Cassandra Rose Rouge

I can indeed feel the impression of something similar to a rose in the opening, with freshness of pear and sweetness of heliotrope, but then it becomes spicier and warmer, not even floral, but quite pleasant. Like clean, warm skin. It reminds me of a soft scent that beauty products leave – primers, BB creams, powders, etc. Quite an interesting balance of fresh and spicy, which is very soft and warm, not in the slightest masculine or sharp. There is some fuzzy quality to this fragrance, like that soft glow in old movie close-ups and I find it fascinating. I don’t think it smells cheap – I would describe it as simple and a bit old-fashioned. Doesn’t have the oomph to make a statement and project, but creates an aura around you to set the mood. It’s comforting and elegant at the same time. I would compare wearing this fragrance to that feeling of safety and glamour you might have when you know that your face is very well made up and you don’t show your true skin, or when you wear a veil. It’s all softly blurred – not too much to hide you identity, but to mask it, hide imperfections, powder up the shine. Again, like all “Cassandras” so far, Rose Rouge is more “clean” than anything else. Clean, powdered, made up to look sheer, discreet. Cassandra Rose Rouge makes me think of my grandmother’s vintage powder cases, makes me want re-watch “Casablanca,” and go buy an elegant round-brimmed ladies hat. It’s not the perfect fit for me, but I like it. I don't think its generic - it has quiet character.

Glad to have found this more affordable version of Armani’s ‘Si Passione’. Smells exactly the same: Black currant-ish/fruity and floral. Wish it lasted just as much.

Very generic, sweet - and rose is nowhere to be found in this.. In fact, the only notes I get are the top notes, especially berries and pear, and a huge dose of vanilla, but not the best kind, more of a chemical one. It's cheap and it smells cheap but I wouldn't say it's unpleasant all in all. Reminds me of one of the perfumes in Zara, not sure which one though - there is a lingering chemical vibe about it. One who wants to wear this should spray generously, reapply and try in warm weather as longevity and sillage aren't great.

I actually blind bought this after reading a review on here that says it smells like The Key by Justin Bieber, which was one of my favourite scents before it was discontinued :( I'm impressed! Smells very similar so I'm a happy girl - doesn't seems to last anywhere near as long, but for the price is great. Very clean, fresh and feminine - this is about to become one of my work scents :)

Pear and berry jam, hit of vanilla and a bowl of delicate rose petals. This is what I wanted Lush’s Rose Jam to smell like! Very happy I took a chance on this one! This is a less shampooey dupe of si passione. I prefer this to the La Rive dupe but they’re both nice! Edit - no wonder I like this! It reminds me of The Key by Justin Bieber!
