Le Male Elixir Collector Edition

I got this pretty cheap for my country its like 80 bucks 125ml tester normal price is around 177 when its first launched. Its almost same as le male elixir but I think collector edition doesnt have strong mint and lavender opening because I hate the opening of le male elixir, opening way too minty and lavender smell its change quick but its bothered me, also performance is lower on this one for my test I dont wear so much but le male elixir almost beast to me and this one is okey but not beast projection same but longevity little poor for me.

Just got this as a early Xmas present and Its exactly the same as the original just in the collectors edition jacket and display box that's really nice, with collectors edition on the front plastic display screen, I'm in Australia a yes Myer shows a plum note but trust me there isn't one. So unless you want the collectors edition just buy the OG. Amazing protection and can still smell it on skin the next day.

@Thorbern In fact, there is no need for anything other than food. We didn't need nothing else from the very beginning of the homosapien, until we noticed our own sweat stinky odor. Although I prefer we all humans to live naked, I wouldn't want to walk among a crowd of people that won't use underarm deodorant.

But killjoy funsuckers like you would take all the pleasure out out life. It's a Christmas edition, something Gaultier has done for 30 years. It's 'collectable'. While I would say that compared to the flamboyant excess of previous decades, modern Gaultier Christmas sets are more than a little lacking in creativity, that's not really a good reason to be a curmudgeon, a sourpuss, a kvetch (I love a good thesaurus). Let us celebrate the frivolous, the whimsical, just in case someone decides that owning more than two fragrances should be a capital crime.

@Learning about fragrances Hmmm, so you're seeing plum down in Australia?! I went to the Gaultier website and the verbiage—with the usage of the word "swapping"—makes me think it's just the same elixir, but a different bottle. One thing IS for certain, however. Gaultier isn't lacking when it comes to excessive copywriting for fragrance descriptions! If they put as much effort into CLEARLY conveying what the hell a product REALLY is, versus sending consumers down an endless rabbit hole, we may be more inclined to purchase. Then again, it's Puig... they're the "experts" at rebottling rehashed ingredient lists and marketing the outcome as an entirely "new" fragrance. 🙄

Are we sure this is JUST a collector's edition? I ask because Fragrantica states "this is a new fragrance." When compared to the notes listed at the top of the page, the collector's edition lists the following 7 notes/scent categories: tobacco sweet vanilla amber aromatic honey warm spicy The original lists these 10 notes/scent categories: vanilla sweet honey aromatic amber lavender tobacco green fresh spicy powdery Can anyone shed some light as to whether or not this is in fact a new fragrance or not?

@FragrancyHobby I can’t comment on any difference there may or may not be between this and the original listing, but I came here to see if it was a different fragrance altogether because Myer in Australia has it listed as Le Elixir Holiday Collector and the promo picture that shows the bottle with lavender, tonka, and benzoin in the background says lavender, tonka, and plum.

Yet another limited edition bottle design added as an entirely separate fragrance listing LOL. This is just incredibly messy and confusing and opens the door to speculation and trolls. Fragrantica needs to implement Parfumo's method of including custom/limited bottle designs under the same fragrance listing.

What I love about this version is the Collector Edition looks cool; the bottle design is striking and makes it a standout piece on my shelf. Even though the scent itself is the same as the regular Elixir, that unique presentation adds an extra layer of enjoyment for me.

people already hating a fragrance that just came out, claiming to be pointless, when in reality it's a collectable for people who like collecting, and the fact that this isn't the only company to do this, just look at CH bad boy line. 🥀

Please fragrantica add sub categories to fragrances for collectors editions/limited editions, it will make it way easier to navigate.
