La Belle Flower Edition

Sweet, floral, fruity, vanilla, powdery, lactonic, creamy, white floral, citrusy, woody, radiant, feminine, romantic, sensual, seductive, classy, elegant, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, cheerful, uplifting, alluring, inviting, cozy, comforting, unique On me this opens with sweet jammy apricot. The heart blooms with lemony and slightly waxy magnolia, creamy and slightly leathery osmanthus, and lush jasmine. The dry down shines as it intertwines sensual and powdery warm ambery vanilla with woody vetiver and a gentle patchouli that adds a nice depth. The most prominent notes on me are the apricot, magnolia, osmanthus, vanilla, and then vetiver followed by the patchouli. I just had to get this one as I’m a JPG fan, really enjoy magnolia, and find the bottle to be absolutely stunning! Yes, the bottle was a big selling point to me because it’s sculpted beautifully, and I think the magnolia accent is absolutely gorgeous! Fortunately, it also sounded like a fragrance that I would enjoy, and thankfully I wasn’t disappointed! I got my bottle right whenever it launched last year, and I do think it’s changed slightly as it’s macerated. I notice the osmanthus, vetiver, and patchouli more prominently than they were at first. The osmanthus really seems to bring a milky, leather-like scent now that wasn’t as noticeable before. To me this feels very feminine, and suitable for women of all ages. This feels like it works best during the spring, summer, and fall because of the bright fruity floral profile. I mentioned fall because the woody ambery vanilla base makes it work during the cooler weather, especially during the earlier part of fall, but throughout the whole season. This feels fitting for any occasion from casual to fancy, and including work/school. I do enjoy JPG fragrances quite a bit, and currently own Classique (OG lace corset bottle), Classique X, Classique Pin Up (my favorite as a gourmand girlie!), La Belle, and La Belle Flower Edition. I wouldn’t say this is particularly similar to La Belle, and it likely wouldn’t be noticeable as a flanker just from the scent itself. It’s much more floral, but it does share the woody amber-y vanilla base as well as a leathery nuance from the osmanthus. I’m also really looking forward to ordering the new JPG Divine Couture and trying it out because it sounds amazing! I think La Belle Flower Edition performs wonderfully. The longevity is great, it lasts throughout the entire day on my skin. The projection is strong, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. Beautiful, fruity, floral, sweet, bright, radiant, fresh, feminine, classy, elegant, charming, flirty, sensual, warm, creamy, enchanting, whimsical, luminous, uplifting, unique On me this opens with sweet, fruity, and bright burst of jammy apricot which settles into a lovely blend of the slightly waxy and lemony scent of magnolia, sweet jasmine, and soft osmanthus. As it dries down the warm, creamy, and sensual ambery vanilla, vetiver, and patchouli base really begins to shine. It starts off bright and fresh, and once it’s fully dried down it’s a more warm and sensual creamy vanilla and amber apricot. The patchouli is extremely subtle, so it really just enhances the other notes, and is difficult for me to pick up on its own. If you are worried about the patchouli, don’t be, and still give this a try. It’s very well balanced and blended, and is a very beautiful and sophisticated fragrance. It’s also rather unique, I can’t say that I have anything very similar to this in my collection. To me this definitely feels feminine, and I think it can easily be worn by women of any age. Even though this is more spring and summer leaning, I do think it will work all year round. It’s fruity, bright, and floral enough for the spring and summer, but also sweet, warm, and sensual enough for fall and winter. I think this would work well for pretty much any occasion from casual to fancy. This is sweet, but not too sweet (The OG La Belle is sweeter). Also floral, but not overly so as you might expect from the name “Flower Edition”. Rather it’s a lovely balance between fruity, floral, and vanilla. I’m really excited to pair this with some of my B&BW lotions, especially vanilla ones and Forever Sunshine (another great apricot fragrance). As soon as I saw this stunning bottle I became very intrigued as to what the fragrance would be like. I read the description and notes, and decided that it would probably be a safe blind buy for me. I’m definitely not disappointed at all! This is such a lovely and unique take on La Belle, I actually enjoy it even more than the original. It’s actually quite different from the OG, and would not necessarily be easily identified as a flanker of it (compare to ones like Alien Goddess and Alien Goddess Intense, D&G Devotion and D&G Devotion Intense, YSL Black Opium and YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, ect). It’s its own unique fragrance, but does still have a bit of the La Belle dna. It’s definitely one of my favorite JPG fragrances! For reference, I also own La Belle, Classique (original lace corset bottle), Classique X, and Classique Pin Up. I get excellent performance with La Belle Flower Edition. The longevity is impressive, it lasts the entire day, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is very good, it radiates out a few feet from me. I only need a few sprays to get this effect, so I do consider this to be a good value. I also wanted to add that this doesn’t cause me to get a headache (an extremely rare occurrence for me), nor does it cause me to have any nausea (more common than headaches for me).

