Love Generation Rock

I'm very happy I decided to give this a blind buy! I previously owned a small sample bottle of Ange ou Demon and when I first tried it, I hated it! But because I loved the bottle so much I gave it another go and to my surprise it grew on me and soon became addictive. When that ran out I realized I couldn't afford to buy a proper bottle so I stumbled across this cheaper dupe months later. At this point I'd forgotten what Ange ou Demon smelled like, but one spray of Love Generation Rock and all those comforting notes came back to me! It doesn't seem strong to me. Every note is subtle but work together very well. I didn't think I liked powdery perfumes but this is the right kind of powdery. It also has a tangy-ness to it but the citrus note isn't overpowering which I like. I knew I loved ylang-ylang because I had a shower gel with it in and its such a gorgeous light, oriental smell. Th woody notes give it a bit of an earthy, more unisex vibe which is ideal for me as II'm not one for overly feminine, sweet perfumes. I think this may become my signature fragrance because it's soft enough to wear all day long, but mysterious enough to be attractive on night's out too!

Yesterday I purchased a Linn Young fragrance not listed on this site which incidentally perfume lovers is a strong copy of this. Linn Young's 'OSO Woman' in an amazing purple sculpted aka Gautier flacon is identical to Jeanne's 'Love Generation Rock'. It was a mere 14 Dollars. Aussie one's for a 100 mill EDP. Or one might say another version of 'Ange ou Demon'? at a fraction of the price, and I can't smell anything obnoxious about this fragrance either. It has great sillage and is quite long lived on my skin. And that's saying something, as fragrances don't seem to like hanging around on me. I found this, and he also stocks a few Jeanne Arthes other fragrances, at a small independent chemist in Balaclava near the station. His sign outside say's discount perfumes and the chemist is called 'Wholesale Chemist'. He also stocks 'Coscentra' and 'Linn Young'. I also saw Sistell fragrances as well. 'Sanderling'. Anyway I hope this information helps the Melbournian Fragrantica members.

This perfume is deliciously divine. I feel very sexy when I wear this I absolutely love the oriental, gourmand scents with tonka bean and flowers! On me it is very cozy. It's orange spicy zest. Its like birch beer or a root beer float and creamy like crème brulee or eggnog. Its a very delicate but inviting, sensual scent. Its gourmand but there is a floral note of lily and orchards that brings this perfume together. I got mine off of EBay for 7.00 what a steal for such a lovely scent. I would wear this any time of year. Its scent lingers nicely in cold or warm weather. It is a sexy scent indeed. Wicked cool bottle very rock n' roll. One of my favourte's definitely. Somebody said it smells like nutmeg and I agree. Sweet soft root beer float topped with vanilla ice cream and nutmeg or eggnog. It has a fresh floral drydown that is delighful. Yummy. Scrumptious. Delicious. Delicate.

I am so impressed at the quality here! I think the rockstars of this perfume are saffron, lily, and thyme. The vanilla and florals, especially lily, are giving off a creamy sweetness to balance the slightly medicinal, spicy aromatics of saffron and thyme. The effect is comforting, mysterious, delicious, and magical. I understand the spicy root beer reference others have noticed, but it's also got a cooling powdery effect in there, too. This perfume pulls off creamy, aromatic, sweet, spicy, and powdery-cool equally well at the same time. I've never smelled anything like it so far. It is a little magic potion that I'm so pleased to have found. Lovely, vanilla woods drydown and lasts a long time (8 hrs)! So well done. Very inexpensive, too. Love it!

This tattooed punk rock bad girl surprised me with its scent. I like the packaging, it is so different from the fragrances I usually sample. After testing it in a drugstore I was blown away. It opens up creamy and inviting, it has a dessert like quality, powdery tonka-vanilla but never too sweet. Very close to Ange ou Demon, and also reminds me to the gourmand Alien flankers (Alien Taste of Fragrance and Sunessence). Absolutely in contrast from what you would expect based on the packaging. The bottle is cute, it cheers me up and brings me into a crazy, playful mood. The elegant and complex, well blended scent itself is very unexpected, like if the tattooed punk rock girl started singing from Madame Butterfly. I can't help but love it!

