Le Beau

Love this fragrance and it’s beautiful dry down. Once you apply, you’ll get a coconuty bergamot blow that’s sure to intrigue anyone who’s a fan of coconut or citrus notes, I’m both personally, and this is the only fragrance I’ve smelt that’s done it well without smelling like heavy syrup (Le Beau EDP) or fresh cut grass with a hint of coconut (Le Beau Paradise Garden). Now, right after that opening past 30-50 minutes you’ll smell a lot of coconut with the bergamot still present, just not as strong but it does rightfully so that the smell is so enjoyable and you won’t wanna stop smelling your wrist. After that, around 1.5 hours you’ll smell the final note, the tonka bean, and it’s not possible to explain how well it wraps as a whole this cologne, it’s gonna leave that sweet coconut bergamot smell on your wrist that’s not possible to overspray (if you do you’ll only smell alcohol) and is sure to get you compliments. It’s hard to choose off of what fragrance TikTok or instagram tells you to get, and going in person and getting a smell at what the fragrance world is all about is such a moment that everyone needs to experience, because, this is easily my most preferred Le Beau off of the line, does it very well, doesn’t fell heavy or weak, radiates just enough so people sitting around you will smell it, but not enough to choke a room with your cologne, combines coconut and bergamot, but doesn’t smell like spoiled coconut or steroid coconut syrup, and most importantly, it’s not mass appealing, it’s not gonna be everyone’s favorite, but that means not everyone will be rocking it because they’re afraid of the opening note, but let it sit on your skin, I’ll guarantee you, you won’t be the only one having trouble takes at this fragrance. Overall, love this release, would definitely buy again, and it’s done perfectly, there’s nothing much to add, the minimalistic note layering is already set to perfection, the price is fair for what you’re getting, and if it’s spring or summer for you, don’t walk, run to buy this asap, it’s getting gatekept online and it’s hard to find a men’s fragrance that receives that treatment. I hope you’re feeling like buying this, because I can already see myself wearing this cologne until it is bone dry, there’s so many spring, summer, beach, sunset, park occasions that are in favor of this beautifully done Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau EDT.

Out of all the fragrances I own I find myself reaching for this one the most. Its a far cry from the best fragrance I own, but its one of the most versatile. Its an easy boost of confidence, a very casual and simple scent. Its a fragrance that I'll never regret putting on, or think back and wish I'd used another. It starts with a light, sweet citrus and half an hour later it transitions to a soft creamy coconut with almost a slightly woody smell, then a while later settles with the sweet, nutty slightly thicker base notes. It's definitely on the more youthful side, but still masculine. Its performance is not bad, projecting for 3-4 hours on a typical day, and even 5-6 on a hot one before it lingers close to you. Its mostly a summer fragrance, but I've found myself using it in the fall and winter somewhat often. Of course its performance takes a sizable dent, but you can just overspray it. Note: Its parfum variant can confidently be used in the fall and winter About its brother, Le Beau Le Parfum, I've tried it in stores and bought testers for it, and I wouldn't say they're interchangeable. Objectively, LBLP is a far superior fragrance, offering way better performance, and in my opinion better notes and general smell. But, It doesn't have the same feel to it, its heavier and more serious, suited to a different occasion, like a night out, or a party. I'd hesitate using it during the day, and stay away from it when its hot out. I love both, but the original is suited for far more occasions which is why I'd recommend getting it if you plan on using it as an everyday. I do love LBLP, and do plan on getting it when the time is right. Overall this is an 8.5/10 Didn't blow my mind, but that's the point. A well rounded everyday spray. And it's perfect for it.

Of all Le Beau's, the version that I think smells the most original is the EDT. Le Beau EDT stands out as the most original and easy-to-use scent of the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau universe. Starting with the refreshing energy of bergamot at the opening, this perfume takes on a warm, dizzying but never heavy character by blending with tonka bean. It creates an elegant charm by staying tropical but not far away from artificiality. It is a balanced and risk-free perfume that can be easily preferred for daily use and special moments. Le Beau Parfum offers a more intense, seductive and night-appropriate character compared to EDT. Amber notes add sweetness and depth; however, this intensity may not be suitable for every environment. It is ideal for those looking for a more striking effect, but it can be suffocating on some skins or in hot weather. Paradise Garden can be considered the most experimental scent of the series. Its fruity and floral aspects are more pronounced; this makes it different and exotic. However, this originality may be too niche or unusual for some users. It may not appeal to everyone and may not be easily carried in every environment. A pickle dream for me. In conclusion, Le Beau EDT is like the cornerstone of the series. It is neither too bold nor too subtle. It has a character that is both modern and timeless. It is easy to use, risk-free, but still far from ordinary. It is a safe and impressive choice for both beginners and collectors.

