Golden Goal

The bottle sold me on this one, I figured worst case scenario I could give it away as a gift to one of my soccer-loving friends. I'll get right to it, this is an inexpensive JPG Le Male. A new, non-beastly formulation. It has that strong lavender, cardamom vibe that Le Male has. I find this one lacking Le Male complexity but it is much more hot-weather friendly because of the extra bergamot blast and considerably weaker sillage. Longevity isn't the greatest either, not compared to an older Le Male formulations that would stay on your skin overnigh. For the price, not a bad choice if you're going to be wearing it out on a hot night to the club or to your soccer game. That being said, I don't think I'll be buying another bottle of this once it's gone.

It’s nothing special really. It starts with a very spicy-woody combination that is strong and intense, not that the sillage is any good mind. After a while this sweet/spicy/dark woody scent appears, probably a result of the numerous spices and lavender in the composition. The sweet edge starts to develop more and more giving the scent a tart bitterness as the bergamot and caraway comes through. The sweetness mellows down after a while and it gives the scent a slightly sweet/spicy/woody/musty feel which only lingers on the skin for a while as the Vetiver starts to reveal itself. It does have this kind of Spicy/woody like scent running through it as a result of the Cedar. All in all it’s an ok Fragrance. The sillage is bad to say the least. When you first spray it, it does fill the room before disappearing. Golden Goal sticks to your skin but it doesn’t have a good sillage at all. This would be better in an Eau de Parfum formula, however I feel that they would have to balance out the spices otherwise it would be headache inducing.