I can’t do justice after @darkbeauty’s review!! I will say that everything they said is SPOT on. Some additions I’ll make as a newer perfume collector - this feels like a really easy wear, especially as it’s drying down. The initial scent has something to it that I don’t really like, but that goes away pretty quickly. As it dries down, it develops into such a beautiful, light but bold-ish scent. Nothing too overwhelming. I have yet to pick up on any notes of patchouli, so I really wouldn’t let that deter you if you’re interested based off of everything else. Oh, the bottle is adorable - as always. I love jpg’s craftsmanship. The flower seems to be plastic, to answer somebody’s question. I haven’t messed with it too much, but it seems relatively sturdy. I would not complain if this became regularly available (vs limited edition). Edit: wait.. is this a limited edition? Or did I just confuse myself bc edition is in the name.. Edit (again): I THINK I found the patchouli. I sprayed it on my robe and 24 hours later, there is a slight hint of it. I didn’t notice that on my clothes after 12 hours, so it seems to be something that maybe takes a while to develop. And of course the remnants of the patchouli are super subtle

Lately, I haven't been interested in any designer perfumes because to my nose they all smell the same to my nose and they are just so redundant. I get it, they are trying to fit a certain market but it just hasn't been for me. I saw two video reviews of this fragrance and decided to take the risk and purchase from their website. What a great decision! This fragrance is amazing, to my nose it has the same vibe as Divine, I was a bit afraid of the flower notes but it is such a well balanced fragrance. It's elegant, sweet, fresh, everything at the same time. I see myself wearing this all year long. It's strong, I sprayed the receipt that comes inside the box and I can smell it every time I walk in the room. This is definitely going to be part of my permanent collection. Regarding the apricot that some reviewers mention, I do agree that it's there but not too sweet, maybe the outside of the fruit. A great creation! For those of you who don't enjoy flowery perfumes, give it a try.. Sample it first of course but don't let it deter you... You will be surprised.

Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Flower Edition is a soft, powdery and floral fragrance that feels very elegant and feminine on my skin. The powdery note comes through clearly and gives it a smooth, slightly velvety texture. The floral aspect is noticeable but not sharp — it blends nicely with the softness and creates a refined, gentle character. What I really like is how it develops over time. It sits well on the skin and actually becomes better the longer it wears, as the powdery and floral notes settle into something warmer and more harmonious. It feels like a more mature fragrance, well suited for adults rather than something playful or overly sweet. Overall, it’s a beautiful, elegant and soft floral-powder scent that improves with time and feels very wearable and sophisticated. Absolutely great for summer. I give it 8/10. Downside is it doesn't last longer than 5 hours.

oh my GOODNESS this is a perfect velvety fruity creamy floral. it's so perfect. it's me in a bottle. i smelled this in ulta and i thought i was dreaming. it's not apricot in a bright way but in a soft way, more like the fuzzy skin than the juicy inside. the jasmine and vanilla come through as one once the perfume has dried down and introduce a creamy blissfulness that i can't describe as anything but the most even balance of sweet and floral. i would 100% recommend this as a blind buy. my only gripe is that it fades like a body spray. it makes me so sad because it's so perfect except it only lasts like 4-5 hours on my skin. love this otherwise, totally get it for your errand-running days, dates, interviews, etc.

And, the bottle and the packaging are gorgeous!!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I didn't think I would like it but it was love at first sniff. Immediately it transported me back into childhood surrounded by super realistic apricot jam, then flowers and apricots, then sugared apricot pie. What a delightful perfume, it is not sweet but it is delicious. Nostalgia. What a beautiful dream! I think this is one of the best JPG I ever smelled so far. And of course, it is super long lasting which is a bonus. I washed my hands three times and I could still feel it on the back of my hands so beautiful.