This is a lot like Romantic. I was given about 50 sachets of Romantic about Ten years ago and was so impressed with it's longevity and ability to make me feel as though I had something truly different and sexy on. Jeanne Arthes fragrances are in a class of their own and represent true value for money, and one can say uniquely scented to identify with the product. I was so hoping to find any of these fragrances and travelled closer to town to find an outlet that does sell a couple of varieties from this range. This fragrance is aromatic and slightly sweet, mingles well with my bad habits. At under Ten Aussie dollars for a 60 mill bottle of Eau De Parfum. I'd say it's a gem of a deal. I love this! It is indeed very similar to AoD, but it's a bit lighter which makes it wearable in warm weather too, whereas AoD is strictly a cold weather scent on me. My only complaint is that the longevity doesn't hold a candle to AoD, but for the super cheap price, who really cares? Spray away! I also like the bottle a lot, I thought it was kind of tacky in the picture, but it's cute in person and the glass is nice and heavy-it doesn't feel or smell nearly as cheap as it is :) PS- for some reason I'm seeing it advertised for prices up to $70 on here, what?? No! Go buy it on eBay, I got my bottle for $6!

Carnations and creme or lily-vanilla nutmeg powder. Love it. I bought it because it reminds me of Ange ou Demon but has a better drydown for my skin. Ange ou Demon has a slightly better beginning (wonderfully haunting) but dries down super sweet-spicy cloying on me where LGR dries down to a more creamy and airy base so I prefer Love Generation Rock overall. I'm going to pour my LGR into a more delicate, vintage style bottle because I think it suits the juice better than the one it is sold in. Not complaining about the LGR bottle though. This only cost me 10 dollars of CVS bucks a couple years ago.

Wow another winner! I also have Love never dies Gold and I am in love with that one as well. This I think I might love even more. I honestly have owned really expensive perfumes but I seem to find more comfort in the less costly ones. I would not mind owning every single perfume from the Jeanne Arthes line. From my experience with two of them they are high quality well made fragrances that have great sillage and lasting power. What more can you ask for at $14 a bottle? Great smell, gorgeous bottle and long lasting power. A big win in my book!

Received yesterday, sprayed last night and I can still smell it (even over my tanner which was also applied last night lol!) Wow, this is gorgeous and for under $10! Never tried Ange Ou Demon or any of the other "comparables" but this on its on own is amazing especially when you consider the price. It is sweet in a non-sickly way and softly spicy, I can imagine this would smell amazing in Winter (its summer here so it will have to wait a little while)

Another blind buy gone right. The strongest notes for me are ylang ylang and vanilla, saffron, and tender woodsy notes. My nose gets sweet coconut as well. It reminds me a little of Harajuku Lovers' G edt, but as this is an edp, the longevity and projection are superior. Even my hb liked this scent on his skin. Longevity is good, best year round in my opinion, cold or warm, though I have not tried it in a warm climate.

Wow, was I shocked to see orange rated as the weakest note. When I splashed some Love Generation Rock on my wrist, the citrus was the first note that hit me, followed by vanilla and tonka. This scent really doesn't present as a floral on me, but it is very pretty. It has a bit of an orange creamsicle vibe without being overly sweet.

This perfume is exactly exactly exactly to "ANGE OU DEMON", but I love "Love Generation Rock" actually I rather this one than "Ange ou Demon" I really don ́t know exactly why maybe because of the bottle with an Ed Hardy ́s similar design :) I really love this scent. It is sexy and mysterious ;)

I FINALLY know what this reminds me of! Eggnog. The vanilla, warmth, and spices really make this scent smell like a Christmas dessert to me. I'm also surprised to see no musk listed under the notes! All in all, a very nice scent. One of my favorites from the "Love Generation" line.

on jeanne arthes spree today... generation rock on my skin is like spicy, woody, sweet & balmy (very prominent) and hint of floral... reminds me of some kind of sweet/candy like when i was little :) anyhow like it alot very unique scent, good for nite time wear

Love this, putting it in my top 5, sweeter than AoD to me but very similiar, good 6+ hours and arm's length sillage.. I smell lots of vanilla & orchid, a hint of the tonka, ylang ylang, saffron & the woods.. Doesn't seem to change at all on me.

Quite similar to Ange ou demon, except the empowering mandarin note in the beginning. Once the strong citrus notes air out, it is identical to AOD. It is quite long-lasting, and has very powerful sillage in the beginning.

Love it! It ́s indeed exactly the same smell like Givenchy Ange ou Demon. It ́s fresh and a little bit sweet and spicy. I really like it and for such a low price.
