Scandal Le Parfum

I'd like to think my palette is usually a tad bit more refined to be falling for "just another Gourmand" in the vast, never ending flood of Gourmands of this era.. but here I am. Sheesh! Ok I'll admit it... this one Scandal, is a BaBe! First time sampling this I had to break my sample's glass oh so cautiously just to get that lesser than 0/005 ml juice thingy that's left there that the atomizer had failed to suck out.. 'cause this is as cozy and addictive as it gets. A sticky, damp(ish), heavily condensed semi-salted caramel that's been enriched with the politest, sleekest and friendliest Jasmine essence it is out there. The Hypnotic Poison comparisons I don't necessarily follow. I mean sure! some how "Reminiscent" ..yes. but playdoh & all the rest? eh. You see.. wearing HP creates an aura of deep burgundy/maroon hues that feels like wrapping a dense, vintage mohair shawl around your neck, where its microscopic lint and fuzz linger like pieces of matte sparkle dust in the air! (: make it make sense ;) Her approach to sensuality is more mature. she's altogether more reserved.. speaks with a deeper voice and is also more articulate. Scandal Le Parfum? is a sleek satin mini scarf with a glistening fiery red tone. Conducts herself more outgoing, is impish and more vivacious even if some of it is part of a facade of seeming authentically coy... when she knows she's truly a bit more eccentric than that. HP feels like the velvet smooth finish left from a deep moisturizing ointment on skin... Scandal LP is the sticky, sparkling lip lacquer. Introverted and extroverted is she, respectively. This one knows how to hook the flirtatious baits... and is willing to provide the "sweet" emotional support as well. (something her older sister miss OG Scandal has probably never been familiar with) Nice!

this is 100% without a doubt my favorite scandal flanker ever! when sprayed on a test card it's much more vanilla caramel but on my skin i definitely get a fresh kick from the jasmine in the opening and then a really lovely gooey realistic (but still subtly sweet!!) vanilla mixed in with a very slight and cozy caramel. the caramel notes aren't really that sweet? at least not in the sugary sense. it's realistic and slightly buttery. i def get some jasmine however after 5ish minutes it's gone and doesn't come back. the saltiness isn't really there but it doesn't make the fragrance disappointing at all! i do get a slight medicinal scent for a small bit after it's dried down but it's not sickening or headache inducing.. it actually makes this parfum so much more prettier! this is my favourite jpg scent, it's addictive and sultry but also not too serious either? it's a perfect signature scent and i can't wait until i can buy a full bottle edit: after a few hours it dies down into this beautiful chocolate-y scent. the vanilla and caramel are still there, but much less prominent. the perfume seems to shift from a playful white chocolate to a nice and cozy milk chocolate. it's really comfy but still feminine and cute!!

It doesn’t smell like the actual year but it reminds me of a special time in my life lets go to fall of 2010 when I met my husband for the first time ever and when I fell in love with him. At first when you spray this it smells just like a fancy car freshener in a way that I love (smells JUST like how his car smelled I remember distinctively saying “I love your car freshener” when he picked me up for our first ever date ) I laugh now because he gifted me one for my car. I know sounds funny but this scent just brought me back to those days .. from here it switches as the dry down comes then it smells like the hypnotic poison EDT flanker we never got (but needed) . The vanilla in the base is too good . I am a vanilla obsessed person and this feels pretty balsamic and enveloping. I got heads turning when I wore this and a couple compliments from my 2 daughters (lucky if I ever get one from them) the smile on their face when I told them this is how daddy’s car smelled when he picked me up on our first date. Love love love this one I’m glad I found it for a really nice price . ❤️ I layer some of the scandal intense lotion with this and it smells really tropical now.

THIS is the one for me. It's a simple but gorgeous fragrance that just blows me away. A perfume being simple doesn't mean it's bad, it's actually otherwise, quite mass appealing. Me, I enjoy me a simple good smelling perfume. I have original scandal, and it's kind of mid for me. It's just an EXTREMELY sweet nauseating fragrance, (truly a scandal, lol) I only like it's dry down or when it's away from my nose. Still not a huge fan, but still wearing it because it's the only perfume I got at this point. THIS le parfum version on the other hand is just another experience. If you like sweet floral that isn't nauseating, this might be for you. I absolutely adore it. Also if you want to get hypnotic poison, don't get it. Get this instead. It's not boring as HP, HP smells like a boring play-doh for me. Doesn't blow me away at all. Still, the choice and the nose is yours, you smell it and decide which one to buy, I'm just recommending here.

