Boum Vanille Sa Pomme d'Amour

This perfume is simply lovely. I now own an original Boum, Boum Cherry Blossom, and Boum Candy Land, but none of them is as distinct an impressive as Boum Vanille. The visualization is spot-on. It does smell of a juicy red apple with sweet vanilla and caramel. Yes, it is linear and doesn’t develop beyond this delicious trio, but does it have to when it’s so enjoyable? The more I use it, the more I fall in love with it. It is so inoffensive and mild, but still very much perceivable by others. (I get “You smell nice!” from colleagues and friends all the time!) It puts me in joyous and festive mood, as a Disney cartoon. This autumn we went apple picking in a public garden and I wore Boum Vanille for this occasion. Perfect memory created successfully. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate setting for this scent, except for... Remember that fairy-tale ad for Nina Ricci’s Nina back in the noughties where a girl in a rose-tulle dress climbs a huge pile of red apples in a white palace room? What teenage me imagined back then was closer to Boum Vanille than to Nina Ricci’s creation. Pure, princess-like, enchanting, red apples and white vanilla ice-cream. I see many comments here saying it smells very artificial, but I cannot agree. Maybe my nose isn’t very discerning, but this is the most convincing and mouth-watering red apple I smelled apart from real apples (house fragrances, edible sweets, and perfume included). By the way, despite being so soft and unobtrusive, Boum Vanille lasts forever on my hair and clothes – even after washing! A sweet memory of a magical story. P.S. First sprays from the bottle are more flat and empty. It grows in value after around third time you wear it. This is the issue I’ve faced with every Jeanne Arthes perfume. You have to spritz away a good 10 to 15 sprays until the scent finally grows fully into itself beyond one or two very basic notes.

Research says that men love vanilla and generally food-type scents, and this is a happy mix of vanilla, and a tiny bit of orange and soft cotton candy, with a classy musk of confidence-building tobacco that's soft enough to remain perfectly feminine. This perfume is very young, but, it's later softening to a musk that is so soft and alluring it makes itself accessible and wearable for any age. It is for the girl inside the woman, even more than a girl, because of the lingering, very soft musk. The apple you smell first, but the smokey tobacco and candy floss are tied together and become the main feature after the first 5 to 10 minutes of wear. On me, it has a soft sillage, which is perfect for an inexpensive perfume, and gorgeous to wear day-to-day. It lasts surprisingly long for me (6 hours at least), but remains close to the skin and constant there. I am afraid I like this too much. Don't get me wrong: this isn't just mainly about the candy, there is also a slight citrus that balances everything along with the musk. There are a lot of very popular, designer fragrances that are very much candy-inspired, and this is much prettier, I think, a lot more appropriate to wear for a more mature woman. Please don't let the low price fool you; try it from the tester and give it 10 minutes, and you will love it if you love sweet fruit and musk joined with a touch of vanilla. This "Vanille" is the "Boum"!

I purchased this one in a drugstore years ago. I had no idea about the notes or what it was supposed to smell like. I just saw the cute circus box and "Vanille" (obviously I didn't pay much attention in my French class since it says vanilla and apple. Haha) and thought it would be up my alley. It totally was! Make no mistake, this fragrance does not pretend to be a $300 perfume, however, it performs better than a usual cheapie. Upon first spray you get delicious apple followed by praline. To me, it reads more candy apple than caramel apple. On the dry down, you get a super sweet vanilla. I am a fan of sweet gourmands and this one is so good! This does smell synthetic, but in the best way possible. A sugary, candied vanilla apple. I do not pick up on the orange note at all. This lasts decently on me, about 7-8 hours. The sillage is definitely close to the skin. I agree with the reviewer that said this is a great "to bed" scent. You can enjoy the candy apple and fall asleep to the sweet vanilla and it will be gone in the morning. You can just add your day scent without having to worry about accidental layering. Great value for the price!

Ahh I always wanted to smell like a lipgloss lol. This really reminds me of Tickled Pink, stronger on the vanilla so better than Tickled Pink but it does make me more nauseous. In chilly weather tho its really nice and gives me a happy feeling. I smell some apple indeed and it could be a Bath& Body works scent without the candle/vanilla dna. Casual and fun, not a regret. The drydown is worth waiting for, I absolutely love it. On me it lasts 3 hrs - silage is excellent tho. Update: I still have this perfume and it hasnt gone bad in the bottle. Really wish they still sold these, it smells alittle synthetic but I love it in cold weather, and I do smell the orange (I had thought its mandarin just by smelling my arm) and the apple, as if theyre boiled in sugar with vanilla and then whipped cream and praline on top, no joke I used to make candied apples in the oven, topped with whipped cream and if I added some candied orange pieces Id have this scent here.