I bought this with the intention to have a brighter and more fresh version of my le beau le parfum. And it happened to be just exactly that. The opening is fresh, you can really pick up on that citrus note, that combined with the coconut 🥥 gives an airy and almost powdery vibe, and it is quite nice, and masculine. And is ever so slightly more versatile that le parfum. Other than the exquisite scent you get with this one, the projection and longevity is something to seriously consider before spending your hard on cash on this. While it does project pretty good for the first hour, I have to admit the longevity let me down. Though I am aware of the EDT formula i was expecting to have a good 3-5 hour performance but if I'm being honest i could barely pick up the scent after the 3 hour mark and it sort of disappeared. Which begs the question, how will you use this fragrance, are you hoping to put on a couple sprays and be set for the night? Are you gonna bring this fragrance with you to re-apply so that the scent never goes away. Or are you looking for something not to powerful. Well sadly if you are hoping to have a fragrance that is lasting you the entire day this cant be for you. The best way to use this fragrance is to overspray if you want to be seen, or re-apply throughout the day.🥥🌴 I rate this fragrance a 7/10. Incredible innovative scent, mediocre performance.

The beach....in a bottle Light yet masculine, starts witht the usual slight zesty touch of the usual JPG signature lavender/sage edged with fruity cinnamon, followed by a majestic ocean fresh breezy aquatic aromatic heart of delicious coconut, dries down slightly woody and clean balsams......truly refreshing, addictive and uplifting. simple, warm, seductive, delicate yet definitely masculine friendly. Its a summertime masterpiece that just doesn't work in winter or low temperatures, and to be honest is hardly a powerhouse in summer and high temperatures either, but its so good it can just about get away with its consistently lame performance. Projection ...low to moderate.....longevity.....low.....it doesn't last long enough for me, but i love it while it shines, like the warmth and health of the sun. Of the ones i've tried Le Beau is definitely my favourite Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance. A gorgeous summertime gem....just got performance issues scent 9/10 longevity 5/10 sillage 7/10 (but just doesn't last)

this has easily become my signature for the summer!!! imo its the best in the line, the le parfum being too thick and the paradise garden being a bit too green and gingery for my taste. this is super simple fresh and creamy coconut with tonka vanilla sweetness with a slight citrusy freshness in the opening from the bergamot which does fade away pretty quickly to be fair. this would be perfect if they improved upon the performance. this isnt weak but its no where near strong or beast mode, it sits between that middle line. it lasts about 5-7 hours on my skin so some might need to reapply or spray the same spot twice and i can see myself needing to reapply throughout the day, but tbh i feel like if you just spray a shit ton on you wont need to reapply. for me i need about 8-12 sprays of this stuff for it to have a nice projection and longevity, if this performed just a bit better it would be perfect!! but the scent alone is an amazing blend of tropical sweetness and freshness

There are many myths out there that say, “the higher the concentration of perfume oil, the better the longevity,” and I’ve heard them many times and ended up believing them all. As a result, I didn’t find EDC very attractive because EDT was better. Similarly, when I looked at EDT, I hesitated to buy it because EDP was far superior, and so on. But it turns out that this is not true, based on my own journey in looking for perfumes. Let’s take Jazz Club, By The Fireplace, Dylan Blue, Sauvage EDT, and Le Beau as examples. Their longevity is excellent, and their projection is just as good. For that reason, I don’t think you need to get hung up on whether it’s an EDT, EDP, or “pure perfume.” Back to Le Beau, I think the unique coconut scent in this perfume will suit those of you who like sweet fragrance. As someone who loves sweet perfumes, I also like the scent. Of course, 9.5 is a fair score for Le Beau.

Le Beau is summer in a bottle, smooth and fresh with a tropical edge, a wave of coconut goodness that makes you feel like you should be drinking cocktails on a beach somewhere. It is ridiculously easy to wear, effortlessly attractive, and honestly my favourite daily fragrance for hot weather. Every time I spray it I just think, omg, this is perfect. The bottle is just as stunning as the scent. Sculpted, sleek, with that little stand that makes it feel like a piece of art on display, it looks great and feels even better in the hand. It is one of the few bottles where I genuinely enjoy the design as much as the fragrance itself. The only minor downside is longevity, but even that is not really a problem. It holds up fine, and if you need more staying power just grab the EDP version and you are set.