I'm huge fan of La Belle perfume range, so I blind bought this as soon as I found it. No regret, it is stunning! As the name suggests it is definitely flower edition. After beautiful jammy apricot opening it takes you to the very flowery middle where apricot blends wonderfully with magnolia, jasmin and osmatnhus. Flowers accords stays strong until the more subtle but typical la belle vanilla - vetiver dry down. Very feminine and sexi, I'm impressed. It's got high potential to become my favourite from the line.

Most of the Reminds Me section is completely irrelevant imo. First I want to say - thr first 2 bottles I got of this were beautiful. Powdery, sweet Apricots and white florals. Very similar to FRANCESCA DELL'ORO Vanille 8:00. But now I bought a 3rd bottle and it is giving me something a bit different and soapy. Similar to the first 2 bottles but not the same. If I had gotten this the first time I would have stopped there. I am hoping my new bottle is just feeling some travel-shock.

Perfume tão frutado que chega a ser suculento, lembra a sensação de comer um damasco mesmo, fruta aguada e carnuda. Particularmente nunca experimentei um perfume frutado tão intenso. Passei no braço e no dia seguinte a minha camiseta estava cheirando a ele (mesmo comigo tendo experimentado vários outros perfumes). Se não fosse pelo preço teria comprado, não acho que vale 1000 reais, mesmo sendo edição limitada.

I’ve never really been a fan of JPG fragrances for women, however men’s yes. But, this fragrance is beautiful. - Smooth, clean, slightly warm, has a powdery note and not too sweet. Sexy aspect, not in your face, At the start, I can’t put a finger on the individual notes as for me they have all been mixed into one another. Dry down, smooth vanilla with a powdery finish and a touch of apricot.

Like original La Belle, just juicier! It doesn’t cause me a headache, although I get where most negative reviewers come from. The fragrance is very climate-dependent and in warmer temperatures can turn out into a soapy sugary scent. However, on my skin it develops beautifully (although I do regret it’s lacking sophistication a bit).

Second day wearing today after my bottle arrived yesterday. I mostly agree with scent.2go below. I absolutely like this scent, it is mostly apricot to me, a fresh but not juicy one. It smells fruity and natural, slightly sweet but not massively. After a few minutes the osmanthus and magnolia kick in and it starts to round out with a floral, slightly creamy (but far from rich) vibe. Then the patchouli provides a fuzzy base warmth. The vanilla to me isn't really detectable, and the apricot does stay for the duration of wear. I am also a big JPG fan and love how unique and bold their frags are, both in terms of scent profile and longevity. I like this, but currently it isn't love, and it is far less unique / original and impactful than pretty much all previous JPG scents. It reminds me mostly of fresh, osmanthus perfumes like Penhaligons Vra Vra Vroom. The wear overall is quite light in terms of presence and longevity, I would say it lasts on me around 5 hours with intimate to moderate sillage, whereas every other JPG scent I have is strong and long lasting. I agree with Joani_Cheddar below that this may really come alive in warmer weather, so I hope I'll fall in love with it then. For now it is absolutely pleasant, but not the wow I'd hoped for.

Apricot, OSMANTHUS, Magnolia, Jasmine, Vanilla, PATCHOULI. Really pretty fresh dry apricot I really like this. I had to warm up To it at first but the more my nose smelled it the more I became more confident about this fragrance, definitely not for the 20somethings and younger, I’d say this is for a more Mature. Fragrance lover who appreciates the complexity and the art behind the notes. I’m 36 and have worn this several times and gotten compliments, the dry down does give a bit of the La Belle feeling but this is definitely in its own lane like La Belle Garden. Please try before you fully commit.

La Belle Flower dries down to a typical fruity floral with a bit of a tropical accent. But for the first 20-30 minutes, there is a note that smells off -- not quite bad, but not pleasant either. After that wears off, you're left with a nice apricot, floral, vanilla fragrance that's fine but not particularly unique. If you already have a scent like this in your collection, you don't need La Belle Flower. Even if you are looking for something like this, La Belle Flower isn't the best version of it. You can do better in the sweet, tropical, floral department.