I don't consider this strong at all. Does not seem to last very long compared to the others in this line . but a very pleasant scent . I think it's beautiful. I just wish it was a bit stronger. Does remind me of hypnotic poison a bit. But the hypnotic poison last a very long time. I would rate this a light scent. I don't even think it qualifies for moderate. Pretty much gone on the second hour or less. Update: I am starting to love this more and more, but find it to be an extremely light version of Eli Saab shine. I swear, I smell a nutty/pistachio note. I can definitely smell the caramel and salt now. as it set for a week. Still very similar to hypnotic poison but I just smell a nutty note maybe that's the caramel and salt together? I am happy with my purchase As far as the longativity, I can't really say yet as I've not given it a complete full wear, but just on my hand, it has stayed for a couple of hours now.

Sultry, ultra-feminine, Y2K core floral gourmand. This fragrance smells like the tragic female lead in a high school romance drama movie from 2004. She will steal your boyfriend and eat his heart out. Girls want to be her. Guys want to be with her. She's charming, intoxicating, and tantalizing. She wears red nail polish, gold hoops, and pink velour tracksuits with "juicy" inscripted on her perfectly rounded derriere. Her lips are eternally glossy and plump but never sticky, and are always stained with the perfect shade of rouge. This is sweet, sexy, utterly magnetic — I swear, this has to be what the hot chicks wear. Yummy. I love it almost as much as her Givenchy Tuberose Bomb ❤️ — sexy, polished, irresistible. On my wife, it lasts, lingering long enough to get every penny’s worth. I found it hunting for something like Prada Candy, so she’d have a new intimate scent I could actually smell. As a frag-addicted partner, guessing what she’s wearing is half the fun — and this one? Perfect. Strong enough to notice, subtle enough to intrigue. The bottle? Badass. Cool beside her high-heel shoe bottles. Some call it loud, obnoxious — I call it classy, lady-like, and mature. She says it smells “ok” — I say, it’s perfection. Le Parfum stands out as my favorite from JPG, and maybe, just maybe, Absolu will join the rotation. Scandal is my ultimate JPG love — for her, for me, for anyone who loves a sweet, sexy signature. 😍

Beautiful, simple, sexy jasmine and sweet vanilla, a little salt spray like you haven't properly washed your hair from the beach just yet, only rinsed it out. Nothing terribly complex for people who are new to perfumery, and unlike many vanilla scents it doesn't immediately turn into vomit when you get a bit sweaty. Still, better for cooler weather and clean skin. I don't buy perfumes to be complimented, but for those who do, I will note to you that this is one of my most complimented perfumes by older men and younger women, but young men and older women seem indifferent to it. But perhaps I only attract older men and younger women. Be careful not to overspray, it can get cloying easily. I don't find an issue with longevity (indeed, most comments I've had on it have been well past the 4hr point) maybe there is something in it that sends people noseblind quickly.

I was a bit disappointed when I first sprayed it straight out of the bottle. My bottle has now sit a couple of weeks, and that was enough to transform it. This is a note structure that’s elegant in its simplicity. It hits you as a mix of jasmine + vanilla + slightly salted caramel. The jasmine and vanilla are a good foil to the caramel and keep it from going full on gourmand, and so I feel like this could be worn at formal occasions too. Though truth be told, it has an addictive aroma, and that may be distracting for colleagues. This is what I wanted PC molten caramel to be. The note structure is what it says. Nothing unexpected or difficult to like. Decent longetivity and sillage, this is a strong one. Perfect for fall and winter, but it could work in AC environments in the tropics too. Can’t wait for next winter to really start wearing it!

