Le Beau Flower Edition

I love it. I was originally planning on buying Paradise Garden, which I had already sampled, because I wanted a new summer scent. And in the store I saw this Flower Edition, which I was a little bit reluctant due to some comments here, but nevertheless I tested it, and for reasons it worked magic on my skin. Indeed, it doesn't seem to have an amazing performance. It lasts 3/4 hours of a moderately projection before sitting on the skin. However, it stays there for really long. First time I sampled it in the early afternoon, I went to bed and it still was there, and there it stayed the morning after and even after mid day, in a way that I didn't notice it and suddenly some movements brought the odor back to me; +24 hours, that's something I don't see everyday. I ended buying this one. It's a mass pleasing fragance, slightly flowery (not as much as the name suggests), subtle, sunny and beachy, sweet but not cloying, pretty much unisex. It's just the perfect summer fragance I was looking for. If you're looking for a beast, for a classic manly fragance, to be noticed and to get compliments, this probably won't get it to you. However, if you're looking for a fresh, pleasing and sweet spring and summer perfume give this a chance.

unironically this and Paradise Garden are my favorite Le Beau's, i guess it's because they at least are a tad different than your typical freshie with a little twist, these add a very nice twist, and Flower Edition is no different. I've smelt this in an airport, and although the flight was indeed short (at around 2 hours), it lasted through and through, which may not be saying much, but my skin annihilates almost every freshie. Going into this i thought i'd smell florals, which i haven't somehow, at least not in the opening, where, the note listed here is KUMQUAT, i have no clue what a Kumquat smells like in real life, but i can tell you that the opening of this fragrances was fantastic, citrusy, obviously fresh but ever-so-slightly powdery in my opinion, very very lightly so, but it was noticeable, and in the best way possible, its one of the most refreshing opening i've had in any freshie within the past few months/years. I wouldn't say it's blind buy safe it this is your 3rd fragrance, but most enthusiasts alike will probably have no problem liking this scent, highly reccomend trying it in stores though. It's a shame few people liked it cause i can barely find it in stores like Sephora over here anymore

"Smells like plastic bro", "Gives me hairspray vibes yo", "It only lasts 4 hours doe" Get off it. This stuff is inspiring. The usual reticence when reading the hate, but there's much love for it too. My intrigue was finally quenched when I ordered a 10ml sample and was blown away by this. Flowery aquatic with a luscious (thankfully)mostly un-powdered violet leaf streak. At first blast it leans down the middle unisex. As it dries down though it leans more masculine to my nose with the Cashmeran. Imagine this as purply-blue highnotes with floral overtures and cashmeran backbone. I'm getting around 9 hours longevity, but sillage is fantastic for the first hour. I wouldn't call it blind buy safe, because it clearly has some qualities those with limited faculties bought into thinking they were going to get a mind numbingly safe scent to impress their chintzy one liners on the ladies. This aint it lad. This compliments the wearer, it does not hide the wearer's shortfalls. Make of that what you will :) I love this, and have placed an order for a full bottle having got through half this 10ml bottle. A resounding 9/10 and I dare say this will go up to a 9.5 the more the brocolli heads hate on it.

I went to buy me a Dior Homme Intense and decided to try the flower edition by spraying 1 time on my hand, NOT on my wrist, but the back of my hand. and I can still fkn smell it well beyond 18 hours. At 16:40 it's going to have been 24 hours. Don't get me wrong, right now I can't smell it at all, unless my nose is on my hand, but that's still impressive. I don't know if this fragrance just loves my skin chem and doesn't wanna let go, but I've never tried a stronger summer fragrance than this. I couldn't believe that a fragrance like this could ever last this long Going to my local store and buying 2, since it's a limited edition. *Now this doesn't mean that it will be the same for you*, but I just wanted to share this experience to see if anyone else also had this happen, because this is crazy. Surely it can't be that specific batch, right?

