Guipure & Silk Havana Moon

This was a blind buy, and the first time I sprayed it, I got the overwhelming impression of pee-soaked mattress, I was appalled, and so was my daughter. However, that was in the height of summer. Trying again in winter, and now I can smell sweet honey and citrussy brightness. There's definitely a milkiness that softens everything, and some earthy depth that must be the patchouli. There is a hint of soapy floral that must be the bergamot and orange blossom. It's a very pretty scent, sweet and feminine. Later on the nutty, chocolatey sweetness of the praline settles in with the earthiness of the patchouli, it's gorgeous. A fall/winter scent for sure, it's understated enough to carry you through a cold day, and powerful enough to take you into the evening. They project wonderfully when a breeze hits them. I love these perfumes because they are heady but not overwhelming. I can't stand very strong perfumes such as Obsession, which I tried recently and which I think I hate - but I am trying to foray into something with more heaviness and depth than the lighter, fresher perfumes I usually like. Jeanne Arthes perfumes smell and feel more like a blend of oils than alcohol based perfumes, and that is a bonus too. They last, at least on my skin. Also they are very cheap. The only downside is the bottles - the cap and decoration being made of very cheap plastic that looks lovely in a picture, but close up they look pretty awful. All in all, I would say that I love this and I plan to try as many Jeanne Arthes perfumes as I can.

Finally this perfume made it to Fragrantica! I blind bought this perfume because I am a Jeanne Arthes perfumes lover. When I first sprayed it on, I immediately fell in love with the rich, sultry smell. I was skeptical about this perfume before buying it because of the ylang-ylang note. This particular note could smell too heavy and dizzy for some people. Surprisingly, it turns out amazing on me. This perfume smells heavenly warm and floral. Yes, kinda smell like something a confident & glamorous woman would wear. It is true that this perfume smells like JPG Scandal. After a few hours, the dry down smells close to Jeanne Arthes Love Never Dies Night Dream. Overall, it's a great buy considering the price is cheap and the quality & performance is great ;-)

So, do you want to get a Scandal but you don't have the money for it? Get Havana Moon. Funny thing is that Scandal lasts much less on my skin than Havana Moon. Lasts almost all day on my skin, I feel the scent up until next day on my clothes, it's very cheap, it's the best dupe for Scandal, has a gorgeous bottle, what's not to love? I definitely recommend it.

Love <3 I blind bought this before it had a frag page, just based on the notes. It is absolutely wonderful, I love how it's a sweet chocolate, milk and honey fragrance, but it has some dark deep mysteriousness to it. The longevity is around 7 hours on me, and it's quite linear, but it's such a lovely scent that I don't care. It's ridiculously cheap too

What a wonderful scent! I have almost all Guipures. This one is my favorite. Honey + milk + praline... so yummy! This is a real sweet paradise. Budget price and expensive fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous as well.