Salty Jasmine with a caramel undertone. It doesn’t last that long which is my only gripe. It’s a floral - gourmand and the salt aspect makes it non sickly (to me) however it is incredibly sweet. Almost grape like in warm weather. She’s a beauty in cold temperatures but a bit much for sunny days. I love jasmine in anything, if you don’t like jasmine steer clear of her as Jasmine is the star of the show here. I love a salty note in perfume, once this dries down for a while you really do get the salt. Similar to Olympea in a way, a burst of sweet/ fresh opening then an hour or so later the salt comes out to play. It’s hard to explain but to me it’s such a simple fragrance on paper but feels very complex and well rounded and thought out. I love a gourmand, I love an amber floral, I love an oriental floral and somehow this is all 3.

i love love love this scent..........i literally couldnt stop spraying it lol..........its what i call a yummy scent - like an expensive dessert..........its creamy & smooth & the salt gives it a little edge - its a dessert topped with luscious jasmine..........its divine :) i picture a confident woman - the one every one looks at when she enters a room - dressed in a red silk body clinging long evening dress - long v-front & backless to the very end - and when she walks by she leaves a trail so delicious one cant help but be mesmerized...............yep i love this scent :) scandalous mysterious alluring !! and the bottle is to die for............bright red - crazy cute legs in the air - conversation piece for sure :) longevity very good or at least on me & projection not bad - u can def smell it :)

I got a bottle of this last week, I see people saying its discontinued... might be worth googling it if you're looking for a bottle in the UK. This scent is really beautiful, it immediately reminded me of a scent ive been looking for but must have been discontinued in the warly 2000's, it was a perfume by Kangol, and im almost certain this is as close as ill get to it! Really enjoy this line, i was worried the caramel would be overpowering but no, just a really beautiful scent. This seems to last a while on my skin, and lasts for days on clothes. Perhaps a bit much for work, but definitely date night approved, I think this would be a bit cloying in the summer so definitely a cold or autumnal scent in my opinion.

My ultimate 3 loves in the fragrance world are alien, which I wore religiously for 10 years without even attempting anything else, hypnotic poison & Olympea. Perhaps pure XS as well if I can add a fourth to the list. (Basic B to some I know) This ^^ empbodies something I get from every single one of those and somehow feels like all my favourite fragrances combined. It’s not as heavy as I thought it would be, sadly as for me I like it when people can smell me before they see me. It must be the salt but there is something remotely aquatic about this. Jasmine is very present & it’s a lot more floral than I thought it would be. I’m in love. Can’t speak much for longevity as I’ve had it on for an hour so far.

I just bought a backup bottle because of how much I’ve been indulging in this addictive scent. 🤍🍦🤤 Velvety smooth creamy vanilla that’s super flirty & feminine. The salt gives it the slightest kick, if anything it just amplifies the Caramel even more & gives it a fudge like feeling balanced with a beautiful creamy Jasmine 🤍 There are definitely more notes than listed, I’m also smelling ALMOND. Perfect example of a fragrance that isn’t at all complex but has the most addictive quality about it. I can’t get enough! Similar scent profile to a lot of fragrances I LOVE ❤️ Including Hypnotic poison, Killians’ Love & Juliet has a gun ‘mmm,’ That milky, smooth sweet feminine almost marshmallow play-doh vibe.

It's a very light, feathery scent! With a seductive, almost alluring tone, it feels like the faintest dark red lipstick mark on someone's cheek. It's sweet, and I do attract more bugs when I wear it lol so definitely not the best for the summer. It's a very cozy scent as well, so again, not spring/summer fit imo. I have 50ml and the bottle cap tends to remove itself when I throw it in a bag with other things in it, but it never sprayed by itself so it's at most a very light annoyance you get used to. It's *super* long-lasting, it sticks on clothes like crazy. My friend hugged me right after I put it on, and smelled like the perfume days afterwards. Deff a recommend!

A blind buy. I asked AI what scandal flanker (chose Scandal because of the bottle) should I add in my collection based on what I currently have and picked this. No regrets. My body chemistry seems to agree with jasmine as most of my fragrances have it. Initial spray and it's all jasmine, reminiscent of Alien by Mugler and Rapture by Victoria's Secret. After an hour, the white florals fade and aIl I get is creamy, milky caramel. YUM! A type of caramel that melts smoothly without leaving a sticky residue. I can't detect the salt at all nor the play-doh scent. Disappointed with the longevity and sillage. I want this type of dry down to be loud.