Man, this is good designer perfumery. Nothing to comment on the scent profile, pretty self explanatory and straightforward in a simple yet unique style. This kills women, that's all i gotta say. Good longevity, 6-7 hours on skin, projection is moderate to light, but it is definitely decent considering the scent profile. In my experience, this is how the line performs: 1. Elixir (24 hours, gone till you shower) 2. LBLP (12 hours) 3. Ultramale (8-10 hours, insane projection) 4. Le Male EDT (8 hours, moderate projection, nice staying power on skin) 5. Le Beau EDT (6-7 hours, okay projection, stays on skin a good while) 6. Le Male LP (5-6 hours, only stays more time in fall, skin scent on me but smells the best out of all :') ) Please Make a LMLP absolu JPG 😅

I bought mine last year in 2025 and since I live in London the summer is very short lived, but as far as I tested it during the peak high temperature it performs well around 7 hrs which is really good for an EDT. However, this projects only for 45 to 60 mins and is noticeable to other closer to you for 2/3 hours after which is becomes sweet aromatic skin scent. I really enjoyed this more than the Le Beau le Parfum, which is way too sweet for my liking when used in high heat is extremely headache inducing and cloying to others however it is very nice of cooler spring/summer day/nights and winters. If you live where the Summer/Spring is mild around 25 deg or less go for Le beau Le Parfum or else Le Beau EDT is your best buy.

I can't point out any flaws, might be one of if not the best JPG. Very fruity/coconuty scent which has a slightly synthetic opening but doesn't get weighed down at all by it. Fresh and appealing everyday summer wear with a moderate performance, designed to dry down into a subtle skin tonka bean coconut scent. Gets a ton of compliments despite its pretty (intentionally) lackluster projection as well so theres that. Also one of the cheapest JPGs when you look in the right places. Overall its amazing. I'd even go as far as to day better than its EDP counterpart since this ones more fresh and versatile for many occassions. 10/10, defo copping a full 125ml.

Gorgeous! Fragrances for men tend to be a bit same-y to me, but this is truly a gem! Tropical coconut, airy vanilla, and a fresh spiciness; not overly mature, but not juvenile either. The PERFECT spring/summer daytime scent for just about any man! Longevity and sillage are on the weaker side of average, but it's an EDT, so that's to be expected. Spraying from a tester, but the bottle is absolutely beautiful. Love that dark teal with the gold accents! Handsome, solar, sexy, and perfectly decadent. Once a suitor comes my way, he'll certainly be receiving a full bottle of this from me at the earliest gift-giving holiday. 9/10!

I was concerned that the coconut would be too much in the Le Beau fragrances (I'm not trying to smell like Hawaiian shirt guy, but you do you.), but Mr. Quentin Bisch and Mrs. Sonia Constant got it just right in my book. This is a very enjoyable tonka-focused scent with a bit of coconut blended in. I think this can come off as formal or casual and work for all ages. Unisex and can be worn year-round but may not be powerful enough to cut through cold temps. In spite of its less-than-stellar projection and longevity, Le Beau still gets a "love" from me because I look forward to smelling it so much.

This stuff is sneaky good. I prefer it over the le parfum, against popular opinion it seems. A little less sweetness. I know officially only three notes, but it seems much deeper than that. I cant stop sniffing it throughout the day. Refined, smooth, sophisticated, but yet fun, a vibe. I would say this can be worn anytime with exception of maybe really cold temps or very formal events. Not that it couldnt, but I would likely reach for something else in those situations. Performance for me is prob about 8-10 hours, with projection being moderate for about 3-4 hours. A+ and solidly in my rotation.

Beauty in a bottle. This right here is fresh, it's clean, it's coconuty, it's desserety goodness. It's like the elixir of a summer time yum-yum. You can't go wrong with this ever. This is truly the greatest Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance of all time. It's youthful, it's seductive, and it's mass appealing. This may be one of the safest blind-buys you can get, though I will admit it is slightly synthetic. Definitely pulls compliments and is arguably unisex depending on who you are. I can almost promise you, your singificant other will love this one. Amazing scent. 9.4/10

This smells great. It's the best in the Le Beau line because it's the most versatile. It doesn't smell like you have syrup sprayed on you but it still has solid performance. This gives driving along a tropical beach in a convertible vibes. Airy not too sweet beachy . It is a bit more lactonic than expected. I really like that this doesn't smell too youthful . It can be worn by everyone. Performance is a good 6 hours. Light sillage . Projects for about an hour. 8/10. I would have preferred some coconut water and maybe a touch of cashmere. But that's just my taste.

