Colonial Club Legend

The opening is quite good but it is the drydown where this fragrance really shines. The vetiver is dark yet inviting, just like Encre Noir, the drydowns of these two being almost identical. 8+ hours of longevity and above average projection, this is an absolute banger which cost me only 14 dollars for 100 mL. I'm getting a back up bottle before they run out of this.

This is one of my most complimented fragrances and it's funny considering that I paid less than €10 for it. It smells very close to Terre d'Hermès, just a little bit cleaner and brighter, so a bit less of that "dirty" of the famous "dirty orange". Fantastic performance - I even got compliments around 8 hours after spraying.

I loved this one, smells classy yet affordable.

I own and have tried all from Colonial Club line: • Pour Homme • Signature • Ypsos • Legend Ranked from most to least fav: 1. Ypsos 2. Legend 3. Pour Homme 4. Signature Signature is just too sweet. And the dry down is juat something I don't like the most. Pour Homme is just so so, yet still worth to try and still signature scent worth for someone. Ypsos is clearly the most modern smelling, most versatile, very mass appealing, most easy to like. For me it's Sauvage in the opening, then Luna Rossa Carbon from mid to end. Legend is the most challenging, mature, classy. Almost as versatile as Ypsos. But Legend is best for night wear and formal / date occassion. Still great to wear on hot days though. This one is the best performer out of these four. Best SPL. In short, I think all of them are great. Very smooth and very good quality for the price. Very worth wearing everyday. For you who don't care about brand-pride, these four can cover all of your frag-needs. Pour Homme / Ypsos for daily wear. School / work / casual / formal. Signature for night / fun / date wear. Legend for more serious occassion.

If this perfume were a story, it would be a clean motorbike rider promising safe adventures and getting you home by 9 PM. Picture your motorbike broken down in the middle of the desert, a long stretch of road ahead and behind. And yet, you feel unfazed, knowing that the years of experience will get you out of there. You find shade waiting for a car to pass, the heat gets to you a little, your skin spicing up the earthy tones of dust that have gathered on your sweat. A car finally arrives and you walk with the confidence of someone that always gets what they want, an alluring figure of confidence. The only thing this perfume will get you though is the respect of your coworkers.

I wish this guy would get more attention! And yes, it is a guy. I mean, I'm female and dont like gender-boxing scents, but on the odd occasion that I wear it, I only do it because it feels almost taboo. It is a pile of pepper on a leather chair in the smoking room of a gentleman's club that I would most definitely never be allowed admission to. I smell no citrus, and I'm glad. Citrus would add modernity, and while that might make it more popular, it would ruin its...vibe? Its longevity is great, its presentation outstrips its price and its just downright dominating. I would hate it if every man smelt like this, but its a great fit for a special few.

Colonial club legend opens on a similar vibe than terre d hermes and mila schone uomo. It s a bit smoother than the later though. Then flowers show up prob geranium and jasmine in the background. Then the core of the juice that s where it settles apart from TdH. Way less spicy but much more peppery.also comes to mind at this point the drydown of l occitane eau de vétiver. It s well blended and never looks generic in my humble opinion. Longevity is above average and so is sillage A great cheapo (7 euros with shower gel and after shave. Go figure...) especially if you like the hermes creation. Not original but nicely made by the arthes house.

Very crisp and sharp edges of pepper and orange peel But it's kinda shallow. It's like there's a void between it's leather base and the sharpness. It has not much depth IMO, unless you count the void as creating depth. But the depth is just penetrated by a sharp stick, and not generously filled. It's very masculine though. It has some soft leather, but the softness is overshadowed by pepper and sweet bergamot drops scent Anyway, I like it. It gives me associations to the middle ages or something like that. - And to Terre d'Hermes of course.

Discovered this at a perfume store at a shopping mall, heard about this but very rare to find it in my country tried this...voila ..love it ! TdH but a litle twist..i think better..the price affordable.

It's an okay clone of TDH from the scent perspective, but performance is rather weak unfortunately. No more than 4h longevity on my skin with decent sillange only in the first hour.

Alkoholos nyitás sok borssal és füszeres vonallal, férfias illat lenne de túlzóan sok a borsosság, a tartóssága nem túl jó, 2 esetleg 3 órán át érezni, szerencsére...Leszáradás után marad a tömény bors, hihetetlenül büdös. Aki jót akar magának, messzire elkerüli. Ezért az árért már lehet minőséget kapni, én nem javaslom, csak abban az esetben ha azt akarod hogy messzire elkerüljön minden ember, agórafóbia esetén kiváló opció, senki sem marad meg az ember 1-2 méteres közelében arra a 2-3 órára amíg érezni lehet. Update: It didn't get better over time. It stinks, I hate it.

A very good opening but the dry down with the smoke ain't it.

This smells like the slapdash successes of Natalie Lorson. It resembles Lorson's Encre Noires, which are more complex and which were at their debut - wonderful. But I have in mind her delightful budget Beckham Beyond Forever, which is discontinued but not forgotten. It's a simple smelling blend with no evolution, but it does smell great and it blends well with more complex and dynamic scents. One doesn't often find five dollar gems that are so perfectly dry and masculine. Even the Beckham mentioned above retailed for 4x the price of Colonial Club Legend. Bonus: bottle is not ugly.

This perfum is an absolute classic. It’s not really citrusy as it claims. It’s smoky & deep. The black pepper & leather notes are prominent, while the rest of the notes take the back seat but blend together nicely. Incredible, elegant bottle design. Recommended for special occasions. I’d imagine a bold, mature hunk wearing this perfume - Not for boys! Truly Jeanne Arthes = Quality, luxurious perfumes at affordable price ♥️

Am I the only one who feels a Fahrenheit vibe with this perfume??? It's mostly earthy, vetivery and leathery but also has this 'plasticine' feeling... I dont' feel much of the orange aspect, I would rather say that something more bitter is there (grapefruit?). I like it, it's classy, remarkable and 'serious'.

Yes, I totally agree with davna, it is really similar. However for those who expect a 100% copy, it will not be a perfect replacement, as this one is fresher, greener and a little less spicy. All in all, a really elegant and intriguing scent.

Terre d'Hermes on a budget with less performance. Quite good for the price :)