When the sales associate first sprayed this i was like "yeah this is the one". Its the most delicious floral salted caramel scent. Maybe not the most complex scent but i would say its good for its price. I just love this fragrance great winter scent but i would wear this in summer nights/ date nights. And the Jasmine and vanilla blends really well with the salted caramel note. So it becomes more a blended salted caramel note rather than a realistic one. Smells a little syntetic but i dont mind because its not the first thing that you smell you have to kind of look for it and its there. İt will be on my collection for a long time. 8/10

Update: It has been sitting on the shelf for a while and it has changed. The beautiful florals are very short lived now, (which is sad to me because they reminded me of Dior Addict) ... there is a distinct cherry/cherry blossom note in here. It is creamy caramel and I keep getting soft whiffs of that beeswaxy sweet honey that is in the original Scandal... But it is very subdued. It is a true gourmand now, I would definitely bathe in it as I love to overspray, but there is a note there that hurts/burns my throat whenever I overspray, it is almost metallic, really screechy.... Might be the sea salt? I don't know. But this is gorgeous.

Rating: 😋 Do I like it: Meh Who it is: a cook that got some salted caramel on their hand after they applied white floral perfume for a date last night Smells I get: salted caramel, camphor accord Meyer's Briggs type: ISFP, ISTP On one hand, I really like this perfume and I think they did salted caramel justice. I want to lick my hand. The caramel-salt cloud projects deliciously within arms length and is quite enjoyable well into 8h of wear. On the other hand, the jasmine note here is - though barely noticeable - a bit too camphor-y for my taste, and that's why it doesn't make A grade.

So, after all this time, I've finally found "the one". Scandal has Hypnotic Poison's DNA, but with a floral/caramel twist. It doesn't remind me of the original Scandal, which is actually a plus for me. Sillage and overall performance exceeded my expectations (after reading some comments here I was a little scared). And as for compliments, yesterday a lady chased me half a block to ask me what I was wearing lol The only problem is, being it a flanker, it's likely to be discontinued in the not-so-distant future. I wonder if layering HP with Alien would give me something similar.

i tried this at sephora yesterday. i dont like OG scandal. to me that one is too sugary sweet. but this one is really good. i didnot read the reviews before testing it. and after i tested i thought it is similar to hypnotic poison even tho there is no nutty/almondy notes in it (at least not listed). and now i see i m not the only one who thinks the similarity with hypnotic poison. i cannot say it is a caramel perfume. strangely, to me, it is kind of milky. however i didn't taste it on my skin, maybe it turns to a caramel scent on the skin, but on the paper its milky.

Aspects of Scandal Le Parfum remind me of Hypnotic Poison, Addict, and Alien Goddess, but it's not exactly like any of those: a little less almondy than HP, a bit softer and less frankly sensual than Addict, and not as cloying-indolic as AG. I'm sure I will use up my 1.5-mL vial, but I don't see myself buying a full bottle unless I get an incredible deal, and even then maybe not--not because it's not great, but just because I have several very similar options that barely even have a dent in them, which suggests to me that I am buying altogether too much perfume.

This is delish! On my skin, it doesn't smell anything like Hypnotic Poison (which I own), but it does remind me of Donna Born in Roma and Alien Goddess Intense thought, probably because my skin loves and amplifies the Jasmin, making it creamier, denser and the "main player" (along with the vanilla). I just received it this morning, sprayed on my super-dry un-moisturized skin about an hour ago and it's creamy, vanilla, caramelly, JAZMIN! Absolutely scrumptious! I can easily wear it Spring, Summer and Autumn evenings. Overall a great blind buy!!!