Im pretty late to the party here. Better late than never. This fragrance is absolutely amazing! The coconut/tonka combo here is perfectly sweet and the bergamot really lightens things up. In my whole collection this is A, the only one I was fine paying retail for and B, the only one I decided to buy a backup bottle of. As far as longevity goes on my skin I get a solid 8-9 hours. An hour and a half of strong projection, about two more hours of moderate projection and the rest is mild projection with a moderate sillage. Very good juice!

I initially got the Le Beau EDT as a sample just to see what it was like compared to Le Beau Le Parfum, and I was shocked by how much I loved this scent. It smells refreshing and features simple, clean notes. I went through the entire sample within a month and had to order a 4.2 oz. I personally think that this, as well as my Coach for Men, will continue to be my summer signature scents. I highly recommend everyone try this out, especially if you're looking for a cologne that is sweet, crisp, and refreshing.

My favorite part of wearing fragrances is being able to smell my little scent bubble as I go about my day. Unfortunately, although I know other people are smelling me (because I've gotten compliments), I get no scent bubble to my own nose and can't smell it unless I put my nose to my skin. Too light of a scent I guess. Maybe I'll revisit it because I love the idea of a citrusy coconut fragrance but at this moment i have to shift to paradise gardens because I can smell myself in the air for hours with that.

My brother wanted this for Christmas and I thought that this would be a normal douchebag perfume like Dior Savage och Versace Eros so I was not looking forward buying this and him walking around bringing shame to our family (I'm joking). But smelling this was a shock! It smells like vanilla, coconut, tropical goodness but still with that "masculine" element. This gets a 10/10 from me even tho I haven't felt the sillage and longevity, but the smell is SO GOOD. More men should wear this!

Le Beau EDT is one of my favorite summertime evening scents. The coconut is centerstage from initial spray to the final fade out. The bergamot is gone within a few minutes of initial application which is fine because I got this for when I want a coconut tropical vibe and have other citrusy summer freshies that have the bergamot as the star. The wife is absolutely crazy for this stuff, so I got that going for me which is nice. This does have me curious to try Le Beau Le Parfum.

A really nice smelling Citrus, Coconut and mostly Tonka beans. Close to JPG Scandal Le parfum but brighter. It's perfect for social situation if you're young, hanging out and going to parties. Thus it's not a bomb so people will not hate you if they don't like the smell. Only my dad hates it bc it smells so youthful and irresponsible. Much more sophisticated and pleasant than any Versace Eros. Highly recommend for <30 years old for going out (forbidden at work).

This is to me the best fragrance from Jean-Paul Gaultier. It is better than Le Beau Le Parfum as the coconut note is more prominent and the overall scent of the fragrance is more preferable. The fragrance opens with a bright opening of coconut with a touch of bergamot being replaced by the sweet and almost woody tonka bean note. The fragrance is sweet but still fresh and coconut-y for the summer, perfect for going out in town or at the beach during the summer.

This fragrance for me is a solid 9/10, it is great for summer but not so much on a formal occasion as it lacks sophistication, I also believe that it can be worn all year round. I think the notes listed on Fragrantica are not very accurate as I get a bit of pineapple in the opening and some vanilla in the dry down and also a small hint of lavender I think anyone can over the age of 30 should probably steer clear though. Overall an amazing fragrance.

Simple, yet masterfully crafted. Coconut, Vanilla and Citrus done perfectly. Not too sweet, not too salty, just perfect for men. If you would like a tropical scent that is not a sweetness bomb, rather a salty ocean with sweet coconut trees that bring a note of sweetness with the wind, this is it. One of the best, only drawback is longevity and projection, but also it makes it perfect for office, because its not in your face.

JPG Le Beau is in my arguably in my opinion the better than le beau le parfum. the simple combination of citris and coconut just really works for me and if i had the chance, i would definantly buy again as a summer fragrasnce. I can understand why people prefer le beau le parfum because of it's more spread out notes and diversity but the original le beau will still be my favorite of the le beau's.

The way it smells on your shirt the following day is how it should smell on you shortly after you spray. It has a very synthetic and headache-inducing opening. The smell is quite good, and the performance out of an EDT is exceptional, but I can't get over that synthetic part. It is one of the very few scents where a headache is imminent. I wish I could have kept this one, but I sold it.

