why all the hate?! while i am not head over heels for no 5 i find casandra to be a classic retro ,vintage, powdery aldehyde t,hat is simply gorgeous on its own rights.. first of all it smells like a perfume!! not a jambalaya of rotten fruits or synthetic tar chemical biproduct of industrialization ! i don't have it next me me to review it ,but i had many bottles in the past ten years or so and they all did the job perfectly ..they were amazing in layering and they smelled like Houbigant ,Chanel no 5 and many of the chyprees and aldehyde powdery florals..i cant believe how the industry has changed and formed the younger generation in to thinking that the synthetic smoky accords are the it thing! and that old school or retro style is the bad thing ..its really sad to see this terrible change in forced tastes but i am sure its only a matter of time until people get fed up of smelling the same basic 3 synthetic accords and want to go back to the real artistry of perfumery! don't get me wrong i am extremely forward thinking and i am with more modern creations i all their different shapes and forms and olfactory stories ..change in tastes is an investable part of perfume history but lets have dignity and artistry to back it up not only finical gains from the cheapest most undignified synthetic accords . there is beauty everywhere and the world of perfumery is a mirror of that.. lets bring back real artistry in perfumery and teach the new generations how to appreciate and understand and enjoy that beauty to enhance their lives and surround it with uplifting extraordinary scents for the soul and mind !

Very much like combination of Chanel No 5 and Alyssa Ashley Musk. You could consider it feminine, but I don't really care what someone else considers. On my skin it's very clean (not like laundry but in a soapy way), soft and powdery with lots of ylang ylang and warm Egyptian musk. Super comforting and feels so much more luxurious than the price could tell. Longevity is decent in these days when nothing really lasts and it stays longer on clothes than on skin. But sadly the bottle is quite tacky. And the funny thing is that this is probably the second most complimented perfume on me, after Prada Infusion d'iris Cèdre.

So pleasant and easy to wear and layer it. Yes, nothing groundbreaking but delightful and definitely worth it for the price. The bottle has a vintage look and feel so I keep it on a tray with some pearls for decoration. I layer it with a musky attar by afnan and it's delicious.

I love this more than all my other cheapie No5 knockoffs. This one takes the cake. I just wish it lasted longer...

At first sniff, I was reminded of L'Aimant, but a few seconds later, the similarity ended. My first thoughts were "Not bad"..."actually, smells cheap"...."ah, actually, not bad". As you can tell, I didn't like the opening that much, but I kept sniffing my arm afterwards and thought it was... alright. Certainly great for the very low price! It does smell a lot like Chanel No. 5 to me, AND it smells better than No. 5 on my skin. (No. 5 and I don't get on, sadly. Too much of a urine scent with my body chemistry.) I'm not keen on the slightly animalic notes in either. On the whole, I prefer L'Aimant's cheerful, fruity notes. This perfume reminds me of an older, very self-confident woman in full make-up and a fur coat, getting ready for an expensive day out in town. Not sure it's me! But I'll keep trying. Edit: I sprayed it again and found it much nicer than before - sweeter, too. Not sure why, but it's certainly growing on me!

Both the color and the scent are very reminiscent of a Channel perfume, although the box is green and has nothing to do with the perfume. Its permanence in the skin is very fast and after 30 minutes what remains is a memory of cedar, aldehyde and musk, in this order. For mature women, it is mysterious and elegant, but nothing new since Channel has already explored this combination a lot. Best to use at night and on cold days.

Чувствую очень много альдегидов. Это самая первая и самая громкая нота, которой приветствует вас Кассандра. Такое хорошее, парфюмированное цветочное мыло. Затем сквозь мыло проступают цветы. Трудно разобрать: то ли припудренные жёлтые, то ли белые... Но скорее, наверное, белые. А когда смотрю на пирамиду и вижу в сердце ноты иланг-иланга и розы, то начинаю понимать что их я тоже слегка улавливаю.

I vouch that Cassandra is a pretty chypre for under $5. Sometimes $2.50! It's better than other No 5 cheapies because it is not jacked up with off notes, rather it's airy and soft in tone. See also Blue Grass by Elizabeth Arden. Update: I also bought the deo body spray. If you want room spray that smells like No 5, this is it.

According to the brand's website : Top : Neroli, Bergamot Heart : Styrax, rose, Ylang Base : Moss, ambrarome, civet. Beautiful aldehyde fragrance. Ridiculously low price but expensive smelling. Sillage and lasting power are good.

I really used to like it, alternating it with Avon Gold when I needed that “put together grown up” smell while in a hurry. My former boss, who never complimented anything, once straight up told me how good I smelt. But then something happened: I didn’t touch it for a good year and when i grabbed it back, it had the foulest smell of old, unkept, musty, very disgusting! Whyyyy! it was stored at room temperature slightly on the colder side, in a place with only artificial light working about 6hrs a day. had to throw it away, it was so terrible i wouldn't use it even for sneakers. sad :(

If you love soapy scents ( and i know some of you do ) you'll love this one . I usually like the Aldehyde group , but this is really too much for me , it is a bit resembling Chanel n°5 , but though i love n°5 EDT , i don't like Cassandra :-(

Acho muito atalcado e vintage ao ponto de me recordar pessoas maduras. Se você é jovem não vai querer cheirar como esse perfume.

I blind bought it a couple of weeks ago. As I first tried it, I thought: oh well, another cheapie blind buy fail. I found it unbearably soapy (and I like soapy), almost nauseating. Then, as it went to the drydown, I kept smelling my wrist again and again. The fatty soap was gone, replaced by a clean, intimate warmth - not quite fruity, not quite floral, not quite woody, but all of these at the same time, in a wrap of musk. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is very similar to Chanel n° 5, at a fraction of the price, and has the same vintage aura. Interestingly enough, it got me compliments from 2 ladies in their early 30s. If this kind of fragrance is your jam, go for it. It's cheap as can be.

2 minutes down: Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme (due to the aldehydes I suppose) 5 minutes down: Chanel No.5 (no problem, good enough a dupe) 15 minutes down: Marseille soap (fluffy and cottony, yet fresh; just nice!) 3 big ups: 1) the price 2) the sillage (but NOT particularly the longevity - at least not on my skin) 3) this scent is wearable all year round: powdery and cottony enough for a cold season AND soapy and fresh enough for a warm one 1 big down (for me): the bottle cap - although, on second thouhts, this creamy beige plastic renders quite well enough the ultimate powdery drydown of the whole scent (Sorry for the lot of 'enoughs'...)

Cassandra is a very true dupe of Chanel No 5. If you like Chanel No 5 you simply can't go wrong with it. Longevity and sillage is pretty good. Indeed -just like the original- it's such a heady fragrance that it can instantly give you a headache if overdone.

I found it awful, like a cheap scent from the 70ties , I gave it away , like an Avon scent, definitely for the lovers of real vintage scents. It would be a cheap version of Chanel 5, in some respect.

my grandma has a bottle of this, it a pretty classic scent that lasts for a long time .

Smells like more diplomatic Chanel n5, still smells vintage and heavy tho.
