Scandal Elixir

Ok, so..... I really like her. She's definitely a date night girly! She's dense, bold but also seductive - definitely a winter or cooler weather fragrance. On the opening - Iris! Once that initial Iris settles, there's an earthy, woodsy, somewhat jammy blackberry that comes through. The patchouli is there - but not in an aggressive way, which is thanks to the dark fruity sweetness. On the dry down everything softens. For some reason this is where I find the pink pepper along with a powdery iris. The earthy blackberry seems to dissipate this point. I actually really enjoy this fragrance but she won't be for everyone. I like the blend of the notes and I find it's been done really well. I personally feel Scandal Elixir leaves a heavy scent trail- which I don't mind but, it may not be something to wear to the office. It's weird because some of the reviews suggest there's no projection or staying power.... but heck I'm smelling her for hours! I'd rate 7/10.

Only got this fragrance today. But it was love at first sniff. It has been a long time since I smelled a new perfume as good as this. Scandal Elixir is a super sexy jammy perfume smell. It manages to be sweet without being boring or flat. great sillage. and lasting power. At last a new perfume that smells amazing. I can smell it on myself without having to over spray and getting a headache. And others can smell it on me too. Love It! Edit: Even though I believe this perfume can be worn all year round (Super Hot,Today, Here In The UK). I also see this perfume as being a wonderful Christmas Morning fragrance. I think it's because of the amazing Jamberry smell that it gives. I just imagine Christmas morning, presents under the tree and all that.

I didn't get the iris in this one...that's why I liked the perfume...ylang ylang...gardenia...berry...oris are more prominent Blood orange sticks out This is a date night sexy going out to seduce and attract all of the male attention and making out till the sunrise scent....don't believe me... I dont think this perfume is worth the price. It does smell great, a lot of iris, making it heavy sweet. But fresh flowers not like potpourri. My only complaint is longevity and sillage. Pretty close in your bubble perfume. After an hour it fades pretty quickly.

Scandal Elixir is for me another disappointment from the batch of new perfumes launched recently. As a berries and patchouli fan, I was expecting to at least like this scent. But on me, the dusty, earthy, cold and powdery iris shines the most and we’re rarely good friends. In here, the iris is not warm and sweet, which is the only way I like iris and it’s very pronounced. Not for me, but definitely for others! Therefore, I think that iris fans would love Scandal Elixir. It’s strong and long lasting, so I can see the value for money, cause it’s not cheap... The bottle is questionable, as the rest of this line, but if it’s your aesthetic, the rich, deep, shiny purple colour makes it eye catching. Also, it’s an iris for cold weather, it’s heavy and intense and a bit of an acquired taste if you’re asking me.

The opening is both spicy and earthy, with a "dusty" feel. I don’t get any cinnamon at all - instead, there’s an odd and rather unpleasant spicy accord, leaning towards a peppery patchouli. As it dries down, a vague, undefined fruity facet begins to emerge and gradually takes over. By the end of its life, this Elixir is reduced to a sweet, very generic scent, with no truly identifiable notes left. Overall, the iris/patchouli combination doesn’t work for me. It’s too dusty, and the whole thing feels poorly blended and not particularly pleasant. Disappointed.

I kind of like the smell of it, a pleasant very powdery iris, maybe a little too flat since lacking sweetness and blackberry is barely perceptible. More of a dual combo powdery iris/patchouli. On the other hand, performance is deceiving. The loudest scandal i used to have was scandal by night (discontinued), they reformulated scandal edp, then scandal absolu (which doesn’t last much now). Fortunately i am still left with a decent projection/longenvity with the scandal intense as last option. Please do better jean paul gaultier!

I don’t love iris as a note, so I tested this one. Surprisingly, it doesn’t come out as prominently as I had expected it to. It’s backed up with juicy berries. It’s not a perfume I would buy, but I can understand why others would love it. Performance is decent and it feels like it has richness and depth. I don’t associate with the others in the Scandal line.

Can’t wait to try it. If anyone have tried it please tell us about it ; how is the performance compared to other flankers? Is it powdery? Sweet? Bottle is magnificient just as the absolu is 😍

Smells like a failed dupe / wannabe la vie est belle l’elixir : a little more flat, more earthy, less sweat and less performant ?(performance is very bad)

Maybe this perfume just needs cold weather. I bought an original sample and tried it for the first time in warm weather, and it turned out to be a real disappointment. For me, it’s just another sweet luxury fragrance without any individuality. I don’t detect any DNA of the Scandal line at all. If I were given this fragrance blind, I would rather think it’s some Jimmy Choo, Elie Saab, or one of the many La Vie Est Belle flankers. The scent is dense and sweet, and it sits heavily on the skin - with no play, no development, and no nuances. It gives me the impression of a perfume store where dozens of fragrances were sprayed on blotters and then all mixed together into one pile. It becomes a sweet, thick cloud where it’s impossible to distinguish individual compositions anymore. That’s exactly how this perfume smells to me. Right now, I even regret the money I spent on this sample.

The iris is definitely the star of the show , very minimal fruity sweetness that blends in harmoney with the powdery facet that comes from iris. I was afraid that patchouli would ruin it as i dislike patchoulis but instead its setting it on subtle earthy ground , its definitely a reminiscent of 2000's (fruitchouli era) . comparison suggests LVEB elixir and i disagree as lancome is much fruitier and fizzier and has leather tone that makes it pop , if i had to compare i'd say its a hybrid between scandal OG and LVEB iris .. .. its nice but not distinctive enough to buy , you may mistake it for alot of other offerings from other brands , but if you love anything iris and dont mind patchouli then i'd say u will like it. I think the scandal elixir homme is more interesting tbh !

I don’t understand why this fragrance has iris mentioned as a note, since it doesn’t feel like that at all, or blackberry (?). I also find it very similar to Fame, which has zero iris, powder, berries, nothing of the sort. It’s mostly lactonic with a tinge of mango or some generic tropical fruitiness. To me this has absolutely nothing to do with the honey in the OG, which is what makes Scandal such a seductive fragrance and gives its identity. This is more akin to Black Opium, Prada Paradoxe, Burberry Goddess, etc. Absolutely nothing special.

@lamsarra i tested all flankers but i only own "so scandal" and i would say its more projecting and longer lasting on me idk maybe because i pull sweeter scents better ? But thats just my chemistry :) Nontheless , its not light nor weak i would say its a a bit above average (better than intense if you ask me) Have you ever tried LVEB iris ? I would say they are same category but i liked this one better , its girlier as blackberry makes it more wearable to me.

What the heck happened here? All I can say it's a barely-there fragrance and a very short-lived one. That's it. First, they fell for the ylang-ylang trend, now they are experimenting with iris. And no marketing trick will convince me that it's something worth its price. Bring Scandal OG back and so scandal, please.

I don’t even like iris that much at all but every little inner piece of Bob Wiley (What About Bob, RD), within me is whining “I need, I need...”! May God save me from myself. 🥰☺️

All i get is lipstick like iris, like a makeup pan, and pink pepper spicy in the dry down. No complexity, no sweetness no florals. Disliked alot.

I bought this and it's not for me. I'm not a fruitchouli person. I have a 1.7oz for sale on my Mercari for a good price

I can only smell blaxkberry and iris. A bit like a shampoonor an alcoholic cocktail

This is Fame Couture but more grown up version. I liked both of them