Anyone in the UK wondering when it will be available here, no idea! But I just bought a bottle from myOrigins which is a French retailer website, ordered from them on many occasions mainly Guerlain frags and they're all legit, they ship promptly (about £5 with Royal mail) and my goodies reach me within a week from ordering. Can't wait to receive this beauty love apricot and peachy scents, I'm beyond excited😁will remove this post once arrived, just thought I'd help out my fellow UK fragrance junkies😉

I am SO glad I did not blind buy this!!! On paper this is awful! However on my skin once the Vetiver and early apricot dry down this is very pretty. To me the osmanthus leans very lipsticky almost like an iris. The rest of the florals blend it out well. Not bad but omg not safe at all for blind buy. I will say I don’t hate her but don’t want her. Yet. Maybe one day when she’s cheaper haha but so glad I didn’t jump in. Blind. And so glad I got to finally sniff her! But deff skin test not just paper!

I really liked how it opens, the apricot very evident, a few minutes later the floral predominates, but that's all, because in a maximum of 20 minutes it disappears from the skin and from the clothes. I wore it twice and reapplied and the same thing happened. The third time I sprayed 4 x on the same point, it also disappeared, only touching my nose to the skin I smelled a bit of patchuli.

Very nice, feminine and beautiful from a far, but smelled closely, it’s a bit too strong and flowery maybe. Long lasting, could still smell it a bit the next day. Update: it’s quite eternal on clothes, can still smell it on my jacket a few days later. 7.5/10 :)

Sweet, fruity, flowery. The scent is nothing special I would say but pleasant and very feminine. Another fragrance that seems just like a mix of all the best sellers. I would not remember it, but it is a nice fragrance.

Moderate longevity on skin, but on clothes this is nuclear! I sprayed some on a shirt I didn't end up wearing and went back to smell it for the next 3 days, and could still catch it on the shirt....

It opens with fluffy, fuzzy fruit skin. As I said below in my other comment, imagine holding an apricot to your nose and sniffing the skin, wanting to take a bite but you stop short. The fruit is ripe, not overripe, but in a day or two it will be. As it further develops it’s clear this is NOT a juicy apricot scent, it is a dry one. It gives the impression of picked apricots that someone took the time to dry, preserving their essence at peak ripeness immediately after picking. At this stage it also reminds me of eating apricot seeds. When you bite into them your olfactory picks up on the scent as you chew. Think of almonds but with a stronger flavor and fragrant twist. I would consider the OG La Belle as juicy and watery fruit. La Belle Flower is not that. It’s a mixture of both fresh picked and dried fruit sitting in a wooden bowl. I do get flowers mingling throughout... the magnolia, it’s somewhat creamy and the jasmine is somewhat perfumey. To be honest, the flowers take a back seat to the fuzzy apricot fruit skin and dried, earthy fruit accord which is the most prominent. I believe the apricot stays predominantly from beginning to end with the help of osmanthus. There are definitely more notes to this perfume and the other notes I personally get are: orris root, vetiver, and even oak moss. Patchouli... where? It’s so slight that if any of you worried about the patchouli, you really shouldn’t be. Vanilla is present, but it’s develops more so as you approach the drydown and it’s not as vanillic as the other flankers. Those are sweeter, vanilla bombs in comparison to this where the vanilla is present but tamed. Expect La Belle Flower to be moderately sweet, dry, woody, a touch powdery, and earthy too. It leans more in the direction of a peach / apricot iced tea, or possibly, an apricot marmalade. There are wafts of the OG La Belle in this but I think it’s mostly coming from the vetiver I perceive as it dries down. Despite that, this is a stand alone fragrance. It could have been called something else all together if they wanted to. It’s not love at first sniff, but it has the potential to grow on me, like the others of the La Belle line did. I believe this is a lovely and unique fragrance that you have to take some time to understand and get to know because it truly doesn’t smell like anything out in the market right now that I am aware of. If you wear this, you definitely will not smell like anyone else. La Belle Flower makes me appreciate JPG for always being innovative!!!

