks to the vanilla. The profile is oriental, hot, and sensual, but not predominantly male. Projection and longevity are irreprehensible, as in every Gaultier perfume.

Update April 3rd,15 This juice has a real warm/sweet aroma from vanilla and possibly AMBER? This frag is nothing like the rest of Gaultier's collection. I real enjoy sweet and powdery/smokey aroma. Perfert during the fall and winter months. 9/10 Without reading any reviews, I'm giving you my honest opinion on this fragrance. I came across this fragrance and was surprised, almost all boutique's had 2 bottles of 50ml packaged together. I finally found a 100ml bottle and I was able to test it on my skin. As soon as I sprayed it a very sweet aroma which reminds me of cotton candy or bubby gum. Not even 5min later it wasn't as sweet and I was able to pickup a big doze of Amber and a hint of vanilla...♥ Both longevity and Silage are very high lasting well past 10hrs or more. Finally thoughts, Being very sweet, I would recommend you only spray it once. If you want to layer this fragrance, I would wait for an hour and spray it once so that it doesn't come across as being either cloying, too heavy, too syrupy. EDT is plenty and I recommend it to those man/woman who love a sweet scent, this fragrance is like bee's to honey. Definitely worth 9/10

I am so enchanted with this fragrance at the moment but at the same time, I'm so sad that it's been discontinued. I had a decant first and after only one full day of testing on my skin, I tracked down a full bottle for a decent price on eBay (which wasn't easy as the prices for this little gem are now through the roof!) I must fully disclose that musk doesn't usually work very well on my skin and generally speaking, I don't like it. However, here it is so well done! It smells like an expensive, high-quality musk and mixes so perfectly, beautifully and seamlessly with the vanilla and amber, creating a scent that is rich and intoxicatiing. I am completely obsessed! For a fragrance that only has three notes, it doesn't smell "simple" or "basic." When I wear this, I feel like I stand out from the crowd and I love that impression so much! The first spritz is a little concerning but pay it no attention! It settles down quickly and turns into a gorgeous and clear vanilla/musk/amber combo. This beauty has become one of my absolute favourites and I will never grow tired of it. So happy to have it as part of my collection!

First impression - a thick, warm, sweet wave coming from your grandmother's oven right in your face. Fresh, home made, sweet bread with some dried fruits in it. While it's still hot, it's covered with some sugar icing on the top. And then it's left on the kitchen table to rest under a clean, white (non bleached) linen towel. The bread is breathing, the scent gets more appealing, sweeter, delicious and inviting. A bit later the scent becomes slightly "alcoholic" (makes me think about the delicious TM Alien flankers, like Alien Liqueur de Parfum or Alien Essence Absolue). I definitely get that golden amber note mixing with the vanilla, which grows on me (in the opening, there's a delicious vanilla note, later it transforms into a rather dark, adult, vanilla scent, no more that strong, gourmand feeling here). The base is cozy, warm and warming like a thick, but still light, beige blanket around your shoulders. But.. under (or on) that blanket something naughty can happen, because the musk and that alcohol notes still play around... The song "Baby, it's cold outside" is "playing" in my mind when I wear this.

First bottle we purchased on big sale, for bl. Friday, on amazon, November 26th, 2014 - 120ml for €43,21... We wore it in autumn and winter and a bit of spring, me and my husband, at times every day, starting with 2014 up until the end of November 2015 when my Mother in Law smelled it and we gave it to her as a present - well what was left of it... at the bottom of the bottle there was barely something left. So this beauty, this richness of amber - vanilla - musk (of course, musk!) is something so pretty so powerful but not overpowering, so heavy but not upsetting to my nostrils, so everlasting... so sad it got discontinued... Also I love it how on my husband smells almost the same like it does on me. Pure symbiosis! And the smell is everchanging and it lasts for days! I would say it goes best for me when outside the temperature drops below zero! Luckily we got a second bottle, again 120ml, for €57,89 on bl. Friday 2016, again on amazon. So now we use it sparsely; I would say I used it one time in 2023, since there's just a tiny bit left and we want to hold on to it as long as we can.

