Amore Mio Garden of Delight

It started as beautiful saffron with sweet citrus (sweet like clementine/mandarin, not screechy like lemon) and hint of jasmine, after 30mins all I can smell is burnt sugar, still some citrusy sweetness with bit of saltiness from ambergris. Very beautiful fragrance especially for it ́s price, definitely can see myself wearing it in hot summer nights. Edit: Second time testing this and 20mins in I can clearly smell fir, don't know where it comes from but in Baccarat which was inspiration for this one is fir resin.

I'll start off by saying I don't love Cloud. I do like its sweet lavender, and that clean, medicinal note in the drydown, but the opening is just not for me. Too fruity (synthetic), with no resemblance to coconut at all to my nose, more like canned lychees and pineapple, just like Thank You Next, but way less of that accord. So I gave up on Cloud as an option for me, but kept it in mind as a reference. Then I found this dark blue flanker of Amore Mio selling online for less than 6€ for a 100mL bottle. The vast majority of my blindbuys are successful, but I confess I wasn't very confident I would like this. I went ahead and bought it anyway, for I have a few people close to me with very different preferences in perfumes, so it's easy, even when it comes to cheapies, to give them away if I can't grow to like them. Despite the accord pyramid of this perfume and its notes, which do not suggest a sweet perfume at all, and do differ a lot from Cloud, they actually smell incredibly similar. Part of this DNA screams "Cloud" to me, but they do have core differences, and that's where this perfume wins, by far, against its celebrity counterpart. Overall this is a more mature scent. Smells like chemicals present in topical anesthetics at the dentist, with a spicy, aromatic twist. Sweetness comes later as it dries down - very creamy and alluring, syrupy, slightly oriental - maintaining its medicinal vibe for a couple of hours. It seems that the ambergris (which is synthetic, obviously, as natural ambergris is illegal) helps this last and project. For a reference, I sprayed a napkin and put it on my desk for 2 days. I could still smell it as I crossed the room by the end of the second day. I then trashed the paper and proceeded to wear it myself. I get whiffs of it as I wear it, but got used to it rather quickly. Those around me definitely detect it. I'm loving it so much, and I absolutely recommend it if you like the 'darker' side of Cloud as I do.

Tout d'abord j'adore le flacon jardin d'Eden en forme de pomme avec le bouchon serpent de cette gamme Amore mio, et les couleurs bleu et doré, tant du flacon que de la boîte, sont très jolies. Pour moi c'est un joli petit parfum chypré, fraîcheur et amertume agréables des agrumes au début, un peu poudré, plus sec par la suite, original. Pas de sillage et tenue légère, mais vu le prix très modique, on peut pschitter généreusement. En revanche le texte de la boîte parle d'oriental et de gourmandise, là je ne vois pas trop. Très satisfaite de mon achat, un parfum contemplatif et pour soi, quand on a besoin de bien-être. Toujours des trouvailles à faire dans cette marque. I love the bottle garden of Eden with the apple and the snake, blue and gold very cute. For me it's a lovely chypre perfume, agrums at first are fresh and bitter, then powder, mossy. It doesn't stay on my skin, but it's very unexpensive. On the box they say it's oriental and sweet, I don't agree. Very happy for buying it, a perfume for myself only, when i need well being. Those who apart from originality admire BCR540 for enormous projection and longevity (which are often the elements of an expensive fragrance), are likely to be disappointed with this dupe. I do like it however precisely for being a homeopathic version of BCR. (Also by no means its seems sweeter to me like some have mentioned.) While BCR is still a groundbreaking masterpiece and I do enjoy it occasionally I’m not always up to smelling it from my clothes and bedsheets for days after wearing it. My husband is also one of those who feels it as a medicinal iodine smell and therefore not a fan. So this is when AMGoD comes in for me. To my nose it’s very much like a body spray of BCR would be, allowing me to enjoy the scent for about 3-4 hours from my skin and then move on to something different. Also apart from the snake I do find the bottle quite pretty.)

Smells a lot like cloud, perhaps slighly less sweet. But still - a very sweet scent in my opinion. Everytime I smell this on my hand I see cloud in front of me, thats how similar they are. Either way, its a very pretty scent and its yours for almost no money at all. Longevity might differ from cloud, but haven’t worn it a full day yet so not sure. Also, haven’t smelled BCR so don’t know how good of a dupe this is, if it is similar though, I reckon BCR smells like cloud (as many says)..

Jeanne Arthes's Amore Mio Garden of Delight is yet another cheap dupe for the famous luxury perfume Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The bottle is pretty and sturdy, and the price point very good. This is the closest cheapest dupe you will ever find of Baccarat rouge, it literally smells almost identical. But, it does not last AT ALL, this is more airy than BR and when you spray it it's gone. It lasts around 10 seconds like another reviewer said.

Good dupe. I like it more than the original, because it is sweeter and it does not have that strong medical undertone. It is mossy, woody, sweet scent. If you are looking for something different like citruses, flowers, you can try this one.

Really like the scent from the bottle, or when it's sprayed in the air but on my skin i get to much saffron and it doesn't stay long so it's now a room spray.

It smells like caramelized sugar, which is slightly burnt. The dry down is similar to the sweeter and more sugary version of BCR540.

To me smell like cotton candy ❤️.longevity for that price is 👍 good

I do not understand why the bottle looks like an apple cut in half and there is a creepy snake around the nozzle. I don’t have many experience with mossy and ambergris fragrances so I do not know when is the best time to wear this perfume. It smells a little soapy to my nose, and I can pick up the lavender and jasmine combo. I just need more time to really appreciate this perfume. It’s projection is not that strong eventho this is an EDP.

This is something between "Bois d'Iris" and "Cloud" or at least to my nose. It has a sour/woody/ambergris note from BD and a sweet cotton candy note from Cloud. Very soft and weak to me, but if you can't afford the Cloud you could try this one. I can't comment comparison to BR 540, because i don't know it.

It is exactly how a hospital smells like.

After a year in my closet, I tried it on a hot July day, and Yes it's like a MFK BR540 for summer: light, airy, refined, élégant, and you can use Amore Mio Garden of Delight as a body spray because it doesn't last very long on skin. The good thing is you won't be choking anyone like with other dupes (Club de Nuit Untold for example)...Spray it generously on your clothes if you want it to last a bit more, or take a decant for refreshing the scent.

This is a hidden gem, for the price this is good, it’s even cheaper than celebrity fragrances, I don’t have mfk but I have cloud by Ariana and it’s very similar, this doesn’t drydown powdery like cloud it stays like the opening. I’ve read people say that the similarity between MFK and Cloud is in the opening so I guess that’s why people voted that this is more similar to MFK than cloud. Get this before it’s hyped and over priced.

My purchase arrived today and what a disappointment. Only smell of alcohol with a VERY faint sweet smell like in Cloud drydown. When the liquid dried on skin, no smell whatsoever. NOTHING! Probably received a bad batch. Will complaint to the store.