I just got my bottle in the mail! The package and presentation is lovely. I received several free gifts with it. The flower is plastic but looks more like pottery or ceramic. It is well made and doesn’t look cheap to me at least. It does resemble the magnolias on my tree in the spring. I have not gotten a chance to test her yet because I am wearing other perfume and didn’t not want my nose competing for its attention. Also, my package was left outside in the cold and should probably settle to room temperature before testing. What I can say so far is just from sniffing the nozzle, I immediately get the fuzz smell of an apricot or peach skin. Like sniffing the fruit and feeling the fuzz of it on the tip of your nose. You haven’t cut into the fruit, but you are just sniffing the skin. So far, very photorealistic to me. I will edit this review soon as soon as the bottle warms up now that it’s indoors. 🍑💕

I should have checked the reviews first. I couldn't find any decants or samples, and non of the Ulta stores in my area had a tester. I'd tried the Paradise Garden version, and adored it so I made the foolish assumption that I'd like it. I should have known better. Patchouli can be extremely hit or miss with my skin chemistry. This time was 100% a miss. Normally apricot, magnolia, jasmine, vanilla, osmanthus, vetiver are notes I love. But this went very powdery, and musty on my skin with a sour note (probably the unfortunate misfire of the patchouli) that just never got better. Very little sweetness. I didn't "hate" it, but I definitely didn't love it. When my husband gave his opinion a polite "Its ok, not my favorite" I knew it was not a winner. Its getting returned to Ulta today. I'm sure its wears beautifully on someone, but that person is not me. Bon chance!

Definitely leans powdery and white floral on me (unfortunately the exact notes I usually dislike. No sweetness at all like others mention) instead, it smells like sour talcum powder with sharp floral, almost like changing a baby’s diaper. Longevity is another letdown. It doesn’t last long on my skin, and even if you’re into powdery perfumes, this one doesn’t feel particularly unique or memorable. Patchouli is way too loud for my taste, and even though I’ve been trying to warm up to it these past few weeks, it’s just not clicking :( JPG has let me down, and if you check my profile, I LOVE JPG Sillage: 5/10 Longevity: 6/10 Overall: a generous 6/10 Hoping maceration helps, but right now it's not for me.

I heard someone say recently that the Apricot note in this is would probably give a tropical feel to this perfume. To me it seems like it may lean more Middle Eastern: Turkey, Morrocco, Egypt, Lebanon, or Iraq. Apricots are grown a lot in Turkey. And used in a lot of middle eastern dishes. JPG La Belle Flower is personally giving me middle eastern vibes, from the golden pink color of the juice like a sunset over the desert sand, and the flower on the bottle like that in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Can’t wait to smell this and see for myself! 🌸🍑🌿

Es un aroma super delicado muy suavecito pero muy raro. No huele mal solo diferente. No es aroma fresco mas bien es dulce y lechoso- frutal. Me huele a capirotada mexicana. Dulce con mucho Chavacano. Parece oler a la miel desbaratada de piloncillo. No huelo lo cítrico. Pero es como capirotada saliendo del horno un poquito ahumada no huelo el aroma de las flores. Me gusta como para esos dias de invierno frnte a una chimenea tomando un buen chocolate caliente y descansando.

28-Jan - Love how everyone is smelling something different. For me it’s front loaded with a slightly peachy incarnation of Flowerbomb and then bolts on Plume’s Royal Bourbon (the Smokey tea, spice and tobacco touched mid)... interesting. It’s a really hot day so it might translate differently in cooler temps. I will try again and comment later. So far not awful. Quite surprising to my nose.

Started off sweet and floral, but it quickly turned into a watery powder. Sadge.

On the first spray, a burst of apricot, but also a hint of dampness. A little disappointed frown; I suspect patchouli. Thankfully, as it dries down, the apricot takes the lead. A sweet, vanilla-kissed, almost jammy apricot. In the end, it’s a lovely fragrance that revolves around apricot, but that background note keeps me from fully enjoying it. A shame, I would have loved to adore it, if only for its stunning bottle! P.S.: To be sure, I checked the JPG website, and yes, there is indeed patchouli in this fragrance.

This smells like apricot mulled wine. It's so much more serious than the original. There's a strong alcoholic liquor accord and the scent profile is deeper and drier. Try before you buy. This smells like an eccentric alternative Etsy creator with red hair and piercings and tattoos (nothing wrong with that). Meaning it's creative and deliberately goes against the tide - I'm just not sure it hits.