FANTASTIC fragrance and is back-up bottle(s) worthy! Don't be dissuaded because the name of the fragrance has the word "flower" in it. There's northing floral/feminine about this fragrance. This fragrance is a sexy/masculine fragrance with a fruity, ozonic, aquatic, fresh, clean, musky and woody vibe. Performance is outstanding and most people will easily yield 12+ hours. This is an excellent summer and tropical vacation fragrance, and also perfect for casual and office wear due to its well constructed composition. This fragrance IS linear but is still a certified, licensed, registered summer banger! If you haven't gotten your nose on this fragrance, a very accurate point of reference would be Tommy Bahama St. Kitts or St. Barts. Overall: 10/10

UPDATE: Flower edition is by far my favorite JPG release of their summer collection. While Flower edition is far from "amazing" by any stretch of the sense people who catch whiffs of the scent seem to really like it --- especially women! 🥳 I was wearing Flower edition rather frequently during my trip through SE ASIA earlier this year and was getting a lot of compliments and asked what I was wearing! The scent was also exploding off my skin during the hot humid weather which was at or above 38 celsius during the day. Performance was insanely impressive too, of which I was yielding 16 strong hours -- at times the scent got annoying! 🤣 I am definitely going to cop myself a back-up bottle later this year! 🤑 Score: 7.5/10

JPG is a hype train which can cause you to swan dive into a purchase, but hold on a sec first. The violet note needs to be right up there on that scent profile with the strongest notes, and this is not your fresh masculine invictus aqua / born in roma violet leaf, this is straight up parma violet sweets. I think you have to be a bit quirky with your fragrances to get along with this, it’s definitely gonna hit others noses different to your typical masculine woody frag. I will probably have full wearings to enjoy it mostly for myself and when not particularly trying to impress, or layer two sprays on top of paradise garden and le beau le parfum to mix things up.

One of my favorite Le Beau fragrances. Sooooo underrated. It’s very fresh and airy with some fruity citrus. For some reason I get le male elixir dna from it but fresh and citrusy. It’s still really good. It lasts not too badly. It’s a great everyday scent and summer scent and the bottle is my favorite from the le beau line. Edit: I tried this again and this is my favorite le beau im definitely getting this! I also feel a creaminess from this it’s very airy and I have a hint of vanilla. Great stuff, gettting it soon. 8.5/10 this is my signature I feel it

I actually really like this. I thought JPG would have a difficult time following up Paradise Garden but this is just phenomenal. It's a perfect flanker to PG and comes very close to dethroning it. My only complaint is that it appears JPG has decreased the quality of their packaging. The can is now very thin and malleable. The atomizer and the clip are different, as well, and feel somewhat cheap. But the fragrance itself is very fruity and playful. Absolute summertime perfection. Can't wait to wear this when it gets warmer. 8.8/10

I really hated this when I got it because it’s just wasn’t what I was expecting Now that I’ve had it for a year I can honestly say I really love it and find myself reaching for it every time the sun comes out. I’m not a fan of “blue” leaning fragrance so this is as close as I’ll get to loving one for now. I put it on around lunch time after moisturizing and it’s 11:40pm and I’m still projecting strongly. Even though it’s very different from the rest, I see why this earns its spot in the line and think it belongs.

Fresh, sweet and pleasant fragrance. Smells like a mix of Le Beau Le Parfum and Paradise Garden, but without the creaminess and coconut. Best used in warmer weather, so anywhere from late spring to early fall works, absolutely perfect for summer. Performance is decent, on skin it projects for ~6 hours with good sillage. You can boost the performance by also spraying it on your clothes, where it lasts for over 12 hours and projects like a beast! Masculine scent, leans day time use. Overall 9.5/10

I think this is the best fragrance in the le beau line. Something Jean Paul Gaultier does very nicely is their signature DNA. It's that creamy tonka bean amber we all love. At first, it smells like febreeze, but give it a little time and this fragrance really emphasizes that amazing DNA on the dry down, accompanying it with some nice fresh florals and an extremely tiny hint of orange along the way. I really recommend if you want something more playful and lighter than le beau le parfum.