I think this is going to become my signature scent. I am in love. Most probably the thing I love the most is that I can actually smell it on me without necessarily getting close to where I sprayed it. I'm just breathing and the most beautiful, sweetest, feminine and sexy smell fills my nostrils. I had tried the OG Scandal and I couldn't tolerate its honey note, it was so strong on my skin it suffocated me. I must say that I'm partially concerned by its longevity, I'll make sure to update my review whenever I get the chance to try it again

I love this fragrance- simple, mass pleasing but still very good. Not that long lasting, maybe 4-5 hours, but it’s sweet and sexy in a quiet way. Some people say it’s good for special occasions and date nights, in my opinion it’s a great everyday autumn/ winter scent. At first i thought it smelled like cherries, after looking at the notes i would say to me it still smells like that, i just can’t recognise any caramel or jasmine. Fresh, sweet vanilla-is cherries. Still amazing, finishing my first bottle I would definitely by another one.

Warm, luxurious salted caramel and vanilla play-doh. I know that doesn’t sound appealing but somehow it works! Definitely a bit similar to Hypnotic Poison; however, not exactly the same as I did NOT enjoy Hypnotic Poison but I surprisingly LOVE Scandal Le Parfum. This is definitely a sexy scent, but still has a coziness to it that I think works for daytime in cold fall/winter months. It smells lovely on skin but as I move around I get whiffs of the most gorgeous sillage coming off me. It really sings in the cold air!

At first it smelled a bit too strong, and I was hesitant if I will actually wear it. Then on the second try I was stunned by how sexy and pleasant the scent it, so I kept using it. I'd say it's better to wear it during autumn and winter, as it could be too much during summer. The longevity is also impressive, and I got a lot of compliments. If you like pleasant vanilla, sweet scents, but not like the cheap versions, this is a safe blind buy. This is that one vanilla scent you've been searching for but couldn't find.

I swear. This is what hot, dark haired, nasty deviant people wear. It’s got a little shred of innocence with vanilla and caramel, but the jasmine quickly cuts through and becomes dirty, sticky, downright naughty. After it dries, at least on my skin, for around 8 hours, you’re left with the most intoxicating smell that leaves all genders drooling. A very simple, non-complex note fragrance that doesn’t care where you’re from, who you are, or what you’ve done. Absolute dominatrix of a scent, and I’m in love with her.

This just knocks it out of the park and knocks all it’s scandal predecessors dead! 😍😍😍 I didn’t detect any Jasmine, which to me is a blessing 😂 it’s mostly a delicious blend of caramel and vanilla 😍 I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist 😍😍😍 Tested this at the same time I tested Black Opium La Parfum and I found that the two share a great deal of similarities but BO is like the louder, more confident and more dominating cousin while scandal LP is the subtle, comforting, caring one.. if that makes any sense 🤷♀️

I only like this because it smells exactly like scented babywipes, it has a mild synthetic or "playdough" vibe which i adore, as a babypowder gal this is a powdery pleasure with a synthetic/plastic twist. definitely less babypowder and more scented WIPES, there is a difference! It is a tiny bit salty but not noticeable, and the caramel nuances are very pleasant. I use it at home and for bedtime but honestly I wouldnt mind wearing it outside one day...theres something about it!! Comforting and pleasant af

Love this it’s so unique I can’t really describe it. I adore Hypnotic poison which this has some similarities to. It’s Very addictive sweet, smooth and sexy and it lasts very well on skin.i get the salt and the jasmine and that addictive vanilla / playdough note that i love. The bottle is amazing and looks really striking on display. Ive got a back up bottle for this I just wish they did refills as the bottle is so amazing, it’s too good to just throw away! Love love love it ❤️❤️

I got it for my bday a few months ago. My first impression --- a very sweet vanilla sugar bomb, giving me a "Victoria Secret" vibe with a hint of Jasmine. I would say this reminds me of "Prada Candy", less Caramel with more Jasmine. Regarding the silage, just like every Jean Paul Gaultier Perfume, its strong and lasts for 3 to 4 hours so perfect for a date. However the composition could be more innovative and i do wish they come with a bigger size. Do I love it ? Absolutely.

I've had this for a couple of months and now I know - this is going to take its spot as my favourite fragrance of all time. intoxicating, mouthwatering, classy, sexy, flirty... just perfect. at first I just liked this a lot, but cooler weather has started to make this justice. can't stop sniffing myself when I'm wearing this. with this fragrance, I'm a queen, Nobel prize winner, Hollywood superstar, high-class escort, billionaire heiress, CEO. no one can tell me jack.