So sweet and yummy. It's a fruit candy gourmand. Smells like candied apple almost. It's also quite powdery. The orange might be a top note but it is quite soft, allowing the other notes to shine through, and I can barely smell it on dry-down. This definitely shares a small amount of DNA with Golden Sand by Al Rehab (and different dupes like Casablanca, Cheirosa 40 etc), in a sense that it has a bit of the same fruity and powdery vanilla notes as that does. But of course, this is very different. I would 100% drench myself in this, but I'd definitely have to layer it for added strength, because this doesn't perform well just yet. Usually, vanilla forward fragrances get much stronger overtime, so fingers crossed! The performance is whatever for the price. Hopefully it macerates overtime and becomes stronger, like the review below me implies. This is definitely a skin scent for now, at least.

This is sooo yummy! It really does smell like candied apples, smells just like pomme d'amour I got in disney land paris! I was there for only a day and a half but ate 3...I could not stop... I can get strong whiffs of vanilla, apple, and hint of orange for about 30 minutes. Later as the vanilla and apple is sort of chilling out I get the praline. It smells similar to the praline in juicy couture viva la juicy and nina ricci nina. Although I am not saying they smell alike they are very different, just a similar kind of praline note. I like the sugary apple and vanilla smell the very best! Wish it wasn't so fleeting. I get about 2-3 hours of sheer joy till I'm itching to reapply. Thankfully this is a cheapo, so if you don't mind reapplying often this one is a gem!

Can you imagine if this scent was made with expensive ingredients and made a great gourmand..this would be up there with Lost Cherry Tom Ford..this scent is very flattering..it's just straight candy apple...the best i've ever smelled and if it had great lasting power would be one of my tops its just such a good happy fun scent..you have to love very sweet gourmand fragrances to love this..but i do and because i do i just will respray the heck out of this..it's one of those cheapies that puts a smile on my face..no harm in that..i love it..plus me and my daughter discovered this one together so it has a special place in my heart..and she treasures her bottles..so enjoying it together with my little one makes my heart happy..

Frankly, I didn't expect to fall in love with this scent, but here we are! It opens with a prominent syrupy sweet apple note,and it soon settles into a soft, close to the skin buttery vanilla chocolate mixture. It actually somewhat reminds me of a couple of cocoa butter lotions that I've used in the past. I expected something tarter and fruitier, and I got rich velvety cocoa instead. I am beyond pleased. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the sillage and longevity. This is a much more subtle scent than I anticipated, and it doesn't seem to stick around for long. I guess this was to be expected at such a low price. However, I consider this one of my most successful blind buys and I plan to wear and enjoy it quite a lot.

This is a great vanilla perfume, not sickening sweet, Is simple candy apple vanilla and very mild powdery projection. Can apply alone and also can layer this with other perfumes and can serve as a bed time perfume. Is very multiple use perfume. The lasting power are great too for the price I paid. You can categories as skin scent but better lasting than those musky skin scent. Lastly, the bottle is cute and presentable. The glass bottle is well quality control and sprayer function well, even some higher price perfume sprayer is bad than this. The red glass bottle is the type of red I loved. Judging by the price this perfume is well worth it. I am so happy with this purchase.

Love the funfair vibe, especially in Winter. Sa Pomme d'Amour also called Liebesapfel in Germany, a candy glazed red apple and this scent deserves the name, it's fruity sweet, but more sirupy sweet than fruity, very delightful with mildly sour apple undertones. I also notice hints of intoxicating cherry wine and that slightly alcoholic note is not something everyone likes, but I think it compliments the scent very well. In regards to longevity, it seems the nose gets used to this scent very fast, so that I almost don't smell it anymore after a few days of repeated application, but it's definitely there and stays for approx. 2-3 hours. Great value for the price.