Such a great fragrance I feel like it doesn’t get the love it deserves. There’s something about this fragrance almost like dryer sheet type quality it’s thick and sweet without being too overbearing for the hot weather, it might be the kumquat and violet leaf working together like a sticky sweet airy aquatic styled fragrance.. that’s what I’m getting at least but I would say it’s backup bottle worthy I love when I get the opportunity to wear this one! 9/10

This is great. The le beau DNA is one of my favorites, and im not sure how they replicated it here w/o any coconut, but they nailed it. I find it to be softer than its brothers, maybe thanks to the cashmere? Its easier to wear than the others, and it fixes a problem all jpgs have which is their Aggressiveness. Its clean and soft w/o smelling like bedsheets; it sort of hits a scent area I havent quite seen before. I give it a 91 ovr.

This scent strongly reminds me of Le Beau Paradise Garden, but without the coconut and overpowering sweetness at the start. It’s not as green as Paradise Garden, and it’d say it’s more aquatic and aromatic. Beautiful blend or fruit, florals and patchouli! Despite this being a male fragrance, I would say it leans towards unisex due to that initial sweetness and freshness at the top

Smells soo good! Fresh, sweet and flowery but masculine in my opinion. It’a on the weak side though considering it’s a perfume. I need to overspray and it projects within an arms lenght. Lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin and sillage is good I think.I walked past my son and he said I smelled good 😁 I use this when I don’t want to smell coconutty from JPGPG.

This is love at first sniff, a beautiful aromatic floral fragrance so fresh, citrusy, floralz its just summer in a bottle. This is formal but also casual, versatile but not mass apealing. This is generic and it leans more on the unisex side but I will always adore this fragrance. Matter of fact I have this on right now!

I blind bought this fragrance not expecting much but god i was suprised this is a beautiful citrus smooth fragrance it has a very slight Parma violet smell, I hate Parma violets but this is so subtle it lifts the other notes up great underrated fragrance clean easy to wear and gets compliments.

Fresh, floral, hint of sweetness. This is absolutely perfect for those warm days when you really just want to feel uplifted and clean. Great performance for a freshie and I love how different this is from the others in the Le Beau line. It could easily have been a standalone release!

I think this is the best Le Beau for me, because I didn't liked that synthetic coconut in the others Le Beau fragrances. And this thing last longer even than Le Beau Le Parfum. I was very surprised to receive a compliment after 9 hours, at work, for this perfume. It is soooo good.

Got this as soon as it came out in the airport for 100 pound,this is my all time faveourite fragrance in my collection.I recommend this to anyone who can get their hands on it on sale or with an discount,this is a perfume no dupe can reacreate.Overall 11/10.

People either hate it or love it. Personally i love it because its a nice fresh smell and pretty masculine but some people say its feminine. Lasted around 8 hours before the smell started to fade. Overall pretty good summer fragrance. 9/10

Such a lovely refreshing perfume, I loved the way it switch in performance. its a very intimate perfume, very unique in its own way... I can see my self wearing it at work and in causal outgoings... very interesting indeed over all 9/10

I have to say I dig it. Cool fresh take on violet which happens to be one of my goated notes (armani eau de cedre does it best). Not very masculine but not feminine either. Whoever votes that it is similar to Fleur de male is lost.

Flower edition is very 50/50 for some people. In my opinion its violet leaf note is really enticing and many I’ve asked say it reminds them of candy. Me personally it reminds me of Parma violets.10/10 pour moi!

I’m not a big fan of other le beau’s because of the heavy coconut scent so i bought this one and it’s really perfect. If you want a summer jpg but hate the coconut smell then go for flower edition.