JPG2 is quite a lovely scent and I feel as if I can aptly summarize the experience is a couple of words - sexy hairspray! I cannot escape that association (and I'm sorry if I ruin it for anyone) but it is delightful nonetheless. It definitely starts with more of an orange blossom/grape floral note before getting a healthy dose of a very hairspray like musk. This is basically how the rest of the fume goes for its 8+ hour lifespan - a slightly sweet vanilla and floral "hairspray" musk with accents of a warm and waxy amber note (maybe this is a fantastic representation of ambergris??) and something that is reminiscent of nutty rice as well. I love this fume and often use it as a pillow mist before bed and I smell it throughout the next day lingering in my hair - it is quite beautiful but I do feel this is far more fitting on a woman as is contains a certain 'vavoom' that most, if not all, men could not properly pull off. This is so lovely, I remember smelling it from time to time on the street, not too often, and it always reminds me to the apple soup my mum used to make when I was little. So for me this is the "apple soup" perfume, in the best possible sense. When I was the new one in my work team, there was a girl and a guy working with me, and I smelled this, and asked which one was wearing it (I didn't know the name so I just said "the lovely apple soup perfume"). The guy seemed offended when he reassured me that "this is a men's scent". Of course we all know that he was actually reassuring himself about his masculinity. It was quite ridiculous but I hope that stupid society will be less and less effective in brainwashing people into this insecurity. I wish people would look at each other as humans and not as "aliens, they have a different set of genitals, this is awkward". And I wish more people were wearing great scents like this.

I smelled this years ago in a magazine and found it alluring. Purchased it recently. I do like this fragrance, even though I'm picky. I don't regret buying or having it and I enjoy using it. Starts off sweet vanilla amber powdery, like JPG le male but without the intense undeniable presence candy sweet soapiness (which can annoy people..) but instead still 'starts' off smelling a bit harsh and cheap. Thankfully I'm convinced it the powder bit which swiftly fades to obscurity. Left with a vanilla amber citrus musk.. which smells more quality. Like a much more tasteful le male. Nothing cloying or annoying here. Nothing earth shattering- But if you, like I, get fixated on certain scent combinations.. like vanilla-amber-orange blossom-musk for example ;] ... So I had to have it, definitely like it, but would I buy it again? I think instead I'd try a different fragrance with the same notes and hope to be amazed.

This was my first big brand perfume and it remains a favourite to this day. I'm still not over the fact that it was discontinued. Anyway, I had read about the "skin scent" trend and was intrigued, especially since there were only three notes in it. So, I tried it at a perfume counter, fell in love and put it on top of my christmas wishlist. It was- and still is, I saved a few precious drops- a musky vanilla scent. The amber does not come through on my skin at all, but it still smelt amazing. Not a comforting, huggy vanilla scent- though it is warm and somewhat comforting- but more of a powerful, confident vanilla. It was my go-to scent for all importan events and always made me feel amazing. Even now, whenever I'm down, I carefully open the lid on the bottle containing the last few drops and it cheers me right up.

WOW this is in-your-face amber with a big reach! Scents with this magnitude of amber tend to be cloying on my skin, so I'll need to see how it behaves in the drydown before I can tell if it's a keeper for me. Regardless, this is high quality juice. UPDATE: I've had a chance to explore Gaultier 2 a bit more, and it's a definite keeper. Silage and longevity are great, and the fragrance wears very well. This is a straightforward amber vanilla musk, and it does its job superbly. There is a soft spiciness to it that keeps things from going flat, and the musk is furry and clean without heading into detergent territory. The amber is potent, but not too sweet or overly powdery. Very nicely done indeed. Fans of Chergui, Narciso for Her, and Lolita Lempicka Le Premier Parfum should find something very pleasant here.

This was one of my signature scents for years! I finished the last few drops a year ago, so I thought now would be the time to write an unbiased review! So when I first sprayed this fragrance, I would be hit with this strong, almost juicy smell of amber. It wasn't just that sweet, resinous amber, it was the amber I never smelled before. The way the musk was blended with the amber made it smell so deep and sultry. The drydown was a classic vanilla. The longevity was very long, atleast on my skin and the sillage was radiant. Since the original N02 was discontinued, the prices on Amazaon and Ebay are really high. I also wouldn't recommend getting the relaunch, since it doesn't smell anything like the original. Overall, a legendary fragrance, that I would definitely recommend!

