Le Beau

Love this fragrance and it’s beautiful dry down. Once you apply, you’ll get a coconuty bergamot blow that’s sure to intrigue anyone who’s a fan of coconut or citrus notes, I’m both personally, and this is the only fragrance I’ve smelt that’s done it well without smelling like heavy syrup (Le Beau EDP) or fresh cut grass with a hint of coconut (Le Beau Paradise Garden). Now, right after that opening past 30-50 minutes you’ll smell a lot of coconut with the bergamot still present, just not as strong but it does rightfully so that the smell is so enjoyable and you won’t wanna stop smelling your wrist. After that, around 1.5 hours you’ll smell the final note, the tonka bean, and it’s not possible to explain how well it wraps as a whole this cologne, it’s gonna leave that sweet coconut bergamot smell on your wrist that’s not possible to overspray (if you do you’ll only smell alcohol) and is sure to get you compliments. It’s hard to choose off of what fragrance TikTok or instagram tells you to get, and going in person and getting a smell at what the fragrance world is all about is such a moment that everyone needs to experience, because, this is easily my most preferred Le Beau off of the line, does it very well, doesn’t fell heavy or weak, radiates just enough so people sitting around you will smell it, but not enough to choke a room with your cologne, combines coconut and bergamot, but doesn’t smell like spoiled coconut or steroid coconut syrup, and most importantly, it’s not mass appealing, it’s not gonna be everyone’s favorite, but that means not everyone will be rocking it because they’re afraid of the opening note, but let it sit on your skin, I’ll guarantee you, you won’t be the only one having trouble takes at this fragrance. Overall, love this release, would definitely buy again, and it’s done perfectly, there’s nothing much to add, the minimalistic note layering is already set to perfection, the price is fair for what you’re getting, and if it’s spring or summer for you, don’t walk, run to buy this asap, it’s getting gatekept online and it’s hard to find a men’s fragrance that receives that treatment. I hope you’re feeling like buying this, because I can already see myself wearing this cologne until it is bone dry, there’s so many spring, summer, beach, sunset, park occasions that are in favor of this beautifully done Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau EDT.

Out of all the fragrances I own I find myself reaching for this one the most. Its a far cry from the best fragrance I own, but its one of the most versatile. Its an easy boost of confidence, a very casual and simple scent. Its a fragrance that I'll never regret putting on, or think back and wish I'd used another. It starts with a light, sweet citrus and half an hour later it transitions to a soft creamy coconut with almost a slightly woody smell, then a while later settles with the sweet, nutty slightly thicker base notes. It's definitely on the more youthful side, but still masculine. Its performance is not bad, projecting for 3-4 hours on a typical day, and even 5-6 on a hot one before it lingers close to you. Its mostly a summer fragrance, but I've found myself using it in the fall and winter somewhat often. Of course its performance takes a sizable dent, but you can just overspray it. Note: Its parfum variant can confidently be used in the fall and winter About its brother, Le Beau Le Parfum, I've tried it in stores and bought testers for it, and I wouldn't say they're interchangeable. Objectively, LBLP is a far superior fragrance, offering way better performance, and in my opinion better notes and general smell. But, It doesn't have the same feel to it, its heavier and more serious, suited to a different occasion, like a night out, or a party. I'd hesitate using it during the day, and stay away from it when its hot out. I love both, but the original is suited for far more occasions which is why I'd recommend getting it if you plan on using it as an everyday. I do love LBLP, and do plan on getting it when the time is right. Overall this is an 8.5/10 Didn't blow my mind, but that's the point. A well rounded everyday spray. And it's perfect for it.

Of all Le Beau's, the version that I think smells the most original is the EDT. Le Beau EDT stands out as the most original and easy-to-use scent of the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau universe. Starting with the refreshing energy of bergamot at the opening, this perfume takes on a warm, dizzying but never heavy character by blending with tonka bean. It creates an elegant charm by staying tropical but not far away from artificiality. It is a balanced and risk-free perfume that can be easily preferred for daily use and special moments. Le Beau Parfum offers a more intense, seductive and night-appropriate character compared to EDT. Amber notes add sweetness and depth; however, this intensity may not be suitable for every environment. It is ideal for those looking for a more striking effect, but it can be suffocating on some skins or in hot weather. Paradise Garden can be considered the most experimental scent of the series. Its fruity and floral aspects are more pronounced; this makes it different and exotic. However, this originality may be too niche or unusual for some users. It may not appeal to everyone and may not be easily carried in every environment. A pickle dream for me. In conclusion, Le Beau EDT is like the cornerstone of the series. It is neither too bold nor too subtle. It has a character that is both modern and timeless. It is easy to use, risk-free, but still far from ordinary. It is a safe and impressive choice for both beginners and collectors.

I bought this with the intention to have a brighter and more fresh version of my le beau le parfum. And it happened to be just exactly that. The opening is fresh, you can really pick up on that citrus note, that combined with the coconut 🥥 gives an airy and almost powdery vibe, and it is quite nice, and masculine. And is ever so slightly more versatile that le parfum. Other than the exquisite scent you get with this one, the projection and longevity is something to seriously consider before spending your hard on cash on this. While it does project pretty good for the first hour, I have to admit the longevity let me down. Though I am aware of the EDT formula i was expecting to have a good 3-5 hour performance but if I'm being honest i could barely pick up the scent after the 3 hour mark and it sort of disappeared. Which begs the question, how will you use this fragrance, are you hoping to put on a couple sprays and be set for the night? Are you gonna bring this fragrance with you to re-apply so that the scent never goes away. Or are you looking for something not to powerful. Well sadly if you are hoping to have a fragrance that is lasting you the entire day this cant be for you. The best way to use this fragrance is to overspray if you want to be seen, or re-apply throughout the day.🥥🌴 I rate this fragrance a 7/10. Incredible innovative scent, mediocre performance.

The beach....in a bottle Light yet masculine, starts witht the usual slight zesty touch of the usual JPG signature lavender/sage edged with fruity cinnamon, followed by a majestic ocean fresh breezy aquatic aromatic heart of delicious coconut, dries down slightly woody and clean balsams......truly refreshing, addictive and uplifting. simple, warm, seductive, delicate yet definitely masculine friendly. Its a summertime masterpiece that just doesn't work in winter or low temperatures, and to be honest is hardly a powerhouse in summer and high temperatures either, but its so good it can just about get away with its consistently lame performance. Projection ...low to moderate.....longevity.....low.....it doesn't last long enough for me, but i love it while it shines, like the warmth and health of the sun. Of the ones i've tried Le Beau is definitely my favourite Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance. A gorgeous summertime gem....just got performance issues scent 9/10 longevity 5/10 sillage 7/10 (but just doesn't last)