Very fresh light and airy like the le beau line just without the signature le beau coconut. This is a good daily or even going out kind of scent. Can wear this anywhere all year round.

Very lovely parfume. Just fades so fast. After 10+ sprays it was still gone after an hour or so outside in the heat. Gonna pass on a full bottle but i can appreciate the DNA

Has grown on me more and more since I bought it despite not loving it when I got it originally, very unique and refreshing especially compared to other JPGs.

THIS IS THE BEST LE BEAU WITHOUT A DOUBT. (I own the entire Le Beau line) This fragrance is unique and absolutely amazing. If you happen to find it BUY IT.

Flower Edition isn't a hard to find fragrance. It's been on sale on the JPG website for quite some time now and recently become available at Macys.

To me, its like Le Beau EDT and Versace Eau Fraiche had a unisex, fresh frag baby. The violet and kumquat is genuinely fantastic.

You smell rich, good for summer specially if its not under sun.Longevity is low compare to other jpg. Need good amount of spray

im in love with the scent but the performance is lackluster on me it last a lot but after like 3 hours it becomes a skin scent

Very good, buy if you want a unique floral and tropical designer fragrance without coconut or a green smell.

Sooo..... On the first spray, you learn to dislike the flower onament's placement really quickly! Its ok when holding the bottle :/ but spaying it. meh it kinda lands under my fingers all the time! I'm pretty sure its going to get broken or ripped off. Best case , over time it will just collect dust and random dirt if you leave this bottle out in the open or in your gym bag, hand bag, foot bag, ball bag. Im not sure what the thinking was behind it but I hope it doesnt become a trend. Lets get to the Smell !!... It's an instantly bright and fresh fruit smelling scent cause of that Kumquat note, which is a nice touch and also an intersting direction to take. But I cant help but feel this is an extremly feminine opening for a male fragrance. Because the fruit pulls back and the florals moves forward fast. After a few minutes that Violet leaf moves front stage and it is good , really good, if you like Violet leaf. :-) I will be wearing this for the next few days to get a better sense of how it evolves, but it is cold here and this is clearly not a winter frag and wont do anyone any favours smelling it on a grey raining day. I know this will do well in summer and with a bit of body sweat, this can transform into an aboolute beast for poolside or by the beach days without having to smell like everyone else with their coco-nuts and generic sun creams. JPG Flower edt. screams freshness and the fruit is defo there, mostly in the background now but its very well done, not overly sweet and not at all heavy. is it good ? - Absolutely is it masculine ? - Not at all signature scent worthy ? - No is it forgettable ? - Without a doubt The more I wear it the more I dont want to and thats not a good thing as I do like the jpg line. Will wait till summer to see if the outcome is signifficantly better/worse

The can is beautiful. The bottle is virtually identical to the other Le Beau bottles, other than the huge plastic flower that is glued to the guy’s right chest like a boutonnière for prom. The plastic flower looks ok but it seems like it could break off fairly easily. I agree with most of the previous comments ... this is pretty nice. I don’t really know what kumquat is supposed to smell like but I am very familiar with Violet Flowers and Leaves, and this does possess a nice, albeit somewhat synthetic Violet accord. It also smells like it could be a popular new flavor of Kool-Aid. But I do like it, it is quite pleasant. Perhaps slightly too sweet but not horribly so. It is definitely less sweet than Ultra Male and last year’s Le Male Lover, and slightly sweeter than Le Beau Le Parfum, if that helps. Up until now I would rank the Le Beau line as Paradise Garden #1, Le Beau Le Parfum #2 and Le Beau #3. I would place Le Beau Flower Edition at #2 closely behind Paradise Garden. One interesting comment, I wore it all day yesterday and my first gut reaction was that I like it, but it is one notch too sweet. But today, on my second wearing, I seem to have quickly adjusted to it, and the hypersweetness is definitely less noticeable. I still wish the green qualities of the violet were more pronounced to help temper the sweetness, but I still like it. I would give it an 7/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.10. I’m glad I blind bought it from the JPG website. As long as you aren’t super turned off by youthful, mass appealing, moderately sweet fragrances, I think it is a safe blind buy.