I really love this perfume! Suitable for younger girls. This represent girly, cutie, and sweet teenager, as the scent itself. Really notice the apple and praline at the first spray, and it ends up with musky-yet-sweet scent. The vanilla actually comes in the end too, sweet just like cotton candy. It's longevity is kinda moderate, I still can sniff cotton candy in my arm after 6 hours but very soft like it's gonna fade. 4.5/5 for this perfume! Almost a perfect perfume for me but I just don't like it's unconvenient bottle's spray. It's easily cap off. And the bottle cap formed like a clip, very easy to separated.

Nothing truly smells as good as this. This is coming from someone who loves apple scents more than anything. Other apple vanilla perfumes are not nearly as sugary, girly, and innocent as Boum Vanille sa Pomme d'Amour. My La Danza smells almost salty in comparison, which is not to say I dislike that aspect, but sometimes you just need to smell like a candy apple milkshake. Praline gives it a creamy, lactonic dry down that unfortunately doesn't last very long. People feet away have come up to me to tell me that I smell so yummy so if you want better longetivity, it's best to use as a body mist.

This is a fragrance my whole family likes to wear regardless of sex. Smells like Vanilla, Caramel and Toffee Apples. Wears close to the skin but that's OK because although I like smelling Toffee Apples I would not like to be one. Dries down to a lovely Musky sweet Caramel but mostly Vanilla with some notes reminiscent of Prada Candy. Great for days when you just want to have fun. Jeanne Arthes makes some great budget worthy fragrances, I love the colour and shape of the bottle but the lid could be stronger. Tends to flip off and get lost if you are not careful.

Candied apple at it's best! It's very sweet and very addictive! Apparently on my skin the praline notes come to the surface really well, as more people tell me they smell chocolate when I wear this... Usually I'm not fond of apple as a note in perfumes, but in this it's done great! I agree with the ones that mention that somehow this smells like cherries. Imagine a bowl full of candied cherries, some of them dipped in vanilla and others dipped in chocolate... On my skin it has good projection and just as good longevity. Price/quality ratio is superb!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

I REEEEALLY like this! Super cheap but always puts me in a great mood, and it’s such a crowd pleaser. I love wearing it in the early days of spring. It’s very much a “good girl” perfume, youthful but not childish, good for occasions when you wanna show some personality without taking too many risks. The apple is so juicy and the vanilla isn’t too overwhelming, I don’t really smell the praline. Lovely powdery drydown, very feminine and cutesy. Doesn’t last a lot but it’s so cheap I have no issue reapplying it! Moderate projection.

this is candied apple at the fair deliciousness...almost smells like cherry and vanilla...right up my alley...love this so much..going through a red candy fruity scents with vanilla phase and just wanna swim in it forever..it starts out sweet but then it transforms and gets sweeter and more vanilla..i love the transformation in this..its moderate all around but the scent is too sweet and cheap not to love it..i love jeanne arthes perfumes..i got the last two they had for 9.99 each..so cheap for a fun scent

An affordable gourmand that smells of candy apples and chocolate, with occasional sweet-powdery notes resembling Big League Chew bubblegum. My only complaint is the spray nozzle. The bottle is designed to resemble a grenade ("Boum" translates to "bang"), and the perfume has a cheap clip instead of a cap (perhaps there is an added incentive of reduced manufacturing costs for this design choice). It is very easy to pull off the clip in a way that sends the spray nozzle flying off the bottle.

This perfume is SOOOO GOOD I LOVE. This smells like yummy orange slices and apples, cut into chunks with nutty chocolate drizzled over it kindly. Sometimes, this smells like a shiny apple with a chocolate bar against it, which i still like... The vanilla is cheap smelling, and gives off old attic.. but i think its lovely and cute with the apple smell somehow.. smelling this perfume makes me immediately happy, i try to not abuse this to save it augggh auuuuggh

This really reminds me of Cap Nature Vanille by Yves Rocher, which I used and loved in the 90s: maybe because of that this is my new favorite fragrance and it does last on me, very delicious, apple, vanilla and maybe a little bit cherry. The bottle and the box look also delicious and fun. I put this about 12 hours ago, on my clothes also, and I can smell it clearly.This lasts more on me than some more expensive perfumes. And the price: this is a bargain!

i spend half of bottle as bed time scent 3 years ago by overspraying my pjs because it was so weak.... then... i totally forgot about it... i rediscovered the bottle yesterday....the juice is quite dark...and the smell is sooo much better than i remember...so much stronger....its more vanillic and delicious! I love it! Jeanne Arthes have some real gems! You just have to invest...not your money because they are so inexpensive but your time!