This is headache inducing...a real shame because the notes look really good. The apricot is slightly sweet but it is overpowered by the base notes, and those clash a bit with the white florals in the middle. This feels like an unfinished or rushed project, I would highly recommend sampling this before purchasing it. 3/10 for me. Quite frankly, this is not good. Purchased from: the JPG website

Try before you buy~☆ don't let the peach razzle you or the lactonic accord dazzle you- - dont expect a jazz hands vanilla either. Smells like an aquatic chypre- peach fuzz and a magnolia infused water. Very low key. It does not smell bad but not what I expected from JPG- may smell better in heat. RATED: O Chypre! I shouldnt have blind bought this fragrance.

🥴 This one doesn't smell too nice. Such a disappointment. If you love apricots and osmanthus, watch out... and buy Amouage Sunshine instead. I mostly smell a generic concoction and something weird lingering...as if you mixed almond-dust with water and let it sit for too long and it started to rot.

Tried this in store today and tonight I'm struggling with a headache from it. The initial apricot is reminiscent of Narcotica Dulce Diablo but the drydown has become incredibly floral and loud.

Dark beauty was right , this smells like extremely dried apricots. It definitely doesn’t have the flirtatious juicy vibe of the original. It reminds me of Afghanistan actually.

Nauseating... I was looking forward to the lactonic vanilla notes mixed with the florals and apricot. But i only smell the apricot, and it is overpowering sweet!

I am huge jpg fan. Im testing this one 3rd day. Every single scent from jpg have that character, that kick, jpg spirit, something cheeky. Even scandal le parfum has it but its not my fav scent but it has it. I blind bought la belle flower edition because this is my fav brand and I was sure I will love it. Im so dissapointed because this scent is boring, polite, no character at all. Ok, I may not like it, thats fine, but where is that jpg spirit? That kick? That cheeky something that every jpg scent has. Its too polite, I dont understand what the hell happend. This is not bad scent, its not ugly, but it smells like lush body spray or like a peach yogurt. I just feel sad 🥹 Also longevity is so poor. All jpg fragrances are beasts, but not this one (around 4hrs) its a shame..

This fragrance has a weird development. When it is first sprayed I get a LVEB vibe going on. Super sugary iris but no iris in the notes. As it goes along I get this minty smell, but no mint. Then it ends up being a fake apricot with cheap vanilla smell. I dislike this brand sooo much. Nothing has appealed to me yet. It might be the type of vetiver they used that is giving me these weird smells. At one point it smelled like caraway seeds! Strange fragrance.

Something is funky and plastic-like in here on initial spray. What a shame JPG dropped the ball on this one for such a pretty ass bottle. The irony that this is called the flower edition and smells like rotten fruits is beyond me 🥴. The bottle is stunning however! The flower which I thought was fabric is actually a lacquered ceramic 😍 It looks lovely in my big collection of 8 Classique/Labelle bottles. Clearly I love this range but this one is a huge disappointment. I can imagine the look on people’s faces as they get attracted to this gorgeous bottle on the counter, then spray it and get this old funky apricot 🤭😭 Whyyyy JPG y’ all had one job! Put a stunning beast mode floral juice in a beautiful flower themed bottle and watch it catch viral flames!! It dries down to something creamy powdery slightly rotten fruity. Meh! I wanted more. To make it worse it’s soft, moderate, demure and not a performer. I guess this was made for collectors like me that just want a limited edition bottle. The scent itself is nothing to write home about. JPG see me in the parking lot, let’s talk 😂

It DOES smell mature. It's a bit fruity and powdery. I smell a lot of peach...which is lovely. It lasts a good amount of time. It would be cloying in the summer. I don't think because it's "mature" that it's a bad fragrance by any means. I think the original La Belle is also for grown women. I own it and love it so so much. If you're above the age of 50, you might be more drawn to it because it smells like something that was popular when you were younger or something your mother wore. We could be more respectful with our words and say "dated" instead of "mature" cause really, that's all is. Something that was once popular among a certain age group. but...guys...can we please stop responding when we don't like someone's review? MESSAGE THEM DIRECTLY if you have something to say to them!! NOBODY ELSE CARES. People come here for opinions on the fragrance.