Le Beau Flower Edition is a very basic smelling fragrance, which isn’t to say it’s bad because it’s not but it’s simple and unoriginal. It’s a very pleasant clean smelling light citrus with hints of floral, sweetness and a slight watery note mixed in. It is a very basic and common masculine slightly floral citrus fragrance. Performance wise Le Beau Flower editon is right down the middle in both longevity and projection. I got just under 6 hours of skin wear and only about 2 of clothes wear. A solid 5/10 here. Projection was I got decent performance, in a range of about two feet for the first 2 hours before fading to a skin scent for the last 4 hours. This was only surprising due to this being a JPG, all the others I have tried before now have extremely strong projection. Another 5/10 here. Le Beau Flower Edition smells pleasent but in the simple mass appealing way, which to be fair is exactly what I expect from a JPG fragrance. It is not a fragrance with extreme projection but it performs well. Overall it is a solid scent if you want a more masculine floral and citrus fragrance that is easy to wear. A 6/10 for me.

Honest Review: The branding of this fragrance is confusing. If you are expecting the “Le Beau” DNA, then you’re going to be disappointed. That being said, this is not a bad fragrance. Visually i would have preferred if they used the same material they used for the leaf 🍁 in paradise garden, instead of the “bulky”plastic flower lol. The opening is quite floral, fresh & sweet. There is a hint of citrus in the background. It’s a bright and smooth fragrance and i find it quite unisex, the scent is very good. It also has a powdery clean smell that goes excellent for the gym & spring/summer. If you want something fresh that uses floral accord instead of coconut/citrus, then you should definitely try this one. I would have loved if they played with the coconut of the previous flankers and the flower accord. I can’t speak of performance as I had to wash my hands to try other fragrances. Remember that fragrance preferences are subjective and may perform differently on each person skin, give it a try... ;) Regards, Snow

This is legit the first male fragrance in my collection that absolutely falls into the perfume category. I have a lot of sweet scents but they still retain some touch of masculinity, but not Le Beau Flower Edition. And this smells absolutely NOTHING like Creed’s Green Irish Tweed. It couldn’t be further away from that masterpiece. It sort of reminds me of Blu Atlas Atlantis if you were to replace the peach and apricot with kumquat. That air freshener vibe is extremely similar between the two. This is a really nice scent by itself though and it actually lasts a good 6-7 hours on my skin and forever on clothing. Lovely smell for sure but damn this is more feminine than anything. The Paradise Garden flanker is still the best one in the line for me and I would recommend that one or the original EDT first.

This was a blind buy and is also my first fragrance from JPG. I have to say it's definitely a profile that I don't reach for a lot, despite really enjoying florals in my scents. I really just get Febreeze at first. I think this every time I spray it. While the floral element in that scent fades a bit after a while the scent does last a long time. I can still smell it 7hours later on myself and days later on my hoodies. The dry down is singular, resulting in a very synthetic cashmere that isn't bad, but also very much not universal. I'm going to have to play around with things to pair this with in order for it to get used. It's not bad, but could have more personality for its price point.

I am rarely fond of violet, but the way it’s smoothly blended with the super fresh, fruity, and ozonic notes makes it quite enjoyable. The drydown stays ozonic with that clinging violet, and I'm getting a hint of what seems like patchouli in the base, which grounds the fragrance and gives it a very slight earthy nuance. Best suited for the warmest days. Not as similar to the rest of the Le Beau line, which might just be a good thing. I find this to be the lightest and freshest out of them all. As others have mentioned, the bottle is uncomfortable to hold due to the protruding plastic flower. My fingers got trapped, and I was scared of dropping the bottle because of it.