This is a blind buy for me, but I couldn't resist based on the deal I got ($40 for 4 oz) and these reviews. Long lasting (past 10 hours), amber, bubble gum, vanilla, apple soup, and orange blossoms. The comparison to L'Occitane Ambre sealed the deal since it's now discontinued and impossible to find at a good price. The first spray is deceiving because it smells lighter than you'd think, and I get some of that classic Gaultier scent of powder (think of the base of Le Male). That fades and moves into the amber, which comes on full force. I don't get any sugar or sweetness yet, and many others on Basenotes claimed it was a tooth ache--it's not. I get mostly amber and musk, so maybe the vanilla will come later or it's adding the feminine edge to this fragrance.

For me, this was the fragrance. It was the scent I reserved for special occasions or for those moments when I needed a little pick-me-up. It brought a spark of joy—a small, comforting embrace in a bottle. Sadly, it’s no longer available in my favorite stores as it has been discontinued. The design was unique, with four magnets on the bottle, allowing it to double as a decorative piece on your fridge or a metallic shelf. I can still vividly recall the rich amber and vanilla notes that made it so unforgettable—warm, intense, and absolutely captivating. It perfectly embodied the color you see on the bottle—a true synesthetic experience! Just a few spritzes were enough to make you feel like royalty, and the scent lingered effortlessly for an entire day.

This is not discontinued, it's available everywhere in Hungary. But to my shock it's not as strong as it used to be. I have a bottle from the original release and it's a bomb regarding both sillage and projection, a monster! That original Gaultier2 is a REAL eau de parfum, not like today's juices which are labeled eau de parfum but are weak like an eau de toilette or even cologne (The One, Hermés Voyage, Nuit d'Issey etc.). Yesterday I tested it again in a local perfume store, sprayed a serious amount on paper and after 2 hours by the time I got home only a soft faint smell remained. What a disappointment! What have they done with this once extremely intense perfume???!!! It's a joke! A sad joke!

This one really grew on me. I did not like it at first, found it a bit cheap or ordinary/trashy smelling. But I kept sampling it, again and again. I felt some similarities to Amouage Reflection Man, but only at a certain point. Reflection was softer, this felt heavier. But I grew into liking it. Perhaps because I did not like vanilla at first, but I'm starting to appreciate it more because it is not overly sweet and brings warmth. The amber adds a bit to the sweetness and the musk adds a certain softness. This is a unisex scent, and I feel it will act differently on each sex' skin. I think this is more masculine than feminine. However, I do see (strong) women wearing this.

It's a serious fragrance, nothing playful about it - it tells of luxury, quality, confidence. It's very warm and there's sweetness, but not gourmand sweetness. Very noble perfume. I think it's totally unisex. I've had it for years and couldn't really wear it at first, now i see why - i think it also has some requirements for the wearer. I couldn't wear it when i was younger, it was too... unfitting. I felt like sitting in a very expensive car which wasn't mine. I didn't feel that the fragrance is really mine. But people change and now i opened the bottle again and the scent feels more friendly to me. It is more comfortable and is still a total gem.

Oh man, this fragrance is absolutely stellar. I forgot I owned this years ago until browsing a forum post about beast mode scents. I had a neighbor that worked in the fragrance industry and always gave my mom and I free perfumes that were too expensive for us to own otherwise. Bless him. This is one of the ones he gave us. The bottle is so damn cool first off, and the juice was really good. I unfortunately don’t remember its exact scent but I remember spraying myself daily with this because it smelled so good and mature, but not in an old lady way. I wish I still had this. The bottle(s) alone make it worth a purchase!

Okey, who's in power now? -Nahh, it's only me thinking of how lucky I'm for a change... Because; I had a big bottle 120ml, gave it to my youngest son (21), he loved it so ver much and has nearly emptyed his bottle, but, I have another bottle, I just couldn't get enough, 120ml, i have only used 10%, and you know why, this perfume is so very precious, only for specially ocations, on internet it costs a lot, I didn't know, it give me that "laughing all the way to the bank"-feeling, for the moment I'm feeling so very rich, and that's what this amber / vanilla / musky-scent is about, it's just priceless!

Introduced to me by a partner, my affair with Gauliter 2 lasted much longer than the partner but I am very thankful for the introduction. I was a huge fan of this fragrance when it was in its original form. Bold and long lasting. The recent revival from JPG is disappointing at best. Luckily there is a company in Melbourne Australia who have produced a copy. The Dupe Spot #229 it to my nose, indistinguishable from the original (which I have compared directly from the small stash I have left). Generally not a fan of duplicates but this one is awesome and I am so pleased to have found it.