This cologne is so strong I put on one spray and my dog died. Jk it's actually a really good fragrance for summer the coconut in my opinion best in the le beau line. It smells very sweet and alot like coconut. It's not a very strong scent but it would be damn near perfect if the performance was better. I personally think it's better for younger guys but wear whatever you want. 8.2/10

The edt is the perfect strength for this type of fragrance. Perfect if youre looking for a tropical creamy scent for the summer/spring. You could definitely wear this year round as well i just think it thrives in the warmer weather. Some may find it lotiony or shampoo esk, I disagree. I think it smells more complex than a basic coconut shampoo. 9/10 creamy summer scent

Check this out for yourself. Based on many of the reviews I did not think it was going to be any good. It’s a compliment monster. Citrusy tonka woods with a coconut accord. Yes with great projection and silage. It’s JPG Popeye meets Chanel allure home sport eau extreme with a wonderful coconut accord. The bottle is simply amazing as well. Be well

A very sweet refreshing scent. My fiance loves this one and I do as well. I wouldn’t consider it a special occasion scent. I see everyone saying it’s coconut heavy but I just don’t get that, it’s not a heavy coconut to my nose. Very pleasing scent that I wear most days, one of my daily drivers for summer and the leading and trailing months.

Fantastic fragrance 💯 freshly well blended ideal for summer and spring day or night fair longevity sillage is decent. Completely disagree with the cons that fragrantica has described which apparently it describes having a Synthetic opening resembles car freshener, didn't get that all from this. It's a fragrance you can't dislike

Perfect daily driver for warm weather. Masculine but sweet enough to be inviting and charismatic. Doesn't last too long and is a bit pricey, but gets noticed in public and complimented. Le Beau is not too complex or heavy for most people, and you won't find it as divisive as other men's fragrances. This is a crowd pleaser

Extreeeeemly good! I love it, my gilrfriend loves it. Its coconut and summer, sweet and coldweather at the same time. Its suppose to be a summer flanker, but i think its gonna shine even in colder weather( maybe not cold like finland winter) Not for formal events, but like hanging out and being a sexy 20-35 y/o dude :D

Absolutely fantastic fragrance. Masterpiece in a bottle. Of all the coconut/tropical fragrances I’ve ever smelt this is by far the best one. Perfect if you’re a big tropical fan like me. It’s not too heavy or overbearing. Would recommend strongly to anyone interested in it. 8.5/10 normally 10/10 in spring

I got this fragrance in April. It’s my summer daily driver. It’s so damn good, from the opening to the dry down. However, I’d recommend coughing up the extra 20 bucks and getting the Le Parfum. More bang for your buck for sure as it’s stronger. Can’t go wrong with either. My favorite summer currently.

In my opinion this is the BEST summer fragrance ever made! It smells mainly like coconut and is suitable for almost anybody. It may smell synthetic at first but after a while it starts to smell natural. The bottle is beautiful and high quality, and the atomizer is okay too! Would recommend, 10/10

The summer in a bottle. Its fresh with a sweetie coconut vibe mixed perfectly. For me it last for 5 hours on skin and on clothes for days . I spray 5 - 7 times. Its the best fragrance that i have . Better than le parfum. Don't listen to the bad reviews . It's the best

I honestly have no clue why people hate on this fragrance so much. To me it smells like a masculine pina colada in a bottle. The only problem I see with this is the performance, it gives me 5-6 hours. But overall an amazing summer fragrance and way too overhated.

It's good juice guys, I love the scent profile. I recently brought Tommy Hilfiger paradise summer, which supposed to smell like this. Serves me right for listening to people on Fragantica. Le Bleau is amazing and would definitely want to s.ell the parfum edition

This is a fresh and sweet fragrance extraordinaire! I keep smelling my wrist when I spray it on. I usually find JP Gaultier’s fragrances overpowering, but this has so much exuberance and brilliance that it works to its advantage. Love it!

I just want to eat this perfume. INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, all I can say it smells like sexy, sweet, fruity coconut. And compliments are amazing. Took this on my vaccation to Greece and I got compliments even after 4 hours of applying this.

Very light and tropical, smells like coconut with the bergamot adding a very uplifting brightness to it and the tonka gives it a bit of depth. Tropical vacation in a bottle maybe the best summer fragrance for the money 9/10

I love Le Beau EDT i got it in a trade with my friend, i traded YSL EDP for it and I’m very satisfied yesterday i wore it and got 3 compliments, and it has amazing coconut, and it suprisingly lasted all day