Initially it smelled so much like purple Alien by Mugler on my skin, I couldn't believe it, just pure powerful jasmine. I thought that would be it but then after a while I started feeling the caramel and vanilla notes more and occasionally the salty, almost metallic vibes which are absolutely gorgeous. Very unique, high quality perfume with a good performance, moderate strength without being overwhelming, absolute love. I feel it goes well for every season.

This is so good! This does smell soft but it keeps on giving. It creates a nice soft sweet scent bubble that I keep catching wafts of. Since I bought this bottle it has intensified as it’s sat in my collection. It’s very addictive and edible smelling and does remind me a bit of Hypnotic Poison but with a more smoky vanilla base and more freshness. It has a beautiful eye catching bottle, the shade of red is amazing with the gold metal.

WOW! This is everything I wanted YSL Black Opium Le Parfum to be! This is the perfect creamy sweet intense vanilla with amazing longevity. It doesn't turn funky, dusty or weird on my skin. It performs well, it smells great. As a gourmand lover this is the best designer vanilla fragrance for me! Luckily the salt note is barely there - I usually hate salt in perfume. This is just so well done. It is on top of my wish list!

I have to say I’m obsessed and have worn it every day since I purchased a 30ml bottle. I do understand the hypnotic poison references with this. For me that’s a good thing as it’s also another OG favorite of mine. It’s interesting that given how simple the notes are in this how similar it smells to HP as that’s so complex. Lasts really well on clothing, can still smells it the next day or longer.

compared to the og scandal it is way less honey, and more gourmand caramel-ish sweet vanilla, and I love how it smells. However once again comparing it to the og scandal, this one feels like it has Zero projection. I always get compliments, when wearing it, but with this one I have to put my nose on my wrists to even get a whiff of it

My go to perfumes tend to lean towards floral notes and sweet scent tends to be a bit for teenagers or little girls to me. However, there’s something simple and yet addictive about this scent that just kept me coming back for more. Straightforward and direct, it reminds you of how simplicity can turn out to be appealing.

I love this. I don't think it's like Hypnotic Poison, in this I get sweet, not at all indolic jasmine, the caramel is prominent, and the salt is just barely there enough to give it interest. Everything combined together smells both sultry and bubblegum-ey to me. It does remind me of Alien Essence Absolue but sweeter

One of the best things I’ve ever smelt! Being a huge gourmand fan meant this appealed to me so much. It’s been on my wish list for a while. I sprayed it in the air and on paper. Sweet, sexy, feminine and bright. I really enjoyed the caramel and vanilla and the jasmine balanced them perfectly. Such a gorgeous scent!

Sexy caramel enveloped in a spicy warm vanilla. I hate hypnotic poison but love this. I see they share some similarities but scandal is far superior. It’s something men tend to compliment. I adore this fragrance wouldn’t know in my life that I would own this tacky bottle. but the smell, oh my goodnes!! So good, so yummy. Warm vanilla caramel play dough with a touch of my all-time favourite perfume HP. The only downside is this doesn’t last on me, and I want to smell like this 24/7 and forever.

I'm not a big fan of jasmine, but this got me hooked. A warm, addictive caramel-vanilla scent with an unique twist. Lasted about 5-6 hours on my skin. Really need to get a full size bottle. I feel like I can wear it in every occasion and season, although it may be too heavy for the hottest summer days.

I smelt it today just because I was curious and I had to go back to buy it during the day because I couldn't stop sniffing my arm where I sprayed it. I'm already a big fan of hypnotic poison and this one is sweeter, which I really don't mind. JPG never deceived me so far, i'm really impressed !

The white florals in this one remind me of the white florals in Dior Addict. I don't see the resemblance to Hipnotic Poison, no coconut nor apricot here... I guess people associate every heavy vanilla to HP. It smells luxurious and sexy, HP is not sexy in my opinion... this one is.

This is sexy, airy and this gives off true VS models vibe. It's not giving you headhaches its not overpowering but it fills up the room. Its a perfect balance between airy, gourmand and floral. Most of the people would love this for sure. I also think its very pretty for dates.