This is one of those scents that I don't wear often but it's seriously one of my favourites. I think I have one of the original bottles so I'm not sure how the reformulation is, considering people always go overboard in the hate department. Regardless, this smells really feminine and makes me feel like I'm wearing the sexiest amber vanilla fragrance out there. Probably that musky animalistic thing that's been mentioned a few times in some of the previous reviews. I get quite a few compliments when wearing this. Can't go trigger happy wth this one though. Great fragrance.

My signature scent! I can’t believe they discontinued this bomb! I know it’s simple and strong, you either hate it or love it, but I feel like it represents me completely. I started wearing this when I was 16 - got my hands on it from an acquaintance I later found out was an escort. It’s so heavy and intoxicating on me, would bath in it if I could! I have half a large bottle left and rarely wear it because I’m terrified of finishing it. Happy I found Altamir as a cheap dupe to console me, but I wish JPG would bring this back!

I picked this up by chance. Was going to look for something else and chose this instead. I am happy that I did! This is awesome! I can't even put it into words. Amber, musk, vanilla. There's something else that gives it a the scent of a clean public restroom....though this doesn't bother me. This is ideal for layering! I just layered it with Kuumba Made's Amber Paste and I really want to glue my arm to my face right about now. It has a soft sillage,closer to the skin for me. But it is still detectable. Average longevity.

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" - Leonardo da Vinci And the above is true for this fragrance. A lovely mix vanilla and amber, I don't get much musk though. Massive compliment factor with this juice! I've had females in clubs telling me how good I smell and even my male friends asking what I'm wearing. Longevity is great and sillage is also very good. A shame this was discontinued. Altamir by Ted Lapidus is also similar if you can't get your hands on this. Ratings Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 8.5/10 Scent: 8.5/10

I first discovered Gaultier 2 in 2005 through a tester. I can safely say I’ve gone through hundreds of milliliters of it. It’s honestly the best perfume I have ever used in my life. Nothing I bought could ever replace it. I have literally witnessed people shouting behind me on the street, 'What is that perfect smell?' after I sprayed it on. People would follow me into stores just to ask what perfume I was wearing. Then, for some reason, the formula was changed and it was discontinued. I miss it.

I’m sampling from a friend’s stash. Gaultier 2 is a sultry, somewhat musky vanilla-amber that is powdery, but I’m also smelling something bright and fruity, like soft pink bubblegum. It’s not loud; it is lightly atmospheric like a subtle fluffy cloud surrounding me. Very beautiful and alluring. It is so tempting for me to try to find one, but the girl I’m picturing wearing this is a fluffy angora sweater girl, and I’m not her. This is so good, that I could be her for a few days a year.

Just got this... It brings me so many memories. It's sweet and gourmandish, vanilla/ amber bomb! I love the longevity and sillage, it's great. I definetly think men easily can pull it off, but you have to like sweet stuff. It's daring and unique - a great masterpiece. One thing that might be a downside is, it doesn't go good for warm weather. It's heavy and can get cloying - but then again, it's really all about moderating the sprays. Don't discontinue this one Gaultier, it's heaven.

This is the most seductive but also classy sent I have ever known which is hard to balance. Men seem to have 0 control when I wear it & from my experience when I first encountered it, it has the same effect on women. It is warm & inviting which is great for night or a cold winter day Not comparable to anything & sadly it is very hard to get hold of now. I am still looking for something to replace it when my bottle runs out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The Hype is coming back, Gaultier brings out Gaultier 2 again in Autumn 2022. Two things to look forward to: A summer ahead with my favourite fragrances and an autumn with my new bottle of Gaultier 2. It ́s a beauty of a fragrance: No florals, no fruits, not even woods. A LITTLE WEIRD AMBER-VANILLA-MUSK with a lot of personality. The smell of Androgynity in it ́s perfection - the possession of both masculine and feminine characteristics in humans.

It can be very heavy and sweet and yet I love it. This unisex was supposed to smell like a skin of lovers during the act apparently and I believe Mr Kurkdjian had just this in his head while designing the elixir. I hate that it's been discontinued. If you'll have a chance to buy it, don't hesitate - its almost oily texture and rich explosion of warm notes wears best in the evening and cold seasons. 8/10

I think this goes for so much money now for a few reasons. It's a Francis Kurkdjian creation that's now discontinued, people have fomo, and it's a very comforting fragrance. I'm glad I bought it six years ago when it was selling for clearance prices. I still get mostly amber and musk. It's a perfect one for wearing a sweater, so I tend to save it for the fall or cold rainy days.

Beautiful vanilla based scent. This really is a fragrance that deserves a special day. And thats what Gaultier2 resembles. Unique fragrance designed to be used sparingly, but everytime it is worn, it engulfs your olfactory bulb with warmth and fuzzyness. For those scared about it being too feminine. The musk caters towards the gender of the individual.

i just checked the price, 250 plus pounds on amazon. for the love of God, dont do it, its nice fragrance, no doubt, polished and comforting fall scent, but get Thierry Mugler Alien Essence Absolu, the dark juice, you can find that one for fraction of a price and its way bolder, longer lasting and worthy of collecting. 1 spray lasts 12 hours plus.

I checked Gaultier parfums site and as much as I was excited about the re-release of Gaultier2 I feel cheated now. The new bottle is different, all plain glass now. But what's worse, the notes have changed: Top note: Jasmine (???) Heart: Sandalwood (???) Base: Ambergris. This is not Gaultier2! This sounds like a completely different fragrance!

@Endymion - I managed to get the 2X20ml which were released only at the launching of the scent, so they are vintage for sure (the dark amber juice)! I got mine on EBay for just under 20£ - they we used for some kind of presentation and only one of them sprayed once or twice. Absolutely beautiful!! Recommending to look for those :)

reformulation is weak and has lost the intense warm depth it used to have, this is so sad... i spray and spray, it just gets loud and then disappears, no more lingering deep guerlain like vanillin , its just in the celeb frag league now . maybe for rihanna rogue lovers, kinda same vein now.poor everyone who knew the real deal .

This fragrance is a masterpiece. Without a doubt my most complimented scent of all time. A luxuriously rich and sweet hand grenade to the senses and truly the only scent that could stay with me through a wild 3 day weekend in my youth. This scent ran so that 1 million and co. could walk and nothing has changed frankly.

I read that this reminds some people of Joop le Bain, Pi, Joop Homme and Diesel among others. I haven't smelled the new release of Gaultier2 but the fragrances mentioned above, which I once had, smells very different to Gaultier2 the original (in my opinion). Interested to hear others opinions. 🙂

WOW! Received this in a swap. This one was a blind one for me. My god! Its creamy sweetness keep making me sniff my wrist! ! A little goes A LONG WAY but a lot more sweeter then expected! I can defiantly feel the unisex vibe.. but I love that about this one! Glad I have it in my collection! :-)

Absolutely gorgeous. Kurkdjian is a genius. Please do not compare Altamir to this. Yes they are similar but Altamir is way too sweet, feminine, and cheap smelling. Gaultier2 is more rounded and unisex. It's a gourmand. Somewhat reminiscent of Xerjoff's Italica.

Finally got my hands on a Gaultier 2 sample, and Altamir is uncannily similar. Interestingly, despite being more floral, Altamir is more masculine. Altamir also evolves from floral to powder whereas Gaultier 2 is sweeter, spicier and more linear.

Best way to describe this beauty: No FLORALS, no FRUITS, not even WOODS. A bubblegumish vanilla with amber and musk. A little weird, a little not from this world, a lot of personality. A man smelling like Gaultier 2 definitely gets my attention!

best fragrance i have ever used. my wife loves it very much. it feels more impressive. The notes of vanilla and sugar are particularly dominant. The smell leaves your mark on the road you walk. I will use it until the last time I can contact.

A strong powdery accord of vanilla, amber and lavender hides the more discreet tones of orange blossom, ylang-ylang and jasmine in what turns out to be (Fleur) Le Male in reverse. Only to be used in statements for love, and of love. ****(*)

Try layering with Mercier Ambre Passion. The 2 scents truly compliment each other. Not that they aren't each beautiful enough to stand on their own. I just like to experiment sometimes and this experiment turned out surprisingly well.

Happy,Happy, Happy i have found a 40ml full for 35ml for €30 only. Just had finished my own bottle and now i have an almost new one back again. What a luck considering the ridicilous prices they ask now for this gem!!!

This is vanilla musk. Amber is, as always, an illusion. In this case it is created by the interplay between the other 2 notes. I don't mean this as a criticism, it's the best 2 note fragrance ever devised.

Can somebody help me please?! I want to buy the original formula with the dark amber juice. Can anyone tell me when did they change the formula and since when they produce with the lighter color juice?
